      Help us reach more souls

We continue with the oldest Novena approved by holy Mother Church that leads up to next Sunday for Pentecost - the Nine Day Novena to the Holy Ghost.

This week we feature a sermon a day with Fr. Benedict Hughes, CMRI on Sunday and then throughout the week each day one by Bishop Daniel Dolan, two on the Ascension and three on the saint of the day, St. Francis Caracciolo, St. Boniface and St. Norbert respectively, capped by His Excellency's audio of First Saturday Devotions and the holy Rosary. We begin the month of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus this week and a good time to reintroduce Consecration to and Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Home

Again, I ask your indulgence in my continuing plea for your charity. As I indicated in the past editions, I ask your prayers and support since we are definitely in the red in endeavoring to somehow pay our just debts on past medical expenses, not to mention my bride Cyndi's funeral costs, where the aggregate has now reached over $7,000. and climbing because of late charges. I ask your help in remembering Cyndi by donating whatever you can afford to help alleviate the debts she accrued through no fault of her own. I humbly ask you to open your heart to Cyndi's Angels.

Also keep in mind I'm trying to cover all bases while surviving without Cyndi's Social Security check of $515.00 each month that had helped cover the mortgage, escalating lot rent, and car, in addition to other necessary expenses. Did I mention that I take not one cent of salary, nor have I over the past twenty years? Publishing the DailyCatholic has always been a labor of love for the love of Jesus, His Most Immaculate Mother Mary, and for perpetuating the Truths and Traditions of holy Mother Church from Peter through Pope Pius XII before the Great Apostasy eclipsed the True Church. I pledge to fight on in the trenches, minus a part of me - my soulmate - for I am confident God always has this traditional apostolate's back and I hope and pray you will, too. God bless and keep.

On this Sunday within the Octave of the Ascension of Our Lord. The Station is at St. Mary "ad Martyres" Let us, like the Apostles gathered together, prepare in prayer for the holy day of Pentecost. Let us pray, as the Church prescribes, for the return of heretics to unity. On this day when the ...More

For all Low Masses there is a commemoration of Saint Angela Merici, who was the youngest of her virtuous parents' five children; she was born in Italy, near Brescia, in 1474. The grace which filled her soul made her beauty a trial for her, and as a young girl she already rejected all vanities. Every evening at home the parents read to the children from the lives of the Saints, and Angela wished to imitate ...More

In the Haydock Commentary provided by John Gregory for the Sunday after the Ascension, what is pointed out is that in all things Christ must be honored and defended even if it means being persecuted for believing in Him. Our Lord conveys these final words to His disciples, foretelling of a time when the Jews and unbelievers would greatly harass and even kill them. Every apostle except for St. John suffered martyrdom. When Jesus speaks of His followers "being put out of the synagogues" what do you think they'd have to say about Mr. Bergolio the unFrancis' schmoozing and giving credence to Caiaphas and all the faithless Jews since who persist in their error? What does he do just as his predecessors did but not only participate, thus publicly giving scandal through his persistent heresy, but proclaims that the Jews do not need to be converted. But then what's new? Proselytizing has gone the way of the dodo bird in the CONciLIAR church. In fact, these apostate 'popes' have done it so much that few recognize the apostasy in their midst. "They have not known the Father, nor Me"

Father Benedict Hughes, CMRI, Rector of St. Joseph's Minor Seminary in Rathdrum, Idaho at the City of Mary presents an eleven-minute sermon recorded for Traditional Catholic Sermons for the Sunday after the Ascension in which Father reminds us of Christ's promise to send the Advocate, the Sanctifier and all we need do is ask and desire to remain in the state of Sanctifying Grace. We see in the Gospel that there will be a time when we will be persecuted for proclaiming Christ and good will be called evil. Talk about those times, just look around. But if we stay close to the Third Person of the Holy Trinity we can be assured of success. Father points out why the Novena is important in his sermon Come, Holy Ghost

