Convert or die is also the plea traditional Catholics believe in. No, not in the same way as the infidel would by spewing hate and violence, but rather as a true Christian should always treat his fellow man by exuding love as Jesus Christ, only-begotten divine Son of the heavenly Father, instructs. We must have love for our fellow man so much that we are willing to ransom any worldly treasure or temporal pleasure to save souls. It is paramount for all to know that if one does not die in the state of sanctifying grace, that soul is dead to God for it is stained with mortal sin. Mortal means dead. Can we put it any clearer? Speaking of clear, let me quote a certain president who seems to preface every lie with the words, "Let me be perfectly clear." Well, we can guarantee what you are about to read here is no lie, but God's truth. As of today we are 43 days away from ransoming our souls to the devil if we choose unwisely for the fast-approaching presidential and congressional elections could possibly be the most crucial in the history of the United States and most of its citizens have been dumbed down to believe the lie. Yes, you've heard that phrase often on this site, for it is the stern warning of none other than the Apostle of the Gentiles St. Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2: 10 in which he alerts all through the vehicle of divine Revelation that, yes, God will allow suffering, He will allow captivity and exile, He will allow man to destroy himself if he so wills because man has a free will. That is what so many forget in their indoctrination of the absurd. They forget Paul's words in the following verse "That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity." Is this not what America has done by passing a law by a so-called "Supreme" Court that "legalizes" the killing of infants in their mothers' wombs? What should be the safest place in the world to nurture life has become a horror chamber. Why? To placate the selfish, instant gratifying generation of women who "don't want to be saddled with a baby!" By the way, those are the very words of none other than the one posing as President of the United States for the past three and three quarter years Barack Hussein Barry Soetero Obama. And that is the crux of this column. Oh, oh, you're saying, Cain is going to get political. Yes, and no! The most prolific Catholic writer alive today Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey has addressed the political side of this in accord with Catholic truth far better than this editor could ever hope to match. After all, he has a doctorate in Political Science and worked with Patrick Buchanan one of the very few pols who has not sacrificed his ideals though it cost him in his career. Tom, on the other hand went even further by refusing to play the game at all and gave up a lucrative life as a tenured teacher or as a politician rising through the ranks because he believed in principle and Catholic truth. Wow, what a novel concept! You can count on one hand those who have done this and Tom would be first on that list in not compromising with the Naturalists or Modernists one iota. On his site Christ or chaos (BTW, a perfect title if there ever was one and one he's had since he began writing back in the 20th Century) Tom has taken to task any and every one who has compromised and rightfully should he in keeping with St. Paul's charge in 2 Timothy 4: 2-5 to
Like us, Tom took the journey from being a discontented conservative in the Novus Ordo lodges to the Indult (known today as the Insult) to acknowledging the SSPX to finally realizing "resist but recognize" doesn't compute and, having the grace to connect the final dot to the syllogism that the only logical reason for the Great Apostasy foretold in Sacred Scripture and through approved private revelation had to be that the Chair of Peter was visibly empty, though the Papacy continued for Peter and his true successors still ruled through the infallible, perennial Magisterium of the Church. That has become our life's work as well, to pray for the grace for more to see and act on those graces before they are completely confused and conned. That's what the devil is counting on and that is why we continue this apostolate of SANCTUS and DailyCatholic to confound him in every way we can despite our feeble fallen human nature. And that's what Tom has dedicated his life to as well. He, along with so many other dedicated traditional writers and lay people are dry martyrs in the sense they willingly suffer persecution for their decision to follow the Truth no matter the consequences. You think it's easy to be ridiculed by former friends or lose financial support from former benefactors? No way. Jesus said "For the poor you have always with you," (St. Matthew 26: 11, St. Mark 14: 7 and St. John 12: 8). We, Tom and so many who have followed the narrow path that leads to eternal salvation are proof of that statement. Yet, none of us are looking for a handout, merely a helping hand as Christ asks the faithful to assist those toiling in His vineyard in the quest for saving souls. ![]() That brings