As these pages load, we invite you to say as many Hail Mary's as necessary. You can click on the Rosary button to the left as well to see the Rosary Prayers in English, Latin and Spanish. We pray you will be imbued by the truths of the authentic Catholic Faith we provide here and yearn to learn more of the infrangible truths of the One and only Church founded by Jesus Christ.

It's time to launch our special drive once again which will determine whether The DailyCatholic and SANCTUS can continue in 2009. It is easy to say "yes, we're all in favor of the restoration of Holy Mother Church" but we need you to put your money where your heart is. The DailyCatholic exists solely through donations with no salaries to anyone, and this year, we're it not for a few regular contributors, and we do mean "few" The DailyCatholic would have shut down. Many write saying how much The DailyCatholic means to them, but so few show their appreciation with a love offering. Yes, we are in tough economic times, but have you ever thought the reason we are is because many have hoarded their money instead of helping those working in God's vineyard? Food for thought during this penitential season of Advent, a time of almsgiving. Won't you please show your Christmas spirit by helping? We have nine levels from which you can choose to pledge a monthly donation to show your sincerity, to show how much you really believe in the Traditional Catholic cause.

Today the darkness grows ever stronger, the unholy roam the earth, chaos has snuffed out the calm, the brightness of the True Light has been greatly dimmed. What will you do to keep the Light shining? The inmates are running the asylum with no authoritive power. We have the blind leading the blind. Where is the rage of those on watch? Where is our outrage?.

Cyndi Cain returns with another lesson, this one on the energy problem. No, not oil, or alternative energy but rather the only energy that counts. She's talking about the energy to fuel our souls to conduct the True Light to others. Too many sources are draining that energy because we have allowed it to infringe on our spiritual conduits, on our power supplies of sacrifice and virtue. The world, the flesh and the devil with the help of the conciliar compromisers have sapped so many souls of the Light above that a great darkness creeps steadily and stealthily in from below, engulfing so many clinging to the shadows of political correctness and complacency. Lukewarmness on the right only feeds the frenzy of the radicals to snuff out all sense of decency and goodness, all sense of goodness and grandeur, all sense of the sacred and sublime. St. Ambrose encountered the same plight over fifteen centuries ago for he faced similiar erosion of morals, of the faith and of an epicurean endeavor to embrace the world, albeit, not as widespread and ensconsed as today, perhaps not as perverse either, but definitely authored by the same angel of light who refused to shine. Now it is our turn. Will we also refuse? Or will we answer God's call? His call to Rage, Rage Against the Dying of the True Light.

What we need today are men with the backbone of St. Ambrose to stand against the usurpers, to cry out "You are false shepherds, begone! Bring back the true Faith to the starving, depleted, scattered flocks." He was a unifier. Is there anyone who will step forward and truly unite Catholics once more against the heresies so rampant today?

Today, besides being the Vigil of the Immaculate Conception and Second Sunday of Advent superseding the normal vigil day of fast and abstinence, it is the Double Feast of the Holy Doctor of the Church Saint Ambrose. Ambrose was the first to migrate from the north, the Rhineland area of Trier and settled in Milan, Italy where he cast away a lucrative career as a lawyer and politician to accept the people's acclaim as their Bishop. He ruled in holiness and justice and was responsible for converting and nurturing Saint Augustine among thousands of converts. Together they fought vigorously against the Arian heresy towards the end of the 4th century. Unlike the pansy 'bishops' of today, Ambrose stood strong against the heretics and even the emperor for he was not ashamed of proclaiming Christ's truths nor was he afraid of offending anyone if they offended God. This pagan-born saint is known as Saint Ambrose "Converter of Saints"

The prophecies play a part of the two succeeding liturgies for Sunday and Monday, one from Isaias foretelling the lineage of the Savior and the immediate Precursor of the Messias and the other illustrating God's plan from all eternity to effect the birth of the Promised One via the purest of tabernacles in the Blessed Virgin Mary

