St. Alphonsus warned us of the very crisis we face today. Did we listen? Evidently not. Should we listen now? Most definitely!

Saint Alphonsus Liguori was the last Doctor of the Church chronologically. He was born near Naples and received a law doctorate in his teens. He had the world as his oyster and chose to cast his net into the sea in being a fisher of men. He founded an order dedicated to redeeming souls and he wrote volumes during a time when the enlightenment was already threatening the foundations of the Church. He vowed never to waste a moment and never did. He was the outstanding moral theologian who held the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass as the greatest gift any Catholic could partake in. He foretold the very crisis the Church is suffering today when he prophesied, "The devil has always attempted, by means of the heretics, to deprive the world of the Mass, making them precursors of the antichrist, who, before anything else, will try to abolish and will actually abolish the Holy Sacrament of the altar, as a punishment for the sins of men, according to the prediction of Daniel 'And strength was given him against the continual sacrificer'." Alphonsus, through a thorough knowledge of the Faith, the cavalier attitude already permeating the Church and through messages he himself received from Heaven, knew that day would come when, just as Our Lord foretold in Matthew 24: 15, the "abomination of desolation" would occur. St. Alphonsus was truly the Keeper of the Moral Compass.

One can never mix the Sacred with the Profane
A whole new Pandora's Box has been opened with the release of the Motu as the "fence sitters" teeter trying to make up their mind. They can't be on both sides. Thousands of Catholics are asking questions and the Fathers from the TRADITIO Network address the most important ones, which deal directly with Benedict's Motu that it will become a mixture of the Motu with the Novus Ordo. As much as BeneRatz would like it to justify his synthesis-antithesis, it cannot and will not mix, will not blend together. Just as oil cannot mix with water, so also the sacred can never mix with the profane. It is an insult to God to even endeavor such a blasphemous act by forcing a synthetic man-made rite into a divinely ordained perfect rite established by God Himself and a means of salvation for billions for nearly twenty centuries. The Fathers point out not only the inconsistencies, but the null and void aspects of the conciliar presbyters which come up far short of Anglican Orders and the Fathers provide the proof His Holiness Pope Leo XIII's Apostolicae Curae which furnishes more than enough evidence that the current crop of "priests" ordained since 1968 cannot be valid priests and therefore cannot confect the Sacrament of the Altar whether it be the NOM or a Motu. It takes a true priest ordained in the true Roman Rite changed by Paul VI in 1968. In a question from a Novus Ordo "Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist" on whether he can continue such abomination at the Motu, the Fathers clearly point out there are far graver problems than that in The Folly of Combining the Novus Ordo and the "Motu Mess"
With the expanding internet technology, The Daily Catholic has admittedly been behind the curve in presenting audio presentations along with print. One reason we have not until now is because we ourselves were not equipped to listen to these audios so that we could recommend them. Now we've added some software that enables this editor to hear them and pass these jewels on to our readers. The faithful have, thanks to TraditionalCatholicSermons.org, a library of excellent sermons and talks that we want to highlight and bring to your attention. Today we begin with the first part of a series of sermons His Excellency Bishop Donald Sanborn gave two years ago on the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in explaining the great gift we have in the Immemorial Canonized Apostolic Mass of All Ages. He commences with informing all why Latin was and is the universal language of the Church and His Excellency points out that the language cannot change because our religion cannot change, and thus we have kept this custom throughout the history of the Church until Vatican II when they "invented a vulgar service." His words prompted us to coin the word "VulgArians" to describe those who would choose trash over treasure. The Bishop provides all kinds of pearls that will give you a greater appreciation for what Father Frederick Faber called "The Most Beautiful Thing this side of Heaven." His first sermon is around twenty minutes which you can listen to while you surf other ports on The Daily Catholic.
The Mass: Why Latin?
