Our dear friend Dave Fuire, a parishioner at Mt. St. Michael's in Spokane and one who epitomizes Catholic action in practicing the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy at all times, notified us Sunday evening of this terrible accident Sunday morning when the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen's Brother Joseph Mary toppled over the stairway railing and fell over 12 feet to the marble floor at the Mount. We ask your heartfelt prayers for him. We have been so blessed to be considered a dear, dear friend of Brother's since 2004 and we are crushed by the news and feel so helpless that we cannot be there with Dave and others to pray and stand watch outside ICU for him. He does have his Godson Adam with him, a young man in his mid 20's who converted through the good fruits and efforts of Brother Joseph, and exhibits the kind of zeal Brother Joseph has always had. Brother has really been a living saint in our midst in these times. It is possible this could be the time for God to bring this innocent, loving religious home to his reward and we are overjoyed that he has received Extreme Unction from Fr. Mary Bernard, CMRI and know, whatever conscious condition he might be in, offers whatever suffering God has deigned for him with joyous anticipation of the graces gained for others through his reparation.

UPDATE! The latest word from Dave and another good Samaritan and our friend close to Brother for at least 40 years, Tom Gillbrough is that Brother is still bleeding internally and they're trying to thicken the blood to stop the flow as best possible. It may be that the blood thinners he was on caused him to become light-headed or have a stroke and fall. Tom wrote, "Beforehand, the doctor mentioned, besides the head injury that Brother Joseph suffered, he also broke his collar bone and five ribs on his back. The scan was to determine whether to operate on the brain or not. After the scan, the doctor saw that the brain was quite swollen and the swollen brain will continue to swell for a few days and may recede afterwards provided if Brother Joseph survives the trauma. However, the doctor had decided that he will not do an operation at this time since it would be too risky. The doctor gave Brother plasma to thickened the blood which may stop the bleeding."

Another good friend from the Mount, Tom Gallegos, who with his wife GayeLynn are truly dedicated Catholics and involved in several Guilds and true Catholic action, was the closest to Brother Joseph on the stairs but could do nothing since it happened so quickly. Having just talked with Dave, Brother is presently in a comatose state and has been given a feeding tube and incubated. Because it is too dangerous to operate on the damage to his skull, they must now play the waiting game. Dave relates, however, that as long as Brother is in that hospital, God is moving hearts and many are responding who before had been lukewarm. He has had many visitors, all touched somehow by this special religious God has blessed us all with. Adam has been passing out Rosaries and Green Scapulars to many visitors who have responded both from outside as well as workers within Sacred Heart Hospital. God indeed does write straight with crooked lines and His instrument of Brother Joseph's suffering is doing wonders that only Heaven knows. He is in the care of "Dr. Baby Jesus" as Brother Joseph so lovingly calls the divine Infant. Few in this world are as dedicated as Brother Joseph to all God has asked of him in full obedience to His holy will. We will continue to keep you abreast of his condition as we hear. May we all have the kind of zeal and dedication and innocent childlike faith that he has always exhibited to one and all. O patron of thy servant St. Joseph, pray for him. Most Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for him now and at the hour of his death. Amen. Say an extra Rosary today that through Brother's suffering, more will be brought to Christ through Blessed Mary and, if it be His will, that Brother Joseph be miraculously healed. It doesn't hurt to ask. What hurts is if we don't pray.

  • "Reichstag II Tom nails what is happening in America and the trigger for history to drastically repeat itself with another Reichstag. That trigger was conveniently (for Obama's Administration) pulled by a solo gunman on Sunday in a Protestant lodge aka 'church'. For Barack's SS troopers from Napolitano to Holder et alii this is exactly what they have been waiting for to fall into their laps and they are only too happy to use the notorious abortionist physician George "the Killer" Tiller as a martyr for their cause with the help of the pro-abortion agitators to institute intensified interrogation and persecution of pro-lifers for such crimes as stating one is praying for the conversion of abortionists. Hitler's tactics are the method Comrade Fuhrer Obama is employing in every facet of government along with his radical corporate invasions of the infrastructure industry while draining citizens through deception, false hopes and unfair taxation, not to mention runaway intimidation in an effort to create another Nazi regime with obvious signs of Marxist and Fascist tendencies to deprive America of the freedom she has long enjoyed, but abused in turning from God. Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey 6-1

  • "Wonder No More As apologists scramble to defuse Rabbi Metzger's shocking statement that he has documentation from Ratizinger that the 'Church' will no longer seek to Christianize Jews, Tom points to the evidence that cannot be denied by Ratzinger's persistent words and actions that short-circuits any effort to defray the blame from where the source lies: Benedict XVI. Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey 5-30

