This fourth edition for September completes the month of Our Sorrowful Mother as we call on St. Michael the Archangel, whose Double of the First Class Feast Dedication we celebrate this coming Saturday on the same day we observe the 14th Saturday of the 15 Saturday Rosary Crusade where, fittingly the intention is devotion of the Blessed Virgin Mary. If ever we needed the protection of Our Lady and the heavenly winged knight - he who is like God, quis ut Deus - it's this year when all hell is breaking loose. Thanks to the apostate Giovanni Montin aka Paul 6, he abolished the powerful prayer below that His Holiness Pope Leo XIII composed after given a vision from Heaven of God and St. Michael negotiating with the Archangel's equal - the fallen angel Lucifer, aka satan, devil, beelsebub - evil of the highest degree. That prayer, part of the Leonine Prayers recited after every Low Mass in traditional chapels today was taken away from conciliar Catholics and with it, the protection afforded by God's most powerful right-hand guardian. We have seen the tragic results of this over the past 50 years, of which we will chronicle in a special October edition next Monday. Please, memorize the prayer below and recite it often, along with the Blessed Virgin Mary's holy Rosary, to fend off the demons that prowl throughout the world, seeking the ruin of souls.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray, and do thou, O heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.

Speaking of St. Michael, the Annual Fatima Conference will be held once again at Mount St. Michael's in Spokane, this year from October 10-14.

Beginning Friday, September 28, we encourage all to devote to the time of 40s Days of Prayer & Fasting leading to Election Day for, as we have said so often, the very soul of a nation is at stake. We should recall the Lord's promise to Solomon in 2 Paralipomenon 7: 14:

"And My people, upon whom My Name is called, being converted, shall make supplication to Me, and seek out My face, and do penance for their most wicked ways: then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sins and will heal their land. My eyes also shall be open, and My ears attentive to the prayer of him that shall pray in this place."

"This place" today can only found where the True Presence resides and that is in our traditional Catholic tabernacles. And there only! Bishop Mark Pivarunas shares his words on this from this month's Adsum in which he points this out and remembers the holy North American Martyrs on September 26 in what we have titled Order is Our Guide to God A similar missionary, Fr. Rolf Lingen learns his fate this week on September 27. Pray for him that if, like Peter and Paul, he would be delivered behind bars that he would touch and save souls. To know more, see The plight of a traditional priest. We leave it in God's hands for the secular Federal Republic of Germany and the apostate Conciliar Church have conspired against him because, as a sedevacantist, Fr. Lingen cannot recognize the latter as Catholic. For that they could actually convict him in Germany. Who knows how soon such aberrations will become the norm in the U.S. and elsewhere in the world as the devil's New World Order seeks to take control?! Because of all this, our entire edition for October will commisserate the 50-year anniversary of the commencement of Vatican II on October 11, 1962 that spawned the Great Apostasy foretold in divine revelation to which Bishop Pivarunas refers.

A result of the Great Apostasy is the corruption of society and in 40 days America must make a choice. If we don't make the right choice we'll have no more choices left. That is key to understanding what is happening before our very eyes today with the kangaroo courts of Germany and the uprising of the Arab Spring that has fueled all kinds of subterfuge, deception, hate and murder. And why? Ah, the answers can very well be found in the video we first posted last week on our News & Information Port page and highlight in this edition on Monday, fittingly and Godincidentally on the feast of Our Lady of Ransom, for the epiphany of all this can be found in the video from a brave and knowing Austrian who is doing all he can to inform all of Christendom of the four-headed monster of Mohammedanism, Masonic manipulation, Marxism, and Modernism in Wake up, America. This dovetails with editor Michael Cain's no nonsense editorial Truth or Consequences in which he hammers home for traditional Catholics and all Catholics what the key to this upcoming vote is by reminding all of what the Church has always taught on the parameters for voting and the fact that one can never vote for anyone who promotes evil sins. The abominable sins of abortion and sodomy are just that, and the Democratic platform openly flaunts these atrocities. Guess what? Vote for a Democrat, you sin. It's as simple as that. Forget ideology or likeability, it's about the welfare of your soul, not your pocketbook. That is another reason we should commit ourselves to fast and pray before this vital election for the welfare of not only our own souls, but for the countless souls who will die without grace. The fate of so many souls are revealed in St. Bridget of Sweden's magnificent descriptive prose from Book Four, Chapter Seven as Christ as the Sun, sitting in judgment, reveals to Bridget His Own Mother's love and intercession for souls who would otherwise suffer insufferably in The Urge to Purge"

