  • Auschwitz revisited: Planned Parenthood!

Today Dr. Frank Joseph pulls no punches in telling it like it truly is. Today he elaborates on the insidious campaign by Planned Parenthood to promote the selling of body parts as a "business" which has nothing to do with abortion. But, in truth, it feeds on the abortion mills for where can it obtain baby parts if not from the butchers who work in the abortuaries? He examines the piece done on ABC's 20/20 a few weeks ago that brought this horrendous to the forefront. Yet, Dr. Joseph decries the fact they didn't go far enough in their expose of these merchants of the culture of death. He picks up where ABC left off. For his column Baby Body Parts and Planned Parenthood , see Pro-Life Prescriptions: LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!

Baby Body Parts and Planned Parenthood

It seems that when you think you've heard it all -- something else comes along that shocks every fiber in your body. Not only has our country killed 37 million unborn babies since Roe Vs Wade, but now, these same babies are being dismembered and their body parts are sold to the highest bidder.

Life Dynamics Inc. -- a pro-life group based in Texas, exposed this body-parts industry as the result of undercover work by lab technicians. They spent almost three years investigating and researching this issue, and arguably know more about it than anyone else in the country. Their effort was the subject of the 20/20 TV show on ABC, shown on March 8. The show was a far cry from what it should have been. For some reason, they didn't show the bags of eyes, arms, legs, brains and other organs, which were supplied to them. ABC claimed, they didn't want to shock the public. Instead, they showed scientists working with little pieces of tissues in petri dishes.

The show was at 10:00 PM. I've seen more violence on ABC shows that are shown earlier in the day, when children are watching. TV shows in which every one of the Ten Commandments are broken don't phase them. We've seen movies depicting gruesome scenes about the Holocaust. They show movies in which people are dismembered and have their heads blown off. We've seen real live murder on TV. So please ABC, don't insult our intelligence. You just didn't want to connect Planned Parenthood and the other death camps to these sadistic and vile acts.

ABC, owned by Disney is the most liberal of all the networks. Disney has been boycotted many times for their backing of TV shows and movies that shock and revolt Christians.

If they didn't want to show the brains, extremities and other organs, they could at least, have described them. They seemed more concerned that if a mother has her unborn baby killed, nobody had the right to dismember her baby and sell the body parts to the highest bidder, since she did not give her permission.

As if it would be just fine if the mother gave her permission. As a matter of fact they interviewed one of the mothers who had her baby killed and she was horrified that they would chop her baby up and sell the body parts. If only she would have been horrified, at the thought of giving permission to have her baby killed in the first place.

An eight-week-old baby brain goes for $999. A baby's eyes for $75, liver for $150, gonads for $550. In addition to a body-parts price list that can turn one's stomach, the undercover investigators turned up page after page of orders from prominent research universities and pharmaceutical companies. Even the federal government's own National Institutes of Health has been ordering baby body parts.

The order forms specify which body parts the researchers desire. Here are some direct quotes: "Whole Eyes, 13-20 wks," "Brain, 8-24 weeks," "whole intact Leg, include ENTIRE HIP JOINT, 22-23(-) weeks gestation. Age of fetus must be determined and noted ... indicate foot pad measurement." "Note Age, Race, Sex."

Most order forms come with specific directions, e.g., "Dissect lungs intact from 17 to 24 week fetal cadaver." "Dissect by cutting through symphysis pubis and include WHOLE Ilium. To be removed from fetal cadaver within 10 minutes."

When an order calls for fetal tissue retrieval to be completed within 10 minutes, a live birth is highly likely. When an order stipulates something like "no anomalies" or "no congenital abnormalities,"those abortions are probably being done on healthy late-term babies. The order forms also include specific shipping instructions. "Ship on fresh wet ice. Next day." "Ship on dry ice." "Ship next day. Federal Express."

The buyers and sellers of these parts obviously don't believe that aborted babies are just "blobs of tissue." We wonder if the mothers would go ahead with their abortions if they knew that others were cutting up and selling their babies.

One of Bill Clinton's first executive orders in 1993 lifted the ban on federal funding for so called "fetal tissue research" that involved using the organs and tissue obtained from aborted babies. Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) and Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA) then codified this executive order by shepherding through the then- Democratic Congress the National Institutes of Health Revitalization Act (Public Law 103-43), which Clinton signed on June 10, 1993.

Evil feeds on evil. We legalized these killings on demand -- 1.4 million of God's most precious creations are killed every year, even while they're being born and suffer excruciating pain in the process. So, why be surprised that this is happening?

Gloria Feldt of Planned Parenthood, the leading killers of babies in the USA, was pious in her condemnation of the baby parts traders, even though the killings in the 20/20 show were done at Planned Parenthood facilities. Planned Parenthood is responsible for the national network that supports the trafficking of baby body parts. Ms. Feldt's display of indignation and horror on 20/20 was deserving of an Oscar.

