THE HIDDEN WAY
INTRODUCTION: Jesus says in Matthew 11: 28,These Lessons/Meditations are a numerical series of 100 instructions given to Cyndi Cain, the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart over the time period of January 6, 1995 to March 1, 1995 (Ash Wednesday). Though there are a few of these Lessons/Meditations from Our Lady, the majority are from Jesus Himself. He asks that these simple messages with deep theological insight be called "THE HIDDEN WAY" for it is in being truly hidden - obedient, humble little ones - that we are lifted up with Him in sharing His Passion and ultimately His glory. He asks that we hide ourselves in His wounds and there meditate upon His Passion and Death, contemplating upon His words in Matthew, "for there is nothing hidden, that shall not be revealed: nor secret that shall not be known" so that through discernment and meditation we can be drawn closer to the Triune Divinity and understand more clearly the role each of us is to play in His Plan of Salvation for ourselves and others. Only by immersing ourselves in Christ can we understand this as the words from the prayer "Anima Christi" - the essence of the salvific nature of Christ's Passion and Death - states: "O Good Jesus, hear me. Within Thy Wounds, hide me...so that hidden in Your Most Sacred Wounds, I may quickly come to great holiness for love of Thee." This is the essence of these special Lessons/Meditations including Lesson/Meditation #73 from Our Lord below.

Lesson/Meditation #73:
I THIRST!
(Imparted on February 3, 1995 to the Hidden Flower by Our Lady)

Feast of Saint Blase and FIRST FRIDAY
Beloved Hidden Flower of My Mother’s Immaculate Heart, Peace! I am with you. I alone am your strength.

Today, I want you to reflect upon My Sacred Passion. During My Passion I said: "I Thirst." This was not just physical thirst, but a much more profound, total spiritual thirst. However, today meditate upon only My physical thirst. There were around Me so many people. All heard My cry. My dear Holy Mother, My beloved apostle John and the Holy Women so desired to give Me to drink—a cool, refreshing taste of water. But the soldiers would not permit them to aid Me. The large crowd, or rather, the rabble, shouted and cursed at Me, screaming out that no drink be given Me, for in them was to be found no Mercy.

One soldier, moved by Mercy yet constrained by the law, dipped a reed in vinegar and wine and placed this acid drink upon My parched, bleeding, swollen lips. It was certainly less than what I needed, but Mercy shone forth in his act and because of his mercy My grace entered his soul.

Now, dear children, place yourself on Calvary. Hear My plea, My cry: "I Thirst."

Will you come to My aid against all odds to give Me but a sip? Or will you scream and rage against Me, your God, and demand that My sufferings be extended even more fully?

Meditate upon this and you will know if Mercy animates your soul, thus propelling your humanity to achieve a corporal work of Mercy.

I love and bless all of My children on this day when My Most Sacred Heart - your Refuge - is honored. Pray for the Reign of My Sacred Heart, dear children. I Come!