We present more inspiration from John Gregory, who not only bookends this edition by providing Haydock Commentaries for the 17th and 18th Sundays after Pentecost with God's Love Conquers All and "And Jesus seeing their thoughts..." respectively, but also brings us Part Three of his series The Hell There Is covering the 25th Chapter of St. Matthew , verses 31-40. John also gives us an inspirational meditation on the The Assumption for the 14th Mystery of the holy Rosary. We also bring you a redux of two of Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey inspirational articles, one on St. Wenceslaus and on St. Michael. Finally, on the last day of October, though superseded by the 18th Sunday after Pentecost, we commemorate the feast of St. Jerome who was the The Father of the Mother Tongue Despite the recent flux of newfound manuscripts, what the holy Doctor of the Church translated and arranged for the complete Bible is set in stone and any variation from that by any Protestant king or modern revisionists are unreliable and many times not only a travesty to the Word, but a veering away from truth into anathema.

Below you can click on each day and features in this fourth and final edition for September. We encourage you to sign up for our twitter feeds so you'll be on top of anything that breaks and keep up with news, features, events, devotions and the liturgy for each day. We also urgently ask if you can contribute anything in these tight times, we would be so appreciative for the coffers are truly bare. Think of all the untold millions being thrown into this election. If you've contributed to a campaign, can't you spare a crumb for this apostolate to convert apostates? If you are still in the category of the lukewarm, then you will pass over this plea and move on to the next thing that tickles your fancy. But if you truly want to commit, we offer you the opportunity below to put that commitment into action for the good of saving souls. Thank you and God bless you for whatever you can donate.

As much as we hate to beg, we have no choice. We're back to at least doing weekly editions but donations have been way down and do not afford us the luxury of returning to daily publishing, which is ashame since it is called the DAILY Catholic. If you have benefited in anyway from what we have published, we humbly ask your help to keep this publication on line. We know that so many of our readers are unable to assist at a true traditional Latin Mass because of where they live and use the daily liturgy we publish to gain the efficacious graces possible through their prayers at home. We remain the only publication in the world to provide such and are grateful to God that we can provide such nourishment for souls. If you have not donated before, isn't it only right and proper to donate now? Whatever you can afford will be greatly appreciated. Just click the button below or send a check/money order to the address below. We are a bonafide non-profit 501c(3) religious association and all donations are tax-deductible. Whatever you would have contributed toward a bloated political campaigns or thrown away in the conciliar collection plates that only goes to covering up the sins of its presbyters and false primates while destroying all semblence of Catholicism, why not earmark it for SANCTUS/DailyCatholic? After all, shouldn't we all take St. Paul's strong counsel in 2 Thessalonians 2: 14 to heart and "stand firm, and hold the traditions which you have learned"?

To enhance each Sunday's Epistle and Gospel we present this special feature provided by John Gregory with the Haydock Commentary found at the bottom of each page of the Douay-Rheims Bible. We publish it here in conjunction with the Epistle and Gospel for the Sunday Mass, with the cogent comprehensive Catholic Commentary penned by Father George Leo Haydock. The focus of the Commentary for the Seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost is the virtue of love. St. Paul introduces this greatest of Christian virtues to the Ephesians, the very same command Our Lord announces to all. It catches the Pharisees off guard as they try to trick Him, but we all know you cannot fool God. You'll note, from that time on they didn't question Christ again until, of course, He had been arrested and thrust into a Kangaroo court, so to speak. At all times He edified the kind of love we must extend to all, including our enemy in praying for their eternal salvation. God's Love Conquers All God's Love Conquers All