Lying comes easy for these people. What's a lie compared to the wholesale killing of unborn, and 3/4 born babies. Planned Parenthood Federation of America - sounds good, doesn't it? Why, they exist to actually help people to plan a family -- very commendable. The very name oozes benevolence. I'm surprised they didn't put the name of a Saint in front of it.

But, their name is a misnomer-- it is a lie. They do NOT plan parenting. To plan parenting -- the prime requisites are parents and children. When babies are killed, you have neither parents nor children. And why are unborn babies killed? They are killed BECAUSE OF Planned Parenthood.

One has to ask -- who are theses people, that they would flagrantly misrepresent their killing agenda with sugar coated words like Planned Parenthood? But sugar coating their killing agenda is nothing new for them. They don't even have the "guts" to use the word abortion anymore, because everyone knows, it means to kill an unborn baby. Now, their sugar coating of death has resulted in the euphemism, "the right to choose."

One of the great mysteries of our time is -- how in the world did we let them get as far as they did?Lies and euphemisms are the hallmark of Planned Parenthood. They exist for one reason only and that is to get as many women to have their unborn babies killed, as they possibly can. There is NO planning -- it is CUT AND DRY.

And now, they have branched out into the trafficking of baby parts. Quite a benevolent group, aren't they? Not only do they not PLAN on telling women about to have an abortion, the physical and mental complications of this horrendous deed, but they won't even tell women, that induced abortions increases their risk of getting breast cancer. Their attitude seems to be -- better for women to die of breast cancer, than take a chance on the public's reaction to the truth. Thousands of women die every year, because they were not told of this risk. It IS America's best kept secret.

It's only a matter of time before our courts are flooded with law suits against the abortion mills for not informing women of this vital information before they have their baby killed. I will not be surprised that when the above comes to fruition, and it will -- that the abortion mills will start paying women off, rather than going to court. Because in a courtroom they wouldn't have a leg to stand on. The truth will all come out. The evidence is overwhelming. The American Cancer Society has even admitted to one aspect of the link, but will NOT tell the public. 10 of 11 studies done in the USA show the link as well as lab tests. For more details, click Abortions - The Truth

The truth of the matter is that no one -- not 20/20, not The American Cancer Society and not the Clinton/Gore administration, will do anything to harm the multimillion dollar abortion industry.

At least by focusing on and condemning those who profit from the sale of baby body parts, 20/20 turned a national spotlight on this barbaric practice. The story may not have been all that we wanted, but it's better than nothing. 20/20's focus on the money trail is like pointing out that smoke from the ovens at Auschwitz violated Germany's Clean Air Act.

Our once Godly country, now, thanks to the liberal Democrats, has its own Auschwitz -- PLANNED PARENTHOOD. The result is that the viewer was left with the false impression that Planned Parenthood was outraged at these practices rather than a participant in them.

The people involved in the trafficking of baby parts were constantly referred to by the narrator as "businessmen" instead of by some more accurate description which would identify them as being part of the abortion industry. This was done despite the fact that Life Dynamics, provided documentation to 20/20 proving that all the people involved had links with both Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation.

It was clear that 20/20 wanted the viewer to perceive that this was not something which occurred within the abortion industry, but that some evil profit-driven outsiders had infiltrated and taken advantage of the abortion industry. It was as if 20/20 was trying to portray the abortion industry as an unwitting victim of the baby parts business.

There was never any mention of the researchers, pharmaceutical companies and universities who buy baby parts. I just don't know what it takes before the American people say, "enough is enough!"

One thing that I do know -- if Al Gore is elected president, satan will continue to win, because Gore, as Clinton did, will veto the ban on partial-birth murders thus ensuring that the prized older baby body parts will be in abundance, which translates into more money for Planned Parenthood and all the other death camps.

Holy Father salutes Jordan as the gateway between Old and New Testament

Today we bring you the Holy Father's homily from his first Papal Mass in the Holyland at the downtown athletic stadium in Amman, Jordan yesterday morning. The Pope took the opportunity to speak of the biblical impact of this land as the gateway between the Old and the New Testament, especially the coming of the Baptist who prepared the people for One Whose sandals he was not worthy to carry. His Holiness emphasized the theme of "One crying out in the wilderness - make straight the way of the Lord." See THE VICAR OF CHRIST SPEAKS

Pope John Paul II's Homily during Mass in the Amman Stadium on March 21st
"A voice cries out: In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord! Make straight in the desert a highway for our God!" (Isaiah 40:3).

