Christ or chaos
The announcement of President Bush's appointment of White House Counsel Judge Alberto Gonzales as Attorney General proves sadly that Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey was right on in his prognostication about this staunch pro-abort Latino. Tom warned in an article on January 15, 2001 in his Christ or chaos that Bush would eventually elevate Gonzales and for pro-lifers not to be fooled by the President's rhetoric. In the aftermath of this most recent election when the strong Christian vote for morality swung the election for Bush, this wasn't what most of those voters had expected. Dr. Droleskey could say today, "I told you so" for the most recent action by Bush is just more of the ol' shiftiness - whether it comes from Washington or modern Rome, it's still skimble-skamble and wrong! Tom's words from over three years ago have come back to haunt us all as you'll see in his retro column
Sandra Day O'Connor, Part Deux
"Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Twenty-Fourth Sunday After Pentecost, he compares what Christ commanded to what is being peddled by the Vatican II church today, a direct contradiction to Our Lord's charge as well as Pope Pius IX's assertive words that we must do all in our power to "rescue them from the darkness of the errors into which they have unhappily fallen and strive to bring them back to Catholic truth." He identifies the cavalier attitude of the newChurch in placating pagan religions while selling out the true Faith. The Faith of the hierarchy of the modern church cannot seem to comprehend the parables Christ spoke which are "hidden from the foundation of the world," and consequently, the faith of the modern church is so weak that it has caved to the world, the flesh and the devil by approving the non-Catholics in their error, a grave heresy that has and will continue to deny countless souls from attaining everlasting life. Father points out the bad fruits of the false religion of Vatican II and how fruitless are their works in contrast to Paul's words in Colossians 1: 10 "Fruitful in Every Good Work"
Gabriel's Clarion

In Gabriel Garnica's column for this issue, he rails at those who clamor for social justice, yet justify the killing of the unborn. Gabriel points out clearly that without the ultimate social justice morality, justice is blind. He equates the plight of the slaves in earlier times and sees no difference except this slavery is much, much worse for the victim has no way to defend himself. Indeed a much more treacherous slavery has returned with a vengeance. Gabriel shows that there is no social justice if we continue to allow such a vile injustice as abortion to rule the land! He explains in his column Pro-Life: The Ultimate Social Justice Morality
Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi
We continue with the second part of a multi-part essay on the charismatic movement in the modern church. While Kevin Tierney has been bringing you this series most Sundays in comparing the Propers of the Mass of the Traditional Latin Mass and the Novus Ordo, the title of this feature "Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi" also extends to ways in which one prays determining how one believes. The charismatic movement, which John Paul II is on record as boasting as the "greatest movement in Church history" is, like the rest of the conciliar church, heading for oblivion. Kevin points out in the second part how the wisdom and guidance offered by the holy Doctor of the Church St. John of the Cross contradicts the over-eager charismatic agenda today and invites satan right in the front door. He continues to expose the pitfalls in his treatise with part two on

Living our Faith
We continue with our revised series on emphasizing the practical aspect of our Faith from a totally Traditional Catholic perspective. In this issue we provide the foundation - the Cornerstone of the Church - Christ Himself who is the Founder of the only One True Church outside of which there is No Salvation (The thrice-defined Dogma - Extra Ecclesiam Nullam Salus). Compare these clear and certain teachings with what the conciliar church has perpetrated in watering down the Faith so insidiously over the past 40 years that it is no longer recognizable as Catholic. That is why we provide this feature for we feel confident that these catechetical "points of enlightenment" will help more Catholics better understand their Faith, especially those who were not blessed with early formation of the Faith in the home and their parish school. Regardless of where any Catholic is in his or her journey toward salvation, he or she has to recognize that the Faith they were initiated into at the Sacrament of Baptism, making them truly members of the Mystical Body of Christ, is the most precious gift they have been given in life. If they truly want to live their Faith as it was taught in the Church of Peter to Pius XII, they must know the Faith and live it as Traditional Catholics. That is the only way to KEEP THE FAITH! Thus, in this issue we share The Mission of the Church