John Gregory has provided Father Leo George Haydock's cogent comprehensive Catholic Commentary on the Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament. The commentary for the Second Sunday of Advent expresses hope for all in both the Epistle where St. Paul speaks of patience in persevering for Christ and in the Gospel our Lord manifests to the Baptist's disciples that Jesus is indeed the Messias Whom John the Baptist has strived to make way the path for. Christ proves this through the prophecies of the Old Testament, specifically the prophet Isaias who foretold the "Root of Jesse" and affirming St. John the Baptist as a prophet as the immediate Precursor of the Messias. In fact, Our Lord reveals that His cousin in prison is "More Than a Prophet"
The commentary for the Solemnity of the Double of the First Class Feast of the Immaculate Conception show how from all eternity God had chosen the most pure Star of the sea, the light of the heavens reflected in the purest human tabernacle ever created - the Blessed Virgin Mary. Though not specifically identified in Proverbs, we see in the Gospel of St. Luke that she is indeed named, not only specifically as Mary, but "full of grace" and "blessed"..."among all women." This confirmation comes directly from God via His Archangel Gabriel and is all the more stunning since Mary is truly a virgin, at the time of her conception through her Assumption she remains forever ever virgin, ever pure, ever Immaculate as we see in the commentary for this Holyday, From All Eternity

  • Ecumenism: Time to Stop the Insanity by Edwin Faust on the "sin of ecumenism." While this article from Catholic Family News recognizes the conciliar "popes", Faust provides some interesting insight into the conundrum so many face in going along with the conciliar con while still trying to maintain their Catholicity. It can't be done just as Drs. Droleskey and Horvat enlightened readers in recent respective articles below.
  • Spotless Mother, Spotless Mother Church by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, Patroness of the United States.
  • Right This Way, Mr. Devil by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on how dialoguing with the devil has opened the floodgates of hell where satan takes, takes, takes souls but never gives back. Yet the conciliarist continue to stoke the coals by encouraging those who foster spiritual terrorism against souls and, in the process, empower those intent on temporal terror as well.
  • Tuned out and turned off from Traditio on how the cacaphony of conciliar "music" has left even St. Peter's in a bind as far as sacred music is concerned where today they must import those type of musicians and choirs that were commonplace and so cherished just a century ago by His Holiness Pope Saint Pius X.
  • Remembering Us When by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on how so many are influenced by what the world thinks of us rather than what God demands. So few really know Catholic truth, especially in respect to cooperating with and condoning actions of non-Catholics. Tom references Dr. Horvat's article and Bishop Hays as well as St. Nicholas to illustrate Catholic truth and expose the conciliar lies.
  • The Socialist Record by Lyle J. Arnold, Jr. on how Socialism will never work, how it is the polar opposite of Catholic truth and only reinforces the non-Catholicity of the conciliar usurpers.
  • Little Flickers of Christendom by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on how, in the aftermath of the U.S. elections, we should look to our southern neighbor and a disciple of working for the Social Kingship of Christ as to what is important in a brief eulogy to Carlos Abascal who sought to emulate another great Hispanic politician Gabriel Garcia Moreno who was the president of Ecuador when Ecuador was Catholic.
  • Pro-Abortion Attitude Alive at Angelicum from Traditio on the aberration that will occur on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the unborn, at, of all places, the hallowed Angelicum in Rome. More proof of the apostate conciliar church and the usurper Benedict XVI whose silence is deafening in condemning the speaking engagement of pro-abort Cherie Blair, the wife of former Prime Minister of Britain Tony Blair, a nominal Catholic who converted for convenience, not commitment. But then, isn't that what Ratzinger has been promoting since day one? Wise up, folks, as the Father Moderators advise.
  • Vatican Approves John Lennon: An Ill-timed Act by Mark Stabinski on how Beatlemania has seduced the counterfeit church of conciliarism to the point that rock means praising the devil's beat rather than what it should be: Petrus. But then Peter has fled from this godless Vatican City State for Beelzebub rules today's warped conciliarists. No wonder rock 'masses' are so popular with satanists.
  • Without Regard for Results by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on the unceasing, relentless missionary work of St. Francis Xavier and how his zeal and devotion flies in the face of today's ecumaniacs who can best be described as brazen Brahmins.
  • The Nature of True Friendship by Dr. Marian Therese Horvat on why those who do not adhere to infrangible Catholic truth can never be true friends for true friendship "is agreement on matters human and divine with charity and good will" and those who compromise with the world have already betrayed their good will with God by embracing iniquity, something no true Catholic can ever do.
  • "Nothing which they can understand" by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on the words of Fr. Frederick Faber and the fact that we are fools for Christ and Deo gratias there are a few still left. Those who comprehend that, no other explanation is necessary; to those who don't there may be no explanation possible except to pray for them and ask God to give them the grace to understand, but never, never compromise with the world's opinion. Christ is our king and will always be first and foremost.
  • Traditional Latin Mass Locations across the United States where no concession is made to the counterfeit church of conciliarism and where you can be assured you will not be subjected to John XXIII's 1962 Missal.
  • Remember in your Prayers those listed who need your prayers. It is always a joy to remove someone from the list because they have healed. We'd like to share some very good news passed on to us from Fr. Daniel Ahern that he recently spoke with Sister Olive Rowley, the dedicated traditional nun who helps Fr. Martin Stepanich, OFM S.T.D., and he reports she "is fully recovered and, though a variety of ailments limit her activities, she is in good spirits, and still faithful to her Lord and her vows. The sacrament of Extreme Unction and your readers' prayers brought her through the crisis to which you referred." Thank you, Father, thank you , all, for your prayers, and Deo gratias. If some one on the list has recovered, the only way we'll know is if you notify us as Fr. Ahern did.
  • Pray for the Repose of the Souls of those listed who have passed away recently.
  • Please help keep The DailyCatholic on line with a donation
The miraculous Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is the Gospel in picture form. She is the Immaculate Conception, as the Apocalypse describes, "a woman clothed in the sun, with the moon at her feet." Those who saw it realized immediately she is greater than the sun, moon, stars which they had worshipped as gods. For people today in what is called the "New Age" she is also a sign not to worship the "forces" of nature. But she herself is not a goddess. She has her hands folded in prayer, her eyes looking down to humility. To whom is she praying? The clue is in the brooch under her neck. It has a small cross. But she is not only praying to God, she has God within her to the peoples of the Americas. You can see the compassion in the face of the Blessed Virgin. Hearing her tender message and gazing on this picture lesson of Catholicism, it is easy to understand that the Mother of Jesus is our Mother also! See Sixth Day of the Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe
From the Feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle (this year Dec. 1) to the Nativity of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ one may begin a special prayer, that begins "Hail and Blessed be the Hour", to obtain favors if one's requests are in accordance with God's will. It is believed that whoever recites this prayer with a pious heart as often as possible through Advent, will obtain whatever is asked. This Christmas prayer carries an Imprimatur from Archbishop Michael Augustine of New York City during the Pontificate of Pope Leo XIII on February 6, 1897. What better way to prepare for Christmas than the beautiful Christmas Novena Prayer