us to the crux of this column in that the theme the Republicans are trying to hone in on is the economy while the Democrats - or as they should be called because of the platform they have adopted: Demoncrats - try to foment class warfare and feed the troughs of the promoters of abortion and sodomy. Despite the fact that the lamestream media has carried Barack's water and covered for every incompetent move he's made over the past four years, the Republican candidate Willard Mitt Romney seems to be moving too cautiously and consequently not making the gains one would expect against such a fraud who has occupied the oval office chair. An aside note, how many find it interesting that two of the most influential persons (for all the wrong reasons) are both considered by the world as legitimate leaders while in truth neither is legitimate? Clint Eastwood was onto something about the empty chair. Yes, folks, both the Chair in the Oval Office and the Chair of Peter are, in truth, vacant because both imposters have violated their sacred oaths and greatly besmirched the exalted Offices that carry so much respect and awe. Obama swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States and from day one has done everything he could to destroy it, and the other: Father Josef Ratzinger aka Benedict 16 has done everything he could to destroy Catholic truth since the day he took the sacred Oath Against Modernism that was so conveniently abolished by another disciple of the devil Giovanni Montini aka Paul 6. Why no Catholic can vote for a Democrat But back to the upcoming election. We are advised by some not to vote for Romney because he is a Mormon. But is it better to vote for a Mormon or a moron? The latter is an acronym for "Might Obama Really Okay Narcissism?" On the surface no one knows what religion Obama believes except he himself is god. We've seen numerous videos and heard several audios where he admits he is a Muslim. We've all heard of his sitting in the pews of radical 'Reverend' Wright in Chicago where corruption reigns supreme from the Mayor to the Aldermen to the Archbishop on down. Don't be fooled by someone calling themselves 'Catholic' such as a 'Fr.' Michael Pfleger who spews liberation theology from the pulpit or any Demoncrat politician who endorses their party's platform. It goes against the Supernatural and Natural Law. Ah, but bleeding hearts out there might be saying, "But the Democrats want to help the poor and widows and want to even the playing field because it's not fair the rich get richer." Well, first of all, God never said life was fair. So quit whining, Obamabots. And for all those liberal 'bishops' of the conciliar cloth who keep pushing the seamless garment made famous by the homosexual friendly late 'Cardinal' Bernardin, remember your priorities. God will. God made it abundantly clear that every person is created in His image and likeness and in that we are all created equal. But equality is not a right. Life is a right. The right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Pursuit of happiness has nothing to do with pleasing ones' self at the expense of another, v.g. a woman aborting a live fetus. If anyone could only ask the child in the womb how that's working out for him or her in the right to life! If only we could hear the silent screams. Murder is a grievous sin against the Fifth Commandment just as sodomy, adultery, pornography, pedophilia and every salacious act violates the Sixth and Ninth Commandment as well as lying through their teeth has consequences because of the Eighth Commandment. And we didn't even mention the first four Commandments nor the Seventh which is stealing. That is what the Demoncrats propose: take from the rich to redistribute it among those who were lazy and did not have their lamps lit, did not want to work by the sweat of their brow as God commanded in Genesis 3: 16-19. But those looking for the easy way rationalize: why light the wick? The government will provide everything because to many, as Mitt Romney said candidly - and for some strange reason is trying to backwalk it - they feel entitled and will not disturb that gravy train when they can get something for nothing. And then we wonder why America has lost its status and strength in the world as the Mohammedans rage and riot? The truth is America has lost its spine because its citizens didn't have the backbone to stand up to these imposters. So how do we regain that backbone? By stating clearly how a traditional Catholic should vote, nay, all Catholics should vote - yes, even those trapped in the counterfeit church of conciliarism. We refer you to solid Church teaching and Pope St. Pius X's Encyclical Singulari quadam released exactly one hundred years ago on September 24, 1912. In it he made it crystal clear without a shadow of a doubt that wherever political activity touched upon moral matters, then it was totally within the domain of the Church's guidance and that to vote for anyone or anything that went against the moral law was a grievous sin. There has been a lot of misdirection in respect to separation of Church and State