"No Religion Can Remain!"

The "abomination of desolation" is no less than the taking away of the eternal sacrifice - the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass which was decreed unchangeable by an infallible, dogmatic Sacred Council and holy pontiffs. Sadly, we observe at the end of the week the 33rd commemoration of the "abomination of desolation" foretold in Sacred Scripture. Let him who reads, understand.

Three events occur toward the end of this week. One is Thanksgiving, another is the countdown to the New Liturgical Year, ending this year with the Feast of the Apostle Saint Andrew and beginning with the First Sunday of Advent. The true liturgical year is not composed of the novelty of all-inclusive A, B and C cycles, but rather remains one year only. Why? Because of the wisdom and grace of the Fathers, Saints, Popes and Doctors of the Church over the past two millennia, a set Sanctoral Cycle and Proper of the Season that was established for one reason only: to bring souls into salvation. Never is this more evident than in the Gospel of the Last Sunday After Pentecost, the contents of which in part we will define as to what the Church teaches about the "abomination of desolation" - the third event - the catastrophic, horrendous enforcement of NOM, whose 33rd anniversary modern Rome will celebrate on the First Sunday of Advent.

This Thanksgiving, as in every year at this time, we all gather around the table with family and friends for a feast, a banquet which, thanks to the Protestant influence - i.e. the pilgrims who rejected Catholicism - we gorge on turkey and dressing, cranberries, corn bread, mashed potatoes, squash, and all the trimmings. The Protestant concept of Thanksgiving has given way in the past three decades to a new religion, so to speak, commercialism and football. But this editorial is not about the traditions of Thanksgiving, but rather about the Traditions of Holy Mother Church which have been discarded as mere gizzards and innards that have no use to those whose appetite for the world taints their spiritual palate.

And so, as you gather for Thanksgiving dinner, permit me to give you some grist for the mill. No doubt there will be some neo-Catholics at your table, perhaps in your own family, perhaps even yourself for "neo" means 'new' and though most neo-Catholics do not think they are new, what they have embraced is new - new to the Tried and True that Holy Mother Church always upheld. But in their ignorance to follow their Church leaders without knowing their Faith, they have presumed that what they are hearing is truth. Not! But they have not realized this because they have refused to truly study their Faith, to take the challenge Christ issued in reprimanding His very Own disciples, "O ye of little faith." Those who might consider themselves conservative Catholics, as we once were, continue to live the lie that everything will be fine. It is as if neo-Catholics hope for that spiritual wishbone they can pull anytime and all will be fine again and they mistakenly believe that this Pope is doing all he can to "fix things." Well, when you truly study your Faith you will agree with one thing: the Pope is doing all he can to "fix things" as in meticulously allowing the altering of the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church to accommodate an all-inclusive pan-religious one world order which recognizes false religions. John Paul II's actions over the last two decades give credence to this charge. Argue that, dear friends. Better yet, "dialogue" that? But noooo, those who are all for dialogue with the Jews, Muslims, Protestants, Hindus, Buddhists, Wiccans, whatever, flee from any "dialogue" with Traditional Catholics. Why? Ask yourself why!!! Could it be because they don't want to know the truth? Is it true, that over the last several decades neo-Catholics have become so comfortable in their new, relaxed disciplines of the Church that they do not want to even think they have chosen the wrong cup to drink from? Could it be that what Jack Nicholson uttered in A Few Good Men applies today to the vast majority of neo-Catholics? "You can't handle the truth!"