Stubbornness is a trait born of pride often found in cults who refuse to believe their leader is all wet, totally off track. Such is the case with the cult of Feeneyism entrenched at the St. Benedict Center which was founded by Fr. Feeney as ground zero and carried out in defiance of Eternal Rome's warnings to cease and desist. In their disobedience they ceased being "slaves of Mary" and became slaves of heresy.

Griff Ruby resumes his mega-part comprehensive series "The Art of Scholastic Dishonesty" as he now focuses on the messenger. Much has been said about the message of Feeneyism and now Griff sets his sights on the messenger who started this heretical mess, one Fr. Leonard Feeney and how he veered from the path that was formerly so promising. That is what happens when cults are formed and given more importance than the Faith itself. One definition of a cult is "zealous devotion to a person, ideal or thing" and that would definitely apply to those who have so stubbornly clung to the heresy of Feeneyism even in the face of what holy Mother Church has decreed. Normally, to prove a case against such a cult those outside the cult would be called upon to provide evidence or bring testimony to refute the defense of said cult, but in this case the evidence from members of the cult themselves easily indicts all those involved within the cult of Feeneyism. The question is are they, and their iconic leader of recent memory, really that stupid or that proud and devious? Griff shows, sadly, that it is the latter as he documents in the first part of installment eleven Conspiracy of a Cult

With every day we can see so obviously more and more incidents and occasions where Fr. Joseph Ratzinger posing as a "pope", continues to scandalize, but then should we be surprised of such action from a blatant heretic? Of course not. The problem today is that Catholics do not hate heresy the way the saints have urged us to despise sin. Yes, we are to love the heretic, so much so that we must resist any persistent sinner and seek them back in the good graces, but for some this is nigh unto impossible since the vast majority accept a heretic as not only a "pope" but as being in good standing in the Catholic Church while gravely offending God and His First Commandment. Sadly there are many traditional Catholics who ignore this point by attending "una cum" Masses that are illicit. Fr. Anthony Cekada follows up his thoroughly researched thesis of last year The Grain of Incense: Sedevacantists and Una cum Masses with a two-page summary of that essay to reinforce that it is not just an "opinion" to stay away from Masses said in union with a heretic, but a fact backed by the Magisterium of the Church and a serious occasion for sin as Father explains in his article Should I Assist at a Mass that Names Benedict XVI in the Canon?

