DIADEMS OF THE DECADE (112008mc.htm) Editor Michael Cain's Catholic PewPOINT as featured on The DailyCatholic, a Traditional Catholic publication dedicated to perpetuating the One True Faith and preserving the Traditional Latin Mass in this time of the Great Apostasy by upholding the sedevacantist syllogism in order to Save All Necessary Catholic Traditions in the United States (SANCTUS) and preserve the Truths and Traditions of the Church founded by Jesus Christ upon the Rock of Peter.

Diadems of the Decade from the Annual Autumn Hiatus Issue in November 2008, vol 19, no. 310

We have met the enemy and he is us

America has reached it's final crossroad. Where this country goes from here is either by falling on our knees in repentance and reparation, donning sackcloth and ashes as God's chosen people did in Old Testament times, or suffer the consequences of this sinful generation that has gone far, far further than even Sodom and Gomorrah had for that was at least confined to city limits, if you will, whereas what has happened in the United States has permeated every home. We have a choice. But what do you do when even those choices hold no answers? You look to the Answer, the only Answer to all our woes and trust in Jesus for everything. If we do not, we will deserve the chastisement that will grow worse, much worse under an Obama dictatorship. The similarities of Obama to godless, ruthless revolutionaries and dictators of the past is all too real to dismiss. Yet so many mesmerized citizens are following this pied-piper right towards the abyss, smiling all the way. Oh, when will they wake up? When it's too late? When will they realize there is only One Who can lead us out of this "Valley of Death"?

What better day to announce our choice on election day than this First Class Solemnity of Christ the King? We make this known ten days before the election for two reasons; one so that readers will have time to reflect and pray; and two, because we will be on our Annual Autumn Hiatus throughout November, not returning until the First Sunday of Advent.

There are several voter guides that have been released by various conservative organizations, most evangelical, that one might say are commendable, but by no means complete nor can we endorse.

That being said, on the various propositions, you don't need a voter's guide to realize you must do all you can to pass any measure that would preserve the Sanctity of Life and the Sacredness of Marriage exclusively between a man and a woman, and defeat any measure on the ballot that would cause erosion of what God has deigned for all time or would promote sin in any fashion be it perverted or economic. This is especially true in California, Connecticut, Arizona and Florida. In the heated and bitter campaign waged against Proposition 8 in California, the sodomite agenda has employed the entire Demoncrat Party as well as Hollywood to defeat the amendment in the California Constitution, reinforced in 2002 by a majority of voters, that marriage can only be between a man and a woman as God so ordained. But Sodom and Gomorrah (read San Francisco and Los Angeles)are so far to the left of God's will that if Proposition 8 fails in the Golden State it will affect every state.

It is the cause of the powerful and dangerous, but vastly overestimated sodomite collective, that homosexual marriage (note, I refuse to use the verbal engineered term "gay" for there is nothing "gay" about perversion of God's Natural Law and the disgusting, nauseous methods those, who have labeled themselves "queer", use). But this is merely a fallout of radical judges dismissing the will of the people and forging their own laws, something that is the norm in both the California Supreme Court and the notorious Ninth District of Appeals Court in San Francisco. We cannot urge strongly enough a YES Vote for Proposition 8 in California and wherever else propositions are on the ballot that will curb sin of any kind.

And that is what every voter needs to consider. Are they empowering sin at the ballot box? Many don't really know and too many go into the voting booth still undecided, ill informed. That is why there are a plethora of voter's guides everywhere. However, several times one has to consider the author or publisher's purpose. Often there are hidden reasons why and Lord knows the money spent on political campaigning could well put a dent in the National Debt. But back to voter guides regarding presidential candidates. None come close to the "voter's guide" Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey provided this past week with his essay Lost in the Trees Without A King to Lead Them . It is the only complete "voter's guide" that we can heartily recommend and what every Traditional Catholic must seriously consider.

If we are truly sincere about our Faith, if we are truly concerned for the salvation of our own soul and that of our families and neighbors, if we are truly convinced that the most important issues are the Four Last Things - Death, Judgment, Heaven and Hell, then all else will fall in place and the Sanctity of Life will be paramount in our minds, the uncompromising stance that all life is sacred from conception in the womb all the way through life to the tomb when we return to the dust from which we came. If we truly trust in Jesus, then we will not be concerned what others think of us, but only what God thinks.

