The climax, of course, for the month of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is the Double of the First Class Feast of the Sacred Heart on this coming Friday. This year it coincides with the traditional feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help which always falls on July 27th. Of course, like always Our Lady gives way to her divine Son and so we celebrate the First Class Feast. We continue with the two Novenas leading up to June 27th. This ten days are packed with three Doubles of the First Class feasts and Octaves beginning with being still Within the Octave of Corpus Christi and then Within the Octave of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist and finally Within the Octave of Sts. Peter and Paul. The latter feast supersedes the Third Sunday after Pentecost. So this is a great way to send June off with great celebration before ushering in the Double of the First Class Feast of the Most Precious Blood on July 1st to signal the beginning of the month of the Most Precious Blood.

We continue bringing you a sermon a day, thanks to the availability of Traditional Catholic Sermons, who have compiled a treasure of orthodox sermons that inspire the soul to strive towards holiness. Most of the sermons are by Bishop Daniel Dolan with the others by Fr. Benedict Hughes, CMRI, Fr. Kevin Vaillancourt, Fr. Charles McQuire, and Fr. Michael Oswalt. To add to this we present two Haydock Commentaries, so astutely provided by John Gregory for each Sunday of the year.

In addition, we begin the Fifteen Saturday Rosary Crusade first introduced by Bishop Robert McKenna, O.P. years ago, which we heartily endorse, especially this year when in August we will celebrate the 800th Anniversary of St. Dominic receiving the Holy Psalter of Our Lady in order to fight heresies. That weapon is still as powerful today and the saddest fact is that so few use it. This is a reminder to all in the Church Militant to forget Bergoglio's bent that the Rosary is old hat or "pelagian". Yes, resist him with all your might and rifle through those beads. Christ said we would be persecuted. Stand strong, "stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned", as St. Paul counsels us in 2 Thessalonians 2: 14. Therefore, storm Heaven with Ave's during this Great Apostasy - the "operation of error" that God is allowing to those who "receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved", (cf. 2 Thessalonians 2: 10). It's the best way to be rid of the likes of unFrancis and his ilk who, with his predecessors since the death of His Holiness Pope Pius XII, have so offended Our Lady and her divine Son, not to mention all in the great Communion of Saints. God will not be mocked. His time is coming. Mary's Immaculate Heart will triumph!
The rot of Vatican 2 has grown so that today several do not understand what defines a heretic as heresies abound. Yet, those in the "Recognize-and-Resist" camps continue the ridiculous spin, tripping all over themselves, that Jorge Bergoglio is a true 'pope' while all the evidence belies that statement, especially in the aftermath of the blatant apostasy in the Vatican Gardens on Pentecost Sunday. Thus, we present a two and a half minute video by Epichea Productions and first posted by Fr. Anthony Cekada on his Quidlibet to wake up the faithful to connect the dots on what constitutes a heretic. This shows clearly there is no room for doubt: The Vatican 2 'popes' have been heretics, ergo not true Roman Pontiffs. Flee the false church or forever rue it. Because of all the confusion over the last fifty-plus years and in light of the deliberate confusion fostered by the latest false 'pope' in the Modernist false church in Rome - the church of Darkness - we've decided to re-run our series on Catholicism Made Simple again for souls need to know what the Church truly teaches and realize that doctrine cannot evolve. Church teaching is set in stone. We cannot have an 'opinion' on dogmas. God said it, we believe it by faith, that settles it. No discussion. Therefore, with many new readers searching for answers, we will refresh everyone almost daily with the Truths and Traditions of holy Mother Church.

It all comes full circle during this month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus leading to the month of the Most Precious Blood. That is why we encourage you, if you have not done so, to seek out a true priest to come and enthrone and consecrate your home to His Sacred Heart. We refer you to our True Masses section for phone numbers of true priests throughout the United States for making an appointment for Consecration to and Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Home

Again, I ask your indulgence in my continuing plea for your charity. As I indicated in the past editions, I ask your prayers and support since we are definitely in the red in endeavoring to somehow pay our just debts on past medical expenses, not to mention my bride Cyndi's funeral costs, where the aggregate has now reached over $7,000. and climbing because of late charges. I ask your help in remembering Cyndi by donating whatever you can afford to help alleviate the debts she accrued through no fault of her own. I humbly ask you to open your heart to Cyndi's Angels.

