Pro-Life Prescriptions:

Death beckons countless more lives with the abortion pill. Early or late, whatever method used to end the life of a human being, it is still murder. The value of life is snuffed out with something as innocent as a pill. Don't be fooled, there is nothing innocent about the Abortion Pill!

In today's issue Dr. Frank Joseph provides a timely article on the dangers of the pill. In the sixties it was the pill to prevent conception. Today, if that doesn't work, there's a second "failsafe" pill to make sure the woman doesn't bring her child to full pregnancy. It's the easy way out, it's the lazy way out, it's the evil way out. It's called RU-486. They're going to call it "Early Option" and that's the problem, sugar-coating death where it desensitizes a woman's conscience. But it won't. Deep down she'll know she aborted her baby, she killed any chance of bringing to life her own flesh and blood. And, with each pill she downs, her heart will harden that much more while eventually her body will betray itself and the dastardliness of her crime will haunt her forever. All for a few selfish moments in her youth. Is it worth it? Definitely not. Not just for a woman's own health and welfare, but for the flesh and blood she conceives in her womb - a gift from God that is discarded as just another bother to her - an interruption of her already corrupt lifestyle. With the morning after pill it most probably will lead not to a good morning, but an eternity of mourning. For Dr. Joseph's column There won't ever be a morning for millions if the Morning After pill is successful , see Pro-Life Prescriptions: LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!

No more Blood and Gore!!

We encourage you to go to the Pro-Life links below to keep up to date on the great battle between life and death - the Sanctity of Life vs. the culture of death led by pro-abort candidates and those who would advance immorality, sodomy, perjury, etc. We refer you to our HOMEPORT ENTRY PAGE where you will find a typograph of a chalice, a chalice overflowing with the innocent blood of the aborted babies nearing 40 to 50 million. Enough is enough! The story and our purpose is outlined in this typograph and for more information and why we will not give up, see DEFEND LIFE Pray and urge others to VOTE FOR LIFE!

O God, Who, for the preaching of the Gospel to the poor, and for advancing the honor of the priesthood, didst endow Blessed Vincent with apostolic power; grant, we beseech Thee that we who honor his godly life, may likewise be taught by the example of his virtues. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, world without end. Amen.

    The DAILY WORD
Taken from the Gospel for Wednesday's Mass

"Take nothing for your journey, neither staff, nor wallet, nor bread, nor money; neither have two tunics. And whatever house you enter, stay there, and do not leave the place. And whoever does not receive you - go forth from that town, and shake off even the dust from your feet for a witness against them."

    Luke 9: 3-5

Events that happened Today in Church History

Pope Paul III approved the Jesuits    Today is the 460th anniversary of Pope Paul III officially approving the Society of Jesus religious order of priests founded by Saint Ignatius of Loyola and others. The Holy Father's Papal Bull Regimini militantis ecclesiae gave solemn recognition to the Company known as the Jesuit Fathers with the specific purpose of defending the Faith against Protestantism and to be the vanguard for the Pope. Famous quotes of Bishop Fulton J. SheenWe've forgotten how to remember

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the words of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen have been known to launch a thousand images in one's mind, one of the ways this late luminary did so much to evangelize the faith. Because of the urgency of the times and because few there are today who possess the wisdom, simplicity and insight than the late Archbishop who touched millions, we are bringing you daily gems from his writings. The good bishop makes it so simple that we have dubbed this daily series: "SIMPLY SHEEN".

" Memory is one of the most neglected factors in modern education. In previous generations children had to memorize poetry, irregular verbs, and important historical dates, and such is still the case in many European schools. Perhaps the neglect of memory is in part due to the modern contempt of anything that implies effort, discipline and application. But the penalties are terrific as businessmen go madly searching for typists who can spell. "