In light of the fact Tradition in Action ran two articles last week The 'Poor Pope Benedict' Syndrome by Dr. Marian Therese Horvat on May 26 and three days later an article by Mark Stabinksi titled The Shameful and Collaborative Silence of Traditionalists that, in print and the photos furnished, convinces readers of Ratzinger's manifest heresy and the very fact the perennial Magisterium of the Church has decreed numerous times that he has been excommunicated for his blatant apostasy before God and man, why does TIA still persist in calling him "pope"? Is it not a case of denial to continue the charade of pretending he is an authentic Vicar of Christ when all the evidence is presented that he cannot possibly be? To pose otherwise would seem to be a grave sin of omission towards the souls they are deceiving? No matter how much they resist him, by recocognizing him TIA would seem to be, in essence, complicit in the collaborative coverup of an antipope, yay, even an antichrist per St. John's description in his first Epistle, chapter II, verses 18 and 22. Monday Griff Ruby amped up the challenge with another perspective addressed specifically to Atila Guimarães that all should weigh carefully. It is a new tack that few have ever considered, but which makes perfect sense for the sensus Catholicus. As much as we would love for an open face-to-face discussion with Atila and Marian on their terms, because we welcome a response, we can't be too optimistic considering neither TIA nor anyone else have been able to provide any kind of defense of the obvious, because, well, they're boxed into that conciliar box and will continue to be checkmated until they shake the politically correct zugzwang that has falsely portrayed "sedevacantism" as something bad. We only ask them to accept what holy Mother Church has always recognized as right and proper.

Sermon by Bishop Daniel Dolan on the Surprise of Pentecost

  • Red China: Workshop for the New Ecclesiology Tom, in a lengthy documented treatise, asks: "Will the the Vatican simply wave its bureaucratic hand and pretend, positivistically, that there has "always been one church in China" and seek to "educate" the Catholics who have been suffering in the underground church that they must accommodate themselves to the "actual reality" of the situation in their country and thus silence themselves about the evils being promoted by the government?" We all know the answer to that as he mows down the underground church as tanks rolling through Red Square. Apostasy knows no limits. Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey 5-29

  • "Revising the Faith in order to be Free of Christ the King One wouldn't believe it unless they saw the proof and Tom provides the proof that Ratzinger is intentionally trying to distance himself and the conciliar church as far from Christ the King as possible by his Hegelian agenda to revise the Faith to justify his apostate demolition. Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey 5-20

  • Should Christians 'respect' other religions? Leave it to a Protestant to prove the pope is not Catholic and that Vatican II broke from the true Church with the insanity of Lumen Gentium. Memo to Mr. Mohler: despite what you hear from the modernists, true Catholics do not believe one can be saved through the Islam faith nor the Protestant faith nor any other faith but only IN, not "subsists in", the holy Roman Catholic faith founded by Christ the Lord and dogmatically established for all time that "Outside the Church there is no salvation." R. Albert Mohler, Jr. 5-19

  • "When He comes, shall He find, think you, Faith on Earth?" Tom lays out the sad, tragic facts that have played out this week in the Mideast and South Bend, assuring that it will be slim pickens when the Lord returns. Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey 5-17

  • How Notre Dame Drifted Away from the Catholic Church Schlicta of the American Thinker has some very good points, albeit he is way off base when he states that the "conservative" Joseph Ratzinger will right the ship. Say what?!! He should read Tom's article above before expressing such cockamaniac pipedreams. Paul Schlicta 5-17

  • Having No Regard for the Horror of Sin While Notre Shame's president John Jenkins washes his hands in the manner of Pontius Pilate, God knows his heart and mind. He knows very well he is not in accord with God's holy will, but rather he possesses the same mindset of those who cowered under Nazi intimidation in the 30's. Why could history repeat itself when a Catholic presbyter is arrested on a Catholic campus for PRAYING? Ah, there's the rub. It can all be traced to Vatican II and the apostasy of the counterfeit church of conciliarism which usurped the true authority of the Church, forcing the abandonment of the Church's universal duty to be vigilant and stand as the moral beacon for the world. Sin, which was once shunned and eternal punishment for it greatly feared, is now touted and encouraged. Resident Obama will speak today on the South Bend campus, demonstrations will take place - many prayerful, but others disruptive and the Pravda media will spin it as dangerous, radical pro-lifers "out of control" while ol' Barack Barrabas will act smug and smirk for the cameras, trying to justify infanticide as a mere 'choice' in illustrating so clearly how man, especially a narcissistic madman like BHO, rationalizes. But then how is he any different than the man in Rome who allows it and covers it up, while selling souls - his own to begin with - for the sake of political expediency? Pray for those so-called "intellectuals" who think they know what's right for man without giving God a glance: students, professors, presbyters, prelates, politicians and press. They need it! How did it all come to this topsy-turvy turn of events in history? Because they do not realize what a hell they have created. It all can be traced to the real culprit that has plunged the world into chaos: Vatican II! Do those who know really realize what a hell they have created here and in the hereafter? Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey 5-16