The Sanity of Sanctity
We continue our recent tradition of bringing you the Litany of Saints for the Saints and Feasts of November, the original concept submitted by Jacob Michael in September. Need some impetus to pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory? What we provide is a litany to all of the saints whose feast days are celebrated in the month of November. Many of these saints are little-known and often are not, for that reason, invoked in our prayers. Just as almost all in Purgatory are forsaken today by the post-conciliar church. If you add this short litany to your daily Rosary, you will have the benefit of invoking the prayers of some of these lesser-known saints for November. Litany of the November Saints
"Qui legit, intelligat"

In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Twenty-Third Sunday After Pentecost, he illustrates how suffering has a purpose; not a physical purpose as much as a spiritual purpose for just as gold is tested in the fire and purified, so also we must pass through our own flames of penance and sacrifice here on earth in order to be cleansed of our sins and to work in reparation for our sins and those of others as members of the Church Militant. Just as Christ shed every drop of His blood to merit for us the reward of Heaven, so also in today's Gospel He purifies the blood of the ill woman in a miracle that tells volumes, for He did not say "Thy blood has saved you," but rather "Thy faith has saved you." While those who do not accept Christ and all His teachings ridicule and scorn Him and His followers, those who realize the treasure Christ can form, are filled with hope and are willing to undergo whatever suffering God so wills for us for, as Father emphasizes, "all things work together unto good." He explains in his sermon "Take Courage...your faith has saved you."
STRAIGHT STUFF
Griff Ruby offers a refreshing honeycomb of hope and common sense for all Traditional Catholics. He recommends we all stop the name calling and seek to win conservative Novus Ordo believers over to true Catholic thinking and practice by loving them to death, for, as he explains, down deep they really want to be Catholic, but just don't realize how far they have veered from the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church. Griff points out it isn't always their fault if they don't know and we shouldn't lump them in with the "cafeteria 'Catholics'" who are anything but. He rationalizes that many traditionalists came from the same place for indeed we were once in their shoes and should more readily be able to understand their angst and confusion. We just need to give them a shove and the best way to shove is by hugging 'em. He explains in his column Have you hugged your local conservative Novus Ordo believer lately?

Gabriel's Clarion

Gabriel Garnica begins a series in which he summarizes various aspects of the recent national election and what it portends. He begins with the irony of the sheep, for to the world the "lost" sheep are those who know their Shepherd and He knows them, while the "found" sheep are really floundering among the wolves, oblivious to the imminent danger to their souls. They have failed to heed Our Lord's warning in Mark 8: 36, "For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" Fortunately, John Kerry did not gain the White House, and hopefully he will come to his senses and regain his soul. Gabriel explains in his column Counting Sheep
Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi
Kevin Tierney is dizzy from all the spinning of a modern Christ as the Novus Ordo does and once again he shows more examples of how the architects of the conciliar church's liturgy skewer the truth in such ambiguous terms that leave those trying to follow it in a total fog. He shows how over the last 40 years so much has been compromised and it is evident in the watered down liturgy. Whereas, those clinging to the Rite of the Traditional Latin Mass, are strengthened through grace and determination, realizing the why and how which is clear and concise, never compromised as Kevin points out in the comparisons of the Traditional Proper of the Twenty-Third Sunday After Pentecost with the Novus Ordo 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time.
The Great Compromise
On the BattleLine

