This series, appropriately titled "Herod's Heroes," is intended to separate the wheat from the chaff by revealing those men and women, for whom the citizens have voted, and who are not upholding the ideals God expects of His children. We cannot condone sin, and they are promoting the most vile of sin by being accomplices to the slaughter of millions of innocents in the womb. That is why, like the Judean king of Christ's time, who, out of political expediency and jealousy, tried to eliminate the Messiah by killing the first-born of every family, so also they are helping satan in killing God's precious ones sacrificed at the altar of the convenience of modern life. These "Herod's Heroes" are under the totally false misconception that a woman has the right to do with her body as she wants. Wrong! It is not hers, but rather God's. The body we have is merely a shell to hold our soul. The soul is forever; the body, as we are reminded on Ash Wednesday, will return to dust. Christ has said in Matthew 10: 28, "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather be afraid of him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

Fourth on the list of congressional pro-abort 'Catholics' from the State of California and seventeenth overall is another Democratic congresswoman from Southern California Grace Napolitano.
As an ally of satan through her uncompromising pro-abortion stance, she is enabling lucifer to "destroy both soul and body in hell." Through her actions she has become an enemy of God and the Roman Catholic Church. This is not a political statement on Napolitano, but rather a moral statement. One she and her bishops should take very, very seriously.
Grace Napolitano is presently in her first term as representative for the 34th Congressional District which covers the southeast and east area of Los Angeles plus the San Gabriel Valley. She rose through the ranks beginning on the City Council of Norwalk in 1986 and then mayor of the same city in 1989 before being elected to the 58th District of the California State Assembly in Sacramento.
She and her husband Frank, a noted restaurateur and community activist, were raised Catholic and active in their parish. They had five children and are now enjoying the fruits of thirteen grandchildren. Thank God they weren't aborted. So why would someone of Mrs. Napolitano's calibre vote and promote pro-abortion measures? Why would she perpetuate the culture of death? She wasn't taught that in her home or in her school. Could it be the liberal atmosphere of the archdiocese she lives in? Could it be that political expediency is more important than the principles and truths of her Faith?
In representing a large Catholic population of Hispanics, you would think she would go against the grain of her party and seek to do what is right. Though just a freshmen in the House, she has the stature and maturity to influence her colleagues and do right. But evidently she's not a leader, just another wolf in sheep's clothing. She's expressed great concern for the quality of drinking water in her district but not for the quality of life in the womb. It doesn't add up.
No wonder there are problems in Southern California! It's time to peel away the pretense. Either she's Catholic or she's not! There's no 'half-way Catholic'! God won't stand for it and neither should we! By her record she has clearly shown she is not Catholic. Why has Congresswoman Napolitano sold out to the political correctness of the feminist left. Has she forgotten the values she learned as a child? that true feminism is exemplified in Our Lady through humility and obedience to God's Holy Will as she instructed in John 2: 5, "Do whatever He tells you."
One reason she could possibly have gone down the wrong path is that she has relaxed her mores and values because of the liberal regime of Cardinal Roger Mahony whose main goal, it would seem, is to protestantize LA and Southern California. How else do you explain the de-emphasis of the priesthood and the elevation of the laity by this prelate who has walked the politically correct line and been closely associated with the Clinton administration, even the scandals, in order to build his billion dollar legacy - the sterile monstrosity he calls a cathedral? Some of the documents he has released are a disgrace to the Church, not to mention an embarassment, for there is much hidden that has not yet been revealed. Yes, he made a statement against abortion at the National Democratic Convention last year in LA, but it was just hollow talk and delivered to a near empty hall. Had it not been televised it would have received no attention whatsoever. It was like Joe Lieberman berating Hollywood with one hand and gladly taking dirty money with the other. It's time the cardinal realized his calling and leave the "rewards" of the world behind. We dare him to censure Grace Napolitano for her pro-abort stance. He knows who she is. The same with Congressman Xavier Becerra who we will cover on Friday. But he's not about to rock the boat and that is what is so sad with so many of the bishops who talk a good game, but when push comes to shove, they won't act. What are they truly afraid of? That's a good question that more people need to ask.
Through Congresswoman Napolitano's actions and record she has illustrated a disdain for the teachings of the Catholic Church and Rome's mandate of upholding life in all stages by her promotion, votes and legislation of pro-abortion measures that empower the culture of death. She will have to answer to God for these transgressions against Christ's innocent ones as Jesus says in Matthew 25: 45, "'Amen I say to you, as long as you did not do it for one of these least ones, you did not do it for Me.' And these will go into everlasting punishment, but the just into everlasting life."
We ask her to repent of her ways, help turn the Democratic Party away from the culture of death and the immoral organization it has become under the evil leadership of Bill Clinton whose immoral standards she has defended without merit or credibility. We ask her to help bring the Party back to the glory days when the Party stood for decency and right. Today the Democratic Party is so far Left that its members, who continue to promote abortion - murder in the womb - could very well be left out at the Heavenly gates when their time comes.
Is Congresswoman Napolitano truly aware of that? We call on all to help her see the grave error of her ways and we call on her bishop in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Cardinal Mahony and in Washington D.C. Cardinal Theodore McCarrick to take firm, responsible action to assure that if she continues to persist in the sin, she will be banished from the Church for remaining a Catholic while carrying on the sin with no sign of repentance is a slap in God's and His Church's face. Left or Right? we respectfully, but strongly recommend this time of Lent and Easter as a time for the bishops to extend the warning - a time of Mercy - for these wayward 'Catholics' who promote abortion to repent of their ways. If they stubbornly refuse, then after Pentecost Sunday it's time to take action and dismiss them as apostates. Do you really want that, Congresswoman Napolitano?
You can e-mail Congresswoman Napolitano and, in love, ask her yourself. Beg her to repent of her ways. Remind her what Jesus asserts in Matthew 16: 26-27, "For what does it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, but suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is to come with His angels in the glory of His Father, and then He will render to everyone according to his conduct." We implore Cardinals McCarrick and Mahony, who have a duty before God, a duty to their flocks, a duty to their office, to extend mercy through the grace-period of Lent and Easter Season leading up to Pentecost. If she does not take action and Congresswoman Napolitano refuses to heed the Church, then let her be an anathema.
Like the prodigal son, we will gladly welcome her back and be proud to number her as a loyal Catholic - as a Paul who once was Saul. Does Congresswoman Napolitano really want her legacy in eternity to be that she was one of "Herod's Heroes?" With all the good that she strives to do, why have it blotted out by the evil that she has done? We pray her heart will be touched and she will return to the fold. But if she refuses, if she ignores God's commands, then so be it. It will be evident then that she has sold her soul to the devil and Christ has made it very clear in Matthew 19: 15-18 of how to treat one who turns one's back on His teachings.
Our bishops MUST follow Our Lord's teachings, they MUST stand up for Christ and His Church. They MUST not only speak out without reservation, but they MUST issue the ultimatum to these pro-abort politicians who bring so much scandal to the Church by continuing to call themselves 'Catholic.' If, by Pentecost Sunday, Congresswoman Napolitano refuses to repent, then she must be notified that she has interdicted herself by her actions, incurred automatic suspension (latae sententiae), and thus has been EXCOMMUNICATED! (cf. Canon Law 1329, 2; 1397 and 1398).
