Love is the heart of the Theological Virtues

Today we continue our segment on the Theological virtues, focusing on the first part of our series on Charity, the third of the virtues and what Love means and the virtue honored in this Year of God the Father. For love to be true it has to be a two way street. Yet for many it's only one direction - God gives and we take. It spite of this, God continues to give because of this special virtue, the heart of the Theological Virtues for Jesus has commanded us to love one another in Matthew 22: 39. The Forty-Second Clarion:

THE THEOLOGICAL VIRTUE OF LOVE
part one

"So there abide faith hope and charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity (love)."

1 Corinthians 13:13.

"Return love for Love and recognize satan's plot to take Me from you."

It is fitting that Message #369 from Our Lord on the feast of another Thomas - the Apostle - coincides with the Feast of Saint Thomas Aquinas, one of the most dedicated saints to adoration and praise of God and on the day we begin our segments on the Theological Virtue of Love. In the message conveyed on July 3, 1993 to the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart, Jesus reinforces the importance of adoring Him in the Blessed Sacrament and the great graces of Love and Mercy He bestows on all those who spend time with Him there, who abide by His Will. His Blessed Mother Mary reaffirms her Divine Son's love, emphasizing the importance of the Theological Virtue of Love in Message #370 two days later. Pat Ludwa's VIEW FROM THE PEW:

When it comes to deciphering whether a sin is a sin, rationalization won't help.

The media is quick to publicize that there are many Catholic who don't agree with what the Pope says on certain aspects of their faith, especially regarding birth control and abortion. Today, Pat Ludwa, challenges all Catholics to realize no matter how much we rationalize what we do, we are still accountable to God and, when that time comes, we may be surprised how many sins we really committed. It's better that we realize this sooner, rather than later. For more, click on VIEW FROM THE PEW

SIMPLY SHEEN:

Love and the world loves with you.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the words of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen have been known to launch a thousand images in one's mind, one of the ways this late luminary did so much to evangelize the faith. Because of the urgency of the times and because few there are today who possess the wisdom, simplicity and insight than the late Archbishop who touched millions, we are bringing you daily gems from his writings. The good bishop makes it so simple that we have dubbed this daily series: "SIMPLY SHEEN".

" There is no cure for want of love but love. There will always be love for the lovable, but there will never be love for the unlovable unless we begin to love them for God's sake."

January 25th Medjugorje Monthly Message

Dear children! I again invite you to prayer. You have no excuse to work more because nature still lies in deep sleep. Open yourselves in prayer. Renew prayer in your families. Put Holy Scripture in a visible place in your families, read it, reflect on it and learn how God loves His people. His love shows itself also in present times because He sends me to call you upon the path of salvation. Thank you for having responded to my call.