Word has reached us that Father Patrick Fox, one of the pioneers of preserving the Traditional Latin Mass in Australia and New Zealand, has completed his mission on earth and has been called to his eternal reward. For 68 years he served our Lord faithfully, never ever saying the abominable Novus Ordo. He was born in the second year of Pope Benedict XV's pontificate and ordained a priest in the early months of the papacy of Pope Pius XII. He played a pivotal role in welcoming the SSPX down under and assisted them wherever and whenever he could. Yet, his allegiance to the Vincentians to which he was ordained, created many crosses with the drastic changes and the order following the conciliar collective and he was forced into the catacombs to continue celebrating the Immemorial Canonized Mass of All Ages. An interesting vignette in Fr. Fox's life was that he was pastor in the 60's and early 70's to several who had moved to Sydney from the United States to ensure they still had the Traditional Latin Mass. One of those young families was Hutton Gibson and his children, one of whom was none other than Mel Gibson. Fr. Fox's funeral services were held this past weekend which included two Requiem Masses and burial at the SSPX Holy Cross Seminary down under on Saturday. Once again the traditional movement has lost a noble, persevering dry martyr who never compromised his faith or loyalty to Christ and His Church. Below we include the Collect from Father Fox's Requiem Mass:

Will Ratzinger never quit monkeying with Catholic truth?

In case those traditionalists and conservative neo-Catholics were too busy either shopping for white flags or searching for flowers to strew at the feet of Benedict XVI in their misplaced euphoria over his Motu a few weeks ago, we remind you to read what he said just a few days ago as he was finishing up his holiday in northern Italy. He was on holiday and has been since the fifties - a holiday from the True Faith! Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey files an essay which contains proof of his most recent heretical scuttlebutt. Along with all the other heresies which he has never recanted, he pronounced publicly late last week that "We all see that today man can destroy the foundation of his existence, his Earth." No, that wasn't radical global-warming nutcase Al Gore in disguise, that was the man some traditionalists are willing now to recognize as a valid pope when what he says, and has said since before Pope Pius XII censured him in the 50's, has been heretical and a modernist through and through. Tom documents this most recent heresy and warns all to beware of this most dangerous Hegelian disciple by citing Catholic truth not only in the Scriptures, but also His Holiness St. Pius X's Pascendi Dominici Gregis. Tom also shows the "evolution" of this heresy by tracing his revolutionary evolution ideas back to Georg Hegel and Pierre Tielhard de Chardin. No, folks, Ratzinger is not and cannot be a Catholic Pope for a true pope cannot teach error in matters of faith and morals and that is all ol' BeneRatz seems to do! And don't buy the flimsy excuse which those, trying to justify their resist-and-recognize position, use that he is "just expressing private opinion." Private? Hardly, evident in the volumes of other pronouncements which are public and widespread. The "private opinion" doesn't hold water any more than Benedict can change water into wine or wine into the Blood of Christ with his Novus Ordo rite. Tom provides yet another example to illustrate, as the above graphic bluntly depicts, that the "emperor" isn't wearing any clothes. Tom illustrates how evolution is intrinsic to a Hegelian and Modernist who thrive on evolving truth through synthesis-antithesis. Besides being a Modernist, Benedict also espouses Pantheism. Anathema sit indeed! Tom lays it all out in Listen to the Voice of God
The Mother who set the standard for preparing her child for God's specific purpose
To commemorate this Double of the Second Class Feast of Saint Anne Mother of the Mother of God, we present a tribute by Denise Trias in which she lists the holy attributes of St. Joachim's holy wife. While today is not Mother's Day, it could very well be. At the least it should be "Grandmother's Day" because it is the feast of the greatest grandmother who ever lived, the grandmother of none other than the Son of God Himself. Yes, we are referring to good Saint Anne. What other term can one give to this awesome, obedient and patient loving mother of the Mother of God? She is the patron of many and, in the great clarion of saints is often overlooked, lost in the shuffle since she was one of the very first saints. Her cooperation with God through her spouse Joachim produced in her autumn years the miracle of birth. In her womb was formed the most Immaculate, perfect finite being the world has ever, or will ever, know. How could we ever forget Mary's mother and Jesus' Grandma? She sets the example of perseverance and the priority of bearing children. This is a lesson lost on today's selfish, instant-gratification generation who have so sadly forgotten that the rewards of motherhood are 'rolled over' in Heaven forever. Why? Because mothers work in cooperation with God to populate Heaven, and this would never have been possible without the fiat of good Saint Anne.
