THIRD SUNDAY AFTER EPIPHANY

The New Judaizers

Gone is the mission to convert the "perfidious" Jews and unbelievers for it wouldn't be politically correct. Never mind what Christ and His Apostles say, we must not upset man and the New Order!

"Read the words of St. Paul in Romans and Galatians. In his Epistle to the Galatians he says: "Know therefore that the men of faith are the real sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, announced to Abraham beforehand, 'In thee shall all the nations be blessed.' Therefore the men of faith shall be blessed with faithful Abraham" (Gal.3:7-9).

"The Jews and Muslims, having no faith in Jesus Christ as Messiah and Lord, do not inherit this blessing. The Modernists at the Vatican have denied their heritage as the true heirs of Abraham by pretending that Catholics have some kind of spiritual relationship with the Jews and the Muslims because we are all 'children of Abraham.' This is deceitful and scandalous, confusing Catholics, and leading the conciliar church deeper into the darkness 'where there will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth' (Mt.8:12). "

Editor's Note: In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Third Sunday After Epiphany, he focuses on today's Gospel and the faith of the centurion and that many who "shall come from the east and the west, and shall sit down with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of Heaven" shall be "cast out into the exterior darkness;" where "there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." This they shall suffer because of their disbelief. Whereas the leper and the centurion believed, the High Priests, Sanhedrin and a great majority of Jews did not believe He was the Messiah 2000 years ago and today they still do not believe. Now this apostasy has permeated the newChurch as Father clearly documents. Instead of the Church standing in solidarity for what Christ commanded in Mark 16: 15-16 and converting non-believers so they will not be condemned, today it has sold out to Jewish pressure and abandoned the mission of the Gospel and what the Church has always taught from Peter through Pope Pius XII. Father shows proof of this just in the actions by Rome and this Pope this past week. These shocking admissions should rock neo-Catholics into awareness of the total apostasy going on beginning in Rome itself. [bold and italics below are editor's emphasis.]

On Saturday, January 17, 2004, an event described as "historic" took place in Paul VI Hall at the Vatican. The event was a "Concert of Reconciliation," featuring the talents of three hundred Jewish, Christian and Muslim artists, including U.S. maestro Gilbert Levine conducting the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in a performance of John Harbison's "Abraham". In a statement issued in November, the Vatican had explained that the concert was to take place "to promote the commitment to a peaceful coexistence among all the children of Abraham" (Zenit.org, Jan.14, 2004).

It sounds good. How could one object, if it furthers the cause of peace among Jews, Christians and Muslims who all look to Abraham as their father in faith? But whom are we kidding? What faith? And who are the children of Abraham? Concerning natural generation, not all who call themselves Jews are descended from Abraham, nor are all who call themselves Muslims. And only a small minority of those who call themselves Christian can claim Abraham as their ancestor, namely, those Christians of true Jewish or Arab ancestry. Therefore on the natural level there are no grounds for calling Jews, Muslims and Christians "children of Abraham."

Are we, then, all children of Abraham in the spiritual sense? And is Judaism our "elder brother in the faith" as John Paul II calls it? Those who call Abraham their "father in faith" must have the faith of Abraham. And only those who believe in Jesus Christ, Abraham's Heir, in Whom the promises God made to Abraham were fulfilled, have such faith, and are the true children of Abraham. Others, though we must respect them as fellow human beings and pray for their conversion, are simply unbelievers.

Jesus explains in today's Gospel that the Jews who refused to receive Him as their Messiah lost their right to be called children of Abraham. Marveling at the faith of the Roman centurion, Jesus prophesies: "I tell you that many will come from the east and from the west, and will feast with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, but the children of the kingdom will be put forth into the darkness outside…" (Mt.8:11,12).

Read the words of St.

The Jews and Muslims, having no faith in Jesus Christ as Messiah and Lord, do not inherit this blessing. The Modernists at the Vatican have denied their heritage as the true heirs of Abraham by pretending that Catholics have some kind of spiritual relationship with the Jews and the Muslims because we are all "children of Abraham." This is deceitful and scandalous, confusing Catholics, and leading the conciliar church deeper into the darkness "where there will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth" (Mt.8:12).

John Paul II had met on Friday with Israel's chief rabbis,Yonah Metzger and Rishon LeTzion Shlomo Amar, who were in Rome to attend the concert. They expressed to him their desire that Catholics worldwide hold a "Day of Dialogue" with the Jews. They also suggested to the "pontiff" that he associate himself with a significant gesture to the "Year of Maimonides," the Jewish philosopher and theologian of Cordoba, Spain, who lived from 1135 to 1204 A.D. (Zenit.org, Jan.19, 2004) [Editor's note: see The Faith Betrayed!].

