For those who truly want to delve deeper into what the Faith teaches and what past Sovereign Pontiffs have decreed, we recommend the following Lenten reading to better KNOW THE FAITH in order to KEEP THE FAITH:
"Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the First Sunday of Lent, he focuses on the temptations of the world, the flesh and the devil. Temptations constantly pound at our senses and we must have custody of the eyes, ears, mouth and touch in order to avoid falling into sin. Temptation is the theme of this Sunday's liturgy in which Christ was tempted on the mount after 40 days and 40 nights in the desert. The devil chose that time, thinking Jesus would be too weak to resist. So also today the world counts on us being too weak to resist the lure of popularity and things. By playing on our fear of rejection, of "missing out on the brass ring," too often we compromise not only our own situations but the very word of God, molding our own perception into what we want to hear in order for us to be acceptable to man. We want it easy and don't want to take up the sword. 'Peace' we cry, but it will not be found unless we practice virtue and "fight the good fight of the faith" as St. Paul entreats. Father explains in "Let nothing afright thee."
The Germs of G.I.R.M.
In this issue we bring you part sixty-four of Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey's well-received, thought-provoking series on G.I.R.M. warfare as he continues analyzing and commenting on the ambiguity and errors in the General Instruction of the Roman Missal Tom focuses on paragraphs 199 through 218 which treat the whole issue of concelebration which in the Novus Ordo has taken away the true meaning and role of the "alter Christus" and replaced it with "altar Christi in the move to concelebration where the line is blurred so much that Joe and Sally church goers think they're concelebrating as well. In the innovative novelty world of the Novus Ordo who needs a 'clown mass' when so many have become a The Concelebration Circus

    White Smoke, Black Fire!
In the third episode of Chapter Ten of The Shrouding, Father Niki Andriopoulos and Dr. Makuta Ogidi uncover some necessary answers to the Legion of the Basilisk's plans in the hills outside Rome. Meanwhile in an auxiliary 2nd floor utility room off the main corridor of the Apostolic Palace, Monsignor Stephen Navarro, Sister Bridie and Pat Gallagher venture to guess the Basilisk's next move as they compare notes and blueprint their next strategy. But first they must get medical help for Pat and that won't be easy. They must attempt to get him past the Legion's guards and Cardinal Macelli. The Legion and Camerlengo are furious over the foiled scheme of finding where the heroic Riage Benziger had hid the Pope. The traitor Fr. Urazzi discovered where, but did not live to betray the Holy Father for the resisters had arrived just in time. Now the search intensifies. Who will find the Pope first? The tension builds in Part IV, Chapter Ten, Episode Three.

  • Christ or chaos
Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey shares his own investigation into how and why a good, holy Traditional priest was ignored at the time he needed help the most. The Diocese couldn't be bothered to have a Requiem Mass for a Heavyweight Traditional priest. Why was a dedicated priest's funeral preparations treated with indifference and intimidation? What kind of game are these Novus Ordinarians 'Dodgers' playing? Sounds like 'da bums' in the chancery are dodging integrity and fairness over the funeral and follow-up of Father Salvatore Franco. Thank God the SSPX was in his corner! Tom documents the backpedaling and how, when push came to shove, the Society of St. Pius X once again proved they were the obvious Good Samaritan true to the Gospel. Tom explains in No End To The Spinning