Also keep in mind I'm trying to cover all bases while surviving without Cyndi's Social Security check of $515.00 each month that had helped cover the mortgage, escalating lot rent, and car, in addition to other necessary expenses. Did I mention that I take not one cent of salary, nor have I over the past twenty years? Publishing the DailyCatholic has always been a labor of love for the love of Jesus, His Most Immaculate Mother Mary, and for perpetuating the Truths and Traditions of holy Mother Church from Peter through Pope Pius XII before the Great Apostasy eclipsed the True Church. I pledge to fight on in the trenches, minus a part of me - my soulmate - for I am confident God always has this traditional apostolate's back and I hope and pray you will, too. God bless and keep.

Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we are able to bring you a twelve-minute VIDEO sermon by Fr. Charles McGuire, pastor of St. Hugh's Traditional Roman Catholic parish in Milwaukee for the feast of Corpus Christi, which is celebrated in churches today with a commemoration for the Second Sunday after Pentecost and then a procession of the Blessed Sacrament following the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Father is sharing with the children the importance of the the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Christ truly present in the Holy Eucharist and how in the CONciLIAR church it has been so abused because it is not really Jesus present because they have no way of confecting the Sacrament because of the apostasy inherent since Vatican II. He explains in his video sermon on Corpus Christi

John Gregory provides the commentary for the Second Sunday after Pentecost from Father George Leo Haydock found in many Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament. In the short, the powerfully poignant and pertinent words in today's paragraphs from our Lord's mouth give us knowledge that He reaches out to the most disadvantage of souls for His mercy knows no bounds, but those who reject Him, who decide they do not want to partake at His banquet will find no comfort nor a place at the table. Wise words for those who are starving for the true Faith and feel the emptiness in the novus ordo. Leave the scraps and rotting menu of misery and come to the true banquet - the Traditional Latin Mass where the Holy Sacrifice is celebrated by true priests, men who have not rejected Christ's invitation. True Catholics do not hate their neighbor but love him out of their love for God as St. Paul relates in today's Epistle and one who has such love wants his neighbor to partake in the banquet offered by the Lord. The Charity of God

Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we are able to bring you an eight and a half-minute sermon given five years ago by Bishop Daniel Dolan, pastor of St. Gertrude the Great in Cincinnati, Ohio. His excellency shares how much love St. Paulinus had for the Sacred Heart and he truly lived Christ's words, selling all he had to follow Our Lord as a religious. He gave all his money to the poor. As Bishop of Nola, he shared all he could with the poor and became known as the most holy, generous prelate in theland. He knew Our Lord's words that the poor would always be with us, but he also lived the Beatitudes. As the collect today speaks, we are to despise all the things of the world and, like this holy bishop, seek to love the Sacred Heart all the more. That was the essence of St. Paulinus of Nola

The Archangel Gabriel announced that Elizabeth would have a son. Saint John the Baptist came to prepare the ways of the Lord. In Rome the devotion to St. John centers around the Lateran Basilica where Pope Hilary had erected two oratories, one in honor of St. John the Evangelist and the other in honor of St. John the Baptist. These two oratories became so famous that they gave the name of St. John to the Lateran Basilica itself. The greatness of St. John the Baptist consists entirely in his mission of preparing the way for Jesus Christ. Therefore he did not live for himself, but for Christ and for His greater glory. This is ...More