Practically speaking, America is in a true catch-22. What so few realize is that America has already become a Marxist state for it has been so thoroughly and insidiously indoctrinated with the godless manifesto that has permeated every home. It has done so through the mindraking methods of selling of the soul. This has been so thoroughly and deftly accomplished by the vehicles of destruction. No, not bombs, not guns, but a far more potent deadly weapon: technology! Whether it be the internet, television, radio, music, films, billboards, print, cell phones, everyday conversations and, yes, even in church.

Many Traditional Catholics are aware of this and have taken every precaution to protect themselves and their children from these fatal fallacies that flood society today. But those who have come later to the truth of what has happened to our beloved Church, the Mystical Bride of Christ - and there are many, ourselves included - have a lot of baggage to sort through, to exorcise and to try to make good for whatever time God allows us in this vale of tears to make reparation for whatever mistakes we have made. This editor was one of the biggest offenders for ten years in misleading souls into believing, albeit never intentionally, that the conciliar "popes" were true and that it was bad bishops who were the problem, liberal, progressive, radical - whatever you want to call the infiltrators - who stirred the caldron of non serviam. For that we have endeavored to make reparation through prayer, penance and committing ourselves to publishing the unadulterated, infrangible Truths and Traditions of holy Mother Church.

We know from history that practically every Catholic grew complacent over the years, most totally ignorant to the fact that the majority of presidents of the United States were blatantly anti-Catholic, including most of the founding fathers. I'm sure Catholics back then were sincere as well, but not vigilant. Had they been, they would have stood up and said 'No!' to the persecution of Catholics and culture. They would have objected to the senseless slaughters in Spain and Mexico. They would have heard and responded to martyred priest Father Miguel Pro's dying cry, "Viva Cristo Rey!" Perhaps our own involvement in the European and Pacific theaters dulled our consciences from hearing this plea, this truth that so few are willing to shout today: "Long Live Christ the King!"

However, during the reign of the socialist Franklin Delano Roosevelt America fell into a coma. For some reason, Catholics became overly confident in the passage of Saint Matthew 16: 19 in which our Lord and Savior assures us that "the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" without remembering what happened during the Arian heresy, the great Western Schism, the Protestant Revolution, etc. They would have countered Christ's words by reasserting the truth of His words, and reminding those who veered from the definition of what "it" was that they could no longer rely on such protection for they were no longer part of that Church He founded upon the Rock of Peter.

As I write this it is all so clear in retrospect, even if the great multitude including many who claim they are traditional, stubbornly remain in a state of denial. As mentioned, we were in that same camp, though more from our own failure to believe such a thing could ever happen to holy Mother Church. It was impossible we said. Oh, we were wrong.

It is only through the grace of God and the availability of documents on the internet in the last five to ten years that have made it possible to provide more proof of what we speak now.

Why didn't we see that when "good papa" John XXIII abandoned his Solemn Papal Oath to kowtow to the world with his aggiornamento agenda? One reason, few knew anything about the Oath, but God did. Another reason that provides no excuses today is that we were young and liberal in our ways, rebellious in our youth, having grown so comfortable under His Holiness Pope Pius XII that we had taken for granted daily Mass in grade school and in the seminary. We didn't realize the veracity of Harry S. Truman that "the buck stops at the top!" Something, not only every political, ecclesial and commerce leader over the last fifty years has conveniently ignored, but also has been dismissed by even several semi-traditional Catholics who stubbornly place the blame on all the underlings.

Back in the fifties there was a reason we wore "I like Ike" buttons even if we weren't old enough to vote. Our parents were and the knowledge that Adlai Ewing Stevenson was divorced swung the pendulum to the Republican side for practically every practicing Catholic. General Dwight David Eisenhower won in a landslide. Oh, how far we have plummeted from those mores of yesteryear when we, at least, held candidates responsible for their moral character.

This week we commemorate, what Bishop Donald Sanborn has called the 50th "Anniversity" of the Conclave that was compromised, and thus ushered in "the most terrible chastisement that befell the Church: the usurpation of the Holy See by a modernist." He writes briefly on why this happened: "Sin, and our obduracy in refusing to liste or to understand the admonitions of Holy Writ, the Saints, and the apparitions of Our Lady (at Fatima, La Salette, etc.) and Our Lord (to Sr. Marie de St. Pierre, Sr. Josefa Melendez, etc.) and our tepidity in the observance of our holy religion. The result was a growing laxity that allowed the errors of modernism and naturalism to spread rapidly. The World Wars are the most salient proof of what happens when nations attempt to live as if God and His only true revealed religion did not exist."

