    This series, appropriately titled "Herod's Heroes," is intended to separate the wheat from the chaff by revealing those men and women whom we have voted and who are not upholding the ideals God expects of His children. We cannot condone sin, and they are promoting the most vile of sin by being accomplices to the slaughter of millions of innocents in the womb. That is why, like the Judean king of Christ's time, who, out of political expediency and jealousy, tried to eliminate the Messiah by killing the first-born of every family, so also they are helping satan in killing God's precious ones sacrificed at the altar of the convenience of modern life. These "Herod's Heroes" are under the totally false misconception that a woman has the right to do with her body as she wants. Wrong! It is not hers, but rather God's. The body we have is merely a shell to hold our soul. The soul is forever; the body, as we are reminded on Ash Wednesday, will return to dust. Christ has said in Matthew 10: 28, "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather be afraid of him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

    We inaugurate this series today with the senior senator from Massachusetts Edward M. Kennedy. As an ally of satan through his uncompromising pro-abortion stance, he is enabling lucifer to "destroy both soul and body in hell." Through his actions he has become an enemy of God and the Roman Catholic Church. This is not a political statement on Kennedy, but rather a moral statement. One he and his bishops should take very, very seriously.

    For some reason that we cannot fathom, Senator Kennedy has been elected to six terms in the Senate. Massachusetts is supposedly a heavily Catholic state. What are the Catholics in Massachusetts thinking? We call on Cardinal Bernard Law, Archbishop of Boston and Bishop Sean O'Malley, OFM Cap., Bishop of Fall River Diocese which has jurisdiction over Hyannis Port where Kennedy resides, to usher the necessary ultimatum of Excommunication on this man who calls himself Catholic, but, through his actions, defies the Church's teachings.

    Most know the background of this man. He hails from the famous Kennedy family, the ninth child of Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy. He reached the senate by default, if you will, being selected to finish the term of his brother John F. Kennedy who gave up his senate seat in the House to run for President of the United States. For nearly 40 years Ted Kennedy has been in the limelight and his behavior hasn't always been laudatory. There are still many questions over the Mary Jo Kopechne death at Chappaquidick and though Kennedy, who was driving the car and left her to die, has denied any wrong-doing, he must realize he will have to account to God for whatever he has been covering up in her death.

    But he cannot cover up for the deaths of over 40 million unborns which he has passed sentence on over the past 28 years through his legislating, voting, lobbying and sponsoring pro-abortion bills and issues. He has shown a consistent, obnoxious and defiant total disrespect for the culture of life and has sought to "buy salvation" as though that keeps him in good stead with the Church. Jesus has said clearly in Matthew 6: 24, "No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will stand by the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammom."

    For several years many in the Knights of Columbus have called for his ouster from the Knights for, through his actions, Kennedy has not lived his Catholicity as required of a Knight. The fact he has violated not only the Commandments of God, but Canon Law and Church teaching clearly illustrate a pattern. Yet he continues to flaunt these transgressions in the face of God and His Church, railing against those who would uphold the Sanctity of Life. He also unabashedly lobbied and voted to stop the partial-birth abortion ban that was passed by the House and Senate but vetoed by Bill Clinton, also a Democrat.

    Ah, the Democrats. They weren't always pro-death. In fact, at one time they were the party that upheld Catholic ideals greatly and our ancestors were proud to say "I'm a Democrat." No more. There is no pride in claiming that moniker today, but rather shame - the shame of being an accomplice to countless murders. Italy may have the Mafia, but the US have the pro-abort Democrats. They are both the same: murderers! Ted Kennedy has been the "godfather" of the pro-abort movement and in turning the Democratic Party away from the ideals of yesteryear to the selfish agenda of political expediency through promotion of the culture of death. He has pandered to those interests who pad his pocket and pay him tribute, Herod's henchmen in NARAL, NOW and Planned Parenthood - all Democrats.

    The Democrats and media were outraged when the Republicans ran a television ad for George W. Bush which, as the word scrolled across the screen stopped for a second where all one saw was "rats." If they support abortion and condone the killing of 40 million - one third of the population born in America over the past 30 year - then they ideed are rats: vermin who delve beneath human decency and promote killing for convenience sake in 95% of the abortion cases. We have an even stronger word that can be gleaned from the word Democrat: insert "n" after 'Demo' and you will see who Kennedy and his fellow pro-aborts truly serve.

    Kennedy is a traitor to the Catholic Faith. He is in the same class as the abortionist himself who performs the ghastly deed. Dare we say it, truth be told, there is no difference between Ted Kennedy and Adolph Hitler. Both were intent on ethnic cleansing, one in the holocaust of the gas chambers, the former in the Holocaust of the Womb. Why does Senator Kennedy persist in aiding satan? Is his political career more important than the welfare of his soul? Ask him. His e-mail is senator@kennedy.senate.gov. Ask him yourself.

    Rose, bless her heart, was a daily communicant up until her death. She would be appalled today to discover that her own flesh and blood so vigorously promotes mothers killing their own. Ted Kennedy is the leading henchman among Herod's Heroes and though he doesn't really deserve time to repent of his actions according to his conduct and the way he has treated the child in the womb, we adhere to Christ's words to love the sinner and hate the sin.

    In God's love we implore Senator Kennedy to turn away from the lifestyle of the sinner Saul and become the Apostle Paul. We will gladly welcome you and, more importantly, so will God. We ask only that Cardinal Law and Bishop O'Malley give you the opportunity to transform your life by issuing the ultimatum. Either you comply, Senator Kennedy, with the teachings of the Church fully, or walk away and suffer the consequences. The lives of millions of souls, born and unborn, and especially your own soul, depend on your response, Senator Kennedy. If, by Pentecost Sunday, Senator Kennedy refuses to repent, then he must be notified that he has interdicted himself by his actions, incurred automatic suspension (latae sententiae), and thus has been EXCOMMUNICATED! (cf. Canon Law 1329, 2; 1397 and 1398).