which is an anomaly since there is no such thing in our Constitution or the Bill of Rights. It is one of those 'fables' St. Paul warned of and one that, unfortunately has gained legs as the years have gone on and fantasy flourishes. While we as a religious organization cannot mandate who you can vote for, I can as an editor state my personal opinion just as a priest can do the same as well as a bishop. The Church makes it abundantly clear that when it comes to voting, it is left to your conscience. However, choose unwisely and there are consequences as in grievous sin. Don't believe me? Read further please. First, I'd like to assuage fears that the IRS is going to come after us for publishing this editorial. If they do, then they would have to go after Michele Obama, Hillary Clinton, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and the rest of that ilk for they have done far more in polticizing from the pulpit and there hasn't been any threat against them. So our traditional priests and bishops need to realize they can't be scared and call a spade a spade by informing their congregants of the need to vote according to what is expected of a Catholic. That goes for those calling themselves 'Catholic' who choose to acknowledge Benedict as their 'pope' as well. They'd do well to listen to sound Catholic teaching even if that might be new to them considering how much they've been indoctrinated in Modernism and Hegelian logic. Wait, is that not an oxymoron? This editor is taking into consideration a sound work called "The Moral Obligation of Voting" which is a Dissertation by Fr. Titus Cranny, a Doctor of Theology published by the Catholic University of America Press in 1952 with an Imprimatur and made available by NovusOrdoWatch in which Fr. Cranny emphasizes that voting is an obligation. We, as citizens, are bound sub gravi and sub levi. While life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are natural rights, voting is a political right, not a natural right. However, it is an obligation of patriotism commanded by legal justice (sub levi) Since we are automatically citizens of a specific country, in this case the United States (but it would hold true for any country) we have a moral responsibility, a binding force of conscience, to vote and to vote in accordance with moral right. He reminds us that "the field of politics is wide open to the Catholic, to render service to God and to Caesar, to the Church and to the common good, to spiritual advancement and temporal progress." What we must remember is that God comes before Caesar. Fr. Cranny points out that Pope Pius XII was adamant in his Apostolic Letter AAS 40. 119:
"Everyone has to vote according to the dictates of his own conscience. Now it is evident that the voice of conscience imposes on every sincere Catholic the necessity of giving his own vote to those candidates or to those lists of candidates, which offer them truly adequate guarantees for the protection of the rights of God and of souls for the true good of individuals, of families, and of society, according to the laws of God and the Church's moral teaching." Please note he also instructed the bishops and priests that:
Can it be any clearer of our obligation to vote? Fr. Cranny reminds on page 62 of his dissertation that "In given instances, the obligation of voting may be grace, that is, binding under pain of mortal sin, when there is danger that evil forces may gain control of the government and this danger can be averted or lessened by an election. The vote obliges all citizens, both men and women; it is a trust by which they can promote good or evil; it is an obligation binding in the sight of God. The voter must follow the dictates of his conscience, but refuse his vote to any forces that would bring evil to the Church or to his country. He must give his vote so as to work effectively for the good of the people, as a loyal defender of God and of the Church." Please take note, anyone who call themselves Catholic! The Church has always taught that it is a grave sin to vote for anyone or any measure that goes against Church teaching and the moral law. Not only are we bound by conscience, but by charity, placed under the virtue of pietas which envelops both charity and justice. It is right and just to help keep one's country or community away from evil in any way one can. After all, is it not charity to want our neighbor to be saved? Again, Fr. Cranny weighs in, "When unworthy candidates are running for office, ordinarily a citizen does not have the obligation of voting for them. Indeed he would not be permitted to vote for them. Indeed he would not be permitted to vote for them if there were any reasonable way of electing a worthy man, either by organizing another party, by using the 'write-in' method, or by any other lawful means. On the other hand, it would be licit to vote for an unworthy man if the choice were only between or among unworthy candidates; and it might even be necessary to vote for such an unworthy candidate (if the voting were limited to such personalities) and even for one who would render harm to the Church, provided