We are still rejoicing in the aftermath of the coming of the Holy Ghost on Pentecost and, as you see in the headline above: "He will teach you all truth". However, in the last fifty plus years the truth has not been taught in the relativistic heretical church of Vatican 2 (that we deridingly label the CONciLIAR church in following the advice of exposing the charlatans by Pope Paul IV in his infallible decree Cum Ex Apostolatus Officio). In light of the deliberate confusion fostered by the latest false 'pope' in the Modernist false church in Rome - the one who wants to be just called 'Jorge' since he's so humble - NOT!, we've decided to re-run our series on Catholicism Made Simple throughout this week and in the future so that souls can know what the Church truly teaches and realize that doctrine cannot evolve. Church teaching is set in stone. We cannot have an 'opinion' on dogmas. God said it, we believe it by faith, that settles it. No discussion. Therefore, with many new readers searching for answers, we begin today with Step One in prayerful hope many will receive the grace to truly see by marching down the wide path afforded by those promoting the Novus Ordo rite - or Bogus Ordo as we term it - they'll realize they've missed the narrow path Jesus says we must follow. Also this series has been an effort to return to basics since too often we all make the holy Faith complicated, whereas in reality the truths and traditions of the Catholic Faith are quite simple. God doesn't complicate things, man does. Realizing this fact, we've decided to employ this series to simplify the tenets of the Faith for those who continue to wallow in what they think is the 'Catholic Church' out of obedience to a man and his hierarchy who long ago betrayed Christ and His flocks. This then, is an affirmation of the basic truths the Spotless Bride of Christ has always taught and cannot change or evolve as "living documents" for truth is truth. As we say every day in the Act of Faith, "We believe these and all the truths which the holy Catholic Church teaches, because Thou hast revealed them, Who canst neither deceive nor be deceived." If you have been deceived, and the vast majority have been, then realize what you've been indoctrinated with over the past 50 years cannot be from God but from His adversary. Our advice: flee the CONciLIAR confines as well as other man-made religions which do not teach these truths without compromise. Seek out a traditional chapel nearest to you. Knowing that is not as simple as it sounds, you can at least keep the Faith by knowing it. This is the intent of this series, beginning with Step One: Foundation and Mission of the Church

Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we are able to bring you a twenty-three-minute sermon given two years ago by Father Kevin Vaillancourt, pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Traditional Catholic parish in Spokane, Washington. Father reminds us tha, like us was conceived in sin, but was born without Original Sin as the Gospel of Luke tells us for he lept in his mother Elizabeth's womb and was the first to be baptized in the womb, if you will, for God had great plans for this holy man. The Baptist is mentioned several times throughout the Mass for he has "an integral part in everything regarding the mysteries of our redemption" because his mission from God was to Prepare A Perfect People

The Precursor of Christ was filled with the Holy Ghost even from his mother's womb. After an austere life as a hermit, he announced the Advent of Christ, preached penitence, and baptized in the Jordan. He was beheaded during the reign of Herod. The day of the death of other saints is kept as their feast, and in the case of St. John the Baptist the day of his birth is celebrated, as ...More

Last Sunday we celebrated Trinity Sunday so it is appropriate to feature the Blessed Trinity in step two today. As noted earlier, this series is an effort to return to basics since too often we all make the holy Faith complicated, whereas in reality the truths and traditions of the Catholic Faith are quite simple. Knowing that is not as simple as it sounds, you can at least keep the Faith by knowing it. This is the intent of this series, continuing with Step Two: The Blessed Trinity

We bring you today a seven-minute sermon courtesy of Traditional Catholic Sermons by His Excellency Bishop Daniel Dolan delivered six years ago on the feast of the Birth of St. John the Baptist, who, amongst those born of woman, there is no greater saint. The bishop notes that we can best imitate St. John the Baptist by letting the light of truth shine through. This is vital in these times when the truth is muffled by the CONciLIAR church that has deceived so many by the darkness wrought by the prince of darkness today. John embodies the truth and the sacrifice of every martyr for all time for he was, in essence, the first of the Baptized martyrs. The Nativity of St. John the Baptist

In addition to commemoration of within the octave of Corpus Christi there is also a commemoration of Within the Octave of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist this week as today we celebrate the Double Feast of the holy abbot St. William of Vercelli. He was born of noble parents in the year 1085 in Vercelli, Italy. But as an infant ...More

In continuing our series intent on simplifying the holy Faith for those so confused over the past 50 years by all the alterations of the truths and traditions of holy Mother Church, we focus today on the very essence of the Church Christ founded: the four indelible Marks of the Church that prove She is the only true Church, the only true religion by which we can reach Heaven. Christ as said it, that settles it. Over two millennia, many churches, claiming to be Christian, have broken away from the One True Church established by Christ. To date there are over 33,000 different sects who thought they had a better idea than the Son of God. These sects were founded by men who had no authority from God to found a church and this is proven by the fact they do not possess the four necessary indelible marks for authenticity. In step three we provide the evidence for this and how one can always prove the Catholic Church is the only true Church for She alone possesses the four indelible Marks of being One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic

Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we are able to bring you a seven-minute sermon given five years ago by Bishop Daniel Dolan, pastor of St. Gertrude the Great in Cincinnati, Ohio. His excellency's words on St. William of Vercelli, who, like St. John the Baptist, was a penitential loner during the 12th century who then went forth to preach the Faith to the masses while also founding a monastery and working miracles. Like the Baptist he was fearless for William knew no fear with God on his side. He converted kings and scaled mountains to establish the Benedictine Monastery of Monte Virgine in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary near where the Latin writer Virgil wrote the Illiad and the Odyssey. The Bishop reminds us that we never know how divine Providence will work if we are open to God's holy will just as did St. William the Abbot

Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we are able to bring you an minute sermon by Bishop Daniel Dolan on the two saints celebrated on June 26, Saints John and Paul who were slaughtered by Julian the Apostate in the fourth century. They were blood brothers who refused any authority of Julian who had turned against the Holy Trinity. Because they would not worship the Julian's false idol, they were beheaded and buried in their own home so few would know because of Julian's own fear that knowledge of this would fuel a rising resistence from others who were being slowly boiled like a frog, much like today's Catholics are lukewarmly going along with the heresies of the Modernist church of Rome. The bishop explains in relating the story of Sts. John and Paul

The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was established in order to stimulate the faithful to honor with more devotion and zeal, under the symbol of the Sacred Heart, the love of Jesus Christ, which Induced Him not only to suffer and to die for the redemption of mankind, but also to institute the Sacrament of His Body and Blood. Though the devotion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is of great antiquity In the Church, yet it was reserved to the holy St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, of the Order of the Visitation, to make this devotion public. During the Octave of Corpus Christi, In the year 1690, our Blessed Lord appeared to His devoted handmaid, and disclosing to her His Heart, said. "Behold this Heart, which, notwithstanding the burning love for man with which it is consumed and exhausted, meets with no other return from the generality of Christians than sacrilege, contempt, Indifference and ingratitude But what will it avail us to have listened to these so just claims of our Savior, if we are not moved with compassion, and generously resolved to testify our sorrow for our past indifference by honoring His Sacred Heart, and by repairing, as far as lies in our power, the insults to which His ardent desire to dwell with the children of men daily exposes Him in the august Sacrament of His love! If gratitude to the God Who suffered such torments for our salvation, does not Incline us to accept His gracious Invitation, and to rank ourselves among the number of His adorers, at least let the recollection of the many spiritual advantages to be derived from devotion to the Sacred Heart induce us to pray humbly and fervently, that He, Who has Himself declared ...More

Today is the Traditional Feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help and is superseded by the feast of the Sacred Heart along with the other commemoration above. In the thirteenth century, a beautiful picture of Our Lady holding the Child Jesus, with the Archangels Michael and Gabriel on either side of her, was painted in the East. In the fifteenth century, this picture was brought from the Island of Crete and was taken to Rome. It was placed in the Church of Saint Matthew in Rome. There, for three hundred years, pilgrims came to reverence and pray before this holy picture, because everyone loved its simplicity, its beauty and its truth. After the French Revolution, when the vicious Napoleon desecrated thirty Catholic Churches in Rome, this precious picture of Our Lady of Perpetual Help was hidden away, but it was rediscovered in 1862. It was then placed in the Church of Saint Alphonsus Maria de Liguori, founder of the Redemptorist Order, in Rome, where it is now kept. The purpose of this lovely picture is by way of simple and innocent symbol to teach us that Our Lady is our help in all things, and ...More

Today is the Ninth and Final Day of the Novena to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Today we say the Acts of Consecration and Reparation to the Sacred heart as we recall why our Lord appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque with the Twelve Promises and reasons for making Nine Consecutive First Fridays. There are many other devotions to the Sacred Heart and they are listed here below focusing on this great day as we encourage you to say as many times a day as you can the reverent ejaculation "Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have mercy on us" or the Latin "Cor Jesu Sacratissimum, miserere nobis." For today's prayers see:

