"Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are the meek; for they shall possess the land. Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted. Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful; for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the clean of heart; for they shall see God. Blessed are the peace-makers; for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice sake; for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are ye when they shall revile you, and persecute you untruly, for My sake; Rejoice and be exceeding glad, for your reward is very great in Heaven; for so they persecuted the prophets, that were before you."|
Matthew 5: 3-12
Christ or chaos
Finally, after seventeen grueling years of sweating it out, the modern Job pro-life hero Joe Scheidler is getting his just due after the overwhelming Supreme Court decision which unexpectedly to many non-believers shot down the pro-abort N.O.W. claims. To believers, Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey advises not to go out and celebrate with a drink but drink in the abundant Mercy and Goodness of God and give Him thanks on your knees for this miracle of justice. He also reminds us that we cannot get overconfident, not let down our guard for this decision was not the work of the Bush administration; rather it was in spite of the GOP that this decision came down, as Tom explains in his column Justice for a True Pro-Life Hero
"Feed My sheep"
Dr. Edward Ciaccio presents an article that must be read by everyone. E-mail it to as many as you can. Print it out and send it to every member of your family, to your friends Catholic and non-Catholic. Share it with your neighbors for we are fast approaching the very time he describes in his excellent column that should wake the thunders, shake souls into the realization that the devil is very real, very active. The "Smoke of Satan," which Paul VI acknowledged entered the sanctuary in the 60's and 70's, is now a bonfire raging out of control in and outside the Church as Ed explains in his column To Hasten the Reign of Antichrist
"Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for Sexagesima Sunday, he reminds anyone who knows what's going on in the world today - of the 'fruitfulness' of the barren 'fruits' of last year's Assisi summit in which the Holy Father boasted "War never again!" and "Terrorism never again! In the name of God, may every religion bring upon earth justice and peace, forgiveness and life, love." Our Lord shows the fallacy of such a statement as Fr. Louis also shows clearly through the Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, Popes St. Pius X and Pius XI's encyclicals and current evidence of the futility of entangling God's people in a spiritual bondage where Christ is compromised for the 'common good'. Father explains clearly how so many, including the present pope, have forgotten the Key to true peace and love: One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism
Appreciating the Precious Gift of our Faith
After a brief delay we continue with our catechesis series from My Catholic Faith. In preparation for Lent during this time of Septuagesima, we focus on Christian Perfection and why it is more important than ever before to "put on the armor of God" in striving toward sanctity in a world that shuns and mocks such ideals, where the beasts of the world, the flesh and the devil lash out at those who are not shackled by satan. We provide the reasons why we must gird ourselves with the loins of truth in the 284th installment of this series with Christian Perfection .
Doctors of the Church
The twenty-first Doctor in this chronological series on the Doctors of the Church was a man who was not blessed with good health, but turned that weakness into one of his greatest strengths. He was a holy priest who truly understand the meaning of Crusade and conquered many to Christ not through the sword, but through his eloquent speech, miracles and humility. He sought the crown of martyrdom, but was rewarded instead with the miraculous phenomenon of having the Child Jesus visit him, rest in his arms to encourage and pray with this beloved Franciscan whose preaching and odor of sanctity converted countless sousl to the Faith. He was Saint Anthony of Padua.
White Smoke, Black Fire!
In the second episode of Chapter Ten of The Smoldering, Monsignor Stephen Navarro has smuggled Pat Gallagher into the Vatican for the reporter is in desperate need of medical help. Meanwhile, after extensive grilling Major Riage Benziger on the whereabouts of the Pope, the Legion is about to discover from the sedated loyal Swiss Guard where. Can Stephen and Pat save Benziger? Can they stop the Legion from finishing the job on the Roman Pontiff and get the all-important Papal Ring? Find out in Part IV, Chapter Ten, Episode Two.
