 Heterodox exegetes have expressed the true sense of the Scriptures more faithfully than Catholic exegetes.
His Holiness Pope Saint Pius X was on top of this one for this canard is one brought up by so many Protestants to justify their altered and tinkered with King James Version and any other version that differs from the inspired translation of St. Jerome's Latin Vulgate, the consummate conveyor of the word as inspired by the Holy Ghost in compiling Holy Writ into one grouping that was called the "Bible" more than three centuries after Oral Tradition had already been established. What those who believe the error above won't tell you is that they interpret it according to finite means which will inevitably give you over 34,000 different interpretations which pretty much justifies whatever they want to justify by twisting the words, taking them out of context, thus diluting not only the Word of God, but making all further extrapolations null and void for it was premised on an error to begin with if it did not come from the inspired discernment of the infallible, perennial Magisterium of the Church. Oh, by the way, yes, there are nearly 34,000 different Protestant sects today worldwide. So much for unity! Somebody tell Benedict. On second thought, it won't do much good. He heads up the largest of all the Protestant denominations: the counterfeit conciliar church of Vatican Two!
