The Diabolic Detraction of a Holy Pope by an Unholy Institution

"All The News that fits the NY TIMES' agenda!"
It is a well known fact that the Sanhedrin of The New York Times has had a blatant agenda to denigrate not only Traditional Catholicism, but also her last great Pope with the outrageous lies that Pius XII cooperated with the despot Hitler even though there are tons of documentation to prove otherwise.

"The one-sided and blatently biased way in which The Times selects which writers to cite and which stories to run merely reminds us that this rag is nothing but a liberal, Catholic-bashing embarrassment to journalism. It is clear that The Times will print a story or cite a writer's views only if that story or those views fit the paper's notoriously blatant, liberal, Catholic-bashing agenda. Any story which disfavors that agenda will likely be ignored while any story of view which favors that agenda will be championed despite its flaws, no matter how blatant and outrageous. The paper's bias in its coverage of stories relating to Pius XII are clear and convincing evidence that The Times has completely sold whatever journalistic integrity it had left to its liberal, Catholic-bashing agenda. Satan should be ecstatic."

We are all well aware of the hypocrisy and liberal bias spewed from The New York Times on a daily basis. A prime example of this trash is the way that rag has attacked His Holiness Pope Pius XII by depicting him as "Hitler's Pope" and painting him as an Anti-Semitic despot who merely replaced the swastika with a cross! Writers such as Gary Wills, James Carroll, John Cornwell, and Daniel Goldhagen have sought to trash this holy pontiff at every turn in the service of their varied liberal agendas aimed at bashing the Catholic Church and the Catholic faith in general. What evolves is nothing but further proof that The New York Times should change its motto from "All The News That is Fit To Print" to "All The News We Deem Fit To Print."

Biased Distortion

There is no need to rehash the despicable distortions and twisted facts which liberal forces use to unjustly depict The Catholic Church as an instrument of Jewish hatred. One of the central tenets of these claims is the notion that Pius XII failed to assist and actually harmed Jews during World War II, which of course is not only false but actually the opposite of what really happened. These distortions, inaccuracies, and lies are furthered for a larger purpose of bashing The Catholic Church and putting it further on the defensive. It is the height of bias and deception to present half-truths and outright lies as news to further a twisted agenda. It is journalistic irresponsibility to ignore clear weaknesses in a story in order to enhance its damage to an institution or cause one detests. Lastly, it is the pinnacle of hypocrisy and absurdity for a paper which pretends to have anything to do with accuracy, fairness, and impartiality to portray any news item as clear evidence of truth. Given its history with proven incompetence, deception, fraudulent news stories, biased writing, and other distasteful details, The New York Times is nothing if not a pathetic yet powerful propaganda rag.

Biased Trash

Gary Wills, James Carroll, John Cornwell and Daniel Goldhagen are notorious for two things among objective scholars and journalists. First, they all hate the Catholic Church and attack it as a prime source of Anti-Semitism and the scourge of mankind. Secondly, their writings often ignore facts contradictory to their Catholic bashing agenda. All four have written extensively accusing Pius XII and The Catholic Church of being Anti-Semitic based on shoddy research and false accusations which have been shown to be inaccurate by other scholars. Goldhagen may well be the worst of this bunch, blaming all Germans for the Holocaust and stating that Anti-Semitism is intrinsic to the German character. When Mel Gibson shows some ancient Jews doing something wrong, he is guilty of blaming all Jews for Christ's death and is declared an Anti-Semite. Meanwhile, here is a so-called scholar expressly blaming all Germans for the Holocaust and saying that they are all Anti-Semitic! Now, who is extreme here? Rabbi Daniel G Dalin, Phd, in the 2/10/2003 Weekly Standard, accused Goldhagen of "misuse of the Holocaust to advance (his)...Anti-Catholic agenda" The British Historian Michael Burleigh has branded Goldhagen's Moral Reckoning, in which Goldhagen declares the Catholic Church the preeminent source of Anti-Semitism in the world, "vile" and a "strip cartoon view of European History." This radical extremist hypocrite goes on to demand that The Catholic Church make reparations for its derelict duty in promoting Anti-Semitism, even going as far as demanding that The Catholic Church as we know it be abolished as a disgrace and a danger to all! So far those in Modern Rome seem to be accommodating Goldhagen's wishes much to the chagrin of true authentic Catholics everywhere and at the expense of Eternal Rome and the Faith.

Goldhagen, who cites Cornwell's Hitler's Pope and Gary Will's Papal Sin significantly, invited his readers to acknowledge "the incontrovertible facts and plain truths contained in this book." Taking Goldhagen up on his dubious offer, Ronald J. Rycholsk published an extensive and damning list of errors many of which Goldhagen has refused to correct. Rabbi Dalin has stated that Goldhagen's "polemic against Pope Pius XII and the Catholic Church fails to meet even the minimum standards of scholarship" and calls Knopf's printing of Goldhagen's work an "intellectual and publishing scandal."

The New York Times' willingness and enthusiasm to further spread the lies and biases of these despicable, biased writers only reflects its own bias and vile promotion of their extremist and fanatical views. This is not unlike that same paper's extensive attacks on Mel Gibson and his movie. It is clear that The New York Times has no problem endorsing writings which further its anti-Catholic, liberal agenda regardless of their dubious research. The way in which this paper has praised Dan Brown's dribble in The DaVinci Code is another example of this pattern of praising incompetent or biased research which supports Catholic-bashing garbage.

Biased "Journalism"

Following the pattern of the above radical, Catholic-bashing, fever-pitch, biased writers, The New York Times has not only posted their writings as fact but has itself taken up the interesting trait of reporting only those "findings" which favor the paper's similar agenda. When an Italian newspaper claimed to have uncovered a 1946 document saying that Pius XII sought to block the return of Jewish children hidden by Catholics from the Nazis to their original families after the war, The New York Times ran an immediate story on it and a number of Jewish organizations and pundits jumped on that story making demands on the Vatican with one critic calling for an international investigation. It is now known that this story was wrong on every critical point. Apparently the inaccuracy of the story did not matter as much to The Times as its potential as another Catholic and Pius-bashing weapon!

Now that the Italian newspaper Avvenire posts another story describing how the Nazis tried to kidnap Pius XII because Hitler say the pontiff was a major obstacle to his plan for world domination, The Times completely ignores that story for obvious reasons. As reported by the British news service Reuters, shortly before the German retreat from Rome, SS General Karl Friedrich Otto Wolff, the senior occupation officer in Italy, was ordered by Hitler to kidnap the pope, but he secretly warned Pius and assured him that no such kidnapping would occur instead. If Pius XII was "Hitler's Pope" as both The Times and fools like Wills, Carroll, Cornwell, and Goldhagen contend, why did the Nazi leader seek to kidnap his "old buddy"? Obviously, The Times would not want to reveal both itself and its favorite Catholic and Pius-bashing contributors as the idiots that they really are! Given all that has been discovered about these biased writers and this liberal propaganda rag, how can anyone with any shred of reason take anything The Times runs seriously?

Conclusion

The one-sided and blatently biased way in which The Times selects which writers to cite and which stories to run merely reminds us that this rag is nothing but a liberal, Catholic-bashing embarrassment to journalism. Satan should be ecstatic.

Given this attraction to ignoring facts and pushing biased views, The Times would be well-advised to hire Dan Rather as a contributing "journalist."