The month of June is an ideal time to contact a true priest to have your home enthroned to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, especially in these times when satan can enter so easily through technology, acquaintances, what not. There are beautiful devotions in the Consecration and prayers that you can repeat monthly, weekly, or more often and on major feasts. In this time when many, because of distance, cannot get to a true Mass, it is the next best thing to have your home as a haven for the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. See Enthronement in the Home

John Gregory documents how the Heart of God has always been held in special esteem. Many are under the assumption that the Sacred Heart didn't come into devotion until our Lord appeared to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, but Sacred Scripture and the example of David who put his heart into action for the Heart of God, shows that the Heart of God has always been the portal to true Love. Without It, one enters a black hole that one may not be able to escape unless one has love for God, and subsequently, because of that, his neighbor. One cannot attain everlasting life without love. That love begins and ends with the Most Sacred Heart Whose love knows no bounds; Whose love can move mountains; Whose love can melt the coldest of hearts, soften the hardest; Whose love was so great that God gave of His Heart that in His human nature His love included suffering and dying on the cross - no greater love doth anyone have than to give His life that we might have eternal life. That's what the Sacred Heart is all about and no leader of men or nations will ever be successful until they realizes that as John explains in. The Heart of the Matter

Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we are able to bring you a twelve-minute sermon given last year by Father Benedict Hughes, CMRI, Rector of St. Joseph Seminary at the City of Mary in Rathdrum, Idaho. Devotion is so important for God has saved this devotion for the latter times. Though Catholics knew of His loving Heart, it did not become public until the 1670's. Images of the Sacred Heart show us the fire emitting form His Heart to show His love. The flames are surmounted by the Cross represents His ultimate sacrifice and the Heart is surrounded by thorns to show that His entire life was one of self denial and suffering. He loves us so much and there is so little love in return. The idea of the Sacred Heart entails reparation and it should pain us that anyone does not love Him and we should love Him enough to do what we can to bring others to Him, which will please Him greatly. After all is that not the greatest love we can give Him. Father explains in his sermon on The Sacred Heart of Jesus

Only a feast like the Sacred Heart could supersede the Feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, but then Our Lady always gives way to her divine Son in leading all of us to Him. There is a commemoration in some traditional chapels today with the Collect, Secret and Postcommunion for the Mass of "Gaudeámus ómnes" and, even though the novena leading up to this feast is completed today, we enourage all to continue this beautiful devotion that was approved, with the title and icon by His Holiness Pope Pius IX. If we ever needed Heaven's help, Catholics know who to ask for that help -- the very Virgin who is known as Our Mother of Perpetual Help. We'd be fools not to turn to her and constantly implore her aid at least weekly, if not daily with the Devotions to Our Mother of Perpetual Help

We join all our readers in once again extending our annual heartfelt congratulations to some special CMRI nuns for whom today is very special. First of all, today at the Solemn High Mass of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Sister Mary Petra celebrates her Silver Anniversary of taking her vows twenty-five years ago. Joining her is Sister Helen Marie who takes her triennial vows this day along with Sister Mary Cabrini who pronounces her first vows on this unique day that is also the traditional observance of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. In addition please keep Sister Catherine Lewis and Sister Hannah Welp, who is the niece of Fr. Bernard Welp, CMRI in your prayers as they enter the Novitiate of the Sisters of the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen under Novice Mistress Sister Mary Josephine at the Mother House of Mt. St. Michael's in Spokane, Washington. For more, see CMRI

With a commemoration of both within the Octave of the Feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist and the Vigil of the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul tomorrow, we celebrate the feast of the holy Bishop and Martyr St. Irenaeus. Information as to the life of the holy Father of the Church Saint Irenaeus, Bishop of Lyons, is scarce, and in some measure inexact. He was born in Proconsular Asia, or at least in some province bordering thereon, in the first half of the second century; the exact date is controverted, between the years 115 and 125, according to some, or, according to others, between 130 and 142. It is certain that, while still very young, Irenaeus had seen and heard the holy Bishop St. Polycarp (d. 155) at Smyrna. During the persecution of Marcus Aurelius, Irenaeus was a priest of the Church of Lyons. The clergy of that city, many of whom were suffering imprisonment for the Faith, sent him (177 or 178) to Rome with a letter to Pope Eleutherius concerning Montanism, and on that occasion bore emphatic testimony to his merits. Returning to Gaul, Irenaeus succeeded the martyr St. Pothinus as Bishop of Lyons. During the religious peace which followed the persecution of Aurelius, the new bishop divided his activities between the duties of a pastor and of a ...More

