There is nothing to prove that the rite of the Sacrament of Confirmation was employed by the Apostles. The formal distinction of the two Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation does not pertain to the history of primitive Christianity.
NOTHING TO PROVE? Are these Modernist wahoos serious? What would you call Pentecost Sunday? Hello? Is not the Sacrament of Confirmation that sacrament "through which the Holy Ghost comes upon us in a special way and enables us to profess our faith as strong and perfect Christians and soldiers of Christ"? Of course it is. And did not the Spirit, the very same Holy Ghost Whom Christ had promised to His Apostles, yes, Apostles, descend upon them in a special way on that Pentecost Sunday and not only enable them to profess their faith ever stronger as perfect Christians, but to proselytize (yes, VaticantwoArians, out there: PROSELYTIZE) the faith by preaching the Gospel and all that Christ had handed down through TRADITION? Were not the Apostles the same who took our Lord's words in St. Matthew 28: 20 and St. Mark 16: 15-16 and St. John 21: 15-17 seriously, even to traveling under extreme difficult conditions and to climes never before heard of, and to die for Christ and the Church He had established? If not, then the supposition of this 44th Error might have some merit for discussion, but since this error is so blatantly dishonest and dares to say that it does not pertain to the history of Christianity, it's pure rubbish. What is the history of Christianity but the undaunted perseverance of the Apostles and their disciples whom they converted through Baptism and conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation separately on those who were old enough to comprehend the teachings of Christ and His Church!?! Were it not for the Apostles and those disciples there would be NO history of Christianity. But, what Modernists refuse to accept and recognize, is that if something is of God nothing can stop it. Oh, satan tried. Pagan Rome's terrible persecutions, the savage tribes who put many Apostles and their disciples to death, the Scourge of God known as Atila the Hun who ravaged Eastern Europe to the gates of Rome early in the Fifth Century, not to mention the devastating Arian Heresy. Right, Confirmation had nothing to do with giving those noble bloodied martyrs and dry martyrs the strength to persevere...even though it is recorded in the history of Christianity. We haven't even touched on the Infidels of the false prophet Mohammed, or the Eastern Schism or the Protestant Revolt, or the French Revolution, or...well, you get the picture. Without the grace of Confirmation as a separate sacrament do you really think any of these times in history that the Church would have emerged triumphant? She and her children needed the Sacramental graces of Confirmation in order to strengthen them as uncompromising soldiers of Christ. While even today's Modernists within the counterfeit church of conciliarism will not admit to such an error, they seek to alter the sacrament, taking away the term "soldiers of Christ" and do not emphasize taking a saint's name at Confirmation. Just as Giovanni Montini changed the divinely-ordained Sacraments of the Holy Eucharist, Holy Orders and Extreme Unction, so also he altered the Sacrament of Confirmation. No wonder today we no longer have the persevering uncompromising Church Militant in most sectors, but rather the Church Milqetoast, ready to cave on anything that will take effor of curry a frown from non-Catholic unbelievers. We must please man is their cry from the time Angelo Roncalli called for an opening to the world in 1959, in other words throw the gates wide open for the evil one through aggiornamento to when Montini formally abdicated any authority he might have visibly held when he bowed to the pagan satanic United Nations in 1964 to Karol Wojtyla's countless times he empowered unbelievers to make them feel better while apologizing for Catholic actions that were necessary to preserve and defend the Sacred Deposit of Faith such as the Crusades, the Inquisition, the Index, etc. to Joseph Ratzinger's liberal agenda that has become even more liberal but society has been so dumbed-down and sedated in sin that they call him a conservative, albeit, horrors, a "traditional 'pope.' Anyone who has an ounce of Traditional Catholicism in their veins can tell you what a faux pas that is. This series is intended to highlight each error and identify the offenders. As for examples, just watch what comes out of the Modern Vatican on a daily basis and you have all the proof you need without even having to wade through the bafflegab ambiguity of V2 Documents and tomes of Wojtyla and Ratzinger. There is a phrase that applies to those who subscribe to even one iota of these listed errors, a phrase heard at the end of every Council until that ill-fated one that convened on October 11, 1962. What was that phrase? "Let them be anathema. A thousand times anathema!" That's a word you know you won't hear in today's counterfeit church of conciliarism that is based on the Mein Kampf of Modernism.