Atila Sinke Guimarães also analyzes the results of the recent election and determines some interesting lessons that can be extrapolated from the vox populi. He illustrates how the majority approved the war on terror and our existence in Iraq while not caving to Bin Laden's intimidation. Atila points out that what happened in Spain was not going to happen here because the terrorists underestimated the American voter. The main point, as Atila avers and has shocked so many liberal media wags, is that moral values was the key to keeping Kerry out of the White House and it was the Catholic vote which, for once, made the difference and the more Kerry spewed heresy, the more Catholics came to realize true Catholic teaching - a true silver lining in the clouds of consternation. Atila explains in his column Lessons From the Elections
Quid Dicit Scriptura?
With today being the First Saturday of the month, dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Jacob Michael shares statements from ten of the early Fathers of the Church which set in concrete the correlation of Our Lady as the Second Eve, just as her Divine Son was the Second Adam. From St. Justin Martyr to St. Fulgentius, Jacob provides three hundred years worth of solid doctrine on Mary presented by ten of the most esteemed early Fathers of the Church, including six Doctors of the Church. He intersperses it with commentary from a future saint, John Henry Cardinal Newman. Jacob lists the quotes in his column Ten Early Church Fathers on Mary/Eve
Living our Faith
We continue with our revised series on emphasizing the practical aspect of our Faith from a totally Traditional Catholic perspective, we focus today on this First Saturday of the month, dedicated to Our Lady with a special symposium from My Catholic Faith on the Blessed Mother. It reaffirms what Jacob discloses above from the various Fathers and Doctors of the Church and shows that nothing in Holy Mother Church's teaching has changed and therefore we feel confident that these catechetical "points of enlightenment" will help more Catholics better understand their Faith, especially those who were not blessed with early formation of the Faith in the home and their parish school. Gabriel's Clarion

The Curse is over and Gabriel Garnica can finally salute the Boston Red Sox because Beantown is looking better this week with the threat of John Kerry flaunting his apostasy from the White House now impossible. Gabriel equates the Curse of the Bambino with the Curse of the Liar and shows how it was a clean sweep. Fenway has been purified, the ghosts of Billy Buck and the rest of the wrenching near misses have been freed, while Beacon Hill still has Kerry, Pennsylvania Avenue will not and that is due to the Vox populi as Gabriel explains in his column Truly the Boston Curse has been Reversed!
Living our Faith

We continue with our revised series on emphasizing the practical aspect of our Faith from a totally Traditional Catholic perspective, we focus today on those to whom Christ charged with continuing the teachings He imparted - His Apostles. Nothing in Holy Mother Church's teaching has changed and therefore we feel confident that these catechetical "points of enlightenment" will help more Catholics better understand their Faith, especially those who were not blessed with early formation of the Faith in the home and their parish school. FOCUS
Les Femmes' Mary Ann Kreitzer points out that Bush's election was a rejection of the immorality promoted by the left-wing Democrats and not as much an endorsement of Bush himself. She warns that the President should not listen to such traitors as Senator Arlen Specter, but rather pay attention to the pulse of the country. America has illustrated only too well by its vote that the red carpet must be laid out for a return to moral family values in which Our Lord and Savior comes first, and the country has soundly rejected the abominations promoted by the left because they undermine Christian principles and Catholic truth. She focuses on this in her column

The charismatic movement, which John Paul II is on record as boasting as the "greatest movement in Church history" is, like the rest of the conciliar church, heading for oblivion. Kevin points out in his multi-part essay why this is and why the charismatic movement is dangerous. He begins with part one as he addresses four questions to the charismatics that must be answered. To answer them is to admit the charismatic movement has nothing to do with Catholicism and is not from the Holy Ghost as he shows in Part One of Musings on the Charismatic Movement
Living our Faith
We continue with our revised series on emphasizing the practical aspect of our Faith from a totally Traditional Catholic perspective, we continue with the Four Indelible Marks of the Church as affirmed in the Nicene Creed. HOPE ON THE HORIZON
Townhall's Terence Jeffrey has written a column that could be titled "Friday Night Rights" after the hit movie "Friday Night Lights" for that is what St. Mary's in Kansas are fighting for, their right to play football. When it should be a shining example to all society that properness and decency, the distinction between the sexes and the sacredness of vocation come above competition and results, the liberals are out to squash decency. The refreshing message the SSPX Academy St. Mary's clarioned to their prep league and officials by willingly taking a forfeit rather than competing against a team which was trying to be politically correct by allowing a girl to play for them is not being taken well by progressivist officials. Holding the ideals of Catholicism and chivalry above the unisex movement today, the Society refused to play if the girl suited up. The backlash has been typical of this secular, atheistic culture. As Jeffrey writes, "Under the Friday-night lights of Kansas we are seeing a little preview of the prospective endgame for the overall cultural war if the busybodies of the American left manage to win it. These petty tyrants are not satisfied with the freedom to behave as their consciences tell them to behave. They want to force everybody else to behave like they do, too -- even if this means forcing traditionalists to act against abiding standards of civilized behavior and their own well-formed consciences." While Jeffrey refers to the Society as a "splinter group," all would be wise to realize who really is the 'splinter group.' The difference is that SSPX "splinter" is still attached to the Tree of the Church founded by Christ, unlike the branch that has broken completely off and calls itself the conciliar church with all its trappings. Yet, Jeffrey does not see that vein but rather a civil rights issue as he concludes, "On the doorsteps of our churches, around the campfires of our Boy Scouts, on the football fields of Kansas, seeds are being sown today that will determine how free America is tomorrow." He explains in his column
Football and intolerant liberals
Gabriel's Clarion

