The practice of administering Baptism to infants was a disciplinary evolution, which became one of the causes why the Sacrament was divided into two, namely, Baptism and Penance.
Whoo, that's a new one. But then what won't these Modernists stop at in conjuring up misinformation to sow doubt, division and dissension? "Disciplinary evolution"? Ah, you see that word "evolution" again. Modernists love that for it justifies their heretical claim that truth changes. We have that very heresy spouted by Father Joseph Ratzinger at Truth or Fiction as documented by Simon Galloway in his book No Crisis in the Church. Another trick of the mad Modernists is to, without any verification, throw in the supposition of something historically falsely posing as if it is a fact. We saw how that was exploited by Dan Brown in his blasphemous The Da Vinci Code. So also we can see how it was exploited in the very heretical documents of Vatican II and subsequent documents and pronouncements from those who have eclipsed the Church with their dark shadows of lies and larceny. But the truth can never be hidden and it is left to those willing to stand up for the Truth to shout it from the rooftops. This site is such a rooftop in which we shout, "Beware of the Beast, Beware of the conciliar charlatans!" Proof of their chicanery can be found throughout these pages and in this series which we will continue in a countdown mode, wrapping it up with the 64th Error on September 7, the eve of the 100th Anniversary of Pope St. Pius X's issuing his landmark encyclical Pascendi Dominici Gregis.
But back to Error #43 for today's issue regarding the splitting of two sacraments. What revisionism! If it were true that the Sacrament of Penance evolved from the Sacrament of Baptism then how do they explain Christ's words to His Apostles on the evening of His Resurrection when He said, "As the Father hath sent Me, I also send you.: When He had said this, He breathed on them, and He said to them, "Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them, and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained" (St. John 20: 21-23)or when our Lord personally promised St. Peter the right to forgive sins as He asserted and established in St. Matthew 16: 19, "And I will give thee the Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven; and whatever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven, and whatever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven"? Evidently Christ's infrangible words mean nothing to the Modernists. Therefore, you can recognize the Modernists so easily. How? They don't sound Catholic. There is no similarity whatsoever between what previous strong and holy Popes wrote without ambiguity and the skimble-skamble bafflegab of conciliar charlatans who spout so many lies they can't remember what they said and constantly have to publish explanations of the explanation of yet more ambiguous statements. Sound familiar, Joseph Ratzinger? Get thee to a monastery and repent, Father, or your place in hell will be deeper than the others. We say that because our Lord in effect said such in St. Matthew 18: 7-10. Take heed, you who would deceive the masses with your trickery. Christ had another phrase in St. Matthew 4: 10: Vade, Satanas!