the election were only a choice from among unworthy men and the voting for the less unworthy would prevent the election of another more unworthy." In other words, the lesser of two evils here is the consensus as unfortunate as that may be. Yet, we must choose. However, once elected, we cannot support anything unworthy the candidate might advance. Now let's ask the question of platforms, which back in 1952 Fr. Cranny delineated on. "There may be an added obligation of voting on special issues or against persons who support them. For example, if a state attempted to put through a bill authorizing the appropriation of funds for birth prevention literature, methods, facilities, etc. then the citizen would be bound in conscience to oppose such a measure at the polls. If a candidate were known to advocate birth prevention, mercy killing, easy divorce laws, and the like* and it were known that he would use his influence to push bills or legislation on such matters, then the citizen would be bound to vote against this candidate " The bold is this editor's emphasis and the asterisk after "the like" refers to sodomy and the dead-end same-sex 'marriage' insanity. Now the Republicans are on record as opposing abortion and same-sex 'marriage' while the Demoncrats boast of promoting the same. By way of reminding you that Mitt Romney and Paul Davis Ryan, a conciliar Catholic are against abortion and sodomy friendly 'laws' while Barack Obama and Joseph Robinette Biden, a supposed conciliar Catholic, and all candidates running on the Democratic tickets are for such aberrations. Mind you, I can't tell you who to vote for, just saying you'd do well to remember the facts, folks. From the people Obama has appointed on his staff and the inordinate number of czars he's made, the one aligning link is their affinity towards a socialistic agenda, nay, Communist agenda or Marxist, all intended as social engineering to dumb down the masses who they consider useful idiots in the school of Marxist Saul Alinksy and Karl Marx himself in his Manifesto. Pope Pius XII was quick to condemn such in no uncertain terms when he decreed in an Apostolic Letter on July 1, 1949: "...surely none of the faithful in the United States, or in any other country with a relatively free government could vote for the Communists on the plea advanced by some of accepting their social and economic program while rejecting their campaign against religion and the Church."It should also be noted that in this Decree, Pius excommunicated all Catholics who collaborated in Communist organizations of any kind. It was one of the largest formal bell, book and candle exiles in the history of the Church with several million bounced from the Church. Of course, some were not aware, some repented, others ignored and waited for their chance for revenge which would come at Vatican 2. Fr. Cranny reminded all in 1952 of His Holiness' decree, "It seems especially significant that these documents should appear in these times when the forces of atheistic dictatorships, Communist blocs, and ruthless, godless men strive to gain control of republican forms of government and of those blessings that also many hold as their precious heritage." Wow, the same holds true today 60 years later. It's also interesting to note what Fr. Cranny said about the responsibilities of the bishops and priests: "The same principle stands with regard to the clergy since they are bound to exercise justice and charity towards their country as well as to give good example to the laity. Indeed by their position they are bound to a more serious obligation than the ordinary person. If a clergyman is careless or indifferent about the use of his vote, certainly the faithful will be affected. There is no reason to demand that the priest be a great civic leader, but fundamental patriotism requires that he take an active interest in his country and specifically in the matter of voting. The priest should remain free from poliitics as far as public opinions and party meetings are concerned, but he should be vitally interested in politics insofar as they affect the welfare of the Church and state." As shepherds, our clergy have a moral obligation to ensure the safety of souls and to vote for candidates or measures that violate the moral law is not such a good idea, especially when they have to stand before their Supreme Judge at their Particular Judgment and be held accountable for the souls for which they were responsible. It will not go well in that day as Christ has affirmed in the Gospels. Oh, yes, on that Mormon vs. moron argument, it is wise to hear what Fr. Cranny says: "It does not follow that every Catholic is necessarily the best man for office and that every non-Catholic is not; nor that every Catholic will promote the interests of the common good of the state and of religion and that the non-Catholic will not." Just think Nancy Pelosi or Ted Kennedy. Oh, and don't forget Biden's unCatholic stance on things. Again, just saying. The How - What if!?! I know it's a stretch, but what if the conciliar presbyters and their prelates in name really followed what