 The divinity of Jesus Christ is not proved from the Gospels. It is a dogma which the Christian conscience has derived from the notion of the Messias.
You might ask what part of the Gospels someone could deduce that the Gospels do not prove the divinity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? Evidently those who proclaim such errors haven't read the Gospel of St. John which continually focuses on the divinity of Christ - being one with the Father. While this error is espoused more by out and out agnostics and liberal Protestants who will tolerate anything, there has been an undermining of this very truth of His divinity within the conciliar church by the very fact of omission where the local Novus Ordo presider will not talk about Christ as God because he might not want to offend Mr. and Mrs. Cafeteria Catholic in the back row who write out a hefty check and offer him their condo on the beach for two weeks each year. You see, as we've pointed out before that too many today seek to please man and, in doing so, prove themselves not servants of Christ. If Christ is not God, then all was in vain. Might as well pack up the bags and learn what a Barmitzvah is, or practice your Hindu, or visit a Mosque, or...Oh, that's right, where half a century ago no Catholic would dare venture for fear of mortal sin because to worship a false God is a grave violation against the First Commandment, today men posing as popes kiss the Koran, allow Buddha to be placed above the Most Holy of Holies - the Tabernacle at Assisi, bowed to Animists with their snake gods, bowed and prayed in the Islam culture inside a Mosque, pandered, patronized and apologized to the Jews for Catholics being Catholic in Jerusalem and then Germany, and...well, you get the picture. Don't you think if men like Roncalli, Montini, Wojtyla and Ratzinger truly believed that Christ is God, they wouldn't allow any such blasphemy and scandalous sacrileges, let alone participate themselves? Of course, Modernists can't or won't see it that way, and the men previously mentioned have all exhibited blatant acts of Modernism with never a hint of repentance.
