Up, up and away...

Today is the 94th anniversary of the first flight of the Kitty Hawk by those inventive brothers Orville and Wilbur Wright. Since then the world has never been the same and luggage still gets lost! But not lost on all is the fact that way before those Greek aviators Daedulus and Icarus strapped on their wings and flew too close to the sun, angels flew unfettered worshipping and adoring the Son. Today we have flown far from the Son in our modern, busy world, especially during the time of Christmas when we get so wrapped up in temporal affairs that we forget the state of our souls. Cyndi Cain gives us tips on how we can better strap in during the Holidays and experience less turbulence spiritually in her commentary "In preparing for Christmas, take care not to overspend in temporal matters or you could face spiritual bankruptcy!". Beyond the clouds...
Down here on terra firma, as the clouds drift by, we often wonder how it all meshes, why no one discovered the theory of relativity until Einstein and why God has been so patient with His children despite the fact that so many birds have flown the coop. The Blessed Mother's Our Lady's messages over the centuries have always imparted His Love and Mercy, but likewise His Divine Justice which will come. When? We don't know that for sure, but we do know it is closer than it was yesterday and the Mother of God's prognostications are running 100% to date. Why not? She is the "Queen of Prophets who presents a lasting blueprint for conversion", which is the title of the fiftieth installment of our on-going mega-series on Our Lady's appearances through the ages. The view from above
The timeline for all that has come to pass, centered around the birth of the Messiah, is tied in with Divine Revelation and Private Revelation as Wilmott G. Brown illustrates in his work The Significance of Lourdes, Fatima, and Medjugorje as Explained in Scripture with the twenty sixth installment, presenting the final chapter. Click on An Angel's View
Angelic innocence through Reconciliation
That's the beauty of the Sacrament of Penance for God, in His Goodness and Mercy, wipes the slate clean after every worthy confession, declaring us innocent, in the company of angels through the graces bestowed that can only be besmirched by sin. Our Monday-through-Thursday daily feature on capsuled gems from both the new Catechism of the Catholic Church and the still relevant Baltimore Catechism continues with this sacrament, today zeroing in on "The Effects of this Sacrament". The Choir of Angels celebrate the nuptials
They do when the sacrament of matrimony is performed in accordance with the norms and rituals set down by Holy Mother Church. When the ceremony is conducted otherwise, the notes emanating from the angelic harps are flat. To please Heaven and rectify the abuses, the Vatican has passed down an important document on Instructions for curbing abuses by the Laity and Clergy. Today we bring you the nineteenth installment of this 37-page document released a little over a month ago from the Holy See. Click on THE VICAR OF CHRIST SPEAKS
Laughter is the nectar of the Angels
And we hope they'll enjoy the second part of our rib-ticklers on Bulletin Bloopers and not jiggle the clouds too much with their laughs. You can laugh all you want by reading this lighter side during midweek and we hope you do. Click on A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Heaven

St. Joseph, your work has brought barely enough income for you and Mary, and you have made what you can from your carpenter's shop to provide for the care of the Child Jesus. You see that Mary is in good health and you are relieved, yet you, too, desired to provide for her. Help us, St. Joseph, to realize that God is our Father and desires also to provide for us His children, if only we allow Him. By our obedience may we shun the wickedness of the world, all its glitter and false promises, and rely only on our Heavenly Father for our every need.

Medjugorje Monthly Message for November 25th
The Gospa     Dear children: Today I invite you to comprehend your Christian vocation. Little children, I led and am leading you through this time of grace, that you may become conscious of your Christian vocation. Holy martyrs died witnessing: I am a Christian and love God over everything. Little children, today also I invite you to rejoice and be joyful Christians, responsible and conscious that God called you in a special way to be joyfully extended hands toward those who do not believe, and that through the example of your life, they may receive faith and love for God. Therefore, pray, pray, pray that your heart may open and be sensitive for the Word of God. Thank you for having responded to my call!

Pope pulls no punches in welcoming new U.S. Ambassador
On the day of the 224th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party where the colonists protested high taxes, the Holy Father protested personally to the new Louisiana ambassador to the Vatican Lindy Boggs in the Pope's own Vatican "tea party" that America needs to pay its fair share in sharing with the less fortunate as well as cease abortion. Castro makes it official to the Bishops: "Let's get together!"
Putting on his best face under a graying beard, Cuban dictator Fidel Castro held out the olive branch to all Cuban bishops in requesting a meeting with them later this month in anticipation of the Holy Father's visit next month which Castro wants to be the best. This goal also prompted him to officially declare that Christmas would be celebrated as a national Holiday this year. Click on Castro concedes to read more.

Cheeseheads can now cheer with Packer green rosaries as they kill two birds with one stone: Praying and Cheering!
The latest craze in Wisconsin, introduced by a group of nuns, is the Packer Rosary, complete with football-shaped beads and the letters "GO PACKERS" on each decade. The unique rosaries have given new meaning to the "Hail Mary" pass and the good sisters cannot keep these popular beads in stock as their beloved team strives for the Super Bowl. No comment yet from the ordinary of the diocese of Green Bay. Click on Hail Mary to read more.

Praying with the Angels in anticipation of His Coming
The Liturgy of the Day provides an excellent opportunity for all to join the angels in prayer and preparation for the glorious solemnity of Christ's birth. The nine day novena leading up to Christmas is in its second day with the second prayer: SECOND DAY OF CHRISTMAS NOVENA: "O Wisdom that comest out of the mouth of the Most High, that reachest from one end to another, and orderest all things mightily and sweetly, come to teach us the way of prudence!" (Add an Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be) For today's Liturgy for Late Advent, click on LITURGY OF THE DAY

"Toil not to gain wealth, cease to be concerned about it; while your glance flits to it, it is gone! For assuredly it grows wings, like the eagle that flies toward Heaven."