    Catholic PewPOINT
    NOT!
Editor Michael Cain points out that one day of Prayer once or twice a year, or one minute of prayer every thousand years - in order that we might be in alignment with the numbers - is nothing but a bandaid on a malignant cancer. To hold fast to one council and ignore the wisdom of 20 others or to listen to what one, two and three popes have proclaimed over the past 40 years while ignoring the wisdom of the 260 who preceded them...is an insult to the Almighty and an indictment against us for allowing such malleability and lukewarmness to permeate our minds, hearts, souls, and actions. We all will have to account for our folly as he explains in his commentary There is no quick fix!
    Traditional Insights
Mario Derksen continues his multi-part series on the controversy that surrounds "the illicit Episcopal Ordinations of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre." In this issue he responds to three objections. First, he answers the dumbed-down excuse: "the Pope said it so it must be right." Secondly, Mario explains that just because an appeal can't be submitted, that doesn't mean the Pope's judgment is correct. In the third objection Mario replies with the answers of why the indult is a compromimse, and not the proper way to resist the modernist hierarchy. He does this all in a logical, syllogistic style that not only is well presented, but gives those, who might have been led to believe the SSPX was in schism because of the modernists' spin, the opportunity to see the facts. Mario lays out the logic that refutes neo-Catholic claims in part six of his series with the first of Objections and Replies: Why not the indult?.
    On the BattleLine
Atila Sinke Guimarães, a foremost authority on the causes and effects of Vatican II and at the forefront in identifying the charades being proffered by the bishops and curia, exposes the revolution, providing proof that we must all truly stand with the Church Militant On the BattleLine. While the Jews await another compromise by John Paul II, the Anglican Church is ready to split. In the heavily Catholic populated Islands of the Philippines, an ambiguous bandaid against Freemasonry has left loopholes exposed. Meanwhile is the Society of Jesus "wagging the dog" with a new movement to further liberalize the Jesuits? Atila takes a bird's eye view of events that contribute to the animus delendi of Holy Mother Church in his column Mixed Signals and Splits
     Exspectans exspectavimus Ecclesia Dei
Bishop Richard Williamson responds to those who smugly think two plus two don't have to add up to four anymore. The sum of the whole does not add up, leaving holes in not just some key truths. However if any truth is compromised, the entire equation is convoluted. His Excellency provides a parable of the "Delegation" trying to force "Back Ward" to accept the New Math. Of course he can't, just as any faithful Catholic cannot accept the Newisms of Vatican II as the Bishop points out in his letter Nice Rome Not Enough.
    Pro Life Prescriptions
Dr. Frank Joseph, a Catholic physician and long one of the leading crusaders for the Sanctity of Life, keeps his pulse on the political landscape, identifying the landmines that threaten the life of Christ's most innocent ones - the unborn. While we have learned to realize that the Democratic Party is not going to change, what riles Dr. Frank - and should every other Catholic as well - are the fact that the bishops are in lockstep with the Democrats. Shocking and sad. The fact that the bishops are gunshy to the truths of Holy Mother Church, refuse to speak in absolutes, and mete out the just punishments that would not only save thousands of the innocent unborn, but millions of souls, should be enough to raise the outrage of all Catholics...if, that is, they are still truly Catholic! By following the insanity of bishops cited in Dr. Frank's column, one has to realize they are not Catholic, but anathema! Dr. Frank documents this in his column If These Men are Actual Shepherds, Pity the Poor Sheep!
    Echoes of True Catholicism
Dr. Marian Therese Horvat shares some uplifting accounts of the saints on the power of prayer and the virtue of perseverance, manifested in one whom Marian has been corresponding with. She outlines the five points that pinpoint perseverance of prayer and the infallibility of Christ's words, "Ask and you shall receive" She urges all to turn to Our Lady of Good Success for - what else - success. Marian points to the fact that if God answers prayers for little things, how much more will He open the door for us when we ask for great and noble things like the souls in Purgatory and the liberty and exaltation of Holy Mother Church in these times of abandonment of the True Faith. Marian shows the way in her article A Lesson in Perseverance in Prayer
    "Feed My sheep"
We encourage all to e-mail this article to as many as you can. Print it out and send it to every member of your family, to your friends Catholic and non-Catholic. Share it with your neighbors for we are fast approaching the very time described. It should wake the thunders, shake souls into the realization that the devil is very real, very active. The "Smoke of Satan," which Paul VI acknowledged entered the sanctuary in the 60's and 70's, is now a bonfire raging out of control in and outside the Church as we explain in what is to come To Hasten the Reign of Antichrist
Appreciating the Precious Gift of our Faith
Click here to see enlarged illustration After a brief delay we continue with our catechesis series from My Catholic Faith. We focus on Christian Perfection and why it is more important than ever before to "put on the armor of God" in striving toward sanctity in a world that shuns and mocks such ideals, where the beasts of the world, the flesh and the devil lash out at those who are not shackled by satan. The 284th installment: Christian Perfection .
Shears and Tears of a Lamb
Catharine brings home the point quite well that there is no place like home and home is where the heart is. That heart is one with Christ in offering with the priest the propitiatory sacrifice of Calvary to the Father in an unbloody manner in the indefectible Mass decreed by the Council of Trent and codified by Pope St. Pius V. No matter how they wrap the New Mass, it cannot hold a candle to the True Mass. Catherine invites all to come home in her column The Tridentine Mass: When you know you're really Home!!!.
    Doctors of the Church
The twenty-first Doctor in this chronological series on the Doctors of the Church was a man who was not blessed with good health, but turned that weakness into one of his greatest strengths. He was a holy priest who truly understand the meaning of Crusade and conquered many to Christ not through the sword, but through his eloquent speech, miracles and humility. He sought the crown of martyrdom, but was rewarded instead with the miraculous phenomenon of having the Child Jesus visit him, rest in his arms to encourage and pray with this beloved Franciscan whose preaching and odor of sanctity converted countless sousl to the Faith. He was Saint Anthony of Padua.
    Father forgive them..."
Mark Fellows reveals the underbelly of the Arlington Diocese to show that the problem not only lies with the top shepherd who refused to recognize the undeniable, documented truth provided by Father James Haley, a priest trying to be what he was called to do: be a priest. The cover-up by Bishop Paul Loverde is not an isolated case but symptomatic of practically every diocese in the United States; more proof of bad seed stifling the wheat as Mark documents in The Outsider

The Twelve Promises of the Sacred Heart
We continue the excellent work by Father Joseph McDonnell, S.J.. Catholic Family News has given us permission to reprint following their publishing of it. It is a beautiful meditation and commentary that should encourage more devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus as we continue with Part Eighteen and the Eleventh Promise - "Those who propagate this Devotion shall have their name written in My Heart, and it Shall never be effaced" in The Eleventh Promise - part one.

"The denial of Truth is just as fatal to the mind as the denial of light is to vision. Truth in its fullness is not easy to attain, even if one does admit its existence. To explore Truth in all its complexity there must come moments when we confess ignorance, when we frankly admit that we were mistaken or bigoted, or prejudiced. These admissions are painful, but they actually enrich character just as much as all approximations to falsehood forfeit it."             Bishop Fulton J. Sheen