The Twelve Promises of the Sacred Heart
We continue the excellent work by Father Joseph McDonnell, S.J.. Catholic Family News has given us permission to reprint following their publishing of it. It is a beautiful meditation and commentary that should encourage more devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus as we continue with Part Eighteen and the Eleventh Promise - "Those who propagate this Devotion shall have their name written in My Heart, and it Shall never be effaced" in The Eleventh Promise - part one.
Father forgive them..."
Mark Fellows reveals the underbelly of the Arlington Diocese to show that the problem not only lies with the top shepherd who refused to recognize the undeniable, documented truth provided by Father James Haley, a priest trying to be what he was called to do: be a priest. The cover-up by Bishop Paul Loverde is not an isolated case but symptomatic of practically every diocese in the United States; more proof of bad seed stifling the wheat as Mark documents in The Outsider
Shears and Tears of a Lamb
Catharine brings home the point quite well that there is no place like home and home is where the heart is. That heart is one with Christ in offering with the priest the propitiatory sacrifice of Calvary to the Father in an unbloody manner in the indefectible Mass decreed by the Council of Trent and codified by Pope St. Pius V. No matter how they wrap the New Mass, it cannot hold a candle to the True Mass. Catherine invites all to come home in her column The Tridentine Mass: When you know you're really Home!!!.
Christ or chaos
While so many world leaders and religious leaders pander to the so-called "Security Council" of the UN as the ultimate authority, Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey points out that there is only One Authority and one United Nations and it has nothing to do with the organization concocted after WWII. Despite modern Rome's coddling of the UN, the fact remains that only when all nations recognize the Social Kingship of Christ will we have The True United Nations
Christ or chaos
Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey asked why we have forgotten the wisdom expressed just 81 years ago by His Holiness Pius XI in his very first encyclical Urbi Arcano. It would be wise if all would seriously consider his words, especially with all the rhetoric of a just war theory vs. anti-war. The facts are peace in this world is unreachable unless it is rooted in the Social Kingdom of Jesus Christ as Tom explained in his column More on WAR AND PEACE
Dr. Tom Droleskey asks Cardinal Francis George, O.M.I. not only where his backbone might be, but where is his faith? He bases this on His Eminence's senseless refusal to stop pro-abort radical Democrat Al Sharpton from speaking during a NOM service in Chicago. For those conservatives who looked to George as the answer to clean up the windy city, you'll notice the ill wind is still there and only getting worse by the Cardinal's temerity and political correctness. He may be pleasing some of the black parishioners and the apostate pastor, but he surely is not pleasing God as Tom points out in his article A Futile Gesture?
Editor Michael Cain enumerates the technical problems that hit on Christmas Eve and have been at the crux of only now being able to present a new issue. He points out how setbacks can often be blessings in disguise as he explains and asks some serious questions, questions asked by most of the contributing writers below as well. More or less, the conclusion he arrives at is that
Less is More!.
Traditional Insight: PART FIVE
Mario Derksen continues his multi-part series on the controversy that surrounds "the illicit Episcopal Ordinations of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre." If you have not read the previous four installments, we encourage you to do so below before reading his current installment in which he provides canonical evidence and doctrinal rationale that shows most definitely that the excommunications of Msgr. Lefebvre and the four bishops of the Society of St. Pius X whom he consecrated, cannot stand up to the scrutiny of truth. Not only that, but had His Excellency not gone through with the episcopal consecrations it is quite possible there would be little if any traditional reminders left today in the postconciliar Church's angst to rid Holy Mother Church of all that preceded Vatican II as Mario explains in asking Schism or the Syllogism of Truth?.
Exspectans exspectavimus Ecclesia Dei
Bishop Bernard Fellay, the General Superior of the Society of St. Pius X, weighs in with the latest news on the on-going on and off talks with modern Rome. Yes, the Society is interested if modern Rome accepts the Truths and Traditions of the past 1900 years; No, if they insist on pushing the Vatican II agenda and expect that the SSPX would ever abandon the ideals of the Saints, Doctors and Popes of the past - all ideals upheld by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre for the greater glory and honor of God - for the necessary salvation of souls. His Excellency shares the latest in his letter Our Relations With Rome.
