PRAYER & DEVOTION

Almighty God, You granted the martyr Thomas the grace to give his life for the cause of justice. By his prayers make us willing to renounce for Christ our life in this world so that we may find it in Heaven.

Lord, help and sustain Your people by the prayes of Pope Sylvester. Guide us always in this present life and bring us to the joy that never ends.
Prayer after Communion on the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God on January 1 honoring Our Lady
Father, as we proclaim the Virgin Mary to be the Mother of Christ and the Mother of the Church, may our communion with her Son bring us to salvation.
Opening Prayer on January 2 honoring Saint Basil the Great and Saint Gregory Nazianzen, Bishops and Doctors of the Church
God our Father, You inspired the Church with the example and teaching of Your saints Basil and Gregory. In humility may we come to know Your truth and put it into action with faith and love.
Opening Prayer and Special Prayer for Epiphany on January 3 for the Feast of Epiphany
The Lord and ruler is coming; kingship is His, and government and power.
O God, Who, by the leading of a star, didst on this day manifest Thine Only-begotten Son to the Gentiles; mercifully grant that we, who know Thee now by faith, may be brought to the vision of Thy majestic beauty. Through the same Jesus Christ, Thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, world without end. Amen.