In high school and college, even my professors, priests all and dedicated ones at that, didn't see the revolution coming. Perhaps because they too were among the lukewarm His Excellency refers to above for, in truth, we were all lukewarm. Sadly in recalling those early days of the sixties, I remember several of those men in Roman collarsm whom I had looked up to, left the priesthood. Such was the confusion of those days, the "autonomy of conformity" that unleashed much, much more. We never heard of the 1962 Pact of Metz, knew not the details of how Angelo Roncalli had replicated Judas' actions in betraying the Body of Christ by selling out to the Communists for thirty pieces of silver in the form of assurance by the Soviet-run Russian Orthodox Church not to oppose the Second Vatican Council, and agree to send a few representatives to it. The heresy of ecumenism had indeed raised its ugly head and few were aware. Ignorance is definitely not bliss.

Why didn't we see that when a man named Giovanni Montini from Milan assumed the throne of Peter? The death of the supposedly jolly man from Venice on June 3, 1963 had cast a pall over the world. It had been a time when Catholics enjoyed notoriety, if you will, with both 'Johns' being among the most popular - John XXIII and John Fitzgerald Kennedy. It was the Catholic vote that swung it for JFK and the Kennedy machine to this day continues its devastation and anti-Catholic machinations.

The euphoria that began in 1963 was gone by November 22 when JFK, whom we unashamedly then boasted of and can see most ashamedly now how we only encouraged the corrosion of the Catholic City, would also die, albeit tragically on November 22 the same year in Dallas, Texas.

We were told Camelot was dead. Oh, but no one told us the evil wizards and warlocks were alive and working their witchcraft in Rome and Washington D.C. as well as several other centers of commerce, convicts, convents and conventions. Converse opinions became the norm as the new man went further than his predecessor both in St. Peter's and the White House, waging war; one on souls, the other in Vietnam. Little did we know the two governments - Vatican II and the Kennedy administration were working clandestinely against the Diem regime in Saigon. On All Souls' Day 1963 Ngo-dinh-Diem, the blood brother of the esteemed Archbishop Pierre Martin Ngo-dinh-Thuc, consecrated at the request of His Holiness Pope Pius XI in 1938, was mercilessly gunned down by CIA operatives with Paul VI having full knowledge, condoning the political assassination with his silence.

It plunged America into a bitter, divisive war that has left a scar still visible and ugly. Richard Milhouse Nixon had become the media's punching bag, evidence then of how bias the fourth estate could be and Gerald Rudolph Ford, Jr., as forgiving as he was, was no match for the grovelers and slackers, who had overrun America's collective conscience. As tumultuous as it was in the United States, there was a far greater wound inflicted and that was to the soul and psyche of Catholics everywhere. It had far greater ramifications from the revolution begun at the same time and carried out with far, far more devastating consequences than all the casualties of every war combined in the history of the world. We know it now by its war-like connotation: VII. WI and WII paled in comparison.

VII contributed greatly to the confusion and rebellion of the sixties that seeped into the seventies, expanded in the eighties, and in the nineties niching in quite comfortably thanks to a Soviet spy who became a bishop, "cardinal" and then "pope." Yes, we are talking about Karol Wojtyla, the great deceiver. Oh, were we bamboozled. None more than yours truly who was so dazzled by his claim of being "Mary's Pope" that I had placed him on a pedestal, all the time making excuse after excuse for his behavior by saying "he doesn't know how bad his bishops are" even though he appointed and condoned their actions, including the very man whom he promoted - one Fr. Joseph Ratzinger through the ranks, the very same who was instrumental in the Great Apostasy as a peritus at Vatican II. Yes, it bears repeating.

Oh, we were so mesmerized by the charlatans in Rome and our nation's capitol. JPII was praised by the world in 1989 as supposedly the chief architect of bringing down the Iron Curtain. Yeah, right, look around today! That curtain came down because it was no longer necessary, it had already canvassed most of the world, thanks in large part to Wojtyla's own complicity. I dare say the naturalist Ronald Reagan was more sincere, even innocent in his efforts than the counterspy employed by the Communists. Of course, after James Earl Carter, anyone was better.

