The voters chose Father Frank Anthony Pavone, the 40 year-old priest from New York who has become one of the world's leading advocates for the pro-life movement as Director for the mushrooming Priests for Life non-profit organization and as an official of the Pontifical Council for the Family. Ordained by Cardinal John J. O'Connor in 1988, he has dedicated the rest of his life to upholding and defending the Sanctity of Life and has become a permanent fixture on EWTN and the new Catholic Radio Network.
