Habit of Heresy

For centuries the nun's habit was a badge of honor, a symbol of serenity and goodness, a reminder of what we are all here to do: strive for sanctity. Just as with the Protestant Revolution in the sixteenth century, so also in the twentieth century those causing insurrection rebelled against the truths and traditions of the only Church Christ founded and thus cut themselves off from the true vine, becoming like their heretical predecessors, so much kindling for the fire as Jesus asserted in the Gospels. Below we see the good, the really bad and the very ugly side, the last two falling into that heretical category, which is the plight of everyone who chooses the wide path, a favorite with the world and the prince of darkness instead of the lonely, but only path to salvation through the steady compass provided by Catholic truth. The latter is a habit we must strive for, while the former leads to the habit of heresy.

I'm reminded of the scene in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" when the antagonists look into the opened Ark of the Covenant and, at first, see something beautiful that soon turns fatally ugly. So also the world portrays things as beautiful, but in reality, if it is under the governing of the prince of the world, it will most definitely turn ugly and, if kept up, become fatal to the soul.

Thus, those who were led astray and away from God by Protestantism, passed on the errors of their ways to succeeding generations to where many do not see beneath the surface until faced with the facts. Even then, they shy away from the Truth because it would upset their world view. So also today with the church of Vatican II which is no different than Protestantism. Even though they wear the garb of being Catholic, beneath they are riddled with the maggots of heresy. Once the facade is stripped away, we see the truly ugly reality of heresy.

Speaking of stripping away, other than the stripping of the altars and hiding the tabernacles, there is probably no better example than the religious nuns today, and I use that word "religious" liberally when it comes to the Modernist nuns who have introduced or gone along with so much nunsense. Allow me to illustrate the good, the really bad, and the very ugly in such a category. Remember when the nuns were the face of the Catholic Church? You would see a nun walking down the street - or glide, if you will - and everyone, Catholic and non-Catholic, were on their best behavior and exhibited total respect for them because of their uniform. Many wore it proudly for the Lord. The number of good nuns that were canonized saints is too numerous to mention in a single writing so just a few will be named here:

THE GOOD

  • St. Theresa of Lisieux - She was known as the Little Flower and suffered in body, mind and soul.

  • St. Gertrude of Helfa - She was the only Saint given the title "The Great."

  • St. Rita of Cascia - She bore the mark of a thorn from Jesus' passion on her forehead and suffered much pain.

  • St. Frances Cabrini - She founded 67 hospitals and institutions.

  • St. Brigid of Ireland - She was a miracle healer of lepers and other diseases.

St. Clare of the Cross - She was a visionary, who had a vision of Jesus carrying His Cross and suffered His pain.

Obviously, these aren't just good nuns; they're Saints. Then we have...

THE REALLY BAD

Not all are really bad nuns. Nuns are generally very devout to Jesus and the Holy Catholic Church. However, that's not to say that some are not misinformed and/or really bad, especially Vatican II nuns due to the modernism that's crept into the newChurch. The following is an excellent example of how modernism has distorted their dress code and reduced their true Catholic devotion.

Remember when you used to be able to recognize a nun because she wore a habit? When her dress code was distinguishable from the lay woman? What do you now see since the modernization of the Vatican II Church? If you don't recognize a nun today the reason is...most Vatican II nuns aren't wearing their habit. Therefore, how could a nun be distinguished from any other woman?

It's gotten so bad that even the Modernists are appalled if that is possible; so much so that they've called the American "nuns" on the carpet because they're out of control. Talk about an oxymoron or the pot calling the kettle black!

Of course, you're asking 'Why are nuns not wearing the habit that was proudly worn by nuns for centuries?' The answer is simple - "pope" Paul VI abolished (illegally) His Holiness Pope St. Pius X's encyclical Pascendi Domenici Gregis and Oath Against Modernism against the heresy of Modernism.

When I lived in an apartment a nun lived in the apartment below (not that you would notice she was a nun). She wore no habit, only street clothes. She lived in the apartment paid for by the Diocese, not in a convent. But worst of all was her un-Catholic demeanor regarding just about everything that a Catholic held sacred, e.g. "Once in the morning to make the sign of the Cross is sufficient for the day" or "Phooey that roses are sent up to Mother Mary when the Rosary is recited" and other such nun-sense. This nun would do well to read the story St. Louis Marie de Montfort tells:

"One day Our Lady appeared to an immoral man who used to always say his Rosary every day. She showed him a bowl of beautiful fruit, but the bowl itself was covered with filth. The man was horrified to see this, and Our Lady said, 'This is the way you are honoring me! You are giving me beautiful ROSES in a filthy bowl. Do you think I can accept presents of this kind?'"