We have more confidence in neo-Catholics that, if they are sincere, if they truly do care about souls and about their own salvation, they will not be afraid of the truth. In other words, dear neo-Catholics, I believe you can handle the truth if there is irrefutable proof you have veered off the true path by following the vipers of Vatican II. Oooh, there he goes again many neos might be uttering. 'Such strong, accusatory language Mr. Cain uses.' That must be hateful and spiteful. When he writes like that 'I don't feel peace in my heart.' Oh, yes, we've heard that many times. But then, Our Lord was accused of the same for He spoke of the "brood of vipers" several times in chastising them for not acknowledging the Truth Which stood before them; so blinded were they by their own preconceived notions and pride. Father Louis Campbell speaks of this in his sermon in today's issue "He has scattered the proud". In fact, the title of his column that contains his sermons is taken from the Gospel for the Last Sunday After Pentecost, "qui legit, intelligat" - "he that readeth, let him understand." Jesus said that immediately following His words, "When you shall see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place: he that readeth, let him understand."

Many do not understand that there needs to be much necessary criticism not only of these shepherds, but the chief shepherd as well. And well there should be for Our Lord Himself warned of these times we are living. In Luke 21: 6, He says, "As for these things that you behold, the days will come in which there will not be left one stone upon another that will not be thrown down." Slowly, but surely the progressive revolutionaries are tearing the Faith down stone by stone. The heresy of the Jews not needing to be evangelized and saved is one example, the idea that other religions provide salvific results is another. The first dogma of the Church is Extra Ecclesia Nulla Sulla - "Outside the Church there is No Salvation" - has been cast aside in favor of a more palatable humanistic gospel.

Adding to this menu has been an "updating" of Canon Law, Catechism, Liturgy, the Gospel, the Breviary, the Rosary and what not. The worst of these is the "abomination of desolation" - the new mass of Paul VI that by the end of this week will be 33 years old. Why have so many been mesmerized into believing the anathemas fed them? Because, truly, the vast, vast majority of both laity and clergy do not fully know their Faith. Had they, they would have returned to the Tried and True! Tridentine True! in droves rather than slipping farther away. But in the impudicity of the Novus Ordo - better known as what Christ refers to as the "abomination of desolation" (Matt 24: 14) - they have lost their way.

The holy Doctor of the Church Saint Bede the Venerable asserts, in the Haydock Comprehensive Catholic Commentary accompanying the Douay-Rheims New Testament, that the meaning of the words "abomination of desolation" is "a beautiful illustration" in a "spiritual sense" and refers to "when we behold heresies and crimes reigning where we ought to see truth and virtue flourish, then let those who are in Judea, such as have kept the true faith unpolluted, flee to the mountains; that is, rise to the height of perfection; and let those who are on the house-top, those who crucifying the works of the flesh, live according to the spirit, not descend any more to their former way of living according to the flesh." He goes on to state that , "If all heresies tend to the abomination of desolation, that more particularly does which taketh away with other sacraments, and the external worship of God, the very sacrifice of Christ's body and blood; which being taken away, as Saint Cyprian remarketh, no religion can remain."

How many got that? Saint Cyprian's words: NO RELIGION CAN REMAIN!!!

Since the "all heresies tend to the abomination of desolation, that more particularly does which taketh away with other sacraments, and the external worship of God, the very sacrifice of Christ's body and blood" then that would define what the progressivists have done to the Faith and Sacred Liturgy. Ergo, the reforms of Vatican II cannot stand on their own. Since they have no concrete evidence of solid doctrinal basis to be built on, they cannot call themselves Catholic. Before one can be in communion with man, he must be in union with Christ. The religion of Vatican II - the counterfeit church has it the other way. Ergo, no such religion can remain. Ergo there is only one religion which we must cling to, the Faith of our fathers, the Holy Roman Catholic Faith of Pius XII and before, stemming back all the way to Peter, whom our Savior hand-selected to set His Church on its fail-safe course, guaranteed that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Ergo, that being the case, and the fact that the gates of hell are prevailing against the religion of Vatican II, then there is indisputable proof that the religion of Vatican II and the Holy Roman Christian Faith cannot be one in the same. Ergo, flee from the religion of Vatican II for "no religion can remain" and cling to the True religion handed down by Christ and His saints.

The Haydock C.C.C. affirms this very clearly:

"The abomination of desolation was first partly fulfilled by diverse profanations of the temple, as when the image of Caesar was set up in the temple by Pilate, and Adrian's statue in the holy of holies, and when the sacrifices were taken away; but will be more completely fulfilled by Antichrist and his precursors, when they shall attempt to abolish the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass."

