A significant and foreboding number in the Countdown to the Millennium!

For those who have been following our countdown calendar to the Jubilee, they are well aware that today marks a significant milestone - or should we say "millstone" - as we draw nearer to the year 2000. We're not celebrating this day whatsoever but rather marking it as significant since Our Lady expressly conveyed to locutionist Father Don Stefano Gobbi back on June 17, 1989 in Milan that "666 times three equals 1998." Because of the prayer of Mary's faithful remnant she has also imparted that much has been mitigated and that her Immaculate Heart will triumph before the new millennium. Therefore, could today mark the beginning of the time of serious tribulation when the antichrist gains control before he is defeated and satan chained and thrust into hell? If so, we need now more than ever to return to that brilliant and powerful Prayer to Saint Michael as we discuss in today's editorial entitled, "May God rebuke him we humbly pray!" click on today's CATHOLIC PewPOINT

Establishing the timeframe of St. John Bosco's prophetic vision

In today's on-going feature mega series on the Church today, we continue the topic of Saint John Bosco's dream vision he received well over a century ago and whether it referred to the end of the nineteenth century or our own twentieth century - like right now. The reason for the vision very much ties in with what Our Lady has said at Rue de Bac, Lourdes, La Salette, Fatima, Medjugorje, Akita, Betania and countless other places and with Sacred Scripture as we document in the sixty-first installment. Living the prophecies through prayer!

The Blessed Mother confirms all of the above with her messages to the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart. The two today treat the end of the "Age of Mercy" and the rise of the antichrist. That was in 1991. Seven years later we are truly on the brink of these times which she refers to as "the times of now, of the last days." She is not referring to the end of time, but the end of an era. As always she liberally fills her words with hope in knowing we have nothing to fear if we are secure in the two Hearts. Battling the times of decline in America with evangelization

That is what Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, OFM Cap., head of the Archdiocese of Denver and evolving as the true spokesman in the U. S. for all Holy Mother Church conveys, tackles today in his talk given to the Mile Hi Club last week in which we bring you the second of four consecutive installments, provided by Catholic World News Service. The Archbishop, fast becoming the true spokesman in America for all Holy Mother Church wants to convey to her faithful, shows us how we must deal with the youth and all the distractions in THE TASK OF EVANGELIZATION IN SECULAR AMERICA. The Calm before the Storm

It was truly a calming time when Jesus and His Mother Mary spent the last hours together, after the Apostles and Holy Women had departed. Our Lady describes the meaning in her meditation today on Meditative Lesson 4: THE TIMELESS ROLES OF LAZARUS AND THE HOLY WOMEN as imparted to the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart during Lent of 1995. It was truly the calm before the storm of activity that would begin with the Last Supper and extend through the sorrowful time of the Crucifixion. Now in Lent of 1998, the Blessed Mother asks us to be calm, to seek the calm, protective harbor of her Divine Son. Click on "IT IS CONSUMMATED!"

Lent affords us valuable meditation time to ponder sacrifice

The readings of today and tomorrow, both Lenten weekdays provides food for thought as to our purpose during Lent, a time to meditate on the meaning of this liturgical season and the sacrifices we must make in life for the purpose of eternal life. Medjugorje Monthly Message for February 25th

Dear children! Also today I am with you and I, again, call all of you to come closer to me through your prayers. In a special way, I call you to renunciation in this time of grace. Little children, meditate on and live, through your little sacrifices, the Passion and Death of Jesus for each of you. Only if you come closer to Jesus will you comprehend the immeasurable love He has for each of you. Through prayer and your renunciation you will become more open to the gift of faith and love towards the Church and the people who are around you. I love and bless you. Thank you for having responded to my call! For more on Medjugorje, click on MEDJUGORJE

PRAYERS & DEVOTION

Today's prayer is the powerful PRAYER TO ST. MICHAEL composed by Pope Leo XIII

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do, thou O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the Power of God, cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