  • Stop Obama at Notre Shame which is going ballistic During a week when the head of the counterfeit church of conciliarism illustrated so clearly why it is counterfeit with his syncretic sacrilege and apostasy beneath the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, in South Bend, Indiana another dome is showing how tarnished it is: the golden dome of Notre Shame Unidiversity where pro-life forces are massing for a massive protest against culture of death barbarian Resident Barack Hussein Obama. To the left, Dr. Alan Keyes once again peacefully submits to incarceration, ordered by John Jenkins himself as pro-life demonstrators from all over the country gather to make a statement and populate the county jail, ironically called St. Joseph. Oh, the irony of how far the conciliar church has fallen. See Notre Shame Goes Ballistic Traditio 5-19

  • Words and Actions of Antichrist and Keep Focused on Root Causes Ratzinger's non-stop Apostasy is doing more than rent the Temple of Jerusalem in two. It is renting billions of duped deaf and dumb souls to be ripped from the shores of Heaven. Oh, and the One Who caused that benchmark earthquake that forever ended the Old Testament can't be too happy that Caiphas has an ally in one Joseph Ratzinger. To the world he is the 'holy father'; but to every true Catholic and more importantly, to God, he is the 'UNHOLY father' spurred on by the father of lies as a precursor to the Antichrist if he is not already the Antichrist or is that Obama? Or both! One thing is sure: Ratzinger is not Catholic, ergo he cannot be a successor of Peter. Ergo, well, connect the dots, all ye resist and recognizers. Dr. Thomas Droleskey 5-13 and 5-15

  • Ratzinger's Mideast Apology Tour to deny Christ is turning on him Peter denied Christ Three times. Ratzinger does it every day! Latest global scandal: reaffirming that Jesus was wrong and that all the saints died in vein. We might as well all be Jewish so we can wait for the Messias. Satan's puppet pope playing right into the hands of the Jews and other enemies of Christ and His True Church. The One World Order Religion is coming. Rabbi Metzger will see to that! Traditio 5-16

  • Proof the Third Secret of Fatima was to be released in 1960 Why didn't Roncalli release it? Therein is the rub that proves the fate of not doing so. Our Lady warned but the enemy was already in place for she had foretold as much three quarters of a century prior at La Salette when she warned that Rome would lose the faith and become the seat of the Antichrist. Is there any doubt today? The evidence is provided here. Dr. Marian Therese Horvat 5-13

  • Accustomed to Apostasy So dumbed down and duped have conciliar 'Catholics' become that they do not recognize blatant heresy and apostasy when it is staring them in the face in the headlines and on the news. Ratzinger is a heretic! No doubts about it. He's manifested that all so clearly with his "respect for Islam" and total disrespect and hatred of the only true Faith by which we can obtain Heaven. Flee, oh ye, who profess una cum with him. Dr. Thomas Droleskey

  • Dr. Alan Keyes Released from Jail -- And Will Bear Witness on Notre Dame Campus Again "I am going back on campus to prayerfully bear witness. • Notre Shame = new name for former University of Notre Dame Dr. Alan Keyes pinpoints the problem. St. Paul first identified it in Galatians 1: 8-10. Every person is accountable to God. Yet the campus gestapo are making it so difficult to speak the truth on campus that even Touchdown Jesus wouldn't be able to touch down on the South Bend Campus because authorities have their "marching orders" from Jenkins, who evidently takes his direction from Obama, not God. We recommend the new title: "Our Shame" in deference to protecting Our Lady's honor and proving once and for all, that Notre Dame, as with every other so-called 'Catholic' college in the country is no longer Catholic. Thank you, Vatican II! Thank you, Comrade Obama! Randall Terry's site 5-8