Piety is the Gift of the Holy Ghost highlighted today and it gives one to pause and consider that if more people had piety there would be less wars, less hate, less animosity towards our fellow man and many, many more converts for man would, just through his piety, respect all that God has created. There'd be no need for ecological matters, politicians, even lawyers. Man would be in harmony with the will of God, but then who are we kidding. Few even respect the virtue of piety let alone ask it of the Sanctifier. That is one reason why our world is in such turmoil today because of the chaos in the world for the devil steers man away from humility and consequently away from God. That is why piety is so pertinent in loving God and respecting all He has deigned for the welfare of man's salvation as we see in the Third Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

Within the Octave Day of the Ascension. Forty days after the Resurrection, Our Lord Jesus Christ, attended by Angels, ascended into Heaven, in the sight of His most holy Mother Mary, His Apostles, and disciples, to the great wonder of them all. He entered into possession of the Kingdom of Heaven which He had gained by His sufferings, and St. Paul declares that God "hath made us sit together in the heavenly ...More

Fortitude is the Gift of the Holy Ghost highlighted today and it is through perseverance that we can realize our heavenly reward, but only in striving to do God's holy will in all things. Fortitude fortifies us not to worry about what will happen to our physical well being or material things and never to put merit into the approval of man but always in the approval of the Holy Trinity for that is all that really counts. All the rest don't amount to a hill of beans. Yet to sustain ourselves we need beans and other nourishment so that we can physically carry out whatever mission God appoints for each person's spiritual welfare. Fortitude enables us to accept our crosses and whatever sufferings God chooses for His children and not to question. That isn't easy. That is why the Gift of Fortitude is so vital. Fourth Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

During this time within the Octave of the Ascension, we bring you sermons pertaining to Our Lord's glorious Ascension into Heaven. Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we're able to bring you this fourteen minute sermon in which His Excellency Bishop Daniel Dolan equates our soul to the tiny cricket. Why? Because while the worker ants are distracted by things of this world, the crickets' choir constantly are preaching as the bishop notes for if we close our ears to the world we, like the crickets, will instinctively realize that Christ, ascending into Heaven, takes captivity captive. Like the ant we scurry to and fro too much. It was Jiminy Cricket who was the wise one when Pinocchio strayed from the straight and narrow. Shouldn't we take a lesson from the cricket and work on leaping towards Heaven. It's time for us to think about our own end as God's Own creation reminds us in A Cricket's Sermon

Fifth Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

We bring you another sermon by Bishop Dolan on the glorious Ascension during this Octave time. He notes how the angel chided the Apostles on what were they waiting for. It was time to carry out Our Lord's charge to them to go out and preach. Of course, they need some extra prodding which would come on Pentecost Sunday. The bishop points out that praying is seeking God with the fulness of our hearts. In The problem is we're so impatient, we don't listen. We stand there clueless like the Apostles. But he reminds us that there are few left standing to carry on Christ's mission as He truly intended. If we live every minute as a prayer, we will not waste our time and that translates to less time in Purgatory. If we need help, do as the bishop says, ask Mother Mary for Help in Looking to Heaven Daily Prayer

Today is the feast of Saint Francis Caracciolo. He was born at Villa Santa Maria in Abruzzi, Italy, then the kingdom of Naples on October 13, 1563. Francis' baptismal name was Ascanio. His father was related to the Neapolitan princes of Caracciolo, and his mother was related to the Angelic Doctor St. Thomas Aquinas. At 22, Francis developed a skin disease similar to leprosy, and his case was thought to be hopeless. He vowed that ...More

Understanding is the Gift of the Holy Ghost highlighted today. Just as one would require the Gift of Knowledge as we showed yesterday, so one would want the Gift of Understanding to comprehend how the robber barons have infiltrated and usurped holy Mother Church; how the whore of Babylon tries to take the place of the Mystical Bride. It cannot last for through Understanding we know God will not allow it to continue and we realize that the Church, being the Mystical Bride of Christ, cannot err. Since those who pose as leaders of a church called 'Catholic' have erred and done so grievously and quite possibly intentionally, we know it is not Catholic. Through the Gift of Understanding we know why and we know what is truly Catholic and flee from anything that is not. Through the Gift of Understanding we can comprehend true teaching and alert others to beware of the wolves among the sheep and why the sheep have scattered for the hirelings care not for souls. This has been proven over the past fifty years and counting. The Gift of Understanding will enable us to know how to combat this apostasy in being faithful to Christ and His Church. Sixth Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