Back to Wojtyla, he was free to roam wherever he went under Communist Occupation in Poland while the Primate of Poland Stefan Cardinal Wyszynski was basically under house arrest. Go figure. Denial of Wojtyla's role becomes even more difficult to believe when we realize all the traitors in purple who have now been exposed as favoring Red as in the blood of the hammer and sickle rather than working unceasingly for the Blood of Christ. Is it any wonder the modern Vatican is so strenuously trying to conceal Wojtyla's intrinsic connection to Moscow. Why that would blow his "subito" canonization, or conanization as the Father Moderators call conciliar elevations for they are all cons.

And now we have a man who was weaned on Marxism in Rome, a died-in-the-wool Hegelian heretic in the person of Benedict XVI. This is tragic enough, and it has been devastating because so many souls have been lost. One reason being that so few want to see through the veneer of this "traditional 'pope.'" That's how Ratzinger is portrayed by the radical ultraleft lamestream media. If he really is traditional then I'm Barack Hussein Obama's long lost doctor who can verify this Kenyan-born Indonesian Moslem was born in the United States and can verify he was baptized a 'Christian'!

No, folks, I am not being facetious, but factual and fearful. Fearful that it is inevitable that perhaps, by God's permitting will, we may soon have a Marxist in the White House. Yes I am referring to Obama, a dangerous one of the same cloth as Vladimir Lenin, Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Pol Pot, well you get the picture of the great messiah the Demoncrats have offered as the answer to everything.

It is a fact that when one is young one feels impregnable, more liberal and daring. Maturity and responsibility have a way of molding the conservative within. That is why the puppet masters in Russia, Germany, Iran and elsewhere go after the youth as early as they can to do their dirty work, to carry out their atheist agendas. So also in America it is the youth who have been targeted, programmed and mind-controlled to fall in flank with change for change's sake falling for the false mantra of "Hope." The last man in the White House from Hope contributed greatly to the moral malaise of this country, even with William Jefferson Clinton's sly, charismatic, yet phony persona that condoned amorality, if not immorality. Of course, little can be said for the CIA-manipulated Bush regimes - both George Herbert and George Walker who both promised pro-life but have yet to deliver. Words are cheap and that is something we should all remember as the economy collapses around us.

But what is that? Money. Yeah, we need it for our temporal needs, but remember, we can't take it with us. And therein is the rub. Everyone is so preoccupied with the economic crisis that we have forgotten the main issue of this presidential campaign: the Sanctity of Life. Oh, the devil is clever. He has been on the ground floor of this collapse with a purpose. While so many well-intentioned folks want to make morality a main issue, they are distracted from the essentials for salvation by the seemingly salvific promises of peace by those who have no clue what true peace means. And yes, that includes Ratzinger, who caters to heathens to seek such.

Can you see satan's handiwork in handing the election to Obama by distracting all with the global economic crisis? Can you see how the drive-by media are in the driver's seat, steering everything in his direction while steering away from anything critical of evil? Can you see where a good man, but also a naturalist and a compromiser on pro-life in John Sidney McCain, has been vilified for things he has no control over? Can you see where his exemplary patriotism is downplayed? Can you see how this Purple Heart P.O.W.'s handicap of fluid movement, suffered at the hands of his ruthless Viet Cong captors, is mocked by those who never served a day in the United States Armed Forces?

Can you see how Obama's associations over the last thirty plus years would have sent him to the front of devout Catholic Joseph Raymond McCarthy's list for blackballing Communists? Back then there would have been no argument even though the fifth columnists already within the fourth estate unfairly vilified McCarthy. Fifty years later we can see he was right. Just as we can now see so clearly how Pope Leo XIII was right, as were Popes Saint Pius X, Benedict XV and Pius XI in their assessment of everything from a truly Catholic perspective. They all warned us, as did Saint Paul and our Lord Himself. But we didn't listen. Pogo was right, "we've met the enemy, and he is us!"

Can you see the conundrum of how Obama, who totally lacks experience by his own prior admission and most likely will panic under pressure according to his own running mate Senator Joseph Robinette Biden and his Democratic adversary in the primaries Hillary Rodham Clinton, is considered the answer to everything according to the lying liberals? Can you see how he has now been endorsed as an ideal Commander in Chief by none other than Colin Powell who has thrown those he worked for and his own country under the bus because of his own petty resentment and revenge? Can you see where journalistic ethics have been thrown to the winds, reporters' minds so raped by the hypnotic trance that they'll say anything, do anything, including lie through their teeth to perpetuate the perpetrators? Can you see how they will go to any length to malign all who disagree with them, using the demonic term "hate speech" to deny free speech unless it harmonizes with their view, usually, if not always sinful in foundation. It is a perspective from the edge of the abyss.