the Church teaches? Wow, this election would be a slam dunk. How you ask? Allow me to share the numbers. Nationwide, according to the Asociation of Religious Data Archives, there are nearly 60 million Catholics. Compare that to 42 million Protestants which encompasses all non-Catholic 'Christian' sects as well as non-denominational ones. Yes, this includes Baptists and Evangelicals who seem to be more in line with Catholic truth than conciliar Catholics of the newchurch of Vatican 2. Now combined that is over 100 million. Now the fear is that they can't elect a Mormon. Well, what do they fear the six million members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints? Hardly a majority. Then there are a mere three million Islamists. That may not sound like much, but if you listen to the lamestream media (which I heartily suggest you do not), you'd think they were the majority whom we cannot offend because it (a) wouldn't be politically correct and (b) could get our heads cut off. The conundrum of it all is that it is mostly Jewish interests that control the media and financial industries from Hollywood to Wall Street. Go figure. All that aside, if Catholics truly followed what the Church has advised above, Obama would be history faster than you can say the blame game is over. It would be no contest. In the red state-blue state map California is solidly in the Demoncrats stall. Yet, I ask, how can this be when there are nearly ten and a one quarter million Catholics in the golden state that outnumbers all other religions by nearly seven million?! Think about it. If just half of the Catholics voted according to Catholic truth and to avoid committing a serious sin, it would still be no contest since a vast majority of evangelicals are already committed to vote against Demoncrats, both because of the economy and because evangelicals oppose abortion and sodomy. Think also the number of Latino voters in California. If their pulpits echoed with the truth and the consequences of the congregants' soul if they did not take action, they would vote in unheard of numbers - even the undocumented illegal aliens - against anyone who supported abortion and sodomy. It's a no brainer. So why are the so-called shepherds so silent throughout the land? One reason is fear. Another is sloth. Another is the economy as in their own for they fear they might offend those who fill their coffers and are guided by their fear of rejection from man while ignoring the much greater fear of rejection from God when push comes to shove. That is why we heartily encourage all to devote, beginning this Friday on the Feast of good King St. Wencelaus who converted many during his rule, 40 days and nights to prayer and fasting for God's will to be done in this upcoming election. You don't have to be on a fast of just bread and water, be wise in your choice of fasting. Tea might be a good suggestion if you get our drift. The real drift however is the possibilities of our efforts to make reparation and hold back the hand of God for we have, by both our commission and omission of sins, deserved His wrath. Are there ten just men? We believe there are and think how many more there could be if we truly make an effort. What if we could convert hearts and souls by imploring Heaven to grant the graces for the sightless souls to see the truth? What would that be worth? Is it impossible? With man alone, yes, but with God on our side, all things are possible. Therefore, is it not worth praying and fasting for forty days and forty nights? Yes, I know, that's what Lent is for. But remember this: If we do not dedicate our full attention to God right now and get down on our knees, and figuratively don sackcloth and ashes, the upcoming Lent in 2013 will really be a time of penance, chastisement and a time of regret with very little light, if any, at the end of the tunnel. We have one last change to storm Heaven with our cries and to heed the Lord's words to Solomon in 2 Paralipomenon 7: 14 (which so many, abandoning the true Catholic Bible, call Chronicles).
We have God's promise. So what are we waiting for? A miracle? Chances are we'll be waiting a long time if we ourselves don't put our nose to the grindstone and pray the holy beads. After all, Heaven has given us the most powerful weapon we could have and what better time to use it than during Mary's month of the Most Holy Rosary in October. We must lock and load. Hey, it's now or never. And never is not a comforting thought that we had the opportunity to remind our fellow man that Jesus Christ is our Sovereign King and His loving Mother Mary is, by His decree, our Immaculate Queen. As has been said before so many times, outside of a tremendous miracle from above, this can only be done through our prayers and sacrifices and this week we strongly urge all again to participate in this 40-Days of Prayer, Penance and Fasting leading to election day for the very soul of a nation is at stake. When we enter that voting booth we must remember Catholic truth or suffer the repercussions. It's your choice. Choose wisely for it all comes down to Truth or Consequences.
