"Tu es Petrus, et et super hanc petram aedificabo Ecclesiam Meam, et portae inferi non praevalebunt adversus eam. Et tibi dabo claves regni caelorum."
      Matthew 16: 18-19

      Christ or chaos
Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey asks why we have forgotten the wisdom expressed just 81 years ago by His Holiness Pius XI in his very first encyclical Urbi Arcano. It would be wise if all would seriously consider his words, especially with all the rhetoric of a just war theory vs. anti-war. The facts are peace in this world is unreachable unless it is rooted in the Social Kingdom of Jesus Christ as Tom explains in his column More on WAR AND PEACE

      "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for Septuagesima Sunday, he points out how biblical history repeats itself from the very place of Babylon to the miraculous power of the only weapon we need in these times of constant terrorist warnings when an entire country is becoming paranoid and buying out duct tape and plastic lining, survival kits, like they're going out of style. Everyone is worried about their physical welfare and haven't given one thought to what really is important - vital - what the real danger at ground zero is: Mortal Sin. Only through the Sacrament of Confession and the graces of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the daily Rosary can we hope to be singe-free from the fires of hell as he explains in his sermon Bombs, Lies, and Duct Tape
      Doctors of the Church
The twenty-first Doctor in this chronological series on the Doctors of the Church was a man who was not blessed with good health, but turned that weakness into one of his greatest strengths. He was a holy priest who truly understand the meaning of Crusade and conquered many to Christ not through the sword, but through his eloquent speech, miracles and humility. He sought the crown of martyrdom, but was rewarded instead with the miraculous phenomenon of having the Child Jesus visit him, rest in his arms to encourage and pray with this beloved Franciscan whose preaching and odor of sanctity converted countless sousl to the Faith. He was Saint Anthony of Padua.
      White Smoke, Black Fire!
In the second episode of Chapter Ten of The Smoldering, Monsignor Stephen Navarro has smuggled Pat Gallagher into the Vatican for the reporter is in desperate need of medical help. Meanwhile, after extensive grilling Major Riage Benziger on the whereabouts of the Pope, the Legion is about to discover from the sedated loyal Swiss Guard where. Can Stephen and Pat save Benziger? Can they stop the Legion from finishing the job on the Roman Pontiff and get the all-important Papal Ring? Find out in Part IV, Chapter Ten, Episode Two.
The Twelve Promises of the Sacred Heart
We continue the excellent work by Father Joseph McDonnell, S.J.. Catholic Family News has given us permission to reprint following their publishing of it. It is a beautiful meditation and commentary that should encourage more devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus as we continue with Part Eighteen and the Eleventh Promise - "Those who propagate this Devotion shall have their name written in My Heart, and it Shall never be effaced" in The Eleventh Promise - part one.

    Father forgive them..."
Mark Fellows reveals the underbelly of the Arlington Diocese to show that the problem not only lies with the top shepherd who refused to recognize the undeniable, documented truth provided by Father James Haley, a priest trying to be what he was called to do: be a priest. The cover-up by Bishop Paul Loverde is not an isolated case but symptomatic of practically every diocese in the United States; more proof of bad seed stifling the wheat as Mark documents in The Outsider

Shears and Tears of a Lamb
Catharine brings home the point quite well that there is no place like home and home is where the heart is. That heart is one with Christ in offering with the priest the propitiatory sacrifice of Calvary to the Father in an unbloody manner in the indefectible Mass decreed by the Council of Trent and codified by Pope St. Pius V. No matter how they wrap the New Mass, it cannot hold a candle to the True Mass. Catherine invites all to come home in her column The Tridentine Mass: When you know you're really Home!!!.
    Christ or chaos
Dr. Tom Droleskey asks Cardinal Francis George, O.M.I. not only where his backbone might be, but where is his faith? He bases this on His Eminence's senseless refusal to stop pro-abort radical Democrat Al Sharpton from speaking during a NOM service in Chicago. For those conservatives who looked to George as the answer to clean up the windy city, you'll notice the ill wind is still there and only getting worse by the Cardinal's temerity and political correctness. He may be pleasing some of the black parishioners and the apostate pastor, but he surely is not pleasing God as Tom points out in his article A Futile Gesture?