With the voting behind us, now comes the counting and the real politics, but Gabriel Garnica warns of a society whose shape is shifting towards Godlessness by abdicating morality in favor of satisfying the world, the flesh and the devil. He points out how the conciliar church has helped in this sell-out by spiritual bankrupting souls in the confessionals by equating sin as equal between mortal and venial and this is pure anathema. Such heresy has led countless souls to the brink of hell and beyond in their false belief that they will all go to Heaven for sin is relative. Oh, how wrong they are, but the witches of New Age and the New Order continue to stir up the gobbledlygook of gnosticism and other heresies in their cauldron of canards that are reshaping the fate of more souls than we might believe. He explains in comparing the election process with the erroneous thinking that permeates the conciliar church today in his column Electorals, Confessionals, and Melting Pots

On the BattleLine

Atila Sinke Guimarães exposes the latest progressivist program that has undermined the foundation of mortar and the Roman Collar with the destruction or closing down of so many churches under the false premise that people are moving away. The fact is the conciliar church has moved away from the faithful. He shows the contradictions of rationale between Boston where Archbishop Sean O'Malley is trying to run roughshod over old parishes and meeting resistance as is Cardinal Ed Egan in New York. And then there is Portland along with, as was announced above, Spokane who is following the same slippery slope but taking a totally different approach to destroy. This also applies to Tucson and many other sees that will begin falling like dominos for a house divided against itself cannot stand. Likewise Atila focuses on the reasons why the priest shortage is playing right into the hands of the protestant progressivists for they have an agenda that is certainly not Catholic in any sense, though they mask it with Catholic terms. What it is in truth is anathema. Atila lays out the facts in his bird's eye of the news column, we call Destroy, Dilute, and Delete
Christ or chaos
Though Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey has kept his moratorium on not commenting about the political scene, we believe the time is right to bring you one of his vintage articles that is all the more pertinent in these times. Thus, we bring you his excellent essay - which has been circulated far and wide - in which he analyzes the political landscape over the past two decades to show that the more we think things will change and Roe vs. Wade will finally be overturned, the more things remain status quo and the more babies are senselessly and sinfully murdered in the womb. The only way this Holocaust of the Womb can be stopped is not by party, but by recruiting and electing men and women who will be uncompromisingly pro-life with no exceptions. Tom explains in his magnficient, eye-opening uncompromising piece that has become a classic We Have Learned Nothing .

"Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Double of the First Class Solemnity of Christ the Sovereign King, he goes right to the source of what every human must do: submit completely to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, as their Sovereign King to Whom all obedience and loyalty are given uncompromisingly. Christ has given us the passport for this in the waters of Baptism in which we willingly choose to subject ourselves to His Holy Will, carried out and expressed in His Church. Yet, as Father points out, the postconciliar church is not His Church for it rebels against the King, stirring up a mestastasized mutiny that has exposed the cancer of Vatican II that, worse than aids or any disease, has claimed millions of souls for many of the faithful disregarded Our Lord's warning to beware of those who can kill both the body and the soul. Over the past 40 years we can clearly see the betrayal of the King. Calling upon the wisdom of Pope Leo XIII, Father assures Traditional Catholics will have no part of the revolt, but will resist it for the greater honor and glory of their King as you'll see in his sermon To Know, To Love, Jesus Christ