      Your Beatitude,
      Brother Bishops and Priests,
      Brothers and Sisters,

      1. The words of the Prophet Isaiah, which the Evangelist applies to John the Baptist, remind us of the path which God has traced through time in his desire to teach and save his people. Today, as part of my Jubilee Pilgrimage to pray in some of the places connected with God’s saving interventions, Divine Providence has brought me to Jordan. I greet His Beatitude Michel Sabbah and thank him for his kind words of welcome. I cordially embrace the Greek Melkite Exarch Georges El-Murr and all the members of the Assembly of the Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land, as well as the representatives of the other Churches and Ecclesial Communities. I am grateful to the civil authorities who have wished to honour our celebration with their presence.

The Successor of Peter is a pilgrim in this land blessed by the presence of Moses and Elijah, where Jesus himself taught and worked miracles (cf. Mk 10:1; Jn 10:40-42), where the early Church bore witness in the lives of many saints and martyrs. In this year of the Great Jubilee the whole Church, and especially today the Christian community of Jordan, are spiritually united in a pilgrimage to the origins of our faith, a pilgrimage of conversion and penance, of reconciliation and peace.

We look for a guide to show us the way. And there comes to meet us the figure of John the Baptist, a voice that cries in the wilderness (cf. Lk 3:4). He will set us on the road that we must take if our eyes are to “see the salvation of God” (Lk 3:6). Guided by him, we make our journey of faith in order to see more clearly the salvation which God has accomplished through a history stretching back to Abraham. John the Baptist was the last of the line of Prophets who kept alive and nurtured the hope of God’s People. In him the time of fulfilment was at hand.

      2. The seed of this hope was the promise made to Abraham when he was called to leave all that was familiar and follow a God he had not known (cf. Gen 12:1-3). Despite his wealth, Abraham was a man living in the shadow of death, for he had no son or land of his own (cf. Gen 15:2). The promise seemed a vain one, for Sarah was barren and the land was in other hands. But still Abraham put his faith in God; “he believed, hoping against hope” (Rom 4:18).

However impossible it seemed, Isaac was born to Sarah, and Abraham received a land. And through Abraham and his descendants the promise became a blessing to “all the families of the earth” (Gen 12:3; 18:18).

      3. That promise was sealed when God spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai. What passed between Moses and God on the holy mountain shaped the subsequent history of salvation as a Covenant of love between God and man – a Covenant which demands obedience but promises liberation. The Ten Commandments etched in stone on Sinai – but written on the human heart from the beginning of creation – are the divine pedagogy of love, indicating the only sure path to the fulfilment of our deepest longing: the human spirit’s irrepressible search for goodness, truth and harmony.

For forty years the people wandered until they arrived in this land. Moses, “whom the Lord knew face to face” (Dt 34:10) would die on Mount Nebo and be buried “in the valley of the land of Moab . . . though no one knows the place of his burial to this day” (Dt 34:5-6). But the Covenant and the Law he received from God live on for ever.

From time to time the Prophets had to defend the Law and the Covenant against those who set human rules and regulations above God’s will, and therefore imposed a new slavery upon the people (cf. Mk 6:17-18). The city of Amman itself – Rabbah in the Old Testament – recalls the sin of King David in causing the death of Uriah and taking his wife Bathsheba, for it was here that Uriah fell (2 Sam 11:1-17). “They will fight against you”, God says to Jeremiah in the First Reading we have listened to today, “but they will not prevail against you, for I am with you . . . to deliver you” (Jer 1:19). For denouncing failures to keep the Covenant, there were Prophets, including the Baptist, who paid with their blood. But because of the divine promise – “I am with you . . . to deliver you” – they stood firm as “a fortified city, an iron pillar and bronze walls” (Jer 1:18), proclaiming the Law of life and salvation, the love which never fails.

      4. In the fullness of time, at the River Jordan John the Baptist points to Jesus, the one upon whom the Holy Spirit descends like a dove (cf. Lk 3:22), the one who baptizes not with water but “with the Holy Spirit and with fire” (Lk 3:16). The heavens are opened and we hear the Father’s voice: “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased” (Mt 3:17). In him, the Son of God, the promise made to Abraham and the Law given to Moses are fulfilled.

Jesus is the realization of the promise. His death on the Cross and his Resurrection lead to the definitive victory of life over death. Through the Resurrection the gates of Paradise are thrown open, and we may walk once again in the Garden of Life. In the Risen Christ we obtain “the mercy promised to our fathers, to Abraham and his children for ever” (Lk 1:54-55).

Jesus is the fulfilment of the Law. The Risen Christ alone reveals the full meaning of all that happened at the Red Sea and Mount Sinai. He reveals the true nature of the Promised Land, where “death shall be no more” (Rev 21:4). Because he is “the firstborn from the dead” (Col 1:18), the Risen Lord is the goal of all our journeying: “the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end” (Rev 22:13).