"Qui legit, intelligat"
For Septuagesima Sunday Father pointed out how biblical history repeats itself from the very place of Babylon to the miraculous power of the only weapon we need in these times of constant terrorist warnings when the real danger at ground zero is: Mortal Sin. Only through the Sacrament of Confession and the graces of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the daily Rosary can we hope to be singe-free from the fires of hell as he explains in his sermon Bombs, Lies, and Duct Tape
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Fifth Sunday After Epiphany focused on the parable of the weeds - the bad, bad cockle that suffocates the good seed so much that one can no longer recognize the garden they once could rely on and from which they could gain the nourishing and necessary wheat of truth as he explained in his sermon The Bad Seed.
Father reminded us in his sermon for the Feast of the Purification that only in the Great Sacrifice - the Holy Mass - can we find our nourishment and strength against the Ordo ab Chao - Order from Chaos. Father Louis explained in "He is like a refining fire"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Third Sunday After Epiphany he didn't mince words in asking if the highest authority on earth is not subject to the absolute authority of God? His affirmation in Matthew 8 affirm that but by the actions and inactions of John Paul II one is left to be gravely concerned as Father Louis explained in The Weeping and Gnashing of Teeth
"Feed My sheep"
Dr. Edward Ciaccio has made the decision to speak out about making decisions. The decisions he's referring to are not just everyday ones, but those which will determine our eternal salvation or damnation. Unless we wake up soon, we won't have the opportunity to make a decision. Wouldn't it be terrible if we depended only on others' decisions when we meet our Maker at our Particular Judgment? That is what the vast majority of civilization is doing today both in the world and the Church, especially the Church where the malaise is far
greater, far more severe because of what is at stake as Ed illustrates in his column Decisions, Decisions!
The Germs of G.I.R.M.
In this issue we bring you part sixty-three of Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey's well-received, thought-provoking series on G.I.R.M. warfare as he continues analyzing and commenting on the ambiguity and errors in the General Instruction of the Roman Missal Tom focuses on paragraphs 187 through 198 which treats, for the most part, the role of the acolyte - the altar servers - which, as Dr. Droleskey points out, have been so obfiscated that no one really knows what is an acolyte. In the innovative novelty world of the Novus Ordo it has become a whacky world of and for acolytes as he explains in Acolytes and whAco-lites!
On the BattleLine
Atila Sinke Guimar„es, a foremost authority on the causes and effects of Vatican II and at the forefront in identifying the charades being proffered by the bishops and curia, exposes the revolution, providing proof that we must all truly stand with the Church Militant On the BattleLine. For his latest viewpoint from the trenches, see his intuitive piece on a possible, very possible "Smoking Gun" that reaches all the way to the Apostolic Palace in his Bird's Eye View: The Papal Letter
Echoes of True Catholicism
One of the more respected experts on medieval history and Catholic culture, Dr. Marian Therese Horvat shares a finding that precedes the founding of this country. In these times paganism seeks to suffocate all that has been established including, first and foremost, the Catholic Faith first brought to America by the Spanish and Portuguese missionaries. The inspiring statue of Our Lady of Conquerors - La Conquistadora stands as a reminder to the revisionists of the power of the Mother of God - the conquest of non-Christians through the boodless victory and why America is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception. For the background and story of the oldest venerated statue of Our Lady in the U.S. see Marian's article La Conquistadora
Pro Life Prescriptions
Dr. Frank Joseph, a Catholic physician and long one of the leading crusaders for the Sanctity of Life, keeps his pulse on the political landscape, identifying the landmines that threaten the life of Christ's most innocent ones - the unborn. Dr. Frank monitors the situation in his columns.
