 The Church has shown that she is hostile to the progress of the natural and theological sciences.
Note those who claim that "the Church is hostile to the progress of the natural and theological sciences" are hostile toward the Church. It never fails. They are hostile toward not only the Church, but toward Jesus Christ for they want to follow their own agenda and ignore the mandate the Lord gave both on Sinai and again in the Gospels. They want it their way and the best way to do that is to demean and alienate the one institution that stands for absolute truth for, as Bishop Donald Sanborn has said, "the Gospel irritates the Empire of Satan." And those who embrace "the progress of the natural and theological sciences" are evolutionists who, by their very nature, are Modernists and ergo, heretics. Heretics never want to hear the truth. Those who find hatred under every stone are the real hate-mongers. They believe that truth can change. One offender of this is none other than a certain Father Joseph Ratzinger who wrote in The Principles of Catholic Theology in 1981 that "The truth is whatever serves progress, that is whatever serves the logic of history." Yeah, he said it and, to this day, has not repented or recanted those words. Notice the very word His Holiness Pope Saint Pius X used, "progress", is the very same word Ratzinger trips himself up on in one of many ways of exposing himself as a Modernist. By the standards and measures established by the infallible, perennial Magisterium of the Church through her previous reliable Popes, particularly His Holiness Pope Paul IV's Papal Bull on faith and morals, Cum Ex Apostolatus Officio, one who expresses heresy even one iota before they would be appointed or elected, said elevation and authority is NULL AND VOID, for a heretic cannot be a Pope. The First Vatican Council infallibly decreed in Session 3, Canon 4 in matters of Faith and Reason, "If anyone shall have said that it is possible that to the dogmas declared by the Church a meaning must be attributed according to the progress of science, different from that which the Church has understood and understands, let him be anathema." (See immediately below.) End of discussion despite what the "Resist-and-Recognize" fence sitters may think, you cannot have one representing the Mystical Bride of Christ spewing error for it would contradict all that Christ established and promised. He is still with His Church, but that Church is in the tomb, the catacombs, and will rise again once those who "promote the progress of the natural and theological sciences" are driven from their perches. If you thought they were full of hate now, wait until they're in the total control of the father of hate! And speaking of hostile, have you ever noticed that the only entity the potentates and presbyters of the counterfeit church of conciliarism are hostile to are those who cling to the true Faith. That means they are hostile to the true Church as Modernists are wont to be. By their own actions and words they expose themselves as the real hate-mongers of Absolute Truth.