Beneath the mask who really is Bill Frist? With the push for a Republican Congress to push through a Partial Birth Abortion Ban and approve pro-life judges, there are many who are pinning their hopes on new Senate Majority Leader Frist. Tom warns not to place your trust in man whether he be Republican or Democrat for, as he shows, when push comes to shove there really is very little difference between the two parties. Only when Republicans fully follow God's will of no compromises at any stage of life will they be truly pro life. Tom explains in his latest column Frist for the Mill

Few have traversed the nation as much as Dr. Tom Droleskey who continues to crusade for the Social Kingship of Jesus Christ with articles that lay out very clearly the true Catholic way of doing things at all times. He gets down to brass tacks by calling on the Pope to quit "Mickey-Mousing" around while so many souls perish chiefly because of his own stubborness in curtailing those who are out to destroy true Catholic devotion and the Tridentine Mass. He shouts from the rooftop that it is not only good and right to resist, but woe to those who denigrate those who seek first and foremost salvation Solely for Souls

    Catholic PewPOINT
Editor Michael Cain enumerates the technical problems that hit on Christmas Eve and have been at the crux of only now being able to present a new issue. He points out how setbacks can often be blessings in disguise as he explains and asks some serious questions, questions asked by most of the contributing writers below as well. More or less, the conclusion he arrives at is that Less is More!.
    Traditional Insight: PART FIVE
Mario Derksen continues his multi-part series on the controversy that surrounds "the illicit Episcopal Ordinations of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre." If you have not read the previous four installments, we encourage you to do so below before reading his current installment in which he provides canonical evidence and doctrinal rationale that shows most definitely that the excommunications of Msgr. Lefebvre and the four bishops of the Society of St. Pius X whom he consecrated, cannot stand up to the scrutiny of truth. Not only that, but had His Excellency not gone through with the episcopal consecrations it is quite possible there would be little if any traditional reminders left today in the postconciliar Church's angst to rid Holy Mother Church of all that preceded Vatican II as Mario explains in asking Schism or the Syllogism of Truth?.

      PART ONE
Mario Derksen began his series on the controversy that surrounds "the illicit Episcopal Ordinations of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre" back in early November. In part one, Mario presented apologetics, based on the Angelic Doctor of the Church, Canon Law and a documented letter from the Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops that prove that before the ordinations on June 30, 1988, there was no excommunication. Mario laid out the syllogisms in the first part of his series with Refuting Claims of Excommunication Before June 30, 1988.

      PART TWO
In part two, Mario presented factors that occurred in May of 1988 as he begins to lay the groundwork for the background that will show there was No Schism or Excommunication On or Immediately After June 30, 1988. He showed how the archbishop, after cooperating fully in signing a Protocol Agreement with Rome, was then coerced by Vatican operatives to sign a letter which varied greatly from what had priorly been agreed upon in dialogue with Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. This Lefebvre could not sign. Mario referenced why in the ol' Bait and Switch!.

      PART THREE
In part three, Mario presented canonical arguments to better illustrate there was No Schism or Excommunication On or Immediately After June 30, 1988. He analyzed, via the Excommunication Decree issued by Cardinal Gantin, what canons apply from the 1983 Code of Canon Law and syllogized how a simple latae sententiae has been misinterpreted so much so that when one tries to target logical reasons for the excommunication one gets caught in Canon Backfire!

      PART FOUR
In part four, Mario presented arguments to prove that canonically both in the 1917 Code and the 1983 there was a state of necessity - a dire emergency - for the Archbishop's actions and therefore His Excellency did not even violate the letter of canon law since the salvation of souls always takes top priority in all aspects of spiritual care as Mario equated in Salvation of souls is the paramount necessity!

      For Part Five, see above.

     Exspectans exspectavimus Ecclesia Dei

Bishop Bernard Fellay, the General Superior of the Society of St. Pius X, weighs in with the latest news on the on-going on and off talks with modern Rome. Yes, the Society is interested if modern Rome accepts the Truths and Traditions of the past 1900 years; No, if they insist on pushing the Vatican II agenda and expect that the SSPX would ever abandon the ideals of the Saints, Doctors and Popes of the past - all ideals upheld by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre for the greater glory and honor of God - for the necessary salvation of souls. His Excellency shares the latest in his letter Our Relations With Rome.
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Fifth Sunday After Epiphany focused on the parable of the weeds - the bad, bad cockle that suffocates the good seed so much that one can no longer recognize the garden they once could rely on and from which they could gain the nourishing and necessary wheat of truth as he explained in his sermon The Bad Seed.

