Gettin' the bugs out!

In this weekend's editorial we tell of the cyber fumigation that took place this past week which has made the computer mainframe of the DAILY CATHOLIC stronger just as the Sacrament of Confirmation makes one stronger as we tie in the two in taking responsibility firmly by the reins and looking the consequences in the eye. Suffering is Golden!

In his column this weekend, Pat Ludwa Today Pat reminds us all of how we have been likened to gold, purified in a furnace of trials for our faith. That can be a painful process. The gold nugget, precious on it's own, is heated by fire and all impurities are separated from it. In this state, it is at its most precious; and it's at this stage that it is the softest, most pliable and prime for God to work with. Our bodies, minds and souls need a heavy, healthy dose of wind and rough weather to make our roots strong and our trunks able to weather the barrage of satan's storms. A poem lovelier than a tree: three trees for the Trinity!

In her column this week, Sister Mary Lucy Astuto relates in a short vignette about three tall cedars how God works in strange and mysterious ways and why we need to trust in God and let Him guide us rather than trying to forge our own will. Sister reveals why in her touching column this weekend entitled, A Tale of Three Trees. For her column, click on GETTING TO THE HEART OF THE MATTER

Our Lady wants to be our guide

Meditative Lessons on the Glorious Mysteries

In the second and final part of Chapter 14, The First Cenacle the Blessed Mother conveys to us how she can be our guide, reminding us that the Trinity has sent her to prepare us for the Second Pentecost which will be made possible by the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart promised 82 years ago today at Fatima and repeated over and over since. These meditative lessons, imparted by Our Lady to the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart after Pentecost 1993, are meant to inspire and prompt a greater understanding of the Glorious Mysteries. April 25th Medjugorje Monthly Message

Dear children! Also today I call you to prayer. Little children, be joyful carriers of peace and love in this peaceless world. By fasting and prayer, witness that you are mine and that you live my messages. Pray and seek! I am praying and interceding for you before God that you convert; that your life and behavior always be Christian. Thank you for having responded to my call.

"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you all days, even unto the consummation of the world."
