Saint Michael the Archangel The Battle is on! Led by the mighty Saint Michael, we have the power by "the Power of God to cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits..." Let's use it!!!

satan is more active and brazen than ever    In our editorial this week, we entreat the readers to realize how powerful Saint Michael the Archangel is as God's leading warrior for good. As the Church Militant we need to take seriously our role and hold up our part of the bargain. It's no time to be timid. God has shown us through His signs that these are desperate times. Satan is running amok and we're letting him. Despite all the natural disasters over the last several years, we still haven't learned. God's trying to tell us something and we're too dense to understand He's calling us to arms - taking up the most powerful weapon we have - the Holy Rosary and our Faith and storm the ramparts of the world and Heaven with this mighty artillery of prayer. We, as a key component of the Communion of Saints are a team and if we don't jell as such, then we're destined to fall in battle. This is no time for cowardice, no time to retreat, no time to let the other guy do it. It's every man and woman for God. Do you hear the "Charge!!!" For our commentary, St. Michael can't do it by himself! see CATHOLIC PewPOINT

A Call to be a Sign of Contradiction
In the same vein as this weekend's editorial above, we share with you a Guest Commentary by Terrell Blodgettabout this upcoming election.
As Catholics we are called to vote! We are called to accountability. See No More Complicity

Angels hear the bell and hang on for the ride

On September 29th, the Feast of the Archangels Saint Michael, Saint Gabriel and Saint Raphael, we bring you Sister Mary Lucy Astuto's first hand account of her encounter with angels as she also relates the reality of these Heavenly beings with an account of Blessed Padre Pio's angel in her weekly GETTING TO THE HEART OF THE MATTER column.
    SATURDAY
    Saint Jerome

On September 30th we celebrate the Feast of that esteemed scholar and Doctor of the Church Saint Jerome who translated the Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic texts of Sacred Scripture into an understandable Latin edition called the Latin Vulgate Bible which has been the official translation ever since.
    SUNDAY
St. Therese of the Child Jesus

On October 1st we continue our series of installments of the important document on "No Salvation Outside the Church" Dominus Jesus. One who believed strongly in that was Saint Therese of Lisieux who was made a Doctor of the Church four years ago by Pope John Paul II.
    MONDAY

On October 2nd we celebrate the Feast of the Guardian Angels and columnist Pat Ludwa extolls the reasons why we extoll the Queen of Angels - the Blessed Virgin Mary in so many ways and how her Heavenly assistance is so powerful before God. Pat illustrates how God directs us to honor His Mother, venerating this exalted being as Mother of the His Church here on earth.
    TUESDAY
TV is the tabernacle of satan

On October 3rd we bring you the twelfth installment of Cyndi Cain's inspirational SYMPHONY OF SUFFERING. Today she asks if we are gambling away our souls by turning our attention to trivial pursuits, largely through TV which is the tabernacle of satan. The more we do that, the less attention and care we afford Jesus in the true Tabernacle.
    WEDNESDAY
    Saint Francis of Assisi

On October 4th we celebrate the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi. Also we bring you Dr. Frank Joseph's Pro-Life Prescriptions column in which he shares Archbishop Elden Curtiss' pastoral letter to his flock in Omaha which, in truth, is directed at all Catholics to encourage life in all stages and to warn them of their moral duty to vote for those who will uphold the Sanctity of life.
    THURSDAY

On October 5th, we continue our GIFT OF OUR FAITH series on the First Commandment as we treat the Sins Against Hope and Charity and how we need to be aware of the dangers of despair in sins against Hope, and hatred, envy, sloth, and scandal in sins against Charity. All must guard themselves against these sins by placing God first in fulfillment of the First Commandment.
