Decades of the Rosary are vital in atoning for decades of deadly decay

In today's editorial we provide the choice of two weapons: One has been used with little redeeming value during this century; the other has been the redeeming value since the time of Saint Dominic. The former are the weapons of destruction being used to to bomb the Balkans and in ethnic cleansing; the latter is the weapon of construction being used to storm Heaven for Mercy in striving for peace and harmony for mankind. With the bombs exploding globally, it's time we arm the Church Militant with the most powerful weapon we have: the Holy Rosary and the World Wide Rosary Crusade for a global Rosary is a good place to start. For today's commentary entitled The decade is almost over. Have we prayed enough decades to help save mankind?, click on CATHOLIC PewPOINT.

The Apostles are incredulous at the Magdalen's news

In the second part of Chapter 10: Faith conquers Fear we see, through interior vision, that the Apostles had nothing on the doubting Thomas for they questioned Mary Magdalene who had arrived in the upper room to share the good news of the Master's Resurrection. Peter takes charge and, still incredulous, decides to find out for himself if this is indeed true. These meditative lessons, imparted by Our Lady to the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart after Pentecost 1993, are meant to inspire and prompt a greater understanding of the Glorious Mysteries. Wednesday, April 21, 1999

Today we continue a short series of Responsory Prayers during Paschaltide adapted from the Byzantine Liturgy:

This day was made by the Lord, Alleluia. Let us rejoice and be glad in it, Alleluia. They have drunk deeply from streams of living water. Alleluia.

Events Today in Church History

On this date in 1923 Mother Angelica was born. This feisty but true and loyal Franciscan Poor Clare nun began the Eternal Word Network in 1980 and has been the target of liberals in the U.S. ever since as she stands as a bastion of orthodox, traditional teaching true to the Holy See. Her order of cloistered, contemplative nuns at Our Lady of the Angels monastery in Irondale, Alabama has flourished with vocations. We wish Mother a very blessed and happy 76th birthday. SIMPLY SHEEN: We're in good hands with the Almighty

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the words of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen have been known to launch a thousand images in one's mind, one of the ways this late luminary did so much to evangelize the faith. Because of the urgency of the times and because few there are today who possess the wisdom, simplicity and insight than the late Archbishop who touched millions, we are bringing you daily gems from his writings. The good bishop makes it so simple that we have dubbed this daily series: "SIMPLY SHEEN".

" To solve our cares God must not only be Personal, He must also be in the dust of human cares. That is why He, with full understanding our troubles, can say: 'Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will refresh you.' (Matthew 11: 28)."

March 25th Medjugorje Monthly Message

Dear children! I call you to prayer with the heart. In a special way, little children, I call you to pray for conversion of sinners, for those who pierce my heart and the heart of my Son Jesus with the sword of hatred and daily blasphemies. Let us pray, little children, for all those who do not desire to come to know the love of God, even though they are in the Church. Let us pray that they convert, so that the Church may resurrect in love. Only with love and prayer, little children, can you live this time which is given to you for conversion. Place God in the first place, then the risen Jesus will become your friend. Thank you for having responded to my call.

"For the bread of God is that which comes down from Heaven and gives life to the world."

John 6: 33

Today we bring you a site that is very important for these times and which we encourage all to get involved in. It is the WORLD WIDE ROSARY CRUSADE SITE where you can pledge your Rosaries directly, specifically on the 13th of each month in fulfillment of what the Blessed Virgin Mary asked at Fatima and succeeding messages up to today. It is a worthwhile cause that has our full cooperation for, as we point out in our editorial today, it is the only course we can follow.