Four years ago, to add insult to injury, on the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus a man who long ago abandoned Christ and His Church, one Benedict-Ratzinger proclaimed to the world that the Church was wrong and that she made many mistakes. It was the same pattern John Paul-Wojtyla used on the First Sunday of Lent in the late nineties in apologizing for the "sins of the Church." And it is the same course and worse that their apostate predecessor Jorge Bergoglio the unFrancis has followed. These heresies alone would be enough to prove to anyone with common sense that they could not possibly be true popes according to the perennial Magisterium of the Church in preserving the Sacred Deposit of Faith. But then such deductions make good sense and good is no longer common these days. Make sense? What must make sense to all is that, despite man's fallen human nature he can make mistakes and does, but never can a true Pope err on matters of faith and morals when speaking ex cathedra. Fortunately the Holy Ghost has protected the true Church from error as Christ promised by not allowing anything infallible to be pronounced since 1950. Why? Because She is the spotless, Mystical Bride of Christ. We need to remember always God's Apodictic Assurance Since The Apostles .

Bishop Daniel Dolan brings us a sermon from seven years ago, courtesy of Traditional Catholic Sermons, on St. Irenaeus, but he focuses first on why we have the Vigil of Sts. Peter and Paul in reparation for the offenses against the Apostolic See, today so besmirched by the false 'popes' who claim the throne in this time of the Great Apostasy. St. Irenaeus refused to compromise to get along. Not so today sadly. Irenaeus was a disciple of St. John the beloved Apostle. He became a great missionary and able to learn several languages to communicate the Faith against heresy when already satan was attacking the Church just as he does today. St. Irenaeus has been able to refute the blasphemies way back then that have risen their ugly heads again today. We can go to school on the teachings of this holy Bishop and Martyr as Bishop Dolan explains in shares this magnificent foe of heresy St. Irenaeus

Bookmarked by two First Class Feasts - the Feast of the Sacred Heart yesterday and tomorrow Sts. Peter and Paul, we begin the Fifteen Saturday's Rosary Crusade leading up to the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary in October. This inspiring and fruitful endeavor was first begun several years ago by His Excellency Bishop Robert McKenna, O.P., on the feast of the holy Apostles Saints Peter and Paul since our prayer is to preserve the Petrine Primacy which has been usurped since October 9, 1958. Much more has been usurped since then as is laid out in this crusade that is so crucial to the salvation of souls. We have available to us the most powerful weapon Heaven could afford us, one that all can use and yet so few use it. That's like sending an army to the front lines with high-powered rifles and other artillery, but not loading the ammo. Doesn't make sense. Neither does holstering our Rosaries when we could be firing intercessory bullets to Heaven to save souls. If we don't do it, who will? We may feel like Peter and want to flee our responsibility, or like Paul who had to be knocked from his horse before he saw the light. What will it take for this hard-hearted generation? It's time to rouse the troops and lock and load. Thus today we begin this annual Crusade with the intention of a profound humility, unlike the false humility a certain proponent of Liberation Theology exhibits while he further destroys whatever semblance of Catholicity is left. Today's Double of the First Class Feast has a Common Octave with two stations, the one at St. Peter's, the other at St. Paul's. On June 29 A.D. 67, St. Peter was crucified, head downward, by order of Nero, on a hill overlooking the Vatican. On the same day, St. Paul was beheaded outside one of the gates of Rome. The Romans celebrated this feast with splendor equal to, if not surpassing, that of Easter. There are two stations, the one at St. Peter's, the other at St. Paul's, but in both Masses the Collects are common to the two apostles indissolubly united in a single prayer. It is just because of this ancient feeling which is common not only to the Romans, but to all the Fathers, that the two Founders of the Roman Church can never be divided. Tradition has preserved the memory of the places in which St. Peter and St. Paul dwelt. It is certain the chair of St. Peter and the chains of St. Paul were carefully guarded. The ...More