"Qui legit, intelligat"
In honor of the glorious Holy Day of Obligation when we honor the Church Triumphant, Father Louis Campbell presents a one of his vintage, but most timely sermons on a variety of saints past, present and future. There is no one alive who cannot will to be a saint. There are countless examples of men and women from every walk of life who strove to become holier. He points out that we will never know how many are saints today until the final day when we see the wonders of Heaven illuminated by the countless stars of the saints. Wouldn't it be wonderful if our star was included in that magnificent gallery of lights? Father shows how that is not only plausible, but very, very possible. He also points out that in these times when humanism usurps godliness, and when the worth of a human life, created by the Almighty, becomes important only in the fallible expectations of man's mindset, that one of the ways to sainthood begins by doing all we can to protect the innocent unborn. Within those wombs could be countless future saints - still not bodily formed human beings - who will grow and nurture into responsible members of Christ's Mystical Body to carry on the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church. He explains in his sermon, Called to be Saints

STRAIGHT STUFF
Griff Ruby weighs in with some interesting facts and fictions regarding a work which for Traditional Catholics is a must have on their book shelves - Denzinger's Enchiridion - called The Source of Catholic Dogma in which one can go straight to the horse's mouth, so to speak, to see what previous Pontiffs pronounced. Griff points out the simplicity and clarity with which they expressed dogma; quite a contrast to the ambiguous bafflegab of the conciliar men who occupy Modern Rome. He also shares how he himself got caught up in taking something out of context, which is one of those pitfalls we can all fall into if we do not take the time to thoroughly read everything. He even advances the concept that perhaps the periti and dismantlers of Holy Mother Church might have misread Denzinger and really were trying to fulfill the very things that had been condemned by previous Popes because they misread Denzinger. But he doesn't dwell long on that for that would mean they didn't know what they were doing and we all know they knew very well what they have done. The more Traditional Catholics are familiar with Denzinger, the harder it will be for the Modernists to succeed. He explains in his column Something about Denzinger
Gabriel's Clarion

Gabriel Garnica signals the final trumpet before the polls close as he borrows from the Bard and Shakespeare's words, "The devil can cite Scripture for his purpose." Indeed Gabriel illustrates how John Kerry is dancing with the devil, as evident from last week's cordial meeting with the leader of satanism and how insidiously the Democratic nominee twists the Word to suit his purpose at the expense of his own immortal soul. Gabriel identifies some of the passages Kerry has spewed and offers key ones that the Massachusetts senator should not only read, but live. It is all laid out in Gabriel's column in these times when there is indeed "something rotten in Denmark" and everywhere else as well. Gabriel enumerates in his column Did Shakespeare Know Kerry?
REALITY CHECK
Father Lawrence Smith reminds Catholic Americans of the casualties of war with statistics that provide where the real weapons of mass destruction are, and who is responsible. Never in the history of the United States has there been such devastation, never in the history of Americans on the battlefield has there been such bloodshed. Yet, in those times when Americans fought for their country, they had not yet abandoned God. Not so today for the government has blatantly abandoned God, openly flaunting the celebration of violating the Fifth Commandment with Roe v. Wade, not to mention outrageously breaking all of the other Commandments of God. Father points out that, no matter our political affiliation, no matter how much we have or don't have, every last man is culpable before our Sovereign King, Who will judge us if we are not faithful subjects, abiding by all His laws. Father has said it before, and he'll say it again: Time is running out! He explains in An Open Letter to My Fellow Catholic Americans

Echoes of True Catholicism
Dr. Marian Therese Horvat gets to the point of how Catholicism has been so undermined by secular interests and Halloween is now fully the devil's holiday and so many willingly are marching to satan's beat right into hell for the pagan practices, yeah, demonic practices are widely accepted today and grilled into the children's psyches as good. Marian traces this pagan phenomenology and shows how the only barrier to total paganism, total domination by the devil are the Traditional forces willing to valiantly fight the demons against all odds. The trick is they have on their side the greatest weapon - God. That is the Treat that will eventually subdue the evil spirits and free the faithful from the bonds of lucifer. That is the goal of those who have resisted the onslaught of paganism and the diabolic influence. She explains in her timely column Halloween: A Return to Paganism