This attitude of course is not widespread. Most nuns do not share this particular nun's attitude. But even that disrespect for anything Catholic is increasing as more feminazis enter orders. No, my example above is not an isolated case. Since Paul VI eliminated safeguards against Modernism, the modus operandi of many nuns today is quite different from nuns of the past. Need proof? Do you see nuns in church that you could recognize by their habit? Do you not see nuns replacing priests with the duty of establishing credibility for annulments? And the list goes on and on.

In fact, the only place you'll see traditional nuns today are in traditional chapels for they are really the only true Catholic nuns left. Truly, Vatican II has sown what it reaps.

This nun described above comes under the category of "The really bad." And if you thought it couldn't get any worse, well, there's the...

THE VERY UGLY

This too is not widespread, but it's gaining as the world, the flesh and the devil take control. But what the following nun has done certainly deserve the moniker - "The very ugly."

The "saintly" [sic] Mother Teresa accepted large sums of money from the dictator, "Baby Doc" Duvalier of Haiti who was well known for his repressive regime that caused most Haitians to live in servile poverty; his participation in the drug trade; and his practice of selling dead Haitian citizens' cadavers overseas.

Mother Teresa accepted 1.4 million dollars from the mortgage fraudster Charles Keating. She sent a personal plea to the presiding judge for clemency for the convicted Keating. When District Attorney, Paul Turley wrote Mother Teresa asking her to give the money back to the people Keating had stolen it from - she refused to do so.

On World Day for Prayer for Peace on October 27, 1986 in Assisi, John Paul II said: "It will be in the sincere practice of what is good in their own religious traditions and by following the dictates of their own conscience that members of other religions respond positively to God's invitation and receive salvation in Jesus Christ, even while they do not recognize or acknowledge him as their Savior."

Mother Teresa called the John Paul II Assisi meeting "Most beautiful gift of God."

The Athanasian Creed calls it gift from Satan. It correctly disagrees with John Paul II and Mother Teresa. It clearly shows that false religions cannot receive salvation...

"Whoever wishes to be saved, needs above all to hold the Catholic faith; unless each one preserves this whole and inviolate, he will without a doubt perish in eternity."

Some people think its taboo to say anything unflattering about Mother Teresa, but facts are facts, and Mother Teresa, without a doubt, deserves to be placed in the category of "The very ugly" nun. For some they may be shocked since the world adored her, but did not Christ say in John 15: 18-20?

"If the world hate you, know ye, that it hath hated Me before you. If you had been of the world, the world would love its own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you."

So the world loved Mother Teresa. What does that tell you? The world also loved John XXIII and John Paul II. Just reread Our Lord's words above and draw your own conclusions how ugly, really ugly the Vatican II church has become and realize it is because it no longer is part of the living vine, but a withered branch just as so many withered branches that chose to be separated from Christ, the true Vine as He affirms in the same chapter of John 15 with verses 1 through 7:

I am the true Vine; and My Father is the Husbandman. Every branch in Me, that beareth not fruit, He will take away: and every one that beareth fruit, He will purge it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now you are clean by reason of the word, which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abide in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine: you the branches: he that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. If any one abide not in Me, he shall be cast forth as a branch, and shall wither, and they shall gather him up, and cast him into the fire, and he burneth."

So how does one fall off the vine and wither? Through heresy. If you're not familiar with heresy, I strongly encourge you to check it out. As you will see, from the following explanation, if you honestly and deeply think about it, heresy is a serious and deadly sin that will dramatically effect your salvation. Why so? To say again: "There is nothing more offensive to Our Lord than heresy."

Explanation of heresy:

"Heresy is a crime which a person commits who, after he/she has received the Christian faith and still keeping the name Christian, either denies or doubts some truth which was received By God."

While some people manifest their heresy by written statements or oral declarations, most heresy and apostacy is manifested by deed, not word. Some examples are: Preaching by certain so-called Christian churches that Jesus is not God and does not share in the Holy Trinity; using Bibles that have been re-written that change the meaning intended by God in His Holy Spirit inspired writing of His Holy Book; Religions that go off on a tangent teaching false doctrines; and, establishing thousands (and hundreds more each day) of new religions applying doctrinaire that differs from each others' religions and are in controversion to God's one and only true Church, etc.,etc., etc.

I was watching a TV evangalist "perform". Oh, sure, he certainly spoke well and talked the lingo, a sign that he appeared he knew Scripture. Then he went on to exude heresy as if it were going-out-of-style. He was, in fact, actually depriving his viewers (if they believed and followed him) of their salvation, which is not conducive in a false religion.