Father reminded us in his sermon for the Feast of the Purification that only in the Great Sacrifice - the Holy Mass - can we find our nourishment and strength against the Ordo ab Chao - Order from Chaos. Father Louis explained in "He is like a refining fire"

In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Third Sunday After Epiphany he didn't mince words in asking if the highest authority on earth is not subject to the absolute authority of God? His affirmation in Matthew 8 affirm that but by the actions and inactions of John Paul II one is left to be gravely concerned as Father Louis explained in The Weeping and Gnashing of Teeth

Shears and Tears of a Lamb
Catharine discusses how Pat Buchanan, a Traditional Catholic of national prominence, analyzes the fruits of Vatican II by getting down to the simple numbers. No matter how the Vaticantwoarians might crunch the numbers, what has been pushed on the faithful for the past 40 years doesn't add up. It has only divided, multiplying the errors and subtracting graces. Was this 'collateral damage' all calculated? Catharine asks which is more important: the salvation of souls or perpetuating the legacies of the Vatican II popes? One wonders. She explains in her article Statistics: The Real Price.
    "Feed My sheep"
Isn't it time to make a decision to speak out about making decisions? The decisions we're referring to are not just everyday ones, but those which will determine our eternal salvation or damnation. Unless we wake up soon, we won't have the opportunity to make a decision. Wouldn't it be terrible if we depended only on others' decisions when we meet our Maker at our Particular Judgment? That is what the vast majority of civilization is doing today both in the world and the Church, especially the Church where the malaise is far greater, far more severe because of what is at stake as we illustrate inDecisions, Decisions!
    The Germs of G.I.R.M.
In this issue we bring you part sixty-three of Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey's well-received, thought-provoking series on G.I.R.M. warfare as he continues analyzing and commenting on the ambiguity and errors in the General Instruction of the Roman Missal Tom focuses on paragraphs 187 through 198 which treats, for the most part, the role of the acolyte - the altar servers - which, as Dr. Droleskey points out, have been so obfiscated that no one really knows what is an acolyte. In the innovative novelty world of the Novus Ordo it has become a whacky world of and for acolytes as he explains in Acolytes and whAco-lites!
    On the BattleLine
Atila Sinke Guimar„es, a foremost authority on the causes and effects of Vatican II and at the forefront in identifying the charades being proffered by the bishops and curia, exposes the revolution, providing proof that we must all truly stand with the Church Militant On the BattleLine. For his latest viewpoint from the trenches, see his intuitive piece on a possible, very possible "Smoking Gun" that reaches all the way to the Apostolic Palace in his Bird's Eye View: The Papal Letter
    Echoes of True Catholicism
One of the more respected experts on medieval history and Catholic culture, Dr. Marian Therese Horvat shares a finding that precedes the founding of this country. In these times paganism seeks to suffocate all that has been established including, first and foremost, the Catholic Faith first brought to America by the Spanish and Portuguese missionaries. The inspiring statue of Our Lady of Conquerors - La Conquistadora stands as a reminder to the revisionists of the power of the Mother of God - the conquest of non-Christians through the boodless victory and why America is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception. For the background and story of the oldest venerated statue of Our Lady in the U.S. see Marian's article La Conquistadora

    Pro Life Prescriptions
Dr. Frank Joseph, a Catholic physician and long one of the leading crusaders for the Sanctity of Life, keeps his pulse on the political landscape, identifying the landmines that threaten the life of Christ's most innocent ones - the unborn. Dr. Frank monitors the situation in his columns.

Preserving the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church
We invite you to find out for yourself the truth as we present a compendium portal of documents on the Faith in all aspects. For thumnail descriptions and links to the other sections of this issue see:

"The denial of Truth is just as fatal to the mind as the denial of light is to vision. Truth in its fullness is not easy to attain, even if one does admit its existence. To explore Truth in all its complexity there must come moments when we confess ignorance, when we frankly admit that we were mistaken or bigoted, or prejudiced. These admissions are painful, but they actually enrich character just as much as all approximations to falsehood forfeit it."              Bishop Fulton J. Sheen
