Death of Saint Hugh of Lincoln, Abbot of the first Carthusian monastery in England and Bishop of the Diocese of Lincoln. After 80 years of dedication to God and defending the Jews during a time when Jews were greatly persecuted on the British Isles, he died at London on this date at the Old Temple where Jews honored him.
