When this occurred at 3:40 p.m. PDT this editor was working on last week's edition. BAM! Everything went out! We, like the other six million, at first thought it was a breaker and only effected our home. Soon with several neighbors gathering in the tree-lined courtyard, we realized it was not just us. Already prepared with water and supplies for three days to a week, we pulled out the kit that includes a short-wave crank radio with extra batteries just in case. Since we were almost 24 hours without electricity, we fared fine even though we did have to throw away some food in the refrigerator because of the scare that if six hours the power is out or if in doubt, throw it out. The freezer was fine and we have very little in our refrigerator anyway so it wasn't all that bad. To stay in touch with what was happening, we tuned into the emergency broadcasting network, which was KOGO 600 A.M. here and heard a familiar voice Cliff Albert who has been a trusted newsman in San Diego for over four decades. While he had no answers thanks to the lack of response from our local electric company San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), several began to assume things. Considering all of the hype of warnings around 9/11 in which the social engineers are trying to mindrake the populace, the natural fear was that this was an attack. Cyndi said it best, that "it was either stupidity or sabotage." It wasn't until late that night that we discovered it was, indeed, "stupidity" for one moron worker in Yuma hit the wrong switch and, voila! Lights out! Perhaps it was stupid to be relieved that it wasn't sabotage, but truth is we were relieved to hear it was human error and not human furor. While this was all happening or while we were praying, it dawned on us that the term "stupidity or sabotage" are so closely linked for sabotage can only occur if those being sabotaged are stupid in their vigilance and it is the climate of stupidity that spawns those who seek to sabotage. We have seen it throughout history as the linchpin of the causes and effects of wars and revolutions. The lead-up to 9/11 allowed the sabotage of radical infidel Muslims because of the stupidity of Americans to believe they were safe in the home of the free. Since 9/11 the stupidity of Americans has allowed the government of the United States to sabotage its own citizens through the misnomer agency "Homeland Security" which is no more secure for the home than the fox guarding the henhouse. Even ten years later Americans have become so complacent that they continue to be led by the nose by the lamestream media who get their marching orders from Marxist atheist money interests, raising hardly any resistance to the elimination of God in our lexicon. Is that stupid or not? Are Americans really that stupid? Sadly, oh, yes! We cry murder that those extremists, rooted in living by the bloody scimitar since the seventh century, murdered 3,000 people on September 11, 2001 without realizing under cover of law that number doesn't even add up to the number of souls murdered in the womb every day: 4,000 since the fatal, fated death wish of America: Roe vs. Wade in 1973. No amount of legislation has stemmed the bloody brutality of fetuses where a child should be in the safest possible place he or she could be: a mother's womb. But the mothers of the past two generations have been saboteurs of their own flesh and blood through their own stubborn stupidity and lust for living in the now with no regard for the consequences of the hereafter. How is this any different than the Aztecs sacrificing their own to the gods. We know how that was stopped in the sixteenth century, but the Mother of God might not be able to do it again now in the twenty-first century because of America's collective apathy towards the Truth. And it is that lack of wanting to know the Truth that is at the heart of America's and, yes, the world's malaise. What we as a civilization have allowed over the past fifty years is the sabotage of the truth and how did it ever arrive at such a despondent low? Ah, therein we see the sabotage because of our own stupidity. In St. Paul, Minnesota there is a professor of Law Joseph Olson from Hamline University , which was a rival of the College of St. Thomas where this editor matriculated for a year after receiving an Associated Arts Degree from Our Lady of Ozarks College in 1963 before eventually finishing up at the University of Minnesota. Anyway, Ole, as anyone named Olson are always referred by, presented an interesting theory that proves out in fact throughout history. He contended that "The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:
