May 25th Medjugorje Monthly Message

Dear children! Today I call you, through prayer and sacrifice, to prepare yourselves for the coming of the Holy Spirit. Little children, this is a time of grace and so, again, I call you to decide for God the Creator. Allow Him to transform and change you. May your heart be prepared to listen to, and live, everything which the Holy Spirit has in His plan for each of you. Little children, allow the Holy Spirit to lead you on the way of truth and salvation towards eternal life. Thank you for having responded to my call.

Rationalization and Proof of Mary as Mediatrix of all graces

In our sixty-eighth installment of our megaseries on Mariology we bring you a rationalization, if not proof that Mary is indeed Mediatrix of all graces and this honor is nothing new, but has been accepted by the Church for some time. Today we bring you the definition from the Catholic Dictionary and a treatise from a 1930 book that shows, without a shadow of a doubt, that this title is warranted and right. Mary as Mediatrix of All Graces

Installment Sixty-eight

The Blessed Virgin Mary in her aspect of dispenser of the graces bestowed on human kind by the Holy Ghost through the merits of the crucified Christ. Having co-operated in the Incarnation and the Redemption by her motherhood and by her sufferings at the foot of the cross, our Lady merits to co-operate as channel for the graces flowing therefrom. In 1921 Pope Benedict XV granted to the dioceses of Belgium, and to any other diocese asking for it, permission to celebrate a Mass in honor of our Lady under this title, on May 31.

  • I. STATE OF THE QUESTION.   In calling the Blessed Virgin "mediatrix" we do not mean to deny that Jesus Christ is our sole Mediator. The mediation of Mary rests entirely upon that of her Divine Son and would be utterly ineffective without it.

  • 2. DOGMATIC PROOF - The Blessed Virgin Mary deserves to be called by the ancient traditional title of "mediatrix" for two reasons. First, because she co-operated in a unique manner in the Redemption, and secondly, because she is our powerful intercessor in Heaven.

We can show by still another argument that Mary's sublime office of Deipara destined her to be the spiritual mother and consequently the mediatrix of all Christians.

Today we honor Saint Augustine of Canterbury with the prayer on him taken from "My Daily Prayer" booklet from the Confraternity of the Precious Blood.

O God, Who didst vouchsafe to cause the light of the true Faith to shine upon the English people by the preaching and wonderful works of Blessed Augustine, Thy Confessor and Bishop, grant that through his intercession the hearts of those who have gone astray may return to the unity of Thy Truth, that we all may be of one mind in the doing of Thy will. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, world without end. Amen.

"What the wicked man fears will befall him, but the desire of the just will be granted."
