Last month in my feature The Rosary to the Rescue I shared some examples and quotes from holy saints on the power of the Rosary and how the Vatican II church has strived to downplay the Rosary's signficance. How has that worked for the culprits of Modernism? Not well at all. That is why what is so necessary today is a revolution - not one with guns, bombs and knives, but rather with the simple weapon of the Rosary. By using this ammunition not a drop of blood should be shed in striving to win the war on sin. However, as is the history of those faithful who refuse to compromise, it could very well produce much bloodshed in the cause of conversion. But is that not worth the price of eternal salvation? Ask the countless martyrs of the Church; something so rare today because the Church of Rome no longer stands as the beacon of faith, hope and charity.
However, in an era when we have grown soft and lazy, prayer is considered a waste of time when we could be doing so many humanistic endeavors that leave God out of the equation. It's all about the brotherhood of man and we know the revolting results that has produced, don't we? Think about it. Do you realize the faith continues to drastically deteriorate because of Vatican II and because most Catholics have forgotten the importance of the Rosary. Today Europe is a shell of what she once was in all aspects. The culprit: Vatican II. Consider: Ireland, once the conduit of countless priests to evangelize America are now dropping off faster than you can say "aggiornamento". France, once the jewel in the eye of Our Lord, now has church attendance of only about 2% of its population, Italy only about 6%. Many Catholics in the United States are leaving the Church for other religions or not attending at all. Dioceses are closing churches all over the United States. Well over one billion dollars has been paid for victims of pedophilia committed by homosexual "priests", and the worse part, most of these "priests" have been allowed to remain in their "spiritual" capacity by the highest Church authority. New stories of Vatican II corruption emerge almost every day. So many Vatican II clergy are entangled in controversy that it's hard to keep up with it all. Its almost as if there’s a drought of morality. These days almost everything Catholic is cursed. That's what the heresy of Vatican II has done.
So how do we right the ship? First of all, return to the state of sanctifying grace. This isn't possible in the newChurch of Vatican II because all "priests" ordained after 1968 are merely ministers and not consecrated priests. Therefore, they are not able to confect the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist at Holy Mass. And, if they would happen to be older and ordained before 1968, their "Mass" would still not be valid because said rite has been gutted of any grace and authenticity.
What every Catholic needs to do is to search out a true priest. I know, I know, they are rare - almost an endangered species today - but if you seek, they will be there. You just need to be patient and willing to travel. It's all about sacrifice to assist at the Holy Sacrifice. However, once you contact them, there is a little matter of preparing for receiving Holy Communion and that's not possible without confession to receive the Sacrament of Penance. Yes, it's still called that, not 'Reconciliation' for that is a Modernist term that takes away the emphasis on what we need to do to have our sins absolved. We must not only be truly sorry, but we must make amends in whatever way the confessor deems proper and that is by doing penance. And we must realize that following heretics is a sin.
Keep in mind that each confession should be made as carefully as if it were to be the last confession you’ll ever make. Realize also that confession is considered the infirmary of Divine Mercy where one goes to heal the soul, throwing ourselves on the mercy of God in turning to Christ as the Divine Physician. After you examine your conscience, it is well to say an Act of Contrition before entering the confessional as well as a quick prayer to the Holy Ghost to inspire you to remember all your sins. He is, after all, the Sanctifier.
I mentioned earlier the tragic numbers in France and Italy, and few in modern times are more familiar to the faithful than Padre Pio for his holiness and honesty. I have no doubt that someday he will most definitely be legitimately declared a saint since the antipopes/antichrists of Vatican II have no authority to canonize. Nevertheless, we cannot take anything away from the sanctity this mystic priest exhibited in his life.
Imagine yourself making your last confession to Padre Pio. As you are probably aware, Padre Pio was a priest who bore the five wounds of Jesus Christ on his body for more than fifty years. He was also a seer; mind reader; prophet, miracle-worker, confessor; mystic; ascetic and missionary on a worldwide scale. He demanded that each confession be a true confession, and why not, a confession is of no value unless it is. So many people wanted Padre Pio to hear their confession that there was often a two or three week wait before their turn.
Now, had we had the good fortune to have our confession heard by Padre Pio (its estimated he heard about five million confessions), here's what we might have experienced based upon what others have told. One woman who came on a long trip to see Padre Pio said to him in confession, "Padre Pio, four years ago I lost my husband and I haven't gone to church since then."
Padre Pio replied: "Because you lost your husband, you also lost God? Go away! Go away!" as he quickly closed the door to the confessional. Shortly after, she recovered her faith, attributing it to the way he treated her - probably acknowledging how she put her attachment to her husband above God.
Many of Padre Pio's penitents made the astounding statement that, when in his confessional, they would experience the awesome impression of being before the judgment seat of God. If the penitent was not honest, or just read through a list of sins without firm resolution to change, he would growl "get out." One man who was thrown out of the confessional stated: "What kind of blackguardly monk is that? He did not give me time to say a word, but straightway called me an old pig and told me to get out! I can't think why," said the man, "unless its because I happen to be living with a woman who is not my wife."
Padre Pio also threw certain priests and bishops out of his confessional! He once told a priest: "If you knew what a fearful thing it is to sit in tribunal of confessional! We are administering the Blood of Christ. We must be careful that we do not fling it about by being too easy-going or negligent."
Padre Pio spoke to a recently widowed woman; her husband had left her and their two children to live with another woman. Suddenly cancer had taken his life. He consented to receive the last sacraments before his death, after many pressing appeals.
The woman asked: "Where is his soul, Padre?"
Padre Pio answered, "Your husband's soul is condemned forever. When receiving the last Sacraments, he concealed many sins. He had neither repentance nor a good resolution. He was also a sinner against God's mercy, because he said he always wanted to have a share of the good things in life and then have time to be converted to God."