Let us quickly analyze that. We've seen this with the Babylonian Empire, the Greek Empire, the Roman Empire, the Ottoman Empire and the British Empire to name a few. Don't look now, folks, but it's America's turn because if we don't learn from history we're bound to repeat it...and that's exactly what we're doing because we didn't build upon the rock as Christ attests is the only way one can exist eternally. As we all know the United States was formed from the bondage of King George in England, he of the lineage of the apostate Tudor monarchy beginning with Henry VIII, who established his own religion because he would not abide by the tenets of the Catholic Church. Such scurrilous severence practiced so impudently by Martin Luther and Henry would not be as devastating as the severence that occurred in the 1960's when Truth was put on the shelf so that man could dictate in order to placate man. But more on that next week. The founding fathers went against all the Fathers of the Church had directed and set down by grouping the Church in with all the false religions and calling it one big collective Christian-Judeo identity. Thus the principles of neglecting the tenets of the only Church the Son of God established on this earth fated the United States ultimate fortune from the beginning. The canard of "separation of Church and State" is merely a cover to deny the one true Church. This casualty has also contributed to the total fabrication conjured up by those who want Christ out of the equation. Yes, the devil is clever, but after all, he is the chief saboteur, aka satan. We cannot deny that after much struggle, the congress finally united in great courage to establish these United States and from that courage liberty was one in the secular sense. Over the next 150 years great courage was employed in conquering new horizons in habitating the entire land thanks to the early explorers and settlers. While much of the east was entrenched with Protestants from the English invasion, if you will, the midwest and west had its roots in the courageous missionaries who were willing to be martyred for the Faith. Such courage has vanished in today's landscape. From the abundance won by hardwork, heroes emerged in the industrial age that forged America into a world power for good. No other empire conquered more and left things better than when they had first touched foot on said soil. Germany and Japan can attest to that. But with the "greatest generation" - those who lived and fought World War II a certain complacency set in as abundance became the great American dream. Parents sought to provide their children with things they never had, they sought to prevent their offspring from making the same mistakes they had made out of a misguided love spurred on by the sudden emergence of a medusa media that wrapped its serpentine tentacles into every facet of the family and way of life. Indeed, save for the cloisters, there was no safe zone away from the maddening rush of information and entertainment as the radio begot television which begot the internet which begot facebook, twitter and YouTube and values went even further south when we didn't think it could go any lower. Yes, the saboteurs had their mediums and their demographic was mankind, beginning with the youth. In partnership with the devil were the public schools soon to be joined by bribery and legislation by so-called 'Catholic' parochial schools who somehow thought they could serve two masters. With all the abundance came a dependency on things that a spoiled generation or two felt they were entitled to. How else can you explain the election of a committed Communist Marxist in Barack Hussein Obama? By the way, we said he was such before he was elected, but few listened...or did they listen, but corruption had already been firmly planted in the system?
While this may have sounded bizarre twenty years ago or so, today it is a stark reality we see being played out by angry insurrection throughout the world. Like dominos, Europe is falling because of the complacency and impotency of their authority. Add to this equation the parts of the Muslim muscle that thrive on extremism bedding down for expediency sake with Marxists to fight a common enemy: the Western way of life and you have the making of chaos. As if this isn't enough, the Marxists have enlisted the Unions to do their dirty work. Like the Masons, it is not the little guy who is the enemy but those who rule and dictate where funds and activities are to be directed. Thuggery it is called and the more violent, the more they think they will intimidate. It has already begun and we're only seeing the tip of the iceberg. Stupidity or Sabotage? How about both!?! And why is this happening now in our history and not before? Ah, perhaps we can look to divine revelation for the answer as we celebrate this week the great evangelist Saint Matthew. Consider his gospel account in which he quotes our Lord and Savior saying in St. Matthew 6: 24, "No man can serve two masters for he will hate the one and love the other, or he will sustain the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." Sound familiar? It's from Sunday's Gospel and it is something we should all keep in mind if we want to survive this chaos. Oh, we will not escape unscathed physically or psychologically from what is coming, but we can escape spiritually and be assured of a sure exit strategy of salvation if we heed what Jesus and His one true Church have always taught. Yet, it is up to us to wise up and fast if we are to overcome the stupidity that comes with man's fallen human nature in order to prevent the saboteurs from gaining the gates and tossing us to the moats as Our Lady refers to in her words to St. Bridget of Sweden in this week's chapters as we resume this series. Words to live by and pray on. We can only wise up and stop the saboteurs by first depending on God and praying as if all is contingent on that, and working as if all depends on us. Only by giving 100% can we expect the 101% that adds up in measuring our love for God. We can see how this equation is unbeatable in Basic Math 101 In part two we will address the same application in the Church in analyzing what percentage of the insurrection of Vatican II was stupidity or sabotage.
