It was far from the mind of Christ to found a Church as a society which would continue on earth for a long course of centuries. On the contrary, in the mind of Christ the kingdom of Heaven together with the end of the world was about to come immediately.
Don't you just love these maniacal Modernists who tell you what "the mind of Christ" is especially when it is the farthest thing from the truth? That's exactly what they are doing here in trying to program those ignorant of dogma, doctrine and basic Gospel facts that the Son of God misled His Apostles and disciples by telling them the "consummation of the world" was coming quickly. They do so by misinterpreting the Scriptures such as Christ's words "This generation shall not pass away until..." and totall miss our Lord's meaning. But then they really don't want to understand Christ's meaning or His mind for that would mean they would have to suppress their own pride and submit to the Authority Christ established upon the Rock of Peter (cf. St. Matthew 16: 18-19). You know from their modus operandi that they will never do that no matter how much we pray for their conversion. That is how deadly the sin of pride is and the very achilles heel that took lucifer down. As usual the Modernists provide not a shred of proof that "in the mind of Christ the kingdom of Heaven together with the end of the world was about to come immediately." They have no explanation that of all the institutions that were ever formed, only one - the One, True, Catholic and Apostolic Church founded by Christ - still stands. This galls them something fierce and so they become even more desperate in their claims to debunk Christian truth, doing all they can to discredit His Church. Sadly there are people out there who buy the claptrap these Modernists spew out because they have not prepared properly to discern the wheat from the chaff.