Notice the words "attempt to abolish." Because the gates of hell shall not prevail, the architects of the desire to destroy have not been able to abolish the Holy Sacrifice everywhere. Oh, they're trying for few are left within the entire hierarchy of modern times who are favorable to the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church and the lifeline of the Mystical Body of Christ - the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Thanks to men like Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, who we predict will someday - when Vatican II is officially and formally anathematized by a future Pope (who will seek God's will above all else) - be declared a saint, the Faith and facilities for keeping the true Faith have been kept alive. It does not flourish in dioceses and parishes. No, it flourishes in the heart of the faithful remnant who are forced into the catacombs to worship as Catholics have always worshipped. Were it not for the SSPX and other Traditional societies who keep the Traditions pure, and were it not for the loyal Traditional-minded priests who have walked the lonely, but only road to salvation, quite possibly the Antichrist's precursors would have abolished totally the Holy Sacrifice. But it will not be complete because of Christ's promise in Matthew 16: 18.

The Haydock Commentary documents what Saint Hippolytus, a Father of the Church, in his treatise de Ante-Christo wrote :

The churches shall lament with great lamentations, because there shall neither be made oblations, nor incense, nor worship grateful to God...In those days the liturgy (or Mass) shall be neglected, the psalmody shall cease, the reciting of Scripture shall not be heard."
Saints Jerome, Eusebius and Photius echoed this warning. Look around you today and see if this is not true. The Daily Office - the Breviary - once mandatory for every priest, has been abbreviated and the strict discipline of prayer relaxed. The Gospel has been altered to accommodate and placate man with all-inclusive language that mocks God.

   Again, the Commentary reaffirms,

"The prophet Daniel (xii: 11) calculates the reign of the Antichrist, from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away; which by able commentators, is understood of the Sacrifice of the Mass, which the Antichrist will endevour to suppress - The abomination of desolation, or the abominable desolation."

Now let us go to the Old Testament prophecy which Christ spoke of - Daniel, chapter 9: 27, in which the prophet spoke of Christ by name:

"And He shall confirm the covenant with many, in one week: and in the half of the week the victim and the sacrifice shall fail: and there shall be in the temple the abomination of desolation: and the desolation shall continue even to the consummation, and to the end."

This becomes clearer when explained by the Haydock Commentary,

"Many. Christ seems to allude to this passage. Matthew xxvi. 28. He died for all; but several of the Jews particularly, would not receive the proffered grace. C. - Of the week , or in the middle of the week, &c. Because Christ preached three years and a half: and then, by His sacrifice upon the Cross, abolished all the sacrifices of the law. Ch. - Temple. Heb. 'the wing,' (C.) or pinnacle, (H.) the highest part of the temple. C. - Desolation. Some understand this of the profanation of the temple by the crimes of the Jews, and by the bloody faction of the zealots. Others, of the bringing in thither the ensigns and standard of the pagan Romans. Others, in fine, distinguish three different times of desolation: viz that under Antiochus [Machabees]; that when the temple was destroyed by the Romans; and the last near the end of the world, under antichrist. To all which, as they suppose, this prophecy may have a relation. Ch. - Prot. 'For the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even unto the consummation; and that determined, shall be poured upon the desolate.' H. - the ruin shall be entire. C."

Much food for thought there, huh? Consider that this passage in Daniel then contradicts what the Newchurch is pushing in regard to the Jews, that their wait is not in vain. Their own prophet Daniel disagrees. And so does the True Church. Note also again, the reference to 'many' - a crucial point in the Consecration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass - "pro multis" - for the many which post-conciliar operatives have changed to 'for all.' Again this is a denial of the Scriptures. This is anathema as Saint Paul asserts in Galatians 1: 8-10. Yet the modern Church forges on in such accursed teaching condemned by Christ and His Apostles. Do you still insist on following such heresy?