  • Obama Practices the Low Art of Political Seduction at Notre Dame For those watching live the Obamination that took place Sunday at Notre Shame Unidiversity, tell us you were not reminded of that famous historic Apple commercial that ran only once during the Super Bowl in 1984, but had such a tremendous impact in depicting George Orwell's "1984" when Big Brother was addressing a mesmerized, dumbed down and duped crowd (IBM clones, much like today's conciliar clones) and one person dared to interrupt by flinging a sledge hammer at the screen? The picture above replicates that so well and only a few were allowed to dissent within the chasm of the modern Roman Colosseum known as the Joyce Center. Monday morning Rush Limbaugh nailed it when he identified the problem as not Obama per se, but the Church (read conciliar) for allowing such an abomination of obamination. The transcript tells it so clearly. Rush Limbaugh 5-18

  • Baptize All Men, Teach All Nations What a novel concept posted for the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord. Of course, such a charge from the Son of God is totally lost on Ratzinger-Benedict and his conciliar ilk who do just the opposite as was only too obvious last week in his Mideast Apology Apostasy Tour. We can take comfort in the inspiration imparted in Tom's article today that the Church still lives (though no longer in Rome or, from all accounts, maybe not much longer in Econe for that matter) and that no matter the opposition or ennui to the spiritual crisis today, if we heed Christ's words and all handed down to His Apostles by the Sanctifier to protect His Church from all error, and are obedient to God's will in all things, we can be assured of seeing the Beatific Vision of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost when we are resurrected body and soul at the Last Judgment. • Considering the "resist and recognize" camp has had no comeback to our arguments because it's not possible to, Griff Ruby tries another tack to hammer home how senseless it is to defend the indefensible. How can one be effective inside something that is totally foreign to God and all He established upon the Rock of Peter? That is the question he addresses to Atila Guimarães and other like minded resisters who think they can be more effective "inside." It is not possible. For to be inside the wrong something can put one outside the right something. Thus in order to return to the inside, one must shed all that he has insisted on on the outside during the time he thought he was on the inside, but really was and continues to be outside the Church. That logic is not thinking outside the box, but rather inside the Church as laid down by the perennial Magisterium of the Church and therefore in harmony with the will of God. And that is the key point Griff lays out for those still in denial that we are in an interminable interregnum in hopes that perhaps it will prompt them to want to get out of the soul-suffocating constraints of the conciliar box as soon as they can and realize that sedevacantism is not only a "viable option" but, under the circumstances, the only option! Griff provides the logic in Thinking Inside the Church and Outside the Conciliar Box

On 'Red Easter', when we celebrated the birthday of the Church there is another church trying to horn in on our festivities. And editor Michael Cain doesn't mind relating how much he resents it for it has swallowed up a very good priest in Fr. Al Svobodny, OMI, another victim of the conciliar freezer. Oh, the conciliar church might be called 'Catholic' but it has none of the similarities of what the universal Church exhibits such as One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic. Those indelible marks, infallible attributes of the Church Christ founded upon the Rock of Peter, are absent as the Modernist Mengales strive to alter the truth, creating their own evolving monsters in the Modernist mold that consistently ignores the fact that the Author of Truth has revealed all things and there is really nothing new under the sun for the Son, Father or Holy Ghost. They can neither deceive nor be deceived. That should tell you everything about those who do deceive. We only wish there weren't such a casualty list of those who have been deceived, including our former spiritual director who is trapped in the syncretic system that has sapped so many religious orders that used to be valuable to saving souls. Sadly, that is the case no longer as hearts harden and the faith freezes over faster than hell can. Cain provides the cold, hard facts in Thank You, Vatican Two!

John Gregory has provided the Haydock Commentary for Pentecost Sunday in which Christ makes good on His Promise. He has sent His Spirit, the Paraclete, and, Deo gratias, things will never be the same again for His holy Church is officially off and running in fulfilling His command to His disciples to preach the Gospel to all. Peace He has given them to spread not as the world perceives it even today when humanism is trumpeted from the highest echelons of the conciliarists and scandal is accepted as if it's part of Catholic truth as millions of souls are deceived daily and fall deeper into the miasma that engulfs the lukewarm. We must return to what our Lord taught and what His chosen apostles preached without compromise. Peace is only possible when grace flows. Only then can the Sanctifier reach souls. When God withdraws His graces and blessings, corruption and corrosion follow and all man-made institutions will crumble because they are not of divine design. For the Haydock Commentary of WhitSunday's Epistle and Gospel, see "He will teach you all things."