Padre Pio commented on the amount of confessions he heard, and how he was able to do it: "There have been periods when I heard confessions without interruption for eighteen hours consecutively. I don't have a moment to myself. But God helps me effectively in my ministry. I feel the strength to renounce everything, so long as souls return to Jesus and love Jesus."
There are documented cases of Padre Pio bi-locating, even having experiences of tri-location as well as his being seen elevated in the air or his relationship with the Angels and the tortures the demons put him through. He suffered greatly especially while saying the Holy Mass for he may well have experienced Christ's wounds all the more intensely during the propitiatory Sacrifice. By the way, he used only the Traditional Missal for Holy Mass and never said Paul VI's abominable Novus Ordo. I might add he also had a special reverence for the power of the Rosary. As an example taken from the book Padre Pio available from Tan Books, consider the following.
A few days before he died, he said to the friars in his room, "Give me my weapon!" The friars surprised and curious asked him: "Where's the weapon, we cannot see anything."
Padre Pio replied: It's in my habit"
The friars replied: "Padre, there's no weapon in your habit - we can find only your Rosary."
Padre Pio firmly responded: "And is this not a weapon? - the true weapon?"
Indeed, the Rosary is the most powerful weapon we have at our disposal at all times. Forget the Second Amendment and gun control. Arm yourself with the Rosary and you'll pass through any checkpoint or security scan. Pray it often and you'll find you'll never run out of ammunition. Ironically, instead of killing, you'll be saving lives.
Can there exist a cure that will solve financial woes, marital difficulties, health problem...or any problem? Sound too good to be true? Well, here's how St. John Matha, another French saint, had his problem solved.
800 hundred years ago Christians were being captured by Moslems and sold into salvery by the thousands, and nobody knew what to do about it. Then in the year 1198, St. John of Matha founded the Trinitarians, went into the slave markets, bought the Christians and set them free. Now to carry out his plan, he needed large amounts of money. What did he do to raise this money? He placed his fund raising efforts under the patronage of the Blessed Virgin Mary. His plan was so successful that, over the centuries, the Trinitarians were able to free thousands and thousands of Christian slaves.
Again, just another example of the power of Our Lady and why the Rosary is such a potent weapon. So I ask, can your problems - which hopefully are not as severe as the slavery problems St. John of Matha faced - be solved by the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of La Salette? Unquestionably - YES. Our Lady comes to the aid of ALL who call upon Her in PRAYER. In the words of St. Maximillian Kolbe: "Prayer is powerful beyond limits when we turn to the Immaculata who is queen even of God's Heart."
If then you are in need of a solution to a problem - ANY PROBLEM - invoke the aid of Our Lady of La Salette. You will surely experience Her powerful help. The compassionate Heart of Our Lady, the source of unfailing help has a remedy for every affliction and misery you may encounter in life. She comes to ALL who call upon Her with true devotion. Repeat...true devotion. It never fails! More importantly, She will lead you to salvation. "If you persevere till death in true devotion to Mary, your salvation is certain." St. Alphonsus Maria Liguori. Can you find a greater guarantee than that?
Now how do you apply true devotion to Mary? It's very simple - pick up your weapon and begin firing Aves or Hail Mary's as you recite the Rosary, daily. "If you say the Rosary faithfully until death, I do assure you that, in spite of the gravity of your sins 'you shall receive a never-fading crown of glory.' Even if you are on the brink of damnation, even if you have one foot in hell, even if you have sold your soul to the devil as sorcerers do who practice black magic, and even if you are a heretic as obstinate as a devil, sooner or later you will be converted and will amend your life and will save your soul, if - and mark well what I say - if you say the Rosary devoutly every day until death for the purpose of knowing the truth and obtaining contrition and pardon for your sins." St. Louis De Montfort from The Secret of the Rosary
It’s been said by certain Protestants that Catholics pray more to the Virgin Mary than they do to Her Son Jesus. Well, the following should give those having such thoughts a better insight into true devotion...
While Blessed Alan de la Roche was holding up the Sacred Host it spoke to him saying: "How can you crucify Me again so soon?
"What did You say, Lord?" asked Blessed Alan, horrified.
"You crucified Me once more before by your sins," answered Jesus "and I would willingly be crucified again rather than have My Father offended by the sins you used to commit. You are crucifying Me again now because you have all the learning and understanding that you need to preach My Mother's Rosary, and you are not doing so. If you only did this you could teach many souls that right path that leads them away from sin - but you are not doing so, you yourself are guilty of the sins they commit." This terrible reproach made Blessed Alan solemnly resolve to preach the Rosary unceasingly. Remind you of what Padre Pio said above?
Our Lady too, spoke to him one day to inspire him to preach the Holy Rosary more and more: "You were a great sinner in your youth," she said, "but I obtained the grace of your conversion from my Son. Had such a thing been possible I would have liked to have gone through all kinds of suffering to save you because converted sinners are a glory to me. And I would have done this also to make you worthy of preaching my Rosary far and wide."
Those poor Protestants that think disdainfully about prayer to Our Lady, need to heed these above lessons, convert to God's one True Church, The Holy Roman Catholic Church, and daily say the Holy Rosary.
If you have not made a daily practice to say the Rosary, there is no time like the present to make that present to God for He so appreciates devotion to His Immaculate Mother and this is the perfect month to begin during August, dedicated to Mary's Immaculate Heart.
I close by reminding you to flee the Novus Ordo "Mass" as fast as you can and, while searching out a true Traditional Latin Mass, do the next best thing: Pray the Rosary daily. Wear the Brown Scapular. And pray, as Our Lord would surely want, for the conversion of those Vatican II clergy that are not in His True Church.
