My wife Sharon and our daughter Lucy join me in offering our
prayers this Christmas Day to Mr. and Mrs. Michael Cain and the writers
and readers of The DailyCatholic website.
Our Lady brought forth her Divine Son miraculously as He passed
through like light passing through crystal. Good Saint Joseph, the
humble and quiet head of the Holy Family, performed his duties as Our
Lady's Chaste Spouse and her Divine Son's foster-father.
A Saviour has
been born for us. Our lives can never be the same. We must give unto the
Newborn King everything we have and do through His Blessed Mother's
Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart.
We must detach ourselves more and more
from this passing, mortal vale of tears as we prepare the time of His
Coming for us in Judgment at the end of our lives, which could occur when
we least expect us. The extent of the Mercy shown to us at His Particular
Coming for us at the end of our lives depends in large measure on how we
welcome Him in our souls by means of Sanctifying Grace and how faithfull
we discharge the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy as Catholics who
make Him the King and center of our lives and as we plant seeds for the
restoration of His Social Kingship over us and our nations.
May we keep Our Lady and Saint Joseph and the Angels and the
Shepherds company at the Crib tonight and every day during the Christmas
Octave to give thanks that a Saviour has been born for us so as to die on
the wood of the Holy Cross and make possible our own rebirth for all
eternity in Heavenly bliss.
A blessed Christmas to you all in Christ the King and Mary our
Immaculate Queen,