As you can see, we are back up and running daily after a horrendous period when our system crashed during Lent, making our Lent most meaningful in realizing what penance really means, considering we lost most of our software programs when the mother board fried. Thanks to Griff Ruby, the files were recovered, but we are still at a disadvantage without the applicable software programs to run the files. We are slowly instituting the process of building up our software library once more. Please be patient. We also remind you that we need donations in order to do this. Could you please help us in this modest request? We have no compunction in informing you that we are running on fumes. This is our mayday alert that we desperately need your help. We have received no bailout from anyone nor do we expect such, but we do expect those who visit this site to ask themselves how they can help. We ask where are the "Good Samaritans" out there? Other than a few, and we do mean "few" loyal and regular benefactors, everyone else seems to think we can operate without donations. In the demonic despot Barack Hussein Obama's world that might work by printing up more money and taxing everyone for it, but in the real world the reality is that we dearly need everyone to pitch in and help. As Dr. Thomas Droleskey has written often on his own site, if everyone who logs on once a week sent one dollar there'd be no need to ask again. That amount - times the number of visitors per week for The DailyCatholic - would basically set us up for the year with over $25,000. just there. However, we know that won't happen considering the apathy and modernist philosophy that has seeped into society today where so many consider themselves entitled. They seem to think they can use things for free with little consideration toward those, who have not only spent many, many years in learning and intense study (not to mention costs), but also continue to labor long in time and research to provide Catholic truth and information that would, in a true republic or monarchy, be duly rewarded or reciprocated in trade in the manner that made the guilds so successful and so Catholic. Did Our Lord not say, "a laborer is worthy of his hire" in St. Luke 10: 7? What say you? Won't you help us rebound?

Griff Ruby completes his three part interlude with how Conciliar ambiguity lended itself to the confusion of the dogma Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus and, in essence, unwittingly ran interference for Feeneyism, though the latter followers would never admit as much. Griff shows how the notorious Theologian Karl Rahner, considered one of the chief architects of Vatican II, coined the term "Anonymous Christian" and therein the seeds for lumen gentium were planted, which Griff thoroughly covered in Down the Yellow Brick Road to Apostasy: The Lumen Gentium Syndrome. By making relative the true purpose and mandate of the Living Magisterium of the Church by ambiguous terms, Rahner and his cohorts could effectively undermine that perennial, infallible body and pull off the most bloody bloodless coup of all time: The Second Vatican Council and the hijacking of holy Mother Church. Yet interestingly, even in the midst of all the chaos and confusion created by this, there still has not been one bishop, legitimate traditional bishop or illegitmate conciliar bishop, who has ever subscribed to the cockeyed belief that Feeneyism promotes. Griff provides the proof of this in his third part Dead or Alive, Anonymous Apostates Are Known to God

John Gregory has provided the Haydock Commentary for the Sunday within the Octave of the Ascension and it is most appropriate considering the apostasy so prevalent in Rome. In all things Christ must be honored and defended even if it means being persecuted for believing in Him. Our Lord conveys these final words to His disciples, foretelling of a time when the Jews and unbelievers would greatly harass and even kill them. Every apostle except for St. John suffered martyrdom. When Jesus speaks of His followers "being put out of the synagogues" what do you think they'd have to say about BeneRatz' latest schmoozing and giving credence to Caiaphas and all the faithless Jews since who persist in their error? What does he do? Not only participates, thus publicly giving scandal through his persistent heresy, but proclaims that the Jews do not need to be converted. But then what's new? In fact, he's done it so much that few recognize the apostasy in their midst. We need only read what our Lord says about it in today's Gospel. Do you think Fr. Joseph Ratzinger has read that passage? Do you really think he cares? Ah, there's the rub. All hail man! Yes, Lord, we remember that You did tell us this too would come. Perhaps we never realized how bad it would be with so many duped into actually believing Ratzinger represents You. St. Paul says today "in all things God may be honored through Jesus Christ", not man. For the Haydock Commentary of Sunday's Epistle and Gospel, see "They have not known the Father, nor Me."

