The Feast of All Saints Day, November 1, will soon be here. Hopefully all of
us have family and friends who are presently beholding the Beatific Vision and are immersed in
the sublime and keen awareness of God’s love for them in Heaven.
But I must tell you that I am deeply saddened by some statements I hear these
days, statements made by good people, but reflect how shallow their thinking is and how weak
their faith is in Our Lord’s Own words.
Some enemies and non-believers that Our Lady is appearing in Medjugorje and
other places use an argument that is astounding to me. When they are told that there are many
conversions in Medjugorje (for example), that many people are coming back to confession after being away
for many years, I have heard the reply: “Well, the devil can do that, too!”
No, dear reader, that is not the truth! The diabolic would NEVER, NEVER,
NEVER, EVER bring about the conversion of anyone. Why would he want anyone to be in the
state of sanctifying grace for even a moment? He would not! He would never want anyone to be God’s
friend for even a split second! For satan to want this, he would be working against himself and we
know what Jesus said: “A house divided against itself cannot stand. And if satan has risen up against
himself and is divided, he cannot stand; that is the end of him” ( Mark 3:25-26).
Indeed not, when a person is moved to go to confession or have a conversion
to Catholicism, it is by the action of the Holy Spirit not by the diabolic.
Jesus is very clear: “You know a tree by its fruits. A good tree cannot
bear bad fruit and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit” (Matthew 7:18). If we believe Our Lord said
this, how can we say that the diabolic has brought about good fruit? The diabolic would like to
fool us into thinking he would, though. This is sheer idiocy and stupidity!
Also in the Gospel of St. Matthew 12:34-35, Jesus said: “You brood of
vipers, how can you say good things when you are evil? For from the fullness of the heart the mouth
speaks. A good person brings forth good out of a store of goodness, but an evil person brings forth
evil out of a store of evil.”
And perhaps best of all Jesus said: “NO ONE CAN COME TO ME, UNLESS THE
FATHER DRAW HIM.” John 6:44.
Dear Father in Heaven, how can You tolerate much more of this? How many
thorns are put in Your Heart by such stupid and faith-weak arguments! How poorly they hear Your
words in Scripture!
Our Lord’s words are very clear. Let us NEVER, EVER attribute good to the evil one, for he is
not capable of it. Such attributings would be an insult to God and His acting grace in the lives of people.
The diabolic HATES God and works to destroy souls not make them God’s friends
even for a moment.
Peace be with you! God bless you!