We continue with Bishop Dolan's sermons this week. Today still within the Octave, the bishop features today's saint who would be St. Francis Caracciolo who placed everything in the hands of divine Providence, including his promise to God that if he was healed of his leprosy he'd devote his life to God in all things. From the depths of leprosy to the heights of Heaven is his legacy. By a quirk of Godincidence a letter sent to another came to him and, good to his promise, it led to his helping found the Order of Minor Clerks Regular, aided by st. Philip Neri in establishing numerous houses for the clerics. The bishop explains as he shares the life of St. Francis Caracciolo

Counsel is the Gift of the Holy Ghost highlighted today. It follows Knowledge and Understanding in a natural progression of applying those two attributes to be able to convey common sense in full accord with the divine Will in whatever we do in life while always remembering to take our God-given role of passing on the truths of the Faith to others seriously. We will be held accountable before the eternal Judge for how we conducted our lives and Counsel helps us as a moral compass, so to speak, in navigating through life. It truly is a Gift we should all strive for, especially Traditional Catholics who have such a massive mission to enlighten those plunged in the darkness of the conciliar church and worldly values.Seventh Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

Continuing sermons for this week, today is the feast of St. Boniface given by Bishop Daniel Dolan back in 2009 at St. Gertrude the Great as we shares the holiness of this bold saint, known as the Apostle of Germany. The bishop prefaces his sermon on the greatness of the Holy Ghost and on devotion to the Sacred Heart. Boniface reached out to those who were not Catholic and persevered receiving the name Boniface from the pope to replace his birth name of Winfred. To prove to the pagans they were barking up the wrong tree by worshipping a large oak, he took an axe to the tree. Perhaps we need to take an axe to the CONciLIAR church today to shock the clueless sheeple out of their lukewarm lethargy to realize it is not Catholic. Oh, if only we had a Boniface today. St. Boniface

Today is the Double Feast of Saint Norbert who was born around 1080 at Kanten on the left bank of the Rhine, near Wesel. His father, Heribert, Count of Gennep, was related to the imperial house of Germany, and his house of Lorraine. A stately bearing, a penetrating intellect, a tender, earnest heart, marked the future apostle. Ordained subdeacon, Norbert was appointed to a ...More

Since this is the First Friday in June and the month of the Sacred Heart, some traditional areas observe the Mass of the Most Sacred Heart at Cogitationes Cordis

In this month of the Most Sacred Heart, what better way to start the month than to observe is the First Friday Devotions

Wisdom is the Gift of the Holy Ghost highlighted today. It follows Knowledge, Understanding, and Counsel in the line of combining mind and soul. This Novena is the oldest in the Church and it was with great wisdom that it was established as a devotion for all Catholics. The Gift of Wisdom enhances all the virtues and in these dire, dark times we all need to strengthen our faith against the wiles of the principalities of perdition. We need hope to forge on and persevere so that we will keep the faith, and, though charity towards others has been twisted to mean entitlement or redistribution among a generation who feel they are owed and this is mistakenly taken as charity, true charity requires the wisdom of giving because Christ asks us to give out of love for Him, not out of guilt or because we're pressured. With these Gifts of the Holy Ghost we are able to more clearly see the narrow path - the wise path - that alone leads to eternal life by turning our back on the world, the flesh and the devil.Eighth Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

Today His Excellency Bishop Daniel Dolan shares the life of the holy Bishop St. Norbert, which, delivered back in 2008, corresponds with First Friday of June this year as well with devotion to the Sacred Heart. Bishop Dolan reminds us that everything is recycled (hence the wisdom of holy Mother Church with the one-year liturgical cycle) so we're prepared to embrace life and not be floored when the unexpected happens such as what Norbert encountered with corruption by clerics in the Church, really a fraction of problems compared with today's Great Apostasy. Where are the saints today to come forward to expose the charlatans just as St. Norbert did by proclaiming the truth and making reparation for sins against the Blessed Sacrament? Combatting heresy is the same reason Christ appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque with ammo to save souls as Bishop Dolan shares on this day. St. Norbert

The Vigil of Pentecost resembles that of Easter. The Mass for Pentecost, formerly celebrated during the night, has, like the Mass of Easter, since been anticipated. There are six prophecies preceding the Mass, interspersed with Prayers and Tracts; formerly the catechumens, who had not been baptized at Easter, received the Sacrament on Whitsunday. The baptismal font is blessed, too and the Litany is sung, as on Holy Saturday. It seems as ...More