      5. During the last five years, the Church in this region has been celebrating the Pastoral Synod of the Churches in the Holy Land. All the Catholic Churches together have walked with Jesus and heard his call anew, setting out the path ahead in a General Pastoral Plan. At this solemn Liturgy I gladly receive the fruits of the Synod as a sign of your renewed faith and generous commitment. The Synod has involved a deeply felt experience of communion with the Lord, and also of intense ecclesial communion, like the disciples gathered around the Apostles at the Church’s birth (cf. Acts 2:42; 4:32). The Synod has made clear that your future lies in unity and solidarity. I pray today, and I invite the whole Church to pray with me, that the Synod’s work will bring a strengthening of the bonds of fellowship and cooperation between the local Catholic communities in all their rich variety, between all the Christian Churches and Ecclesial Communities, and between Christians and the other great religions which flourish here. May the resources of the Church – the families, parishes, schools, lay associations, youth movements – set unity and love as their supreme goal. There is no more effective way to be involved socially, professionally and politically, above all in the work of justice, reconciliation and peace, which is what the Synod called for.

To the Bishops and priests, I say: Be good shepherds according to the Heart of Christ! Guide the flock entrusted to you along the path that leads to the green pastures of his Kingdom! Strengthen the pastoral life of your communities through a new and more dynamic collaboration with the religious and laity. Amid the difficulties of your ministry, put your trust in the Lord. Grow closer to him in prayer, and he will be your light and joy. The whole Church thanks you for your dedication and for the mission of faith you carry out in your dioceses and parishes.

To the Religious women and men, I express the Church’s immense gratitude for your witness to the supremacy of God in all things! Continue to shine forth as beacons of the evangelical love which overcomes all barriers! To the laity I say: Do not be afraid to take your proper place and responsibility in the Church! Be brave witnesses to the Gospel in your families and in society!

On this Mother’s Day in Jordan, I congratulate the mothers present here, and invite all mothers to be builders of a new civilization of love. Love your families. Teach them the dignity of all life; teach them the ways of harmony and peace; teach them the value of faith and prayer and goodness! Dear young people, the path of life is opening up before you. Build your future on the solid foundation of God’s love, and remain ever united in Christ’s Church! Help to transform the world around you, by giving the best of yourselves in the service of others and of your country.

And to the children making their First Holy Communion, I say: Jesus is your best friend; he knows what is in your hearts. Stay close to him, and in your prayers remember the Church and the Pope.

      6. In this year of the Great Jubilee, the whole pilgrim people of God returns in spirit to the places connected with the history of our salvation. After following in the footsteps of Abraham and Moses, our pilgrimage has now reached the lands where our Saviour Jesus Christ lived and travelled during his earthly life. “In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets; but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son” (Heb 1:1-2). In the Son all the promises were fulfilled. He is the Redemptor Hominis, the Redeemer of man, the hope of the world! Keeping all this before you, let the whole Christian community of Jordan be ever more steadfast in faith and generous in works of loving service.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, guide and protect you on the way! Amen.

In the Gospel of Saint Luke we read that “the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness; and he went into all the region about the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins” (3:2-3). Here, at the River Jordan, where both banks are visited by hosts of pilgrims honouring the Baptism of the Lord, I too lift up my heart in prayer:

Glory to you, O Father, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!

You sent your servants the Prophets to speak your word of faithful love and call your people to repentance.

On the banks of the River Jordan, you raised up John the Baptist, a voice crying in the wilderness, sent through all the region of the Jordan to prepare the way of the Lord, to herald the coming of Jesus.

Glory to you, O Christ, Son of God! To the waters of the Jordan you came to be baptized by the hand of John.

Upon you the Spirit descended as a dove.

Above you the Heavens opened, and the voice of the Father was heard: "This is my Son, the Beloved!"

From the river blessed by your presence you went forth to baptize not only with water but with fire and the Holy Spirit.

Glory to you, O Holy Spirit, Lord and Giver of life! By your power, the Church is baptized, going down with Christ into death and rising with him to new life.

By your power, we are set free from sin to become the children of God, the glorious Body of Christ.

By your power, all fear is vanquished, and the Gospel of love is preached in every corner of the earth, to the glory of God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, to whom be all praise in this Jubilee year and in every age to come. Amen.

Calling God, is the Doctor in?    They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the words of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen have been known to launch a thousand images in one's mind, one of the ways this late luminary did so much to evangelize the faith. Because of the urgency of the times and because few there are today who possess the wisdom, simplicity and insight than the late Archbishop who touched millions, we are bringing you daily gems from his writings. The good bishop makes it so simple that we have dubbed this daily series: "SIMPLY SHEEN".

"It takes a brave man to look into the mirror of his own soul to see written there the disfigurements caused by his own misbehavior. It is no truism to say men must be men, not atoms in a mass. Once man sees his self-inflicted wounds, the next step is to take them to the Divine Physician to be cured."