Denise also takes the reader inside St. Anne's Shrine in Massachusetts to illustrate some of the magnificent statues in this magnificent edifice, most notably of St. Anne herself nurturing her beloved, Immaculate daughter in body, mind and soul. Denise shares her experience in Good Saint Anne, Patroness of Mothers
The new refrain that could be heard in the not-too-distant future from Feminists: "I am Conciliar Woman, Hear me Roar! Then pass me the Red Hat. It will go great with my ensemble."
How ironic and sad that we notify you, after the above on the feast of one who epitomized femininity, the agenda of the feminists who, evidently, have Ratzinger's ear. We've all heard of the "time bombs" planted in the Vatican II reforms, thanks to the alert research of the late traditional crusader Michael Davies, who, despite all his wonderful contributions, may be part of the cause for many traditionalists being duped today by BeneRatz and his latest little coup de tat against traditional resistance - his Motu Mess. Indeed, those time bombs are still ticking and one of the most explosive ones is being tossed around like a grenade by various press wigs within the Vatican Collective. One such is Pater Eberhard von Gemmingen, Vatican Radio Correspondent for German listeners who is touting that Ratzinger could very well be laying the groundwork for not only women priests, but female cardinals! You heard us right and The Fathers at TRADITIO Network have more details in one of their most recent postings on the real agenda of the Modernists and Feminists laying in the weeds, ready to pounce. Now we can see another motive for Chiara Lubich's part in plastering St. Peter's Square with pre-printed signs clamoring Subito Santo for the nefarious Karol Wojtyla at his funeral. So much for "spontaneity." The Fathers lay out the differences between Traditional Catholic beliefs and fiction such as the infamous "Popess Joan" and do so in conjunction with the Ninth Sunday after Pentecost in which the Epistle admonishes not to tempt Christ and the Gospel relates how our Lord reacted when they turned the House of Prayer into a den of thieves; exactly what the counterfeit church of conciliarism has done. See, Benedict-Ratzinger's Press Director Predicts Female Cardinals Coming
By knowing who influenced a Modernist, you will know him as still a Modernist! You might say, "By their roots you shall know them."
Every Catholic is supposed to pray the Act of Faith each morning upon waking, along with the Acts of Hope, Charity and Contrition. Do we really believe what we say in the Act of Faith? One wonders, as does Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey as he lays out how Father Joseph Ratzinger surely does not. In fact Tom traces the Hegelian and heretical roots of Ratzinger's folly in thinking that dogma and truth can evolve. Doctrine is set in stone. It cannot change and this is something that everyone should realize as they go running to strew roses where BeneRatz walks in idolizing a man who has given recognition to false idols by condoning the ecumaniacal congratulations to Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, Jewish and Protestant feasts; a direct slap in the face of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Church He established with the infrangible truths we must believe as professed in the Act of Faith. Tom details how Ratzinger has incurred anathema sit from previous reliable true Sovereign Pontiffs who put it in no uncertain terms. He explains in his essay, Has Not God Revealed Them All? Speaking of roots, Tom switches from Ecclesiastical to the Executive Branch Mode in showing that the Bush and Clinton Clan come from the same mold and that mold, no matter how the spinmeisters shape it, is molding for it is not and has never been built on the foundation of Catholic truth. For that very reason it has failed and will continue to fail despite the rhetoric that they have the answers. Only One has the answers and He is not in politics, but His truths are upheld only in the catecomb churches where true bishops and priests strive to impart the unsullied Faith! They are the true public servants we should look up to. Tom delineates the corrosion of American soil and its soul in Two Families in Alternate Worlds
You can't keep a good saint down! Long live the memory and veneration of Saint Christopher, instrinsically linked to St. James and our Lord.