There is a commemoration today of the Third Sunday after Pentecost which always includes commemorations of the Sunday within the Octave of the Sacred Heart as well as within the Octave of the Feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist. The liturgy celebrates today the mercy of God towards us, poor sinners. (Collect, Postcommunion) Jesus has come not to call the just but sinners, and the Holy Ghost comes to establish the reign of God in our sinful, unclean hearts. The Sanctifier continues in our hearts the action of Christ, coming to establish the reign of God in sinful souls. He therefore proclaims by the mouth of Peter, the Head of the Church, our weakness before the devil, who, like roaring lion, seeks to devour us (Epistle). The human race has fallen ...More

Bishop Daniel Dolan brings us a short sermon from six years ago, courtesy of Traditional Catholic Sermons, on Sts. Peter and Paul, focusing on how these two giant saints of the Church are known for their penitence, of course, St. Peter, Christ's first appointed Vicar on earth denied Him three times, and St. Paul was converted, turning from persecuting Christians to becoming the great Apostle to the Gentiles. The Bishop notes that because we are in this time of the Great Apostasy, the Holy Father Peter's true successor - is taken away from us for a while as God so allows heretics to occupy the throne setting up a false church, but with the ordination of every true priest we are presented with sons that will carry on the true Faith and, in God's time, the Church will be resurrected. We take this opportunity to ask everyone to pray for priests, for they are satan's number one target just as in the earliest times of the Church the devil assailed Sts. Peter and Paul

John Gregory provides the commentary for the Third Sunday after Pentecost which is always the Sunday within the Octave of the Sacred Heart. Father George Leo Haydock became famous for compiling the Fathers' and Doctors' discernment and incorporating it into the Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament. For this Sunday we encounter one of the most oft quoted passages of Sacred Scripture, the eighth verse of chapter five of the first epistle of St. Peter whereby Christ's chosen first Pope employs the imagery of the devil being like a roaring lion always on the prowl to devour souls. That is why it ties in so well with today's Gospel of the rejoicing of one sinner returning to the fold. With satan roaming it truly is a victory worth celebrating when a soul is saved from this savage unearthly beast. Redemption

Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we are able to bring you a sixteen-minute sermon given last year on the Third Sunday after Pentecost by Father Michael Oswalt, assistant pastor at Mount St. Michael's in Spokane. He reminds us of how powerful our enemy devil is and why we must be vigilant and sober, steadfast in the faith because we are vulnerable to him if think we can fight him by ourselves. We need God's grace and mercy, and thus cannot afford to be lax or the devil will penetrate our castles and our fortress will be demolished through mortal sin. God, in His mercy gives us so many chances and loves the sinner but hates the sin. So should we or we will be devoured as St. Peter warns in his epistle. Father shows how God extends His protection through the confessional and how all of Heaven rejoices over the return of a sinner. If we do not take advantage of this infirmary of Divine Mercy, we will not have enough ammo to fend off the roaring lion away and will be devoured. Finally, Father concludes that we need to submit to His will and honor Him and work on our salvation with fear and trembling since it is our urgent duty out of love for our Creator as Father explains in his sermon on Be Steadfast In The Faith

Over the centuries for two millennium, factions outside and inside the Church have tried to bring her down, to devastate and destroy the one institution created by God on earth. At every turn, despite the carnage of souls in its aftermath such as the Arian crisis, the Protestant Rebellion, the French Revolution and the greatest revolution in the history of the Church: Vatican II, the Church has not buckled, but has only rebounded and grown stronger. While many wonder if that is possible this time in the face of what the Modernist apostates have done over the past 50 years, we must trust in Jesus and realize He will not allow His Mystical Bride to die for She is spotless, created from the Sacred Heart, nourished and saved by His Most Precious Blood and the Water of Salvation that flowed from His side on Calvary. Christ's love is unconditional, neverending and proof that the Church, The Spotless Bride of Christ is Indefectible .

