WHERE IS HOLY MOTHER CHURCH HEADING AS WE NEAR THE MILLENNIUM?

INTRODUCTION
      The Feature Article, begun in the inaugural issue two years ago, deals with the state of the Church. We continue probing the question that has perplexed the Magisterium and the laity for the past 30 years as the liberal element has left its mark, effecting changes that have seemingly watered down the "Roman Catholic" traditions. Yet, God in His Infinite Wisdom, has allowed this to happen for a specific purpose. He has been preparing us in a special way by sending His very Own Blessed Mother to guide us and remind us of our roots. Through perseverance, prayer and loyalty to Holy Mother Church headed by the Holy Father John Paul II and adhered to by the faithful who will not compromise, the pendulum is beginning to swing back toward the conservative side. In the seventy-fourth installment of this on-going feature series, we continue to sound the clarion as a wake-up call to all Catholics, especially bringing to the attention of all Catholics the necessity to mobilize the laity for the sake of Holy Mother Church. If we don't pay attention, we shall pay dearly as the third millennium dawns. We continue to alert the reader to what is happening and sound the call to arms, to enlist in Mary's army and take up the battle cry. God said it, we believe it, that settles it! Too many Catholics are going their own way with little regard to what their spiritual shepherd - the Vicar of Christ says. Sin is whitewashed. If we're not careful there will be a tremendous backwash and who among us wants to get caught in the vortex of that swirling whirlpool of Justice? With this chapter we continue our multi-installments on loyalty - Loyalty to the Holy Father and the Magisterium and therefore loyalty to Jesus. This series is a set blueprint for Catholics everywhere to take up the banner of truth in defending Christ's One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church as we prepare for this glorious event.

      We climaxed the last installment with the statement: "It is the deceivers who are being deceived! This is the quintessence of the New Age movement." It matters not how intellectual we've become in this so-called enlightened age of ever-advancing scientific achievements. It matters not what 'scientists' theorize as to the origin of the universe, its size, age, on-going changes. It matters not whether scientists have explored the realm of genetic engineering, and that we've reached an age where 'life' can be and is created in a test tube, and that we can more or less pick what we want a child to be fro the moment of conception. Oh, it matters that all of the above is not only possible, but reality. It matters because none of these things are of God, for God, or from Him!!! This is where loyalty comes in. Are we loyal to Him, the Creator of All? Are we loyal to the commands He has given us, and by which He expects us as His children to live? Loyalty to God must come first in our life, or we're already on the wrong path and were not going to make any headway no matter what we do. If we don't have God, we've lost the whole purpose of life and our existence on earth.

      Consider what Saint Nilus, a little-known saintly prophet of the 400's foretold fifteen centuries ago:

"After the year 1900, toward the middle of the 20th century, the people of that time will become unrecognizable. When the time for the Advent of the Antichrist approaches, people's minds will grow cloudy from carnal passions, and dishonor and lawlessness will grow stronger. Then the world will become unrecognizable. People's appearances will change, and it will be impossible to distinguish men from women due to their shamelessness in dress and style of hair. These people will be cruel and will be like wild animals because of the temptations of the antichrist. There will be no respect for parents and elders, love will disappear, and Christian pastors, bishops, and priests will become vain men, completely failing to distinguish the right-hand from the left. At that time the morals and traditions of Christians and of the Church will change. People will abandon modesty, and dissipation will reign. Falsehood and greed will attain great proportions, and woe to those who pile up treasures. Lust, adultery, homosexuality, secret deeds, and murder will rule in society.

      "At that future time, due to the power of such great crimes and licentiousness, people will be deprived of the grace of the Holy Spirit, which they received in Holy Baptism and equally of remorse. "The Churches of God will be deprived of God-fearing and pious pastors, and woe to the Christians remaining in the world at that time; they will completely lose their faith because they will lack the opportunity of seeing the light of knowledge from anyone at all. Then they will separate themselves out of the world in holy refuges in search of lightening their spiritual suffering, but everywhere they will meet obstacles and constraints. And all this will result from the fact that the Antichrist wants to be Lord over everything and become the ruler of the whole universe, and he will produce miracles and fantastic signs. He will also give depraved wisdom to an unhappy man so that he will discover a way by which one man can carry on a conversation with another from one end of the earth to the other. At that time men will also fly through the air like birds and descend to the bottom of the sea like fish. And when they have achieved all this, these unhappy people spend their lives in comfort without knowing, poor souls, that it is deceit of the Antichrist. And, the impious one! - he will so complete science with vanity that it will go off the right path and lead people to lose faith in the existence of God in three hypostases.

      "Then the All-Good God will see the downfall of the human race and will shorten the days for the sake of those few who are being saved, because the enemy wants to lead even the chosen into temptation, if that is possible…then the sword of chastisement will suddenly appear and kill the perverter and his servants."

      When you consider the times St. Nilus received this message, you know it came from the Holy Spirit. In addition, study St. Matthew's Gospel, the Apocalypse (Revelation), as well as the messages of LaSalette and other recent messages from Akita, Betania, El Escorial, Garabandal, etc., and you'll see it almost sounds world-for word at times. Is there any doubt God is trying to warn us of the spiritual pitfalls ahead through His messengers and His Blessed Mother who He's sent in record number of appearances toward the end of this second millennium to prepare us against this New Age mentality in these end times.

      New Age shrewdly masquerades that we can be God - not like God in His image and likeness, but actually be gods. It has a familiar ring to it, doesn't it? Wasn't that the rationale a certain serpent used with Adam and Eve, that he thrust upon Jesus in the desert?