Editor Michael Cain challenges all in the "resist and recognize" camp to fish or cut bait. There is no other way to put it. We can no longer agree to disagree while allowing countless souls to be ever more confused. We have to account to God for our actions and inactions and by doing nothing we are contributing to the malaise so prevalent among Catholics and how the world sees the Church today. Always the Church has been at odds with the world, yet the latter always held a healthy respect for the integrity of the Church and her hierarchy. That is not the case today where She is ridiculed and held to account for herself against the "dogmas of Vatican II." Ridiculous, yes, and why it is vital that we separate the wheat from the chaff, informing the world that the conciliar church and its operatives from Benedict XVI on down are not Catholic and cannot be Catholic. Only then will souls begin to understand why and realize Vatican II was not Catholic either. Only then will the world realize the visible Church in Rome hasn't been Catholic since October 9, 1958. Only then will they join the cry to bring back the truths and traditions that sustained the mighty Rock for nearly two millennia. Only then will the world realize that the true Catholic Church answers to no one but God, Who alone She seeks to please by fulfilling His holy will. That's not happening under the regime of the current pretender in Rome. It's time for all to admit that, especially the authors of We Resist You to The Face. It's time to resist the "resist and recognize" camp to their face

Saint Bede the Venerable was one of the most astute tender of details of those elevated to the exalted status of Doctors of the Church. He was the illustrious ornament of the Anglo-Saxon Church and its first historian. Considered the Father of English History, he was the first to date events as in the "Year of Our Lord" - Anno Domini (A.D.) and would be appalled today to hear that the Modernist secularists want to do away with any reference to Christ whatsoever, all part of the anti-Catholic agenda to de-Christianize America thoroughly. That is the Masonic creed which Bede would never have stood for. This man was one of the few among saints to be termed "Venerable" and he was officially named a Doctor of the Church by Pope Leo XIII. Considered a Father of the Church, this man is one of the few among the saints who is called Venerable. He was the Benedictines' jewel this Holy Historian.

Griff Ruby continues his intermission series with part two in which he asks is the Liberalism of Vatican II rooted in BOB and BOD? This whole subject is an issue few, if any others, have broached, let alone challenged, leaving the Feeneyites to assume silence was consent. But the zealous followers of Fr. Leonard Feeney, S.J. have used the cover of Vatican II to form camps that would never have been considered in pre-Vatican II days. In fact, it was prior to such when a true Pope sat upon the Throne of Peter that holy Mother Church spoke out against denial of Baptism of Blood and Baptism of Desire. Thus came about the term of "Feeneyism." In Boston, while Fr. Feeney was making the headlines, a seminarian at Weston, Francis Sullivan, began pondering a reasoned response. Following the Modernists, he eventually found a basis in Lumen Gentium to, in effect, do away with the dogma Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus and make "armchair evangelism" (of saving practically everyone without having to make them Catholic) far easier than it ever was in Fr. Feeney’s heyday. In refuting the Vatican II sophistry, so clearly explained by Fr. Sullivan in his rejection of Catholic truth, Griff presents his second installment in his interlude between rounds with The Slippery Slope to Sophistry

In the Epistle for the Fifth Sunday after Easter, St. James reinforces in his words the fact that sincerity is vital for God knows man's heart. Though man may preen as if looking in a mirror, only the penitent man who heeds God's law and will shall not fear. In other words, as great as the Corporal Works of Mercy might be, they are hollow if the Spiritual Works of Mercy are not applied. To work out one's salvation in fear and trembling, one cannot be passive, but rather active for the good of souls as God so wills. It is a symptom, unfortunately, of the conciliar mindset that places humanistic "common good" above God's good today, and by so doing, abdicates all responsibility to rein in souls who have been led to believe their sinful actions and neglect of God's Laws have no consequences. In St. John's Gospel, he documents how Our Lord reaffirms His divinity in His discourse with His apostles in reminding them that He must return to the Father Who sent Him. But He encourages them that they shall know great joy and anything they ask of the Father in Christ's name, it will be granted. Quite a promise that has been fulfilled ever since to all who comply with all He asks. Unfortunately, few ask or obey anymore. Editor Michael Cain weighs in with his first editorial in some while. He points out that with every passing day we are heading closer to George Orwell's "1984" and "Animal Farm" and Monsignor Robert Hugh Benson's "Lord of the World" because Modernists now rule in striving to form a One World Religion where socialism has saturated the world. It is inevitable that Catholicism, as the world knows it, will be relegated to just "one of the boys" as will America in a One World Order where our country will become North America incorporating Canada and Mexico into one nifty NAFTA nest utilizing a new currency called the Amero that will equate with the Euro. Society as we know it is a thing of the past. It is playing out today in Rome, D.C., Jerusalem, and in South Bend just to name a few of the battlefields in which the enemy is gloating. We have earned this exile and punishment because of our sins, because we did not stand with Christ but gave way to the angry mob. Why? Because we did not take the time to fully know our Faith! Cain explains in his commentary Truth is stranger than fiction