The Order of Our Lady of Ransom was founded in the Thirteenth Century by St. Peter Nolasco (Jan. 31) and St. Raymond of Pennafort (Jan. 23), aided by King James of Aragon. The object of the Order was to redeem Christians held in slavery by the Mohammedans. Pope Gregory IX instituted the feast of Our Lady of Ransom and afterwards it was extended by ...More

The video below is a must for all Christians, all Americans, all of civilization to see. It was created by a courageous Austrian who does not subscribe to political correctness and is determined to get the truth out for the climate today abhors the truth and few have the grace to say what he writes underneat the magnificent "Vexilla Regis" score. He knows what Islam preaches only too well and documents what this radical cult really teaches and why it is so dangerous to body and soul, and why we can't cower in the face of their threats nor be intimidated by the social engineering accusation of being "Islamaphobic." That's the devil's way of silencing truth. Rather, let us don the armor of God and, with the assurance of God's Prince of heavenly Host behind us, speak out for the Truth, the Way, and the Life. Onward, Christian Soldiers for Christ, our Sovereign King!
Please watch this very informational piece that does not incite to anger but to truth. We have a choice, but if we don't make the right choice, we'll have no more choices left. For more see Stand up to Evil!
On this feast of Our Lady of Ransom we ask you to express your love for your neighbor and send this to as many as you can to get the word out on exactly what we are really facing. Remind them that there is one Holy Trinity - Three Persons in one God - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and the 'Allah' of the Islam cult is not there, but rather he represents God's adversary for the true God does not teach or tolerate hate. What the true God asks is for us all to...

The liturgy of the Seventeenth Sunday After Pentecost reminds us of the great commandment of charity towards God and our neighbor. "The precept is twofold," declares St. Augustine, "but charity is one." We love God above all and our neighbor for His sake. The unity of our faith, like the unity of the Persons of the Most Holy Trinity is the message of the Epistle and the Gospel imposes on us the duty of being united in the bonds of ...More

Following up on last month's first part "Heroes or Zeroes", editor Michael Cain provides all the proof necessary to realize one cannot in good conscience ever vote for a candidate or platform that violates the moral law and is not for the common good. We know that abortion and sodomy are both sins that cry to Heaven for vengeance and thus grievously violate the moral law. Ergo, we cannot vote for anyone promoting such sins. Since the Democrats have made it fully known that they support a platform that promotes such sins, then to vote for any Democrat would be a mortal sin. It's a cut and dried case if we follow Catholic truth. However, if you choose to follow the lamestream media and even Fox News for your news, you'll be totally hoodwinked and even more confused. That is why the best use of one's time leading up to the elections is to spend it in prayer and fasting in a concerted effort to convert hearts and pray that more will be given the grace to truly see the truth without the spin. Truly, with apologies to Bill O'Reilly, Catholic Truth is where you'll find the real "No-Spin Zone" as Cain provides with part two Truth or Consequences

The eight North American Martyrs (1642-1649) were six priests and two lay brothers. They were heroic members of the Society of Jesus who were martyred in North America to bring the Faith that is necessary for salvation to the Huron, the Iroquois and the Mohawk Indians. Five of the eight North American martyrs were put to death in what is now Canada, and three of them in New York State. There is a shrine to the United States' martyrs at...More

Bishop Mark Pivarunas, CMRI weighs in with his words from the September 2012 issue of Adsum, the monthly publication from the rector of Mater Dei Seminary in Omaha in which His Excellency remembers the great sacrifices the early missionaries to our land suffered, including the holy Jesuits honored today as the North American Martyrs who gave everything in order to spread the true Faith and save souls. Today, though almost eclipsed by the apostate Conciliar Church, we are not left in the lurch for not only are their dedicated true priests to bring the sacraments to the faithful, but more future priests being molded so that they can perpetuate the holy faith and live by all previously true Popes taught in respect to the truths and traditions of holy Mother Church. His Excellency points out particular encyclicals and papal decrees that clearly identify Vatican II as a heretical council and not Catholic, and against the rule and order God wills. Rather, V2 ushered in what St. Paul foretold in 2 Thessalonians 2: the Great Apostasy. He explains in Order is Our Guide to God