Today for the ninth and final day of this Novena to the Holy Ghost we focus on the Fruits of the Holy Ghost. These provide grace to perform good works under the inspiration of the Advocate. They contribute to pleasing not only God, but ourselves and our fellow man. These fruits enable us to be more virtuous in our lives by practicing charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, long-suffering, mildness, faith, modesty, continency and chastity. We dare say had more followed this Counsel, having the Gift of Wisdom through the Gifts of Knowledge and Understanding with the Gift of Fortitude for having a true Holy Fear via the Gift of the Fear of the Lord they would long to practice and acquire the Gift of Piety. Tomorrow we celebrate the arrival of the Sanctifier. Let us all strive to seek these seven Gifts He so generously bestows.Ninth and Final Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

Today, in honor of the First Saturday, His Excellency Bishop Daniel Dolan shares a special prayer of reparation and consolation to Our Lady and then, after about a minute break he shares the Fatima Prayer and then provides an excellent audio Rosary where you can pray along with him and come back to each day the Glorious Mysteries are said. This is especially helpful to those who have no one to pray with as he also provides a short meditation before each decade that adds to the ability to contemplate each mystery as we pray aloud with His Excellency. Today, being the Vigil of Pentecost, it is the transition from honoring almost exclusively the Mother of God as we did all through May to now focusing fully on her divine Spouse the Holy Ghost with the Novena we finish up today and Pentecost tomorrow and the ensuing week of Pentecost before honoring the Holy Trinity and then concentrating on the Sacred Heart of Jesus to whom this month is dedicated. First Saturday Devotions and the Holy Rosary

As much as we hate to beg, we have no choice. If you have benefited in anyway from what we have published, we humbly ask your help to keep this publication on line. We know that so many of our readers are unable to assist at a true traditional Latin Mass because of where they live and use the daily liturgy we publish to gain the efficacious graces possible through their prayers at home. We remain the only publication in the world to provide such and are grateful to God that we can provide such nourishment for souls. If you have not donated before, isn't it only right and proper to donate now? Whatever you can afford will be greatly appreciated. Just click the button below or send a check/money order to the address below. We are a bonafide non-profit 501c(3) religious association and all donations are tax-deductible. Whatever you would have contributed toward any bloated political campaigns or thrown away in the conciliar collection plates that only goes to covering up the sins of its presbyters and false primates while destroying all semblence of Catholicism, why not earmark it for SANCTUS/DailyCatholic? After all, shouldn't we all take St. Paul's strong counsel in 2 Thessalonians 2: 14 to heart and "stand firm, and hold the traditions which you have learned"?

To fortify why the CONciLIAR church is the false church, see key Papal Decrees that preceded it in pre-Vatican Two times by true Popes who solidly condemned the V2 false 'popes' who have spit in Heaven's Face.       We encourage you to learn more about the Traditional Latin Mass - the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in these videos at this link because each time you worthily assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in person, you gain graces that are placed in a "golden chalice", so to speak, and is offered to God to be weighed in substance when you stand before Him at your Particular Judgment. The more you have filled this chalice, the better will it go for your spiritual welfare in eternity, enhanced by your cooperation with grace. Know the Mass

When One Cannot physically assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass we provide additional prayers that can be supplemented with the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and the PROPER OF THE DAY to enable you to better prepare yourself at home. Of course, this never replaces actually being there, but it is much better than attending the Novus Ordo services. Therefore we have gleaned from The Key of Heaven prayers to say at home. It is very comforting to know that the Holy Mass is offered for us even when we are not actually present. But to enjoy the benefits which it procures, we must by a SPIRITUAL COMMUNION become partakers of the altar from which we are temporarily banished. Here we provide prayers in preparation for fulfilling assistance in absentia in addition to the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and PROPER OF THE DAY. PRAYERS IN ABSENTIA

    The Fatima Prayers

My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee; and I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love Thee.
(repeat the above 3 times then bow your head in reciting the following:)

O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in unison with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

O Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!

O my Jesus, it is for love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners.
