   A Heartfelt Letter from a Concerned Catholic Mom |
The following is an excerpt from a concerned Catholic mother who realizes her mission in life is to do all in her power to get her offspring to Heaven. No greater love does a mother have than to give her life for her children and most mothers do, but too often the world trumps the maternal wisdom learned at a mother's knee, those times when children learned to pray, to turn to Jesus and His Immaculate Mother and to learn their Baltimore catechism, to understand the concept of First and Last Things, so that they could pass on the holy Faith to their children. Today, that progression is, if you will, a lost art, for satan has so oversaturated minds and hearts, that to adhere to the solid principles taught in their youth is today a conflict with their daily life if they have succumbed to the world, the flesh and the devil. Thanks to Vatican II and the failure of the Church to be the guardian of souls, too many children have and therein the following letter, taken as an excerpt from Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey's excellent perspective on how the world has made the Super Bowl the Mecca of modernism and worship at its altar, should not only be a tremendous wake-up call, but also serve as a blueprint for every parent to utilize in doing all in their power to win their children back from the abyss.
Each of us have much to make reparation for, myself included most especially. So many sins. So much wasted time. So much uncritical immersion in--and silence about--so many things that we did not have to indulge in the slightest. And while a specific article on Lent will be posted at some point soon, it is useful now to come to a recognition that withdrawing from things that might have been legitimate pleasures in times--but have become enticements to sin and whose place in national life has been exaggerated beyond all reasonable proportions--is just one of the ways that we can show God we love Him as He has revealed Himself through His true Church more than we love our attachments to the things of this passing world.
Consider this plea made by a then fifty-two year-old mother to her grown children about the necessity of fleeing from the world:
My dear ones --Flesh of my flesh and bone of my bones! How I long for your holiness!
You were raised in what we thought was the Catholic Church! Subjectively, we were Catholic, but objectively we were in the church of the Beast! It's not the True Church, this church which accepts every belief of everyone as acceptable to God. Thank God He showed us, after our YEARS OF SUFFERING THROUGH THE LIES WHICH WE TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO YOU WERE LIES!! One has only to read the Old Testament to discover how God detests false worship! He calls it ADULTERY.
The constant teaching of the Church is that She is the Sole Ark of Salvation. To believe otherwise is to consign yourselves to hell. Face it, darlings! God doesn't accept excuses, as you know. His Mercy is for the living ONLY -- after death His Mercy is replaced with His Justice. Do not allow yourselves to be fooled by those who pretend to have knowledge, NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU MAY LOVE THEM, for, as God tells us in Matthew 13:22: "For there will rise up false Christs and false prophets: and they shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce (if it were possible) even the elect." !!
God does NOT sit on a mountain and allow people to find their "own" path to Him. No, He gave us a Way, the One, True Church. If you believe the lie which everyone else believes, you are being fooled and will not be saved. You cannot be saved without believing the Truth, which is why the Church has always condemned heretics -- they are worse than murderers, because a murderer can only kill your body, while a heretical belief will kill your soul.
Read! Pray! Fast! Acquire, through the Grace of the REAL Sacraments, humility.
Babylon is Rome, Children. The city of seven hills. 1 Peter 5:13. The church that is in Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you. And so doth my son, Mark. (Babylon was the CODE NAME for Rome -- no one could know where Peter was because it was dangerous for him -- he might have been killed).
Apocolypse 14:8. And another angel followed, saying: That great Babylon is fallen, is fallen; which made all nations to drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. And the great city was divided into three parts: and the cities of the Gentiles fell. And great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the indignation of his wrath. And on her forehead a name was written: A mystery: Babylon the great, the mother of the fornications and the abominations of the earth. And he cried out with a strong voice, saying: Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen: and is become the habitation of devils and the hold of every unclean spirit and the hold of every unclean and hateful bird: Standing afar off for fear of her torments, saying: Alas! alas! that great city, Babylon, that mighty city: for in one hour is thy judgment come. And a mighty angel took up a stone, as it were a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying: With such violence as this, shall Babylon, that great city, be thrown down and shall be found no more at all. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying: Go out from her, my people; that you be not partakers of her sins and that you receive not of her plagues.
Take courage, my children. In your veins flows blood of STRENGTH AND COURAGE. Give up the world, its immodesty, its glitter, comforts and vanity, before it's too late! BE NOT DECEIVED! You have only once chance!!
Teach your children to pray, to love TRUTH above all -- to renounce the world. Read the lives of the saints and pray, pray, pray, that you may arise from your lethargy of self-satisfaction!!
Practice Lent -- you have the instructions in "The Liturgical Year" -- it's a great treasure and I urge you to read it! You can find the observances in the calendars that we gave you for Christmas w/regard to the Church's rules on FASTING and abstinence.
If you do not "take the bull by the horns" you WILL BE LOST. And your last day could be TODAY, God forbid!
We pray ardently for your return to a true love of the Faith every day. And LOVE requires a COMPLETE DEVOTION TO ACTION. It's NOT an emotion!
Do you care? You used to!
Even you, my darlings who attend the Real Mass ~ you realize that that is not enough, of course! You must stop offending the Sweet and Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary!! They are offended so very, very much already, by the world ~ think of the millions and millions of souls who don’t know and don’t care. And then there’s you; you, who have been given the grace, through no merit of your own, to know where the Remnant of the Church lies! Praise Him for that! Thank Him! Honor Him by becoming on fire for The Trinity of Hearts, +Jesus+, Mary and Joseph! Stop being lukewarm ~ it makes Christ, Our Lord, vomit you from His Mouth! Instead, PRAY for the grace to Love Him well and then, for GOD’S SAKES, COOPERATE WITH THE GRACE!! Stop, stop sinning! Stop offending God. With the grace of God even YOU can do it.
Can you imagine Heaven without all of us together? (How’d you like to permanently miss one of Grampa Bill’s gatherings??)
And what about the “other” place, hell. Meditate on it this Lent. Darkness, but not as we know darkness. Darkness that is the pure absence of light. That also means absence of heat that warms, replaced with the never-consuming and all-encompassing heat of hatred, which is both physical as well as emotional. Imagine being in a place where everyone hates you!! Forever! Not only that, but you hate everyone, too!
I could go on ~ if you would like me to, I could write another letter expounding on the pains and reality of hell. Just request it and I’ll have it done that very day (God willing).
You have much to atone for, much. Expect to receive pain and suffering from your children -- I foresee them leaving the Faith completely and causing you and us much pain because of it because of your unfaithfulness to God in your lives. Your current beliefs and behavior is our punishment, for our sins, I am sure. Yours will be worse, because you knew better than we did, and did worse!
You married ones ~ stop flirting with the Faith and produce holy families! PRAY TOGETHER! Study the Faith!! Get serious! Believe me, you already will have much to suffer, but if you don’t get serious NOW and put the brakes on your love for the world, (as much as you think it’s not love for the world, it is!), your suffering will be unbearable. Mine is almost that now, yet look at the efforts we made.
Yes, this is "dour" -- and I realize you like only happy things. Who doesn't? But if you think about it, you will know that I am right.
The minions of hell and helpers of satan will try to get you to ignore this warning, but here it is.
I love you, and suffer daily for you with weeping and supplications.
What can we do with our time? How about praying more Rosaries? How about praying our Way of the Cross on a daily basis during Lent? How about getting, most importantly, to a true offering of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in the Catholic catacombs where no concessions are made to conciliarism or to its false shepherds? Why not read more books about the lives of the saints? Why not take our families to shrines of Our Lady to pray her Most Holy Rosary in the Sundays of Lent? Why not put First Things first in light of Last Things each and every moment of our lives?