While today we celebrate the Double of the Second Class Feast of Saint James the Greater, lost in the shuffle is poor Saint Christopher whom the Vatican II Modernists didn't particularly take a hankering to and, with the feeble excuse that "there wasn't enough historical proof of his existence", eliminated him from the liturgical calendar just as he did dear Saint Philomena. In a way they weren't offended. After all, what else would you expect from an impostor intent on destroying the holy faith? In an effort to keep St. Christopher visible for Catholics, we present here a brief summation of his virtues by the renowned Abbot Dom Prosper Gueranger from The Liturgical Year. The name of Christopher, whose memory enhances the solemnity of the son of thunder, signifies one who bears Christ. Christina yesterday reminded us that Christians ought to be in every place the good odor of Christ (2 Corinthians 2: 15), Christopher today puts us in mind that Christ truly dwells by faith in our hearts (Ephesians 3: 17). The graceful legend attached to his name is well known. [though Montini and his gang of Modernists didn't think so!] As other men were at a later date, to sanctify themselves in Spain by constructing roads and bridges to facilitate the approach of pilgrims to the tomb of St. James, so Christopher in Lycia had vowed for the love of Christ to carry travelers on his strong shoulders across a dangerous torrent. Our Lord will say on the last day: 'What you did to one of these My least brethren, you did it unto Me.' One night, being awakened by the voice of a child asking to be carried across, Christopher hastened to perform his wonted task of charity, when suddenly, in the midst of the surging and apparently trembling waves, the giant, who had never stooped beneath the greatest weight, was bent down under his burden, now grown heavier than the world itself. 'Be not astonished,' said the mysterious child, 'thou bearest Him Who bears the world.' And He disappeared, blessing His carrier and leaving him full of heavenly strength. Christopher went on to be crowned with martyrdom under Decius. The aid our fathers knew how to obtain from him against storms, demons, plague, accidents of all kinds, has caused him to be ranked among the saints called helpers. In many places the fruits of the orchards were blessed on this day, under the common auspices of St. Christopher and St. James.
In many traditional parishes, vehicles are blessed on this day as well for St. Christopher medals and statues still populate traditional homes and cars. St. Christopher ferried so many of His "lesser ones" across the turbulent river to pray at the tomb (above left) of St. James the Greater at Santiago Compostela in Spain. A final thought. Why would Archbishop Giovanni Montini have wanted to rid the calendar of St. Christopher? Why would Bishop Karol Wojtyla and Father Joseph Ratzinger have followed suit in condoning such insolence? Could it be because St. Christopher, is, as Abbe Gueranger points out above, the patron saint against demons and we all know who let the demon dogs in the front door after Cardinal Angelo Roncalli opened wide the back door. Sancte Christophorus, ora pro nobis.
Now Performing: "The Great Benedini", Master Illusionist Extraordinaire et Ordinaire* *Since he seems to think Extraordinary and Ordinary rites are compatable, which they cannot be!
As many scribes and pharisees dissect BeneRatz's latest trick, the Motu Proprio, a few trusted sources nail what and who is really behind the curtain, who's really pulling the strings, who is hypnotizing countless clueless Catholics into doing whatever the master illusionist "The Great Benedini" says. He should be a headliner at the Palladium, his act is so clever, but he's not exactly playing off-Broadway as this Modernist marionette dangles the strings from his stage in Vatican City. However the Fathers from the TRADITIO Network are not so easily fooled as they expose the conciliar charade for what it really is. They write for the feast of St. Panteleon (who by the way chose martyrdom over his betraying, even one iota, his Lord and Master Jesus Christ, or the holy faith this martyr was blessed with. This medical doctor in the time of Diocletian would not offer one pinch of incense to the pagan gods; a far cry from the total surrender and syncretism today in Rome!), "The Achilles heel in the Great 'Motu' Mess Hoax is Benedict-Ratzinger's blatant lie that the Catholic and Apostolic Traditional Latin Mass of St. Peter and the fabricated 1969 Novus Ordo Protestant-Masonic-Pagan service of the Freemason Hannibal Bugnini and his Committee of Six Protestant Ministers are 'a single rite.' And Benedict-Ratzinger knows that he has published a lie in Summorum pontificum because he himself called it so in 1992, when he wrote that the Novus Ordo service did not come from Catholic and Apostolic Tradition, but was 'a fabrication, a banal on-the-spot product.'" You can read more at their latest posting on the Hoax, and about the intent to incorporate yet a new missal that will further confuse pewgoers, but then isn't that exactly how Vatican II came about? One also has to wonder if Bishop Fellay isn't attached to one of those strings. The Father's clarify in Great Motu Mess Hoax Continues with a possible 'Motu Missal' on the horizon
