The exegete who constructs premises from which it follows that dogmas are historically false or doubtful is not to be reproved as long as he does not directly deny the dogmas themselves .
That is one of the very errors that the architects of Vatican II and those who have carried the torch of conciliarism, i.e. Modernism, have stretched to the limits one would think. His Holiness Pope Pius XII had reproved those who violated this, censured them, exiled some and condemned others. What happened after his death? We know very well what happened. Angelo Roncalli, a known Sillonist, and therefore excommunicated (latae sententiae, was elected through a legitimate conclave. HOWEVER, because of the preceding, the Church had already ruled on the validity of his ascending the throne of Peter through Pope Paul IV's Papal Bull Cum Ex Apostolatus Officio on Faith and Morals in the event that one in authority, previous to his election, selection, appointment or elevation, deviated from the faith and has not repented and made proper reparation through the canonical channels of discipline, their authority no matter at what level ("even the Sovereign Pontiff himself"), they are to be considered persona non grata, so to speak and hold no authority.
So, holding no authority, Roncalli had no compunction to flood the mainstream with those who freely flaunted the twenty-second error of St. Pius X's Syllabus. We can see only too clearly the results of Roncalli's "aggiornamento". Anathema sit! for sure!