Having taken twelve lengthy, comprehensive and convincing chapters to most definitely refute the grave error, nay, even heresy, of Feeneyism, Griff Ruby takes an intermission - not time off, mind you, but an interlude, if you will - to take the reader a bit behind the scenes, exploring events leading up to his making this series, and the balancing considerations that weigh against the "Sr. Sunshine's" of the world. Thus, during this lull after Easter, when Griff has reached the midway point of his mega-series "The Art of Scholastic Dishonesty," he begins the first of a three-parter in dealing with several topics in a potpourri fashion, commencing with chronicling how this series was developed and why. From its beginning in the late 1940's, the unique interpretation of "No Salvation Outside the Church" put forth by the Saint Benedict's Center in Boston has been responded to with disciplinary measures, short articles, slim volumes, and only single chapters out of larger books devoted to other topics. This left the Feeneyites to assume silence as being consent regarding all the many quotes and arguments that long went unaddressed in such abridged treatments. But this can be no longer. And thus, in time, it finally was time to set the record straight. Griff provides a chronicle of how and why he decided to engage the Feeneyites in Genesis of the Polemics Against Feeneyism

Saint Robert Bellarmine, the holy Cardinal and Doctor of the Church is the feast in which Our Lady chose to begin her historic and vital apparitions to three children at the Cova in Portugal. This Italian saint was born on the feast of the founder of the Franciscans, but trained as a Jesuit and came through with flying colors in God's eyes in upholding the ideals of the Society as its founders had established. He was an extremely sharp polemist who was not afraid to take on the most vitrolic Protestant theologians and, because this master apologist never wavered from Catholic truth, he always won out in perpetuating the Counter Reformation of Trent. His fame, humility and sense of the sensus Catholicus won back countless souls who had wavered during the Reformation. But his wisdom was not employed only on the sheep, but the shepherds as well - the chief shepherds - for he was Theologian and Spiritual Counselor to no less than five Popes. He was the noted Theologian to the Roman Pontiffs

We know our Lord will not leave His apostles shorthanded for He will send His Spirit, the Holy Ghost which proves the Filioque of the Creed. How ironic when false prophets and antipopes are trying to justify the Jews in their sin, in this very week when such a denizen delves into the very region of Islam and Judaism and praises these religions that deny the Son and Holy Ghost. God detests such and Catholic truth condemns as heretical such actions. But should we be surprized? After all it's proven Ratzinger is no Catholic and we also know this because of Gospel of St. John the Evangelist on the truth. Our Lord foretold many times that the Jews would be a stubborn lot and indeed that has proven true for still today they brag about rejecting Him and expect faithful Catholics to tow their line rather than God's. More proof is visible for all to see today that the conciliar charlatans, by seeking to please the Jews and Muslims, answer to the prince of the world and not to the Son of God Who alone provides eternal happiness, re-emphasized so many times, especially in today's Gospel where Jesus promises He will always be with His children. The saintly Doctor of the Church Saint Gregory Nazianzen is the fifth in a chronological list of the holy scholars of the Church, was another from the 4th century who also faced the intense persecutions and calumnies of the Arian bishops. Son of two saints - Saint Gregory Nazianzen the Elder and Saint Nonna - and the sibling of two others - Saint Caesarius and Saint Gorgonna - this Doctor of the Church teamed with another Doctor of the Church - Saint Basil - to uphold true teaching in combating the heresies of his time. The holy bishop St. Gregory Nazianzen is considered the Church's Theologian. This Cappadocian shepherd also nurtured a young protege who would turn out pretty well himself, one Saint Jerome. St. Gregory is often called the Administrator of Theology

Griff Ruby presents a column in which he asks: Is Bishop Fellay the answer to the end of the Crisis in the Church? Does he have the answers? Many within his own Society don't think so. They feel they are being betrayed. The question remains: Is he being beamed into the Vatican for the good of Catholics or at their expense? What assurance does he have that the Modernists can ever be sincere and honest? From what has been seen thus far one would be wise to suspect 'there's something rotten in Denmark' as well as Rome. A word of warning to those who place their hopes in Modern Rome: Don't! Griff lays out the parameters in his column To Go Where No Saint Has Gone Before

