 Ascension to Pentecost Novena of Rosaries for Peace continuesIn conjunction with the Worldwide Rosary Crusade Novena, we continue to promote the nine-day novena of Rosaries for peace between Ascension Thursday and the Solemnity of Pentecost, the birthday of the Church and the day of the Holy Spirit - dove of Peace. Today is the 6th day of the Novena. 
On this date two Popes named John passed away and the difference is like night and day. The first of course is today's saint, Pope Saint John I in 526 while the second is Pope John XII a rascal from the mold of Pope Alexander VI who died on this date 438 years later in 964. Pope conveys to 40,000 charity workers and volunteers that charity indeed begins at home as Vatican celebrates World Day of Social Communications  This past weekend two events buttressed up against each other and His Holiness was able to seque both, the first was Saturday's event wrapping up the World Charity Congress organized by the Pontifical Council "Cor Unum" which included such luminaries as the Pope himself and Mother Teresa's handpicked successor Sister Nirmala of Calcutta. Sunday the Holy Father recognized World Day of Social Communicatiuons and called on the mass media to work in cooperation with the Church for the sacred culture of life.  The Holy See is in a quandary on where the Pope will deliver his keynote closing address for the Asian Synod. Politics and Communist cooperation will play a huge roll that could swing one over the other though sentiment favors either Vietnam or India, the former to honor the long Catholic trials and tribulations of the people and Our Lady of La Vang since Hanoi has softened somewhat and the latter as an exclamation mark to all Mother Teresa accomplished.
