The dogmas the Church holds out as revealed are not truths which have fallen from Heaven. They are an interpretation of religious facts which the human mind has acquired by laborious effort.
This, as you well know, is an error Protestants and Modernists take and run with in demeaning any dogma and doctrine that does not fit their mindset and lifestyle. However every Catholic should realize that Christ founded but One Church and canonized but one Religion for all time - the Apostolic Catholic Church that was called Christian until the sixteenth century when the Protestants usurped that term and Catholic was used to differentiate the heretics from the true Christians who remained loyal to Christ and Saint Peter's succession. Usurp? Mmmmm, sound familiar? The very same tragedy that occurred in the early 1500's took place on an even more universal scale and yet flew under the radar in the beam of the world's view nearly 500 years later with Vatican II. The very same arguments the Protestants proposed and tried to undermine the dogmas holy Mother Church has always held as revealed truth through divine Revelation, were employed by the Modernists. They went much, much further than Luther or Calvin or Cromwell ever dreamed in their attempt to tear down the patrimony of the Catholic Church by giving credence to interpretation of religious facts and ceding importance to the human mind above God; ergo humanism which leads to ecumenism, syncretism, religious liberty and globalism which equals Modernism, which His Holiness St. Pius X called "the synthesis of all heresies." Indeed, to deny dogmas are revealed truth entrusted to Christ's Church alone is Anathema sit! Beware because there are a ton of people out there who believe the lie and are going along with this specific error St. Pius emphasized. Do we wonder today why he emphasized it? If you do, go back to CREDO & CULTURE to refresh your faith.