In addition, we present Bishop Daniel Dolan's affirmation of Fr. Cekada's solid Catholic stance with his sermon given at St. Gertrude the Great on the Last Sunday after Pentecost this year on "the abomination of desolation" in which His Excellency addresses the issue of assisting at Mass. To do so we must actively participate in the propitiatory holy Sacrifice of the Mass as decreed by Eternal Rome for beaucoup centuries and obliged before God "in perpetuity". When we do this we are in accord with the alter Christus - the priest - and if the priest is not in accord with Catholic truth than to knowingly participate is a grave sin. This includes recognizing a heretic as one in good standing before God. It cannot be done and since it is that is enough evidence that it is wrong and should be avoided as a danger to one's soul just as the ancient Christians refused to offer one grain of incense to the pagan gods, show also true Catholics must refuse any recognition to a pagan "pope." This recognition is the major problem with the SSPX, Motuarians, and those who resist yet recognize Ratzinger as a true "pope." His Excellency spells it out succinctly in his sermon Why Do We Say 'No' to the una cum Masses?

The total lack of charity came to a head and continues in the aftermath of the elections, but should that surprise anyone considering America has shown by their omissions and commissions that they don't love God. How then could they ever truly love their neighbor? Therein is the downfall in domino fashion of America as we know it. Civilization has asked for Chastisement and God will answer in kind. Beware.

In light of the recent elections and vitriol of the culture of death and sin-all-we-want crowds that have demanded rights that fly in the face of God, Scott Montgomery weighs in with a short essay on what we have lost for true love (not amare or agape, or even the kind of charity caritas St. Peter refers to in 1 Peter 4: 8, but the sincerest love with which Christ expects us to love Him and our neighbor, to truly love: diligere) - is trampled under when family and values are abandoned and ridiculed. This is the kind of love our Lord references in St. John 14: 15, Si diligis Me, Mandata Mea servate "If you love Me, keep My Commandments." Have we? It's obvious America has not and the consequences are also quite obvious for we have not learned from history or from Scripture. The result, as Scott shows, is the decline of civilization, even in the great United States of America. so blessed for so long by God, but which now cries out to Heaven for vengeance because of its blatant sins and abandonment of God and His Laws, both Natural and Supernatural. Scott laments America's fate for their faithlessness in his essay Charity and the Fall of the American Empire

Have we not seen the signs? There have been signs and we fail to see what they mean as the rest of the world goes merrily on its way toward perdition. Today's Gospel and Epistle forewarns us and yet so many opt to be politicaly correct rather than Christ-correct!.

John Gregory has provided Father Leo George Haydock's cogent comprehensive Catholic Commentary on the Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament. The First Sunday of Advent, the very first day of the new Liturgical Year begins the one-year cycle anew picking up with the apocalyptic warning Christ echoed in the Last Sunday of Pentecost's Gospel and Epistle. With the world, especially America ignoring the Scriptures of "not rioting and drunknenness," "not in chambering and impurities, not in contention and envy" should we follow the PC police and policies or Christ? That is a no-brainer to those who take their Faith seriously. Unless we "put on Christ" in all we do, we had better be prepared to put on an asbestos suit for we're going to need it when "the powers of Heaven shall be moved" and many will realize it's too late. For those who have clothed themselves in the armor of Faith and grace, there will be nothing to fear for "the kingdom of God is at hand" as indicated in the Haydock Commentary, Don't say we weren't warned

While arguments for Baptism of Desire might seem slim compared to Baptism of Blood, there are actually quite a few excellent references if one bothers to research for the full truth among the esteemed Fathers and Doctors of the Church that prove the actuality of Baptism of Desire, and totally refute the heresy of Feeneyism. In this month dedicated to the Holy Souls what better time to remember the countless souls in Purgatory, many there through the Baptism of Desire.