Can religions not synchronized with God's one true Church be approved by God and give you salvation? Many think so but are they sure? After all, we all know excessive drinking and eating certain foods can be bad for us, but they are advertised everywhere and many of us consume them anyway - just as many persons follow heresy taught by false religious preachers.

Christ warned of this heresy almost 2,000 years ago, but His warning, much of the time, goes unheeded.

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." Matthew 7:15 and...

Peter 2:1: "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring damnable HERESIES..."

Matthew 7: 22-23: "Many will say on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity."

These are perhaps the most frightening verses in the Bible. Vast multitudes of so-called Christian preachers fit into this category. They call Jesus "Lord", but practice the sin of HERESY by not following His EVERY WORD.

The reason why the religious people in Matthew 7:22-23 were not saved is because they REFUSED to obey God's will concerning the Gospel of Jesus Christ. By changing His words and adding or subtracting even the slighest word of the Gospel corrupts it into a FALSE WAY.

Apocalypse 22:18-19 "If any man shall add to these things, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book; And if any man shall take away from this book...God shall take away his portion from the tree of life and from the holy city and from things which are written in this book."

Luke 11:28 "...blessed are they that hear the word of God, and KEEP IT."

Did you notice that Jesus does not say every paraphrased word, but EVERY WORD?

So, why did God establish so many different Christian religions and why does He continue to start-up many more each day that teach different doctrines? The answer is quite simple: He did NOT establish these so-called Christian churches. He established only ONE Church - The Holy Roman Catholic Church = Christ's Church. It is a FACT of Scripture and Tradition that Our Lord Jesus Christ founded His Universal Church (the Catholic Church) upon St. Peter as affirmed in Matthew 16: 17-18:

"And I say to thee: That thou are Peter: and upon this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of Heaven. And whatsoever thou shall bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in Heaven."

Our Lord made St. Peter the first Pope, entrusted to him His entire flock, and gave him supreme authority in the Universal Church of Christ. And this truth has been held since the earliest times in the Catholic Church. That which is taught from the Chair of Peter by the Popes of the Catholic Church is the teaching of Jesus Christ Himself. To reject that which is taught by the Popes from the Chair of Peter is simply to despise Jesus Christ Himself.

Luke 10:16 "He that heareth you, heareth Me: and he that despiseth you despiseth Me..."

Matthew 18:17 "And if he will not hear the Church, let him be to thee as the heathen and publican."

Can anyone reject any one of God's truths without falling into heresy? without separating himself from God's divinely revealed truths? without separating himself from God's one and only true Church? Absolutely not! Its just as Matthew 7:22-23 states. He who dissents even in one point from divinely revealed truth absolutely rejects all Christian teaching.

So, what's the solution? I won't sugar-coat it. Stop following the Vatican ll deceivers and those Protestant erroneous teachings, and KEEP GOD'S EVERY WORD. Remember the words in Apocalypse 2: 10, "Be thou faithful until death: and I will give thee the crown of life."

It should be obvious by now that this writing is directed to those dealing in heresy. It's this heresy that will cause one to hear those most frightening words:

I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity." (Matthew 7:23)

And those who persist in their heresies whether inherited or of their own making are in danger of hearing those very words when they meet their Maker. Is it not better to offend them, if you would call such charitable correction and love for the sake of their souls "offensive", than for them to say, when it is too late: "Oh, if only I would have listened."

We have all made many, many, too many mistakes and were too silent in the face of Satan's onslaught on Christ's Church just as He predicted, St. Paul warned and Our Lady alerted at La Salette and what Pope Leo XIII foresaw among many true mystics over the centuries: We are in the time of the Great Apostasy and it will sweep so many souls away from Heaven. So if you truly care for the welfare of your soul or your family's or friends, you'll be brutally honest with yourself and them and tell them the truth. If you wait, it could be too late. But it's never too late to act, and that begins with praying the Rosary and wearing the Brown Scapular.

Bill R. Metallo

We are pleased to include Bill Metallo in our stable of traditional Catholic writers. Bill's focus is solely on the Prophesies of Our Lady of La Salette and how, if only we had been vigilant, we would have realized the destruction already underway in the mid-nineteenth century. The Blessed Virgin warned us and yet we did not listen. Now we reap what we have sown. This series by Bill R. Metallo, President of The Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, is meant to wake the masses to warn of this coming catastrophe prophesized by Our Lady at La Salette; to bring Vatican II Catholics back into the fold of the true Catholic Church; and to reveal the truth to Protestants and all false religions that NO ONE existing outside the one, holy and apostolic Catholic Church can have a share in eternal life.