Both parties have given us so-called baptized Catholics as vice-presidential candidates. One, you know as Senator Biden, who brags about his Catholicity but has long ago abandoned the true Faith by his own words and actions while trying to rationalize it is right. It is not. It cannot be. The other, Governor Sarah Louise Heath Palin was also baptized a Catholic. Oh, you didn't know? But she, like millions, possibly billions over the years, were victims of that revolution I spoke of above. Without a solid religious foundation built on the Rock to be supported both at home and in the parish, the edifice of the soul quickly gives way to the structure of society. Mrs. Palin, her private life magnified from being plunged into the presidential race, is but a microcosm of the fallout. Can she be blamed? That depends on what she knows. We can only pray that expressing her love for Christ, she will realize He is not fully present in the various Protestant churches she attends, nor anywhere else except in the True Roman Catholic Church where He is present Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity. Of course, as we have documented so many times on this site, that is not possible in any of those conciliar lodges that call themselves Catholic today, which would include every diocesan-run parish. Alas, sadly but realistically, He resides only where a true priest can validly confect the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist and only in the Traditional Latin Mass. Want to count how many locations there are today for that reality? Check our Traditional Latin Mass Sites

It is a commonly held opinion that without Mrs. Palin's addition, McCain would be lagging even further behind in the polls for without her spunky down-home practicality and relating with a great majority of middle America, McCain is really just another Bob Dole who was no match for the slick Clinton campaign. And we thought things were bad then! In reality, considering his age, many are casting their vote more as a Palin ticket. That would be interesting and intriguing, enough to even consider casting a vote for the McCain-Palin ticket. However, in examining the twenty-five points below there is so much lacking and, after all, talk is cheap though there's nothing cheap about what is being spent in this year's vitriolic campaigns where the woman has been attacked for everything under the sun, most probably guilty of none. A good barometer to consider: who is launching the volley. That tells volumes. In other words, consider the source.

With the serious shortcomings of all the candidates above, who then should you vote for? Well, there are several, even among Traditional Catholics, who tout the Campaign for Liberty Party candidates Ronald Ernest Paul and his running mate Michael Anthony Peroutka. While this ticket places the Sanctity of Life as its priority, and laudably so, it still compromises Catholic principle in that regard and in several other aspects, including giving credence to Separation of Church and State and the Masonic leanings of our founding fathers. Thus, in good conscience one cannot say they are the answer either. In truth a vote for Paul is the same futile exercise of the past three presidential campaigns when a very good man, Alan Lee Keyes couldn't get the time of day from the lamestream media. So also with Ron Paul. It's interesting to note how Obama's blackness is being used to fend off all his weaknesses and inexperience and a cause to retaliate with "racist" accusations, when Keyes is just as black in skin, but doesn't dance to the liberal cacophony so out of tune with the heartland. Keyes is far more experienced than Obama in every aspect and the most pro-life candidate over the last twenty years. Then there is Chuck Baldwin and Darrel Cassel of the Constitution Party if they're still running. Who? Yeah, I've never heard of them either. Finally. Ralph Nader of the Green Party? Please.

So what then can you do as a faithful Catholic? A true Traditional Catholic marches to a different drum, so to speak, than do the vast majority seduced by the siren of the world, the flesh and the devil. As mentioned above, Dr. Droleskey, who is not only the most prolific Catholic writer in the world today, but quite possibly the most astute in knowing the political landscape and the minds and deeds of politicians when compared to what true Popes have decreed in the past, provides an excellent checklist in his recent essay Lost in the Trees Without A King to Lead Them . We have extracted his checklist which is the most complete yet and lays out exactly what issues True Catholics should consider when voting.

    Consider:

We do not organize nations around the false principles of naturalism. We do not restore "order" in nations by the false principles of naturalism. Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order.

To wit, a Catholic possessed of the sensus Catholicus would have an understanding of the following basic truths, thereby eliminating most of the "issues" that are raised in the course of elections by naturalists who want to "solve" problems caused by the overthrow of Christendom:

        1.  The civil state has an obligation to recognize the true Church and to accord her the favor and the protection of the laws.

        2.  There are limits that have been revealed positively by God and that exist in the nature of things (the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law) that bind the consciences of all men in all circumstances in all places at all times.

