It was far from the mind of Christ to found a Church as a society which would continue on earth for a long course of centuries. On the contrary, in the mind of Christ the kingdom of Heaven together with the end of the world was about to come immediately.
Again, the Modernists seem to think they know the "mind of Christ" in that Jesus never intended the Church He founded upon the Rock of Peter to be "a society which would continue on earth for a long course of centuries." Actually, He established it not just for a "long course of centuries" but "even to the consummation of the world" (St. Matthew 28: 20). Not only did He promise such but in the same verse promised He would be with His "society" - His very Church - at all times. However, that puts a crimp in Modernists' plans so they reach into their bag of tricks and pull out the asinine assumption that our Lord really was saying "the end of the world was about to come immediately." Of course, what these dunceheads forget to take into account is that God's time is not our time, that, are you listening, all ye Modernists lurking out there? - we cannot know the mind of God! That simple truth is why Faith is so important to man. Without faith one is lost, without the true Faith (which means all de-conciliarization of things Catholic) one is truly lost. But the lost seem to find a way to keep company with others who think they know more than God and thus today you have well over 35,000 sects in this world when there really is only one faith, one Church outside of which there is no salvation!