Saints Cosmas and Damian, twin brothers, distinguished themselves as physicians. They gave their lives for the Faith at Cyrus in Syria where they were buried. Besides using their skill for the healing of diseases they sought to spread the Faith in Christ. After many tortures they died about the year 285 in the persecution under Diocletian. The fame of their miracles spread over the whole world; many churches were erected in their honor at Rome and ...More

John Gregory produces his third part of his four-part series on Hell. This time he focuses on verses 31 through 40 of the Gospel of St. Matthew, Chapter 25 where we see that one thing is certain and that is we will all die someday. When? That is for God to determine in His time, but no finite man lives forever on this earth. Another thing we know for sure is that Christ will come again and when He does, He will sit upon the "Seat of Majesty" a throne like no other and there, He will pass judgment on both the just and the unjust and will separate them into two groups - the sheep, those in the state of grace on His right, and the goats, those with mortal sin on their soul to His left for they are dead to Him. No one will be immune for it shall be all nations as Our Lord affirms. This then shall be the Final Judgment. Those who have passed on will already have had their Particular Judgments and will know their fate. Yet that moment in time - when all finite time will soon cease - will be like no other. Are we prepared to be judged by the Eternal Judge? The Angelic Doctor puts it bluntly that it will not go well for those who hoofed it through life without heeding God's saving grace and ignoring what He asks: to love Him and see Him in our fellow man. The Hell There Is Part Three

Saint Wenceslaus, duke of Bohemia, ruled that country during its period of conversion to Christianity. His devotion to the Holy Eucharist Is mentioned by St. Alphonsus in his book, 'Visits to the Blessed Sacrament'. Wenceslaus was in the habit of sowing and reaping with his own hands the wheat from which the hosts were were to be made, and he used to rise in the night even during the coldest seasons to visit the Blessed Sacrament. His virtue was the cause of his death, for it aroused the antagonism of his evil-minded mother and brother, who ...More

"Men Must Cease Offending God; He is Already Too Much Offended"

This is the theme of this year's Annual Fatima Conference to be held from Wednesday through Sunday, October 10-14 at Mount St. Michael's in Spokane where autumn is spectacular. For speakers, registration and more information, see the CMRI Flyer.

IF..., yes, if you do not heed what the Catholic Church has always taught in respect to condoning sin. And that is what you will be doing - committing a mortal sin - if you vote for anyone who runs on a platform that openly promotes sins that cry to Heaven for vengeance. To curtail this not only are we making it known as far and wide as possible, but encouraging the 40-Days of Prayer and Fasting for there are exactly 40 days until we will know if America chose wisely or allowed one final nail in our country's coffin. The best way to stay the hand of God and to return America to the protection of our Sovereign King Jesus Christ is to pray and fast for God always keeps His promises if we are willing to make sacrifices and do all we can to fulfill His holy Will. We have the greatest weapon available to man: the Heaven-sent holy Rosary and, as we near the end of the 15 Saturday Rosary Crusade, we should continue with a daily Rosary and, depending on your state in life, endeavor to pray all 15 decades daily that, like St. Pius V called upon the people to pray for victory, we can keep the Turks at bay and defeat those who foster Islamist and Marxist ideals. It's now or never. You have your Rosaries. Now lock and load!