As we complete the month of June, there is a commemoration on this feast of St. Peter and one each within the Octave of Sts. Peter and Paul and within the Octave of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist. From Saint Paul himself we know that he was born at Tarsus in Cilicia (Acts 21:39), of a father who was a Roman citizen (Acts 22:26-28; cf. 16:37), of a family in which piety was hereditary (2 Timothy 1:3) and which was much attached to Pharisaic traditions and observances (Philippians 3:5-6). St. Jerome relates, on what ground is not known, that his parents were natives of Gischala, a small town of Galilee and that they brought him to Tarsus when Gischala was captured by the Romans ...More

In the overall metaphor of the edifice of the Church, the walls are made of the sturdy dogmas and doctrines, fashioned from the concrete base of Divine Revelation. Canon Laws, Papal decrees and the teachings of the Fathers of the Church create the buttresses for the roof. Yet, the architectural plans of the Church, so to speak, are structured from the blueprint of the Creed - The Apostles' Creed - which contains the twelve Articles of Faith. What was applicable and necessary for the first Council of Jerusalem in the first century holds true today and tomorrow. It cannot change with the ages or adapt to the times; rather, it must always be the other way around. Man must always adapt and adhere to God's Laws and the guidelines He has set down for man's salvation via A Creed We Must Live By

Bishop Daniel Dolan brings us a short sermon from six years ago, courtesy of Traditional Catholic Sermons, on Saint Paul, and the traditions the Church has followed in honoring this Apostle of the Gentiles who had been the enemy of Christ. The Bishop speaks of how the catechumens are taught and the safeguards against satan. Too often we are blinded like Paul and cannot see the obvious - the truths of our Faith and, like Paul we need to be knocked off our high horses so that we can realize the true purpose of our life's existence. As Paul himself said in 2 Thessalonians 2: 10, we need to recognize the lie and be on our guard constantly against the devil for the venomous serpent of hell searches out souls. But if we open our eyes to the truth we'll be able to avoid the poisonous viper. Bishop Dolan explains in his seven and a half minute sermon on Saint Paul the Apostle

As much as we hate to beg, we have no choice. If you have benefited in anyway from what we have published, we humbly ask your help to keep this publication on line. We know that so many of our readers are unable to assist at a true traditional Latin Mass because of where they live and use the daily liturgy we publish to gain the efficacious graces possible through their prayers at home. We remain the only publication in the world to provide such and are grateful to God that we can provide such nourishment for souls. If you have not donated before, isn't it only right and proper to donate now? Whatever you can afford will be greatly appreciated. Just click the button below or send a check/money order to the address below. We are a bonafide non-profit 501c(3) religious association and all donations are tax-deductible. Whatever you would have contributed toward any bloated political campaigns or thrown away in the conciliar collection plates that only goes to covering up the sins of its presbyters and false primates while destroying all semblence of Catholicism, why not earmark it for SANCTUS/DailyCatholic? After all, shouldn't we all take St. Paul's strong counsel in 2 Thessalonians 2: 14 to heart and "stand firm, and hold the traditions which you have learned"?

To fortify why the CONciLIAR church is the false church, see key Papal Decrees that preceded it in pre-Vatican Two times by true Popes who solidly condemned the V2 false 'popes' who have spit in Heaven's Face.       We encourage you to learn more about the Traditional Latin Mass - the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in these videos at this link because each time you worthily assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in person, you gain graces that are placed in a "golden chalice", so to speak, and is offered to God to be weighed in substance when you stand before Him at your Particular Judgment. The more you have filled this chalice, the better will it go for your spiritual welfare in eternity, enhanced by your cooperation with grace. Know the Mass

To assist all in striving toward holiness, click on the Confessional to your right to review your transgressions through a thorough Examination of Conscience

When One Cannot physically assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass we provide additional prayers that can be supplemented with the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and the PROPER OF THE DAY to enable you to better prepare yourself at home. Of course, this never replaces actually being there, but it is much better than attending the Novus Ordo services. Therefore we have gleaned from The Key of Heaven prayers to say at home. It is very comforting to know that the Holy Mass is offered for us even when we are not actually present. But to enjoy the benefits which it procures, we must by a SPIRITUAL COMMUNION become partakers of the altar from which we are temporarily banished. Here we provide prayers in preparation for fulfilling assistance in absentia in addition to the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and PROPER OF THE DAY. PRAYERS IN ABSENTIA

    The Fatima Prayers

My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee; and I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love Thee.
(repeat the above 3 times then bow your head in reciting the following:)

O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in unison with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

O Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!

O my Jesus, it is for love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners.
