The Sacraments have their origin in the fact that the Apostles and their successors, swayed and moved by circumstances and events, interpreted some idea and intention of Christ.
In the same vein as above, you can see the Protestant influence on conciliarism and how Modernists perpetuate such heresies as His Holiness St. Pius X warned. Again, it's the old canard, blame it on the Apostles. They changed everything. This way, on the surface and to the unsuspecting, gullible mind, the Modernist can not openly cast aspersions on the Son of God and His intentions...yet. But rather the Modernist uses the tactics of sowing doubts that once our Lord was gone (and to the Modernists that doesn't necessarily mean risen and ascended, but stolen away from the tomb by, who else, the Apostles. Oh, to the Modernists, they are the culprits, the fall guys) then the Apostles and the Disciples changed the story and even dared to "interpret some idea and intention of Christ" as if they didn't know Him and the message He conveyed so clearly. That excuse might have worked while they were still stumbling and fumbling around following Him for only one Apostle stood by Him in His darkest hour and yet for us the finest hour. That would be St. John the Beloved Disciple who alone was spared martyrdom, and yet still suffered many crosses himself. Those apostles before Christ's death might very well have cowered and been confused at times. But after the descent of the Holy Ghost on Pentecost Sunday, no such rationalization that they falsely "interpreted some idea and intention of Christ" holds water. They were protected from error by the Holy Advocate Who was promised to them by their Lord and Master. They didn't make it up as they went along. They didn't alter their teaching to accommodate man. If so, why would any of them have been willing to be martyred for Christ? You see, the arguments of the Modernists don't hold up under cross examination. Never do! And yet, Modernists like Roncalli, Montini, Wojtyla and Ratzinger have prattled on with their round-about fringes that smack of heresy, but we dare not call it such because they were "visible popes" to the world and you cannot attack a sacred cow who in reality is full of bull, and we're not talking Papal Bulls! What they have, in fact done, is cause grave damage to the Primacy of Peter, lowering it to a political level with traces of spirituality in sound-bites and photo ops that cause scandal to knowing Catholics. Can anyone imagine St. Peter, or St. Leo the Great, or St. Gregory the Great, or St. Gregory VII, or Pope Paul IV or St. Pius V, or Pope Leo XIII or St. Pius X - or, for that matter, any preconciliar Pope and that includes the scallion Alexander VI, cavorting with pagans, condoning false religions with a Judas Kiss of the Koran, bowing in a Mosque, pandering to Pantheists, permitting the Buddha to be placed upon the Holy of Holies, denying the good fruits of Trent, apologizing for the evangelizing of the Faith to the world, kowtowing to Jews in the synagogue of satan, congratulating false idols and idol worshippers such as Hindus, Moslems, Shintos, Buddhists and what not? Never! That alone should tell you in a nutshell that all His Holiness St. Pius X was exhorting in his aggressive campaign against the "synthesis of all heresies" for the protection of souls has been cast to the wind as no longer applicable to the modern mind. Call it rubbish, call it claptrap. Call it what it really is: Anathema! Anathema a million times!
