The Church Law of Fast and Abstinence for the US

(Adopted by the heirarchy of the United States, November 1958)

On Abstinence:

Everyone over 7 years of age is bound to observe the law of abstinence. Complete abstinence is to be observed on Fridays, Ash Wednesday, Holy Saturday and the Vigils of the Immaculate Conception and Christmas. On days of complete abstinence, meat and soup or gravy made from meat may not be used at all. Partial abstinence is to be observed on Ember Wednesdays and Saturdays and the vigil of Pentecost. On days of partial abstinence meat and soup or gravy made from meat may be taken only once a day at the principal meal.

On Fast:

Everyone over 21 and 59 years of age is bound to observe the law of fast. The days of fast are all the days in Lent, except Sundays. On days of fast only one full meal is allowed. Two other meatless meals, sufficient to maintain strength may be taken according to each one's need, but together they should not equal another full meal. Meat may be taken at the principal meal on a day of fast except on days of complete abstinence. Eating between meals is not permitted but liquids, including milk and fruit juices are allowed. When health or ability to work would be seriously affected, the law does not oblige. In doubt concerning fast or abstinence, a parish priest or confessor should be consulted.

Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica responds to the blatant idol worship of man personified in the Academy Awards and points out that it really was a blessing that Mel Gibson and his masterpiece The Passion of The Christ were not nominated for his reward will be great in Heaven. He doesn't need accolades from man, especially those who rail against Christ and His True Church. Gabriel explains how in Sunday's Gospel Our Lord's words "He that is not with Me is against Me" applies to today's society who have done all in their power to reject Him and His sound teachings. Gabriel also highlights how to include Mel's movie would be to expose the rest of the fare as mediocre. Now is that fair?Gabriel illustrates how two other movies are praised for the very things they come up short in and how The Passion puts them both to shame. He shows how Titanic, the only other blockbuster that made a killing at the box office, and a cult film for the bloodthirsty Kill Bill have been linked to The Passion of The Christ and in every way those other two films as well as all the nominees for this year's Oscars can't hold a candle to Mel and his 'little movie' that no one would touch with a ten foot trunk of wood. Gabriel manifests quite clearly the clear purpose Mel conveyed and how those who object are the very same who objected to accepting Christ and His truths. He explains in his column Passing on The Passion is 'their' loss
Echoes of True Catholicism
Dr. Marian Therese Horvat shares concerns about the secretivity surrounding the death of the last Fatima visionary Sister Lucia de Jesus dos Santos. Just as we asked on these pages last week, what are they hiding? so also Marian asks some pertinent questions and suspects with good evidence that Sister Lucia was getting 'bad information' as in false information, as in lies about the state of the church and the world. Marian also offers the conjecture that Sr. Lucia might very well have been silenced and suppressed in light of what her cousin Jacinta had told her before the latter died over 80 years ago: "When the time comes, speak, do not hide yourself." But hiding herself was the very thing she did or rather what the modernists did in hiding her away in a Carmelite convent in Coimbra, Portugal. Since 1970 she had been heavily censored and protected more than a Novus Ordo bishop hiding from the media or Traditional Catholics. What is on Sr. Lucy's computer, what words are in her diary that the modern Vatican institution is so afraid of revealing? What of the continuing corruption of the world and the nonconversion of Russia? Marian points out that the proof is in the pudding. Gone is the intercessor to stay the hand of the Father from spilling forth the Cup of Chastisement that runneth over. Now it's the time when deceit will be revealed, and God's hand will wash clean the decay that has permeated His Church effecting the entire world. Here on earth only those who survive the coming chastisements will know the answers. Marian explains in her column at Tradition In Action Forebodings about the Death of Sister Lucy
Sunday
"Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Third Sunday of Lent, he packs a wallop in identifying the very problem those who have stayed with the Novus Ordo face today. They are bishopless and priestless for they have condoned the ransacking of traditional forms, especially in the Sacraments of Holy Orders. Father reminds us of the chicanery of the modernists who have done all they can to expunge Pius XII's Apostolic Constitution Sacramentum Ordinis to cover their tracks. Father Louis points out that it is not available anywhere on the web and we are going to do all in our power to procure this Acta Apostolicae Sedis from November 30, 1947 so that all will know the fullness of truth spoken of by Father in his no-nonsense sermon today. These men who have accepted modernism may look like bishops, they may sound like bishops (even though they don't ACT like bishops), but they are NOT bishops for, as Father reveals, their consecrations are not valid. Think about this as talk heats up of the impending Conclave in John Paul II's waning days and realize most all of those entering the Sistine Chapel are not even true cardinals, let alone priests or bishops. What does that portend for the next man who will claim to be pope? The apostasy is so great that it has laid waste to practically the entire conciliar church. Look around you at the ruins. There is scant left to choose from. Had these men been ordained according to the truly Catholic Rite, then, even were they to be the most vile of heretics, they would still be priests, albeit bad ones, but authentic ones. For some that is the case, but for those ordained according to Paul VI's changes, it wouldn't matter if they were in heresy or were the most holiest of men, they still are not properly ordained priests in Christ's One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. As Our Lord states in today's Gospel, "He who is not with Me is against Me." When the laity realize this truth by fleeing from the Novus Ordo Lodges and their Grand Masters in droves, then they will pray all the more earnestly for true bishops. That plea will be heard in Heaven only when NOM presbyters are re-ordained in accordance to the form and matter set in stone by Pius XII and begin to celebrate on a daily basis universally the Mass of All Ages and live the Faith as it has always meant to be lived. Father lays it out in his sermon based on Our Lord's words in Luke 11: 17. A Kingdom Brought to Desolation

Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica sounds the clarion of truth that the manipulators have twisted things so much that in order to garner protection and be among the privileged 'victims' one must be a terrorist or murderer because - well it's their right! How is it their right, especially when most of these terrorists have no idea what democracy or justice are? Because the bleeding heart liberals have empowered them. Gabriel offers a twist on this twisted thinking: label the innocent unborns as 'terrorists' and they'll receive sympathy; the same with Terri Schiavo. Rather than 'victim' call her something else and maybe the leftist progressives will rally for her cause the way they do for whales or some almost extinct least tern in the habitat which only increases costs for real estate and development, all passed on to the consumer. Gabriel points out that the price of honesty is too steep for these hypocrites in the legal, media, political, religious and social echelons who have set policy and culture. They are the ones who have been leading the exodus away from God, away from basic family values and there will be a price to pay. In this survival of the fittest world, sometimes the only way to play the game is turning the tables by trading labels for, as he shows, that just might be, short of divine help, The Secret to Protection

Fiat Voluntas Dei
With this issue we introduce to The Daily Catholic readers Timothy Duff, who has taught Traditional Catholicism for decades. Tim is the author of the work The Church is not above Christ; thus we have selected the title Fiat Voluntas Dei - "To do the Will of God" as the title for his column. He debuts today with something we should all realize. While he specifically identifies Fr. Paul Kramer, author of The Devil's Final Battle, for acknowledging the titles of heretics, it is a bad habit that many, many traditional writers have fallen into. This editor is guilty as well for it is admittedly one of those habits that are hard to kick, especially after so many years of being programmed to be blindly beholden to the Novus Ordinarian Lodges. The facts are as Christ points out in this coming Sunday's Gospel, "He who is not with Me, is against Me. And he that gathereth not with Me scattereth." If one is true to Christ, then they will not change one iota of the Sacred Deposit of the Faith. We can see that has been done wholesale. Ergo, those changers are not with Christ, but against Him. They may be Freemasons, they may be clowns, they are definitely Modernists, but they are not Catholic. Tim points out simply where we must stand and what we must state in following the infallible, perennial Living Magisterium of the Church guided by the holy wisdom of St. Robert Cardinal Bellarmine who addressed this very subject. How can we give recognition to anyone who has not entered by the door of grace, but another way - as in through "the smoke of satan"? Tim urges all to recognize the enemy and do not encourage him for he is a wolf who seeks to scatter the sheep as Tim explains in his column Heretics are not Catholics

Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica reminds us that it was one year ago today when every Traditional Catholic anticipated the debut of Mel Gibson's masterpiece The Passion of The Christ. He points out appropriately that those same enthusiasts are greatly disappointed that Mel has been shut out of major awards this year, but that why should we worry or Mel about such trivial things? Christ has already promised a cornucopia of spiritual awards and that is really all that counts as evidenced from the message of the film. The true travesty is that those who try to ignore Gibson's classic are ignoring both the messenger and the message. Gabriel shows the parallels and how that simple, beautiful, loving message is timeless for no one has ever depicted more realistically or visually and so simply why Christ died for each and every person. They have forgotten that touching scene when a bloodied, weakened Jesus looks into His Mother's eyes along the Via Dolorosa and encourages her, "Mother, I make all things new." Despite the broken promises of Hollywood and the industry governed by satan, Gabriel shows how His Promise Holds

Catholic PewPOINT
Editor Michael Cain poses some thought-provoking questions about the death of Sister Lucia for it has created many more questions than answers as the modern Vaticanistas go into defensive mode. Events over the past week have revealed a few things already, but there are still many, many pieces of the puzzle missing. We know, as always is the fate of those who fabricate, that eventually they'll trip over their own tongues for they have left a long trail of lies and cover-ups. Is that really the visionary Sister Lucia in the coffin, or was that an imposter? Considering the subterfuge over the past 40 years, you can't put it past them. Now the question arises: what are they hiding? Short of CSI, Cain suggests more of the faithful demand answers, make noise, and expose the charlatans before they totally bury the purpose of Fatima and spin it into their own ecumaniacal agenda to establish the One World Order and the advent of the Antichrist. Fatima has always held the answer. The problem lies with those who know and keep it hidden. What are they hiding? Souls have a right to know, have a need to know for the sake of the Faith, for the sake of salvation. Cain pulls no punches in his editorial Only Heaven Knows!

Dr. Mike Adams exposes what we have long known not only about Gonzaga University but every other so-called 'Catholic' institution of higher learning in America. THEY ARE NO LONGER CATHOLIC. Adams proceeds to reveal the underbelly of tolerance for everything but providing "separate water fountains for traditional Catholics." What Mike doesn't realize is that there is a fountain of traditional Catholics in Gonzaga's back yard, yeah, in William Skylstad's own back yard. You know him, he's the new Czar of the USCCB. While "sly Sky's" diocese is going down the drain, more traditional Catholics are gravitating to Spokane where Traditionalism is growing as that gurgling sound is the Novus Ordo establishments swirling in their own sewage. Adam's letter to Jesuit president Rev. Robert J. Spitzer nails it at this university made famous - well before the recent hardwood fame - by a certain crooner who's best known as Fr. O'Malley of Going My Way. One thing for sure, they're no longer going God's way. Der Bingle, call in the cavalry and Calvary, Hope is missing because they're on the Road to Perdition. Adams lays it out in his letter God and Man at Gonzaga

Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica turns his attention on the man who, though Christ had great hopes for, struggled in his journey to fulfill his duties. That man is St. Peter, our first Pope and whose feast we celebrate tomorrow. Gabriel reminds that if Peter could be forgiven for denying His Lord and Master, then there is infinite hope for any of us no matter how badly we have offended God. The key is to realize it, to be true to oneself by being true to God. In addition to the parallel of Peter, Gabriel offers how important it is to want to be with Christ, to receive Him worthily. In order to do that we must also want to be fully sorry for our sins and amend our lives so that we will never again offend Our Lord. Being human that isn't easy. Christ knows that and that is why He gave us the vehicle of the Sacrament of Penance as a visible sign of His infinite Mercy. Gabriel points out the fact that many today receive Him in the Eucharist unworthily because they do not feel the need for confession. That only compounds the sin and leads more to the path Judas took. To follow Peter, we must refrain from receiving Holy Communion until we have availed ourselves of the healing graces of a sincere confession. To think otherwise is foolish and leads toward perdition. Gabriel explains in his column Quo Vadis Tua Culpas?
Christ or chaos
Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey alerts all to the sly spin of Zenit in trying to pass by the reader the authenticity of something the Blessed Mother never intended. On the heels of Sister Lucia dos Santos' death, Zenit interviewed the director of the Information Center of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of Russia. Now a man in this position should know better but considering the sad state of the hierarchy today and all attached to them, such misinformation seems the norm rather than the exception. Tom takes Zenit to task for not challenging the Protestant mind-set of Victor Khroul who besides being director is also the editor of the Catholic weekly Svet Evangelia. If proselytism is now forbidden, it would show that Russia has definitely not been consecrated. If, as Khroul purports that it merely means passing from non-belief to belief, that opens the door for the Russian Orthodox to stop Catholicism at the border. Either way the modernists are caught in their own lies. The fact is that Catholicism must be preached in Russia. Christ charged us to in Mark 16: 15-16, and Our Lady reinforced that with her request at Fatima. Despite those facts the modern Vatican institution has twisted and altered the messages, now proceeding, over the last several years, to fabricate the Blessed Mother's words to fit their ecumaniacal agenda, something which previous reliable Sovereign Pontiffs and Saints have condemned. Tom actually castigates Zenit as the messenger who has been sloppy, if not totally irresponsible in their reporting. Are they reporters or PR men? Better yet, are they Catholic? Tom gives us a hint in his column The Conversion of Russia to the Catholic Faith
Sunday
"Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Second Sunday of Lent, he shows the contradiction of what the modern Vatican institution promotes to what the Apostle Paul preached to the Thessalonians in today's Epistle. Modern Rome seeks favor from the world, Eternal Rome seeks God's favor. One is consequently disoriented, while the other - though dwarfed by the conciliarist church - keeps us oriented on the Goal - striving for sanctification so that when each stands before the Eternal Judge at each's Particular Judgment, each will hope to hear those same words from the Father which we read in today's Gospel "I am well pleased." That is only possible if one toes the mark by abstaining from fornication and all other sins that destroy the foundation of grace as Paul emphasizes in today's Epistle. Father points out that what is going on in Modern Rome is the very thing Sister Lucia dos Santos recognized as "diabolical disorientation." One wonders with her now gone, how the modernists will explain that. They've already ordered her cloistered cell sealed. It sounds like they have something to hide. But one cannot hide from God for He knows the heart and though many have become disoriented, only the Traditional rite and rubrics focus fully on striving toward holiness and, in so doing, adhering to the will of God. Father explains in his sermon "The will of God - your sanctification"
Hope on the Horizon
Doug Giles illustrates how being a saint was never a picnic, but not striving to be, not doing what God wanted, would really bring the ants swarming, and the bees, and locusts, well, you get the picture. Doug in his Clashpoint column offers the story of Jonah who, because of his own stubbornness, procrastination, what have you, ended up in the "belly of hell." He sums it up that if we don't follow the will of God, He just might send a storm where the only refuge from the torrents could be the bowels of a fish. It matters not here that whales are mammals and not fish, for it is not pertinent to Doug's clashpoint. What does matter is that we realize in order to get us motivated God might need to shake us up a bit. The more He shakes, the more He means business because He loves us. Funny way of showing it one might say, but as Doug shows in his column, He works in mysterious and wondrous ways. Tough love is like that. All should be able to relate with being tossed to and fro because we were spouting like a blowhole what man wants to hear whereas it will take a mighty spout to bring us to our senses to do what God wants to hear and see. But then it's better to be regurgitated from the belly of a whale, than vomited from the mouth of the Lord (cf. Apocalypse 3: 12). Doug asks us to remember poor ol' Jonah. He elaborates in Runaway prophets