In Book Four, Chapter Seven of her work, St. Bridget of Sweden relates a wonderful and remarkable vision about a soul who is to be judged and about the devil's accusations and the glorious Virgin's intervention. The explanation of this vision denotes Heaven as a palace, Christ as the Sun, the Virgin as a woman, the devil as an Ethiopian, and the angel as a noble knight. It mentions two irremediable places of punishment and a third, a remediable one, as well as many other wonderful things, suffrages in particular. She writes with a descriptive prose that you feel and shudder from and should prompt us all to devote more prayers for the poor souls in Purgatory in realizing how much they depend on us. Are we going to let them down? Let's take this opportunity during the next 40 days to pay it forward and we'll have a better opportunity of moving forward toward Heaven when God calls us to judgment and more souls shall be saved from The Urge to Purge

This is the original feast of the leader of the Heavenly armies, Saint Michael. The captain of the heavenly armies, the angel named in the Canon of the Mass, held from early times the first place in the Liturgy among the other angels; wherefore many churches dedicated to St. Michael in the Middle Ages were simply known as churches "of the holy angel." St. Michael, whose name signifies "who is like unto God" cast the evil spirit out ofHeaven, and overcame Satan in the struggle for possession of the body of Moses. God has entrusted our defense, in the combat with the devil, to the angels. The reason of this is easily understood. The devil is a spirit who has lost none of the powers inherent to ...More

John Gregory presents a reflection on the Fourth Glorious Mystery as he shares the wonder of the Assumption. From the time of the Blessed Mother was lifted up into Heaven at her Assumption it was a dogma of the Church and yet never fully proclaimed as such until His Holiness Pius XII decreed it in his encyclical Munificentissimus Deus on November 1, 1950 which is the compendium of meditation on the Fourth Glorious Mystery. The Fourth Glorious Mystery: Assumption

We urge you to click the Rosary banner below for the Fourteenth Saturday in the 15-week Rosary Crusade organized by Bishop Robert McKenna, O.P. to do our part for the salvation of souls by bringing souls to the true Catholic Faith and Sacraments, for the welfare of our country, and for our own special intentions as we all strive for holiness in our role as members of the Church Militant. On this Fourteenth Saturday of the Fifteen Week Rosary Crusade, we focus on devotion of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Christ is our Savior, and the priests of the Church are made rich in Him. The Church is blessed abundantly in and through Our Lord Jesus Christ. The story of the deliverance of the Jewish people from Assyrian bondage by Judith (whose name is the feminine of Juda) by fasting, is a type of the freeing of God's people by Jesus, of the race of Juda, ...More

Commememoration of Saint Jerome who was born in Dalmatia in 329. Even during his life he was renowned as a Doctor and interpreter of Holy Scripture. He defended Catholic teaching against many heresies; his chief aim was to be a perfect monk and before he would consent to be raised to the priesthood he exacted a promise from ...More

For the Eighteenth Sunday after Pentecost Father Haydock provides one of the keys to revealing Christ's divinity in knowing hearts and working miracles. Few miracles conveyed as much resentment from the Pharisees as His baiting their blackened souls for He knew their hearts and, in His healing the man because of the faith of those who had brought him forward, Jesus was manifesting that He, as the Son of God, had the power to forgive sins, a power He bestowed on the Apostles of the only Church He established in "And Jesus seeing their thoughts..."

The final day of the month, following immediately the Double of the First Class Feast of the Dedication of St. Michael the Archangel, is the feast of the holy Doctor of the Church St. Jerome. Though this year it is superseded by the 17th Sunday after Pentecost. St. Jerome was born into a wealthy family and used those riches to receive the finest education at the hands of the world's greatest professors in Rome and then employed that wealth of knowledge for Christ's holy Church. He amassed all of the Scriptures and, through the grace of the Holy Ghost was able to translate the inspired word into the Latin tongue, all wrapped up in the magnificent Latin Vulgate. For this massive work that he accomplished while continuing to carry out his vocation and mission of shepherding souls into Heaven, he has often been called Father of the Mother Tongue

Again we are publishing weekly editions during this month dedicated to Our Sorrowful Mother Mary and while we may not be publishing a daily issue, you can stay in touch each day with the DailyCatholic on Twitter as we'll keep you up to date with recent articles, opinions, links, inspiration, etc. and anything that breaks as we begin the countdown toward the end of 2012.