        3.  No one, whether acting individually or collectively with others in the institutions of civil governance, may defy the laws of God as they have been entrusted to the infallible teaching authority of the Catholic Church.

        4.  The Catholic Church possesses the Divine right to interpose herself with the civil authorities as last resort when the good of souls demands her motherly intervention following the exhausting of her Indirect Power of teaching, preaching and exhortation.

        5.  Each man on the face of the earth has a solemn obligation to submit himself to the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on all that pertains to the good of souls, accepting humbly and in a spirit of docility the Deposit of Faith that Our Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has revealed to us exclusively through the Catholic Church.

        6. Social order depends upon order within the state of the individual souls of men.

        7.  Order within the individual souls of men depend upon their having belief in, access to and cooperation with Sanctifying Grace. Thus being equipped to see the world clearly through the eyes of the true Faith and to act according to the Mind of the Divine Redeemer, Our Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as He has discharged It exclusively in the Catholic Church.

        8.  All of the problems of the world, bar none, are caused by Original Sin and the Actual Sins of men.

        9.  The only way to "reform" societies is for men to reform their souls in cooperation with Sanctifying Grace.

        10. The family is the basic unit of society and as such its members (father, mother, children) have an obligation to perform the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy for each other and to provide, as far as is humanly possible, for the spiritual and temporal care of close relatives (grandparents, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins) when they are unable to do so.

        11. The virtues are to be cultivated within the family unit as worldliness is eschewed and as parents and children live here on this earth in light of their Last End, the possession of the Beatific Vision of Father, Son and Holy Ghost in Heaven for all eternity.

        12. Each home should be enthroned to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary as each member within it is totally consecrated to Our Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through that same Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

        13. As far as is humanly possible in this era of apostasy and betrayal when the availability of true offerings of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass have been limited to a relative handful of locations, families must endeavor to assist at Holy Mass on a daily basis and to spend time as a family, at least on a weekly basis, before Our Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's Real Presence in the Most Blessed Sacrament. This is an antidote to worldliness and to naturalism.

        14. Each family must pray at least one set of mysteries of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary every day.

        15. Each family must read about the lives of the saints, preferably in conjunction with the Mass of the day.

        16. Each family must be content to live in accord with the Virtue of Modesty, dressing and speaking as befits redeemed creatures, careful to avoid any degree of participation in cultural fashions or activities contrary to the good of our souls or those of others.

        17. Parents must welcome as many children as God sees fit to send them, refusing to do anything to prevent the conception of children or to conceive children by artificial means if God has seen fit not to bestow upon them any (or with a particular number of) children.

        18. Husbands and wives must understand that a Sacramentally valid, ratified and consummated marriage is indissoluble, and that there is no problem within the family that is the equal of what one of our least Venial Sins caused Our Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to suffer during His Passion and Death and that caused those Seven Swords of Sorrow to be thrust through and through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother.

        19. Similarly, children must be taught there is no cross (rejection by friends, a failing grade in a class, ridicule, ostracism, sickness, the death of a parent or other close relative, financial setbacks) that is the equal of what our sins caused Our Lord to suffer as He redeemed us, understanding as well that each cross we are asked to bear has been fashioned for us by the very hand of God Himself for all eternity for His greater honor and glory and for our sanctification and salvation.

        20. Families, in conjunction with Our Lady's Fatima Message, must seek to make reparation for their own sins and those of the whole world, seeking to live in joy as they embrace voluntarily more and more penances to help convert sinners in this life and to come to the aid of the Poor, Suffering Souls in Purgatory.

        21. It is essential for families to get themselves to the Sacred Tribunal of Penance on a weekly basis.

        22. Families must not immerse themselves in the consumer mentality that is abroad in our land, being content with a sufficiency of the means of this world and making certain to give back unto God the first fruits of whatever material benefits He has bestowed upon them.

        23. Parents must understand that they are the principal educators of their children, cooperating with their legitimate pastors and legitimate, truly Catholic schools to help them to be educated in all things, sacred and profane, in light of the Holy Faith.

        24. Those in the civil government must understand that their first obligation is to foster those conditions within their jurisdictions that will be conducive for the sanctification and salvation of the souls of their fellow citizens, seeking to root out those things that are grievously sinful and thus pose a grave, if not fatal, threat to souls and to the commonwealth.