Gabriel's Clarion
As we close Ember Week, Gabriel Garnica offers some interesting facts on the miraculous manifestations of Christ's presence. He points to the well-known Shroud of Turin, as well as the Sudarium of Oviedo in Spain which is thought to be the burial cloth that covered Our Lord's face. To verify these he brings up the Miracle of Lanciano when a priest, doubting the true presence in the early 1700's, saw for himself the Body of Christ in the form of bread become actual flesh and the Blood of Christ in the form of wine become actual blood - His Blood. To this day it remains, visible in a Lanciano church in eastern Italy near the Adriatic coast and south of Loreto. What is fascinating about Gabriel's explanation of the type of blood, which he points out is "one in 200 billion" - think of those odds - is fascinating for Christ is both the the Universal Recipient and the Universal Donor and how this corresponds perfectly with the Human and Divine character of Christ's Blood. The blood has the physical universal recipient qualities as expected which corresponds with Christ's humanity. The universal donor quality is Gabriel's elaboration of Christ's role as Savior and Redeemer which is fascinating reading the physical characteristics known for the AB blood type. Fascinating reading and deduction awaits you in Gabriel's column for Ember Saturday titled The Blood Type of Salvation
Feed My Sheep
This is a combination of two articles we have combined into one. It is pertinent as a follow-up to Bishop Richard Williamson's article "The Unwomaning of Woman" which we resurrected a few weeks ago and which we have had several comments on. One of the comments was: "What about the guys?" and that was well-warranted for, were the young men faithful to their calling in life, they would not have betrayed the trust of those whom they would court nor the mother that bore them. Thus we have addressed young men contemplating the married state and looking for a life-long soul mate. Those who might choose a higher calling to religious life, well, we have some sound suggestions as well, especially in this time of Lent when Vocation Awareness is emphasized in traditional circles for priests and nuns are absolutely necessary to carry on the Faith. There must be a cohesive balance of both shepherds and lambs all going in the same direction toward a common, ultimate goal. To take this step takes trust. To know oneself and the Faith is to realize who to trust. "Where thou goest, I will go"

The Straight Stuff
Griff Ruby presents the third part of his essay on how Lumen Gentium changed everything. Today he shows the grave inadequacies of the fruits from something that was supposed to be "wide and generous" - the "Indult Mass" - and which, in fact, one needs a detective to find. Griff relates his own experiences of this 'hide and seek' game when visiting in London, England a few years ago. It prompts one to ask: If the Church is universal why are the "Indult Masses" so sparse throughout the world? Why are most of the hierarchy from the top on down so squeamish about permitting a Mass set in stone for 1800 years? What frees them to be so disobedient to the perpetual celebret of St. Pius V and the Dogmatic Council of Trent? In those questions rest the fate of the Modern Vatican Institution as we know it today...all traceable back to Lumen Gentium wherein the visible unity of the Church was distributed only partially to the Vatican Institution and partially elsewhere, and what the Vatican institution must do to regain its former claim as being the True Church. Griff explains in Part Three of What is your picture?
Exspectans exspectavimus
Following up our piece from Inside The Vatican exclusive Newsflash last week, we present today editor Robert Moynihan's latest editorial in the print edition of the January-February 2005 issue of Inside The Vatican. In his commentary he focuses on the infinite beauty, reverence and superiority of what Fr. Faber called the "most beautiful thing this side of Heaven." Robert's words confirm that as he brings out the differences between the Old and the sterile, watered-down, clueless New Mass which, as he proves, comes up greatly lacking, if even possessing any redeeming qualities short of what the Vatican's "foreign minister" calls dropping some repetitions which are, in fact, meaningful prayers that only add to the graces attained when one assists at the Mass of All Ages - the Immemorial Mass of Tradition as is pointed out in our series 77 Graces. More and more the editor of one of the most influential and respected publications in Rome is turning back to the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church. It's the only way to turn. He shows how this direction is stirred by King David's Poetry