In choosing the Latin word with its meaning and etimology, we hope more will be attuned to hearing Latin read at the altar and better comprehend the beauty of the Mother tongue. The VerbumQUO today on the Feast of the holy and worthy Pope Saint Pius V is "ædificábo" which is "I will build" for the Latin future first conjugation singular of ædificáre. This verb fits perfectly with Pope St. Pius V for he, of all Popes, built what Christ had established 1533 years earlier by codifying the infallible dogmatic decrees of the Council of Trent and set in stone "in perpetuity" the continual Sacrifice with the Latin Mass, often called Tridentine Mass from the time of Trent, but known universally today as the Traditional Latin Mass with his infallible Papal Bull Quo Primum, assuring the bread and wine would be properly confected through his decree De defectibus Editor Michael Cain explains in The True Reason for celebrating Cinco de Mayo

In choosing the Latin word with its meaning and etimology, we hope more will be attuned to hearing Latin read at the altar and better comprehend the beauty of the Mother tongue. The VerbumQUO today is "desoláta" which is the Latin adjective for "desolate", a state that St. Monica found herself in since she herself was helpless to help her stubborn son. Thus, in such a state, she turned to God, persevering through constant prayer for the son she had brought into this world. So great was her love that all she asked was his salvation. Through her steady perseverance Saint Augustine went on to become not just a convert, but the staunch stalwart of the Faith, the great Bishop and Doctor of the Church, effecting countless conversions that were planted by the humble seeds of holy desolation in his mother who trusted in God's love and mercy. Editor Michael Cain explains in The Fruits of Perseverance

In bringing you a feature first published three years ago, Editor Michael Cain presents another VerbumQUO for this Double of the Second Class Feast of the Finding of the Holy Cross with the VerbumQUO today being Crucis, which is the Latin for "of the Cross", the singular possessive of the genitive and taken from today's Introit, Collect, Epistle, Secret and Communion for today's Proper of the Mass for the Finding of the True Cross Nos autem. The Holy Cross is the focal point of our lives for which we venerate and carry with us daily. As Christ showed that there can be no Resurrection without the Cross, there can be no Victory without the Cross for us. We must be willing to take up our cross and follow Him daily. Only then can we be assured of sharing in the triumph. Cain explains in By this Sign we will Conquer

Editor Michael Cain presents a special VerbumQUO for today's feast, first published three years ago, in hopes that, in choosing the Latin word with its meaning and etimology, more will be attuned to hearing Latin read at the altar and better comprehend the beauty of the Mother tongue. The VerbumQUO today is persecutiónem, which is the Latin for "persecution", taken from today's Epistle, and a perfect reminder of what today's saint whose feast we celebrate - Saint Athanasius - underwent to keep the Faith when seemingly all others had abandoned it for Arianism. So also today Traditional Catholics are persecuted in so many ways, deprived of the venues to practice their faith, they are forced into the "catacombs" to preserve the True Faith. In Athanasius they can take solace for he was the The Godfather of Dry Martyrs

Yes, these are frightening times but we can take heart from the "Apostle of Tradition" Saint Athanasius who, in the time of the Arian heresy which pales in comparison to the heresies abounding today, stated, "They can occupy our churches, but they are outside the true Faith. You remain outside the places of worship, but the Faith dwells within you. Let us consider: what is more important, the place or the Faith? The true Faith, obviously. Who has lost and who has won in this struggle - the one who keeps the premises or the one who keeps the Faith? Even if Catholics who remain faithful to the Traditions are reduced to a handful, they are the ones who are the true Church of Jesus Christ."    The second day of Mary's Month of May is the Feast of the first man honored as a Doctor of the Church. That would be Saint Athanasius, the holy Bishop who withstood the brunt of the greatest apostasy in the Church until this present day when The Great Apostasy has arrived. It is in looking to this holy Doctor that we can take great hope and courage to stay the course and fight for the Faith as he did sixteen centuries ago. It was this stauch defender of Catholic truth, this Alexandrian Bishop who persisted against the Arian heresies through numerous popes. He was banished by emperors and the Arians four times. But in the end the True Faith won out, thanks to the persevereance of men like Saint Athanasius. Against all odds this Alexandrian Bishop persisted against the Arian heresies through numerous popes and was banished by emperors and the Arians four times. But in the end the True Faith won out, thanks to the perseverance of men like Saint Athanasius to whom we call on for intercession today when the VaticantwoArians had usurped the True Church and eclipsed Her, driving true Catholics into hiding to practice their faith just as Athanasius was forced to do seventeen hundred years ago. The more things change, as we see in today's Gospel, the more they stay the same for God's infernal enemy is our enemy and we should not fear man, but he who can destroy the soul. St. Athanasius is an ideal example of staying the course for he remains the Apostle of Tradition