        25. The civil government must pursue the common temporal good in light of man's Last End, doing nothing to interfere with the sanctification and salvation of its citizens.

There has never been a time of perfection in the history of the world, not even in the era of Christendom. Human nature has been wounded by Original Sin. Social conditions will always suffer from the consequences of fallen human nature as manifested in the Actual Sins of men. Be that as it may, however, there is an essential difference between the Christendom of the Middle Ages and our present day: individual men understood that their sins were the source of the problems of the world and that the reform of their societies depended upon the reform of their own lives. They did not look to the "government" to "resolve" problems that they knew were caused by their own sins and those of others. And they understood that they would encounter personal tragedies that were their own responsibilities to address, aided by the Charity of others, starting with that of the Church herself.

Once one has considered the twenty-five points above, there can be no doubt. One cannot in good faith vote for any one currently running for president for not one upholds even one of the totally Catholic principles above. None. Therefore there can be only one choice. That choice is our King Whom we must follow. If we truly believe in Him and that He trumps all natural and supernatural, then follow through on your commitment to Him and vote for Christ.

Yes, you'll be accused, as we have been and will continue to be (for we have been writing Christ's name in for several elections now) for "wasting" our vote. It hasn't been wasted in the past and every time it has been registered where it counts the most, with Heaven. After all, isn't that what counts? How can something for God ever be "wasted"? Is it not proper to practice what you preach? That's what we believe and therefore make no apologies to writing in Christ as our Sovereign King, the only answer to our woes, our problems, our hopes. What so many fail to realize is that it is not at the ballot box where change will come, but on our knees praying. This begins with the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass said by a true priest in the Traditional Latin Mass; then the most powerful weapon we have been given: the Holy Rosary, prayed daily and often; then penance, reparation and alms-giving to those who give no concession to conciliarism. All the while we must pray for those who do not see what we can see with the "eyes of grace", to want with all our hearts for their salvation, and to work towards that end unceasingly no matter the obstacles, ridicule and persecution.

Population figures say there are roughly 60 million Catholics eligible to vote. Sadly, a great percentage will vote for Obama, proving they are no longer Catholic except in name only. Just this past Friday, while checking our mail box, I heard a couple of neighbors arguing about the presidential candidates. One is in his sixties and boldly proclaims he's a staunch life-long Democrat who marches to Party's tune no matter what. When I reminded him Obama was blatantly pro-abort, he said, "So? I'm for him because a woman has a right to choose." When I told him a Catholic in good conscience cannot vote for an unrepentant pro-abort or condone murder in the womb, he screamed, "I'm Roman Catholic and I can. Besides religion has nothing to do with it. Leave God out of this." Can you see how far the Heresy of Americanism has saturated even those of my generation? So, besides the youth, the Democrats target CWOACs (acronym for Catholics Without A Clue) pronounced more like quacks. Oh, there are a good percentage of CWOACs and most evangelicals who will vote for McCain, holding him up as the lesser of two evils, without realizing things will only remain the same except it could delay more liberal judges on the Supreme Court for awhile. But then Reagan and Bush's appointments haven't proven the case. So false hope reigns supreme.

Speaking of Reign and Supreme, imagine if those 60 million were truly Catholic, were given the grace to truly know their Faith fully. Imagine what would happen if Jesus Christ won the election. Who would sit in the Oval Office? Christ in persona? Hardly, but it would have to be a man who would uphold total Catholic truth, live the Faith fully, and be above reproach. He would have to be a man the caliber of Saint Louis IX. Is such a man available? I can think of maybe one or two who do fit those qualifications and have some experience in the political arena. However, knowing one or two as I do, they would be too humble to acknowledge such qualities in themselves, too decent to compromise their principles for the "good of the Party."

Other than those few who come to mind, would there be such a noble leader available to carry the banner of Christ the King in America for America? I truly believe there could have been many excellent God-fearing, true Catholic leaders to choose from. I say 'could have been' for to date none have come forth. That sadly is most probably because the man who could have led America to glory and a full return to God's will was probably murdered in the womb, one of over 50 million slaughtered through the legal means of murder by a godless nation. All the more reason to pray and make a statement to end the madness, not through putting our trust in finite man, but in the infinite Son of God. "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible" (St. Matthew 19: 26). We've arrived at that inevitable point in history when all must realize Jesus is our only Hope. A vote for Christ is the true Catholic antidote. Anything else is a stark realization that we have met the enemy and he is us.