Griff Ruby resumes his mega-part comprehensive series "The Art of Scholastic Dishonesty" in exposing not only the heresy of Feeneyism, but also the intended deliberate dishonest deception of those who have deceived. Throughout the history of the Church no true Authority of the Church has ever ruled against what is called the "Baptism of Desire." While it is true those souls dying without the salvific waters of the Sacrament of Holy Baptism would not be members of the Church Militant, they would be members of the Church Suffering, and a few, such as St. Dismas, members of the Church Triumphant. Thus, in this month of the Holy Souls it is necessary to refute those who harm souls by denying what the Fathers, Doctors, Saints and Popes have accepted and never condemned: BOD. In truly studying the quotes attributed to reliable sources such as Saint Ambrose, for example, one can see unreliable sources not only taking these quotes out of context, but applying an entirely different meaning and presuming they themselves know more than God Himself. It's not only the height of scholastic dishonesty, but sheer stupidity, not to mention very dangerous to their own soul and those whom they mislead. Griff presents the first part of his treatise on BOD with, Fathers Know Best what Desires God Desires

Griff Ruby continues with the second part of his tenth installment. This series was launched in order to help souls. Thus this second part of the Baptism of Desire is published today, All Souls' Day for there are no doubt countless souls in Purgatory needing our prayers; many of those souls there through the baptism of Desire. While the Dimond Treatise has been well refuted in every aspect throughout this series, another Feeneyite deserves to be grilled on his scholastic dishonesty in deliberately leaving out the context of quotes that sway the reader to think a Father or sage Saint didn't know what he was talking about. Below you can see this in black and white, especially in respect to the respected Doctor of Grace Saint Augustine, and how the desire to defend Feenyeism prompts desperate heretics to not only stretch the truth about Baptism of Desire, but deliberately deceive by omitting the true intention of this holy Doctor of the Church and other Church authorities who have been quoted. In this age of instant gratification, we must remember that holy Mother Church has always deliberated slowly but surely. There are no such things as shortcuts, something evident by providing all the evidence to prove the scholastic dishonesty of Feeneyites. Desire to Know the Full Truth about Baptism of Desire

Now it can be told. Just as persecution laid the seeds for conversion to the true Faith over the centuries, so also did the Nine who stood firm and held the traditions as St. Paul urges in 2 Thessalonians 2: 14 despite the tactics used by the Society of St. Piux X to intimidate and crush them. In the process the legal process exposed more than the Society would want folks to know.

In true Edward R. Murrow fashion Fr. Anthony Cekada provides the facts in a "You Are There" way as he details the history of the bitter court battles between the Nine Priests with Archbisop Marcel Lefebvre and the Society of St. Pius X. Though written last onth, we wanted to feature it for this issue sice Father explains the contributing factors such as the mentality of the Nine who would not make any concession to conciliarism even when Lefebvre took the same foolish course after the death of his great enemy, Paul VI, and his negotiations with Modern Rome as Bishop Bernard Fellay has taken with Ratzinger. Father shows what's really behind the SSPX agenda and how they set themselves up as the church when in truth they have no more authority, even less than a Third Order, Confraternity or Holy Name Society. Father details the course taken, a story that prior to now was one sided from the Society's biased point of view that has allowed them to play both sides of the fence while not only straddling the proverbial fence, but intimidating their own parishioners. Father shares an ingenious legal loophole that turned out to be the "Silver Bullet", as the Nine priests dubbed it. Six of the nine are pictured above. They are 1. Father Donald Sanborn, 2. Father Anthony Cekada, 3. Fr. William Jenkins, 4. Father Daniel Dolan, 5. Fr. Joseph Collins, 6. Father Clarence Kelly. Three have gone on to become authentic Bishops. Were it not for the Nine's brave stand for the Truths and Traditions in the face of strong-arming by the SSPX parties that would betray their mission, tradition would have been sold down the river to the conciliarists. For, as Fr. Cekada shows, to the SSPX it was about property and money. To the nine it was about preserving the Catholic Faith and saving souls from the Great Apostasy. Their efforts have borne fruit for sedevacantist chapels have almost matched the Society's efforts in the United States. In truth, America is genuinely globally recognized as a bastion of sedevacantism and great hope for the future thanks to the valiant resistance of the Nine as Father relates in his account The Nine vs. Lefebvre: We Resist You to Your Face