Making Sense of Sensus Catholicus
In conjunction with Ember Week in Lent, we bring you a meditative essay on mortification - both interiorly and exteriorly - by Father Dominic Radecki of the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen. Along with his twin brother Father Franscisco Radecki, he is the author of a powerful new book released a few months ago which is an easy-to-read compendium on Church history from Peter to present time. It also devotes the second half of the book to the who, where, when, what, how and why of Vatican II. In this feature today, first published in the Spring issue of the Reign of Mary last year, Fr. Dominic points out that if we do not bridle our self-will through the practice of interior mortification and conformity to God’s will, we cannot advance in the spiritual life. Because of our self-will, we will be destroying with one hand the spiritual edifice which we are trying to construct with the other hand. Father provides examples and exemplications of mighty saints in bringing home his point in his article Interior Mortification and Conformity to the Will of God

The Fatima File
With the death of Sister Lucia de Jesus dos Santos, we felt it important to keep her memory alive with the unfinished business of the Third Secret. In today's Fatima File we bring you a trilogy of articles exposing the cracks in the thin-skinned shell of Modern Rome's "interpetation" that so insidiously avoids any mention of apostasy in the Church. The first article is a release from the Fatima Center and the second part is an interesting twist on the secret that was released in which one of the leading Mariologist theologians, albeit Novus Ordo, refutes Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger's interpretation. The piece was composed by Ron and Kirstie Finster as part of their series on "The Third Secret of Fatima." The third and final piece is from WorldNetDaily, written most probably shortly after the 'Third Secret' was "revealed" and is a strong denial of what it really contained as Father Gommar DePauw, founder of the Catholic Traditionalist movement in America and a charter member of the Tower of Trent Hall of Honor, debunks the new Vatican's spin. With the passing of the last Fatima seer, we present the three pieces together during this week of her interment. Did the Third Secret of Fatima Die With Sister Lucy?

Cardinal O'BrienCardinal O'Connor
The strong faith and backbone of Saint Thomas More and Saint John Fisher has been abandoned for the politically correct pandering by the modern primates of the United Kingdom. Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey exposes the hypocrisy and heresy of these new cardinals of newChurch over the impending 'marriage' of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles, a former 'Catholic' who obtained no annulment and cannot possibly receive one for Canon Law - even the watered-down 1983 Code - does not allow such escapes. If so, Henry VIII could easily have disposed of Catherine of Aragon to marry Anne Boleyn before tiring of her. Said the Sovereign Pontiff Pope Clement VII to the English monarch at the time: "If I had two souls, I would gladly give you the annulment, but since I have but one I cannot for a Heavenly kingdom is more important to me than an earthly one. I will not betray my Heavenly King and His Holy Church." But New Order red-hats Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor of England and Ireland's Cardinal Keith Patrick Michael O'Brien don't think in that 'medieval way.' They reject the heroism of the English martyrs and show themselves even more protestant than their Anglican counterparts, with the exception of the looney Archbishop of Canterbury. Tom shows they are not the only cowards as he points out the same hypocrisy on this side of the pond. He sets the Novus Ordinarians on their ears with solid Church doctrine and the infallible Word of God in his column If Only Henry VIII Could Have Waited for Cormac Cardinal Murphy O'Connor and Keith Cardinal O'Brien