After the Jerusalem Temple was destroyed in the year 70 A.D., the dispersed Jews continued to practice their religion, basing it on the writings of the Talmud more than on the inspired writings of the Old Testament. Moses Maimonides, despite his reputation, was an unbeliever, and wrote lengthy commentaries on the Talmud, considering it to be divinely inspired. Woe to those who criticized the Talmud! He declared it a religious duty to send Jewish traitors to the pit of destruction, including Jesus of Nazareth and His disciples, for whom he had this expression of contempt: "May the name of the wicked rot" (On the Mishnah Torah of Maimonides ).

"Do not bear the yoke with unbelievers," says St. Paul. "For what has justice in common with iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what part has the believer with the unbeliever?" (2 Cor. 6: 14,15).

We are now suffering the disastrous effects of this strange fellowship with unbelievers. Jewish "agents of change" have long been at work attempting to change the results of papal conclaves, and to adulterate Catholic doctrines and practices. At Vatican II Jewish individuals and groups such as the Jewish Masonic organization, B'Nai Brith, managed to change the Catholic Church through the document Nostra Aetate, which was a collaborative effort of the Jewish caucus at the Council. This is confirmed by a famous article in Look Magazine by Joseph Roddy, entitled: How the Jews Changed Catholic Thinking ( Jan. 25, 1966, Vol. 30, No. 2).

"Dialogue," a favorite theme of Jewish philosophers like Martin Buber before it became a favorite theme of the conciliar church, implies openness and willingness to change. But the purpose of the so-called "Day of Dialogue" with the Jews, suggested by the rabbis, which no doubt will be imposed on Novus Ordo Catholics, was made clear by the Chief Rabbi of Rome, Riccardo Di Segni, speaking at a conference on Thursday, January 15. "Reciprocity at the theological level does not exist," the rabbi said. "Christianity is born from Judaism and, with notable efforts, can introduce elements of Jewish spirituality," he said. "The contrary is not possible" (Zenit.org, Jan. 16, 2004). In other words, Catholics, through the "Day of Dialogue" with the Jews, can be expected to change by becoming more Jewish, but don't expect the Jews to change by so much as one iota. In fact, Christians can learn nothing from modern Judaism, the religion of the Talmud, which is no longer the same religion as that of the pious Jews who welcomed Jesus as the Messiah.

According to "Late Breaking News" John Paul II, in another gesture towards the Jews, has just appointed a Jewish Bishop for Jerusalem, the first since St. James, who died a martyr by being thrown down from the Temple in 62 A.D. Bishop Jean-Baptiste Gourion, a former French Benedictine Abbot, had these words to say, according to Israel Today  :

"For me, Christianity and Judaism are the same. I didn't have to leave Judaism to come to Christianity. The Jew and the Christian form the same body." Israel Today comments: "As such, he makes it clear that he will not engage in 'missionary' activities." In an interview published by Israel Today on January 20th, the new bishop states: "I think my appointment by the Catholic Church points to a new era between Jews and Catholic Christians. We have to learn to understand each other better. The Catholic Church has no intention of converting Jews to Christianity. Therefore, the Pope advocated a Jewish bishop in Israel." [Editor's Note: see The Faith Betrayed!]

Bishop Gourion makes it clear that he is only following the new policy of the conciliar church: "Forty years ago in the Second Vatican Council, the Church adopted a new theological position toward Israel as God's chosen people. The Catholic Church does not replace the Jewish people with whom God made an eternal covenant." The bishop adds: "I see myself as a Jew."

In his time St. Paul had to confront the Judaizers, certain Jewish Christians who wanted to impose Jewish customs including circumcision on all new converts. We are facing the New Judaizers, who want to turn the Catholic Church into a servile religion, subservient to the new false Jewish religion of the Talmud. We could turn like cowards and simply walk away, but we have to stand up and fight for our holy Catholic Faith. Like St. James, and St. Paul, whose conversion we commemorate today, we must renounce sin and embrace the truth, preaching the Gospel of salvation in the Name of Jesus, "For there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). What a privilege to take up our cross and follow Jesus, Whose Passion and Death we will soon contemplate as Lent begins. And what a special grace for our time will be the opportunity to view the new movie, "The Passion of The Christ."

Just now the Church is enduring her Passion, but she will soon rise gloriously, purified and holy, as the beautiful Bride of Christ, the New Jerusalem coming down out of Heaven. We can only pray, "Come, Lord Jesus!" "It is true," Jesus says, "I come quickly!" (Apoc. 22:20).