Now let us go to the second time of the desolation, that under Antiochus, the king of Israel in the First Book of Machabees. This is important for this is the first of the two times the eternal sacrifice would be taken away. One would be in Old Testament times, the other in New Testament times - both near the end of those periods. The entire first chapter of the First Book of Machabees is a microcosm of what has happened over the past 40 years in our time. Read with me and ask yourself if the following does not parallel these times:

"Now it came to pass after that Alexander, the son of Philip, the Macedonian, who first reigned in Greece, coming out of the land of Cethim, had over-thrown Darius, king of the Persians and Medes: He fought many battles, and took the strong holds of all, and slew the kings of the earth: And he went through even to the ends of the earth: and took the spoils of many nations: and the earth was quiet before him. And he gathered a power, and a very strong army: and his heart was exalted and lifted up: And he subdued countries of nations, and princes; and they became tributaries to him. And after these things, he fell down upon his bed, and knew that he should die. And he called his servants, the nobles that were brought up with him from his youth: and he divided his kingdom among them, while he was yet alive. And Alexander reigned twelve years, and he died. And his servants made themselves kings, every one in his place: And they all put crowns upon themselves after his death, and their sons after them, many years; and evils were multiplied in the earth. And there came out of them a wicked root, Antiochus the illustrious, the son of king Antiochus, who had been a hostage at Rome: and he reigned in the hundred and thirty-seventh year of the kingdom of the Greeks. In those days there went out of Israel wicked men, and they persuaded many, saying: Let us go and make a covenant with the heathens that are round about us: for since we departed from them, many evils have befallen us. And the word seemed good in their eyes. And some of the people determined to do this, and went to the king: and he gave them license to do after the ordinances of the heathens. And they built a place of exercise in Jerusalem, according to the laws of the nations: And they made themselves prepuces, and departed from the holy covenant, and joined themselves to the heathens, and were sold to do evil: And the kingdom was established before Antiochus, and he had a mind to reign over the land of Egypt, that he might reign over two kingdoms. And he entered into Egypt with a great multitude, with chariots and elephants, and horsemen, and a great number of ships: And he made war against Ptolemee, king of Egypt; but Ptolemee was afraid at his presence, and fled, and many were wounded unto death. And he took the strong cities in the land of Egypt, and he took the spoils of the land of Egypt. And after Antiochus had ravaged Egypt, in the hundred and forty-third years, he returned and went up against Israel. And he went to Jerusalem, with a great multitude. And he proudly entered the sanctuary, and took away the golden altar, and the candlestick of light, and all the vessels thereof, and the table of proposition, and the pouring vessels, and the vials, and the little mortars of gold, and the veil, and the crowns, and the golden ornament that was before the temple: and he broke them all in pieces. And he took the silver and gold, and the precious vessels: and he took the hidden treasures, which he found: and when he had taken all away, he departed into his own country. And he made a great slaughter of men, and spoke very proudly. And there was great mourning in Israel, and in every place where they were: And the princes, and the ancients mourned, and the virgins and the young men were made feeble, and the beauty of the women was changed. Every bridegroom took up lamentation: and the bride that sat in in the marriage bed, mourned: And the land was moved for the inhabitants thereof, and all the house of Jacob was covered with confusion. And after two full years, the king sent the chief collector of his tribute to the cities of Juda, and he came to Jerusalem with a great multitude. And he spoke to them peacable words in deceit; and they believed him. And he fell upon the city suddenly, and struck it with a great slaughter, and destroyed much people in Israel. And he took the spoils of the city, and burnt it with fire, and threw down the houses thereof, and the wall thereof round about: And they took the women captive, and the children, and the cattle they possessed. And they built the city of David with a great and strong wall, and with strong towers, and made it a fortress for them: And they placed there a sinful nation, wicked men, and they fortified themselves therein: and they stored up armor, and victuals, and gathered together the spoils of Jerusalem; And laid them up there: and they became a great snare. And this was a place to lie in wait against the sanctuary, and an evil devil in Israel. And they shed innocent blood round about the sanctuary, and defiled the holy place. And the inhabitants of Jerusalem fled away by reason of them, and the city was made the habitation of strangers, and she became a stranger to her own seed, and her children forsook her. Her sanctuary was desolate like a wildernes, her festival days were turned into mourning, her sabbaths into reproach, her honours were brought to nothing. Her dishonour was increaed according to her glory, and her excellency was turned into mourning. And king Antiochus wrote to all his kingdom that all the people should be one: and every one should leave his own law. And all nations consented, according to the word of king Antiochus. And many of Israel consented to his service, and they sacrificed to idols, and profaned the sabbath. And the king sent letters by the hands of messengers to Jerusalem, and to all the cities of Juda; that they should follow the law of the nations of the earth. And should forbid holocausts and sacrifices, and atonements to be made in the temple of God. And should prohibit the sabbath, and the festival days to be celebrated. And he commanded the holy place to be profaned, and the holy people of Israel. And he commanded altars to be built, and temples, and idols, and swine's flesh to be immolated, and unclean beasts. And that they should leave their children uncircumcised, and let their souls be defiled with all uncleanness, and abominations, to the end that they should forget the law, and should change all the justifications of God. And that whosoever would not do according to the word of king Antiochus, should be put to death. According to all these words he wrote to his whole kingdom: and he appointed rulers over the people that should force them to do these things. And they commanded the cities of Juda to sacrifice. Then many of the people were gathered to them that had forsaken the law of the Lord: and they committed evils in the land: And they drove away the people of Israel into lurking holes, and into the secret places of fugitives. On the fifteenth day of the month, Casleu, in the hundred and forty-fifth year, king Antiochus set up the abominable idol of desolation upon the altar of God, and they built altars throughout the cities of Juda round about: And they burnt incense, and sacrificed at the doors of the houses and in the streets. And they cut in pieces, and burnt with fire the books of the law of God: And every one with whom the books of the testament of the Lord were found, and whosoever observed the law of the Lord, they put to death, according to the edict of the king. Thus by their power did they deal with the people of Israel, that were found in the cities month after month. And on the five and twentieth day of the month, they sacrificed upon the altar of the idol that was over against the altar of God, Now the women that circumcised their children, were slain according to the commandment of king Antiochus. And they hanged the children about their necks in all their houses: and those that had circumcised them, they put to death. And many of the people of Israel determined with themselves, that they would not eat unclean things: and they chose rather to die, than to be defiled with unclean meats: And they would not break the holy law of God, and they were put to death: And there was very great wrath upon the people."