Gabriel's Clarion
of For Ember Wednesday Gabriel Garnica reminds us of the why the True Church has Ember Days during the liturgical year and why Ember Days in Lent are the most pertinent in equating with Our Lord's suffering. Gabriel explains why suffering is a key component in unlocking the door to Heaven. In fact, Our Lord clearly pointed this out in Matthew 16: 24-25, Mark 8: 34-35, and Luke 9: 23, "If any man will follow Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whosoever will save his life, shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life for My sake, and for the gospel, shall save it." Gabriel shows how it is not a matter of finding oneself as the world promotes with so much division, but rather in losing oneself in giving in to the will of God that graces are multiplied a hundred-fold. He illustrates how the narrow way is the only way in his column for Ember Wednesday that is the sum of salvation in Equation for Eternity

The Fatima File
In commemoration of the death of Sister Lucia dos Santos, we felt it important to bring you today a "Gem from the Past" - an essay by Mark Fellows, the author of one of the most definitive works on the entire scope of Fatima, titled "Fatima at Twilight." With her passing, twilight has become a bitter night as has been documented in this feature series on these pages. Fellow's piece laid out the arguments regarding Sister Lucia and how it didn't calculate then with the swashbuckling Vatican spin that was disseminated through the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith's The Message of Fatima...and it doesn't add up now. In truth, there are too many holes in their theory and the hull of their deception to make it sail. Sadly, the propaganda has dulled and deceived so many into believing what in truth is a false flag raised to deceive souls and cover up the real intentions of the modernist buccaneers. Through the good graces and permission of John Vennari of Catholic Family News we were able to bring you this in three parts. Today we bring you the essay in whole as we present Fellows' excellent, fact-filled feature which exposes the facades on the cardboard hull of the modernists' pirate ship, illustrated so well in Lucy and the Pirates
Christ or chaos
Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey pens a heart-rendering tribute to the long-suffering servant of Our Lady of Fatima, the seer Sister Lucia dos Santos who passed away this past Sunday just five weeks shy of her 98th birthday. Tom shares his own experience on how he was first introduced to the importance of Fatima in his earliest parochial schooling and how that childlike devotion and foundation in the faith in carrying out Our Lady's messages at Fatima have sustained him when everything else was falling apart. He recalls the wisdom of Cardinal John Carberry as late as 1982 in reminding his fellow bishops in America that there was only one sure-fire peace plan and that was to heed all the Blessed Mother imparted at Fatima. Already the modernists had infiltrated and the poor cardinal was laughed at for such superstition by men who should have been living the Faith but had already sold out. Tom writes "Living at a time when popes redefine various doctrines and cardinals congratulate members of royal families entering upon illicit marriages, we must flee like the Fatima children to the sure refuge of Our Lady's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, praying the Rosary with attentiveness and fervor as we keep the Five First Saturdays and pray that our children may yet live to be the beneficiaries of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the chief fruits of which will be the restoration of the Social Reign of Christ the King in the world and the restoration of Tradition within the heart of Holy Mother Church." That is the key to carrying on the campaign lived so faithfully and spread by Sister Lucia as Tom explains in his column Our Lady's Suffering Messenger: Sister Lucia of Fatima

Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica addresses an issue that vexes many and confuses the masses and that is how can a minority rule, especially the way it does today? Polls are taken and the majority would seem to favor the forbidding of abortion and sodomy. Yet, the minority rules and it does so, as Gabriel explains, through political power, influence, and social/cultural appeal spun by progressivist agendas from the sodomites, abortionists, and anti-Christian camps. But try as they might, no might can enable them in ultimate victory for they will always be a minority when opposing God Who is the Majority. The more oppressed a minority might be, if that minority - like the early Christians or Traditional Catholics today - is in accord with the divine will, then they will never be a minority but always in Heaven's majority. Gabriel illustrates examples from Gideon and Machabees to modern times to bring home that point for "only minority struggles which emerge from God Almighty, His Divine Will, and the teachings of Christ can lead to ultimate moral success and eternal salvation!" The conclusion, as he syllogizes so well, is that there can be no majority without God and with God one can never be considered a minority for, as Gabriel proves, God is A Majority of Three in One!
Christ or chaos
Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey acknowledges what many of us in our journey towards the truth have discovered and others are finally beginning to discover: many, many of the things that John Paul II has done over his 26-year pontificate and even before, not only fly in the face of the Sacred Deposit of the Faith, but were strongly condemned by recent reliable Sovereign Pontiffs. He proffers the most recent statement by Karol Wojtyla issued on the heels of his return to the Vatican after a touch-and-go fragile 10-day stay at Gemelli Hospital that the French Government "permits the Church in France to fulfill its own mission with confidence and serenity, and to take an ever more active role in the life of society, respecting the competencies of each." John Paul II said thus on the 100th anniversary of the separation of Church and State about a once thoroughly Catholic country - the eldest daughter of the Church, Our Lady's beloved France. Two years after France sold out, Tom documents what the holy St. Pius X asserted in his 1907 encyclical to the French Bishops Une Fois Encore. His Holiness' words are the inevitable condemnation of John Paul's actions and words in his most recent praising of secularism. Tom also adds the words of the holy Patron of France St. Louis IX as well as Pope Leo XIII. It was obvious that John Paul II had embraced the state with his statement last summer in France on his trip to Lourdes. He met with Jacques Chirac and proclaimed the Masonic cry of the French Revolution, "Liberty, Equality and Fraternity" in the great brotherhood of man. Tom relates the hard truth of the deception in his most recent column Forgotten Popes, Redefined Doctrines

We strongly encourage you to read these to understand how today the modern church is in Apostasy when compared to what had always been taught by Holy Mother Church and enforced and warned as most grievous by previous Pontiffs as you'll see in CREDO & CULTURE

With the beginning of Lent, we don't need to tell you that Our Lord sheds tears because so many souls still do not know the Truth. Because of that the light of Tradition grows dimmer as the weather patterns and natural disasters grow stronger. With your donations to The Daily Catholic and Our Lady's intercession, you can help to save souls, brighten the path to Tradition, and dry a tear or two from Jesus' holy face, lest those of you, who have the Truth and have been blessed with the means to help, might have to try to explain your selfishness at your Particular Judgment. Think and pray over it as we ask you to remember this apostolate for charitable giving during this time when the dollar is stretched tight with donations to help the victims of the Tsunami, which must take priority. But if you have anything left over, we greatly appreciate any donation you can make for almsgiving is one of the practices for Lent. We count on the generosity of our readers to keep up the integrity of this publication and keep it free of all advertising and banners in providing our readers worldwide with the foundations for the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church. If you can give of your love and bounty we would be most grateful.

Dr. Droleskey's book G.I.R.M. Warfare has just been released this week. In it, he provides a paragraph by paragraph analysis of the 1997 General Instruction to the Roman Missal. This was first published originally between March of 2001 and June of 2003 in Christ or Chaos and also ran sequentially as "The Germs of G.I.R.M. here. It has now been revised somewhat and expanded to include articles relevant to the necessity of restoring the Traditional Latin Mass, G.I.R.M. Warfare is the perfect gift to give to your friends and relatives who think nothing is wrong with the Novus Ordo or that the "next document" from Rome will solve the problems of liturgical abuses that have their origin in the Novus Ordo Missae itself. Give them the ideal gift to bring them back home to the True Faith. To order G.I.R.M. Warfare, make out your check or money order to Chartres Communications for $24. per book ($21.00 for the book, $3.00 for shipping and handling) to: Chartres Communications, Post Office Box 188, Pine Island, New York 10969.

When it comes to all these ungodly laws being passed by liberal judges because of the lobbying and intimidation of a small minority out to do away with the natural and supernatural order, it is wise to keep in mind the following:

"Unjust laws are, properly speaking, NO LAWS!"
His Eminence Saint Robert Bellarmine, Doctor of the Church
