   Editor's Note: Many thought the fireworks were Wednesday on the Fourth of July, but the real fireworks came Saturday on 07-07-07 when the counterfeit imposter Benedict XVI continued his Hegelian game of synthesis by issuing the long-overdue and filled with land-mines Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum. There have been many who are singing Te Deum's and bending over backwards to compliment Ratzinger. They're just ripe for the picking. Several have written that youtube has several ditties on it and practically for every traditional mass they show it is the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, not the indult of Angelo Roncalli. They'll see eventually, but right now they're blinded by the blitz which is exactly as Beneratz planned. Patronize the plebeians for awhile until they have no out. Bishop Bernard Fellay continued with his fence sitting, saying congratulations to Benedict while still issuing a "but" and yet, not a firm but. It would seem one can get sore fence-sitting. Robert Moynihan of Inside the Vatican filed a report titled, "The Old Mass Returns." No, Robert, it is not the old Mass because it's the indult and will be celebrated by men who aren't even priests. Heck, this editor might as well drive down to St. Patrick's and offer the Motu Mass. After all, I know more Latin than the current presider down there who's not a true priest. That's how ridiculous this whole thing is and tragic as well for those who are being duped. Over the next week and most likely beyond we'll hear about many "opinions" and "feelings" but that doesn't really amount to a hill of beans because faith is not about feelings, but about divine law and that very prerequisite makes this splashy Motu Proprio dry, bone dry on arrival and already disintegrating as will the resistance of so many who have stood so strong against Vatican II and the inherent heresies and the very men who enabled, perpetrated and perpetuated the apostasy. That is why below we present sane, practical, documented reasons why it's all full of hot air and cannot have any authority with God. And after all, isn't that Who really counts?

It is, as Father Cekada summarizes in his four page essay, "IN the long run, the Motu Mass will contribute to the steady decline of the post-Conciliar religion and the eventual death of Vatican II - Ratzinger's devil-baby, for which Limbo was never an option. At all this, we can only rejoice. In the short term, however, many gullible traditionalists will be lured to the Motu Mass because of convenience or the prospect of 'belonging to something bigger.' But the negative aspects of actually assisting at the Motu are pure poison." Father Cekads explains in his insightful essay,

Again we ask you to please remember the editor's wife Cyndi Cain in your prayers for Thursday evening July 5, she underwent corrective surgery in the lower intestine as a result of complications from her major gastrointestinal surgery two weeks ago. There was a blockage in the smaller intestine preventing her from improving. Over the weekend she was really in pain, but the doctor thinks she's through the worst and could be coming home early this week if she continues to pray. 
Again, thank you for your understanding and prayers. As always she is at total peace and offered up all her suffering in reparation and places everything in the hands of the Divine Physician. We can only hope and pray that the physicians will be competent enough to assure she doesn't run into further complications.

  Today is the feast of the holy Doctor of the Church Saint Ephrem the Deacon, and in honor of this saintly Syrian, who was the second chronologically to receive such a title following Saint Athanasius, we present a brief profile of this early luminary of the Church. St. Ephrem was beloved by his people and one called the "Prophet of his people" and a deacon who combated heretical sects and Roman emperors, not by raising his voice in anger, but through Syriac poetry in winning the people to the Faith. His works are integral to the Syrian Church. In adherence to yesterday's gospel, Ephrem reached out and cared for the least of his brethren leaving the 99 to go in search of the one who was lost. Wednesday was the feast of the twenty-first Doctor in chronological order of those given the highest honor of Doctor of the Church. Saint Anthony of Padua was a man who was not blessed with good health, but turned that weakness into one of his greatest strengths. He was a holy priest who truly understood the meaning of Crusade and conquered many to Christ not through the sword, but through his eloquent speech, miracles and humility. He sought the crown of martyrdom, but was rewarded instead with the miraculous phenomenon of having the Child Jesus visit him, resting in his arms to encourage and pray with this beloved Franciscan whose preaching and odor of sanctity converted countless souls to the Faith. He was Saint Anthony of Padua - "Hammer of Heretics".
    
 He snakes his way through the "trees" of religious houses just as he did in the Garden of Eden. The branches of the trees he infects must be pruned, cut off and cast out. There is no other way! One can never dialog with the devil and those guilty of doing so should realize the horror of the "operation of error" that so insidiously slithered in to seduce some rebellious religious sisters of the CMRI. Because they did not discern the truth they now, tragically, "believe a lie." Thankfully, Roman Catholics in the Spokane area, who strive to live their faith as it has been taught from St. Peter through Pope Pius XII, have something the diocese of Spokane has not: A true bishop! Bishop Mark A. Pivarunas, CMRI who, to his everlasting credit, will have nothing to do with the counterfeit church of Vatican II, has put a stop to the collusion fostered by the conciliarists. Cain provides answers to the causes and the effects; consequences the rebellious religious may have never really considered in failing to heed St. Paul's words in 2 Thessalonians 2: 10. Thursday's Doctor of the Church is another of the magnificent luminaries God rose up in the 4th century. The holy bishop and Doctor of the Church Saint Basil the Great also faced the intense persecutions and calumnies of the Arian bishops and suffered greatly, never complaining and living a life of austerity while his fellow Arian bishops lived high on the hog. Like his good life-long friend and fellow Doctor of the Church St. Gregory Nazianzen, he,too, came from holy stock and had two brothers who became bishops; a father, mother and sister who became saints. This Bishop of Caesarea is one of the few, along with Popes St. Leo I and St. Gregory I and St. Albert to be given the august title "Magnus" - great.