Now I included the entire first chapter of the First Book of Machabees for five reasons.

1. Many are lazy and will not pick up their bibles to refer to the Scripture cited.
2. Most of the newer versions vary greatly from the Latin translation and therefore we provide the untainted Douay-Rheims version for all to read.
3. The two books of Machabees are not in Protestant bibles, even though they were included in the Holy Scriptures and mandated so at the Council of Florence before the Protestant revolt and Martin Luther's non serviam.
4. I pray you will share this passage with others so that they can read and understand, "Qui legit, intelligat".
5. In future editorials I will break down this first chapter and show how it parallels what has happened in our beloved Church and how, it proves beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the Novus Ordo is the "abomination of desolation" as foretold by Daniel, affirmed by Our Lord, and testified to by the saints. Read it and e-mail us your comments.

I pray you all have a blessed, grace-filled Thanksgiving and while nourishing your body, remember to nourish the soul by pondering these things in your heart and feel free to "dialogue" to your heart's content while chomping down on the turkey and pumpkin pie. I pray you will discover the meat of the message which, in fact, is that the religion of Vatican II and its new customs is the real turkey! Realize also that this apostate 'bird' will always leave a sour taste and cause poisoning of the soul for, without the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, as St. Cyprian stated so clearly: "No Religion can remain!"